Chapter 35: Over My Head
Kyle collapsed on his bed exhausted from rehearsals. The stage was finally built and he was helping the guys run their choreography and get used to the different levels of the stage. It was so much fun, but exhausting.
He wasn't surprised when his bedroom door burst open either. He knew it wouldn't be long before Miles showed up. He was sure that he had heard him in Leora's room complaints no about homework.
"Dude!" Miles said as he shut the door behind him. He ran over to the bed and fell down beside him.
"How did you know I was home?" Kyle asked.
"I heard you come in. I was helping Leora study for a test. It's sooo boring. She really means study when she says study," Miles whined.
"Well that's what you get for "kind of" dating someone. You need to hurry up and seal the deal and then you can get all the benefits of actually dating someone. And when you do I don't wanna hear about it cause that's my sister," Kyle said quickly.
"That's what I've got Lucas for and he keeps telling me the same thing," Miles sighed.
"So why haven't you?" Kyle asked.
"It's complicated," Miles said looking away from the blonde.
The pair lapsed into silence. They never really talked about what they were doing. Whenever they got close Kyle froze up and changed the subject. As long as they didn't talk about it, they didn't have to figure things out. What they were doing was fun. It was a stress relief. It meant nothing.
"Anyways I think she wants me to ask her to prom and I'm not sure I even wanna go," Miles said moving on. He knew better than to press Kyle. It wasn't going to help anything.
"Weren't you the one last year who told me that I couldn't miss prom?" Kyle asked.
"Yeah, but that's junior prom. We are all done with school soon, we are onto bigger and better things. Like the summer tour," Miles said.
"You act like you're in the band," Kyle snorted.
"I'm stowing away. I have been there most days with you whipping them all into shape and I helped you with your set," Miles said.
"Oh I know you're coming with, but you're more like a behind the scenes kind of guy. With all the footage you have I'm sure you could make one of those tour documentaries," Kyle said.
"Oh my god I could. And I could make so much money off it too!" Miles declared.
"Probably could," Kyle laughed. His phone started ringing. He fished it from his pocket and saw Leora calling. "Dude she's busting you." He laughed as he showed Miles his phone.
"I'm not here!" Miles declared.
Kyle sat up as he answered his phone. "He told me to tell you he's not here. Miles is not a good study buddy. He's got a short attention span and cannot focus that long. I'm surprised he lasted this long. Be proud of him."
"Dude," Miles glared at Kyle for being sold out like that.
"Actually I was done and I wanted to see if you bozos wanted to go get some frozen yogurt," Leora giggled.
"Frozen yogurt? Have you completely given up on studying then?" Kyle asked.
"Yes, I need a break. I can't do this anymore. If I fail I fail," Leora said.
"I want frozen yogurt," Miles said, putting his hand up.
"Your boy toy is in, we will meet you downstairs," Kyle laughed. Leora laughed at that.
"Stop," Miles said, his cheeks going red.
"We will be down in a few," Kyle chuckled as he hung up. "What's the matter? I thought you guys were kind of dating."
"Yes but...like we haven't even kissed yet so boy toy just…" Miles trailed off.
"You haven't even kissed her yet?" Kyle asked shocked.
"No, the timing hasn't seemed right and when I try someone interrupts," Miles said, shooting a glare at Kyle.
"Me? When? I would never-oh wait are you talking about last week at movie night?" Kyle asked grinning.
"Maybe," Miles said.
"She was in my spot. I always sit next to you for movie night. She knows that you were my best friend first. I'm not gonna give that up just because you're dating my sister," Kyle said waving a hand.
"Besides if I were anyone's boy toy-" Miles started.
"Is that what you wanna call it now?" Kyle asked.
"Well what do you wanna call it?" Miles asked.
"I don't know," Kyle shrugged, "two best friends who do what they want cause they are best friends."
"I like mine better, it's less wordy," Miles laughed. He jumped up and held a hand out to the blonde.
Kyle took his hand and allowed him to pull him to his feet. Miles started for the door.
"You're not hesitating with Leora because of me are you?" Kyle asked.
"No, this isn't a relationship. This is two friends doing whatever they want to because we are best friends," Miles shrugged. He made a hasty exit.
Kyle followed after him. He knew that Miles wasn't being completely honest with him, but he let it go for now. The less they talked about it the less complicated it was.
Leora was already waiting for them. She turned to them with a slight glare.
"Come on let's go," she said glancing at herself in the mirror and adjusting her hair.
"You look fine princess," Kyle said, giving her a shove towards the door.
"Rude," Leora said, glaring at him.
"Stop fighting or neither of you is going to get frozen yogurt," Miles chastised them.
—Happy Mistakes—
Jake yawned as he filled his laundry basket. Laundry was one of his least favorite chores. It was so tedious and never truly done. As he finished loading his basket he heard someone enter the laundry room. He looked up and saw an unfamiliar face. He must've been the new guy that moved in on the sixth floor.
"Oh I didn't realize anyone was here," he said.
"Don't worry I'm all done. It's all yours," Jake said smiling at him. "Just stay away from the one in the corner. It eats your money."
"Thanks, I'm Tyler by the way," He said smiling.
"Jake, you must be the new guy who moved in last week," Jake said.
"Yeah, I was supposed to be moving in with my brother and girlfriend but I caught them cheating on me," Tyler said.
"Sounds rough," Jake said.
"It's ok I gave them mono," Tyler said waving his hand.
"Ok I think I need an explanation," Jake said.
"My best friend got mono and I was suspicious of Kimmy cheating so I made sure she took a drink from Jethro's water bottle. Then my brother came home for a weekend from college complaining Of being sick to our parents cause he's a wuss and mom took him to the doctor and it came back mono," Tyler said.
"Wow, sounds like they got what they deserved," Jake replied.
"Yeah Kimmy tried to play it off like I got him sick, but I never got mono. I told her what I did and she tried to lie her way out, but Reed told me the truth. They had been sneaking around for almost a year. God I felt so stupid," Tyler said shaking his head.
"It happens to the best of us," Jake replied.
"Anyways thanks for listening to a stranger rant," Tyler said.
"No problem, sometimes we just need to get things off our chests," Jake said.
"Ok you got anything? Laundry room confessions are cheaper than therapy," Tyler joked.
"Not at the moment," Jake chuckled, "rain check."
"I'll hold you to it," Tyler said.
Jake chuckled again as he grabbed his laundry basket. He left the laundry room after saying his goodbyes. He made his way back up to his apartment.
He entered the apartment and saw Damien standing over Eli's playpen trying to soothe the crying infant.
Damien had been home for a few days now. He was doing much better as the days went by. He still had stitches in his stomach that he had to be careful of. He was on a weight restriction and light duty. He hadn't been going to class or work. Most of his coworkers had signed a card for him and sent well wishes for him to get better.
"Hey, I'm back," Jake said, setting his laundry basket down. He picked up Eli and turned to Damien.
"He just woke up," Damien said as he moved back to the couch.
"I'll go change him and then I'll take care of the laundry. Don't over do it Day," Jake said as he walked away.
"I'm not," Damien replied.
Jake changed Eli and returned to the living room. He sat down beside Damien gently rocking Eli who was busy waving his hands in the air.
"What took so long?" Damien asked.
"Oh, I got caught talking to the new neighbor," Jake replied waving a hand.
"Small talk is gross," Damien said, making a face.
"I agree, but he seems friendly enough," Jake chuckled.
"So what do you want for supper?" Damien asked.
"No, you relax I've got this," Jake said.
"Jake I don't want takeout again. You can't cook to save your life," Damien said shaking his head.
"I know that, but you're not supposed to do anything strenuous. I got it covered," Jake said.
"Please don't burn the apartment down," Damien said.
The front door opened, shocking the two. Jake sighed as Adam walked in with the kids and Cooper in tow. He had several grocery bags too.
"I gave you that key as an emergency use," Jake said annoyed.
"Jake sent me the SOS saying you needed food," Adam explained.
"See I told you I had it covered," Jake said waving a hand at Damien.
"Miri, remember Uncle Day is still hurting so you gotta be gentle," Adam said as he set her down.
"Show uncle Damien what you did to your tummy," Cooper said as he walked over to a chair and sat down with Kenny in his lap.
Miri ran up to Damien and Jake. She enthusiastically lifted up her shirt to reveal crudely drawn stitches in slightly fading black ink.
"It's sharpie and won't come off," Cooper said.
"We match," Damien said smiling at her. Miri's grin grew. She climbed up onto the couch to sit beside Damien.
"Mach," she declared, showing her tummy again.
"This is what you have to look forward to guys, when they go quiet it is never a good sign," Adam said from the kitchen.
"Noted, but Eli is barely sitting up, we have a little while before he's mobile," Jake replied.
"Oh he will be crawling in no time," Cooper replied, "seriously cherish it while you can."
Jake and Cooper settled into chatter while Adam cooked. Damien sat back with Miri playing gently with her. She was being very careful of his stitches too.
"Oh Jake, did Blaine talk to you yet?" Cooper asked.
"About what?" Jake asked confused.
"He's gonna be a dad," Adam said.
"And they're engaged," Cooper said.
"About time," Jake said.
"I thought they were never gonna figure it out," Damien agreed.

Kendall made his way into the house barely missing the three teenagers running from the house shouting about going for frozen yogurt and they'd be back later. He gave a wave as they left. He knew better than to grill them. They were all practically adults now. He had to trust them to make good choices.
He wandered into the living room where James was sitting on the floor with Jenny at her table. They were currently drawing together. Smiling he walked over to the pair. James looked up with a smile of his own. Jenny was occupied with her crayons.
"Coloring?" Kendall asked.
"Yeah, it's keeping her occupied," James said. He held a hand out to the blonde. Kendall helped him to his feet. James pecked him on the lips. "How was work?"
"It was ok, the boys are very busy. Everything is falling into place," Kendall said.
"I forgot all about supper. Jenny and I got busy coloring," James admitted.
"That's ok, let's go out for supper," Kendall said, "make it a date night for three."
"What about Kyle and Leora?" James asked, "I think I heard Miles too."
"They left as I was coming in," Kendall chuckled.
"Oh," James said slowly, "I didn't even hear them leave."
"I'm sure they were trying not to get caught cause Leora is supposed to be studying for a test, but she's got her limits. I told her to take it easy," Kendall said.
"I know she's pushing herself too hard," James said.
"Let's be glad that she hasn't been too boy crazy this year," Kendall said.
"Oh haven't you heard," James asked slowly.
"What?" Kendall asked, confused.
"Her and Miles are kind of a thing now," James said slowly, "like I think they've been on a few dates."
"What? Since when?" Kendall asked shocked.
"Since the San Diego trip, I think," James said.
"Ok then, I guess I didn't know she liked him like that," Kendall said nodding his head.
"She confided in me that she was unsure of her feelings and I told her to go for it," James said.
"Hopefully this relationship sticks or I'm sure Logan might actually have a mental break," Kendall joked.
"I wonder if they even know yet?" James pondered.
"Probably not, if I didn't know then they don't know," Kendall said pulling his phone out.
"Don't say anything yet. I'm not even sure if it's official," James said waving a hand. He looked up at Kendall and to his phone.
"What?" Kendall asked.
"You better not be texting Logan," James said with a frown.
"I'm texting Los, to see if they wanna go out for dinner," Kendall said smiling innocently at him.
"Kendall," James said.
"What? I can't invite our friends to hang out and have dinner?" Kendall asked as his phone buzzed. "Carlos said they are in, with Layla."
"You hear that Jenny you've got a date with Layla tonight," James asked looking down at the toddler who was still coloring. She looked up and spotted Kendall for the first time. She jumped up and ran to him.
"Wow she was focused on her coloring," Kendall chuckled. He scooped her up into his arms. "I think we might have another artist on our hands."
"Behave at dinner," James said.
"I make no such guarantees," Kendall said.
"You are awful sometimes," James sighed.
"Yeah, but I'm cute so I can get away with it," Kendall said, batting his eyes at James. James' glare softened as he chuckled at him. "You laughed, I win!"
"I'm gonna text the other two just make sure they know to get their own food," James said, shaking his head.
"Come on Jenny let's go get all dolled up for our date," Kendall said as he ran from the room with the toddler, who was giggling.

Lucas squirmed away from the hand that was poking his side. He shot Artie a playful glare. Artie just put his hands up with a smirk. He was currently trying to eat his frozen yogurt in peace. Artie seemed to have other ideas.
"Stop," Lucas said.
"I'm not doing anything," Artie said, feigning innocence.
"Lies!" Lucas accused.
"I would never," Artie replied, batting his eyes at Lucas.
"You're lucky I like you," Lucas said.
"Only like?" Artie asked pouting.
"No I love you," Lucas said smiling as he leaned over and pecked him on the lips.
"Aw, how sweet."
The pair turned as Kyle approached them. Lucas rolled his eyes at the blonde, causing him to laugh. He took a seat across from the couple setting his frozen yogurt on the table.
"Where are the other two?" Artie asked looking around.
"Still deciding on what they want," Kyle said pointing to the counter where Miles and Leora were busy making their treats.
"You think they're gonna make it official soon?" Lucas asked.
"Why haven't they?" Artie asked, confused.
"Miles is still trying to figure things out. He's always hesitant with relationships. Him and Rion went back and forth over things so many times before they went official and he never actually went official with Sara," Kyle said.
"What about that guy he was seeing? Did he tell you who it was," Lucas asked curiously.
"That was a one time thing. He was experimenting," Kyle said, "and no he won't even tell me much about that."
"But this is Leora, he can trust her," Lucas said.
"But this is also Miles who's faced so much shit in his life he's always scared of things going wrong. He had been so sure that Logan and Carlos were gonna get a divorce," Kyle said.
"Here they come, quiet," Artie said, nudging Lucas. He looked up at the pair with a smile and a wave.
"About time," Lucas said.
"Sorry, I couldn't decide," Miles said as he slid into the booth next to Kyle. Leora looked at Kyle.
"Pull up a chair princess," Kyle said, "I was here first."
Leora rolled her eyes and grabbed a chair from the next table. She sat down.
"You're rude," Leora told her brother.
"No I was quick and besides Miles and I always sit together. We are best friends after all," Kyle said placing an arm around Miles with a grin.
"He's got a point," Miles agreed.
"You two are…" Leora trailed off not sure what to say. She shook her head and turned to Lucas and Artie. "Hi Artie, how are you?"
"Actually I've got some good news to share," Artie said.
"Surgery?" Kyle asked.
"Yep, I got my emancipation papers a few weeks ago and now I've been approved for top surgery," Artie said proudly.
"Awesome dude!" Miles said.
"That's great," Leora said, smiling as well.
"I know I'm excited to finally get it done, but I'm a little nervous too," Artie admitted.
"It's ok to be nervous. Surgery is always scary, but you can do it," Lucas said smiling at him.
"Make sure you get a good plastic surgeon, too. They are great at not leaving scars that are noticeable," Kyle said.
"Oh grandpa Art gave me the drill already. He's gonna help me get the best care," Artie said. "I just feel like this is a step closer to me finally being my authentic self."
—Happy Mistakes—
Matt yawned as he made his way back to his apartment with Penelope's latest craving in hand. She had been craving pickles like mad lately. Today was a cheeseburger with extra pickles. He didn't mind the craving too much. According to Adam these were very mild cravings. His had been stranger than hers.
He entered the apartment and heard laughter coming from the kitchen. He froze as he recognized that laugh. He looked to his left and saw Penelope sitting with her older sister Tasha.
"Tasha," Matt said, plastering a smile on his face. He looked behind her to Penelope who was mouthing an apology to him. "To what do we owe this surprise visit?"
"I was just checking in on my sister, and making sure you're taking good care of her," Tasha said standing up.
"Trust me Pen doesn't need anyone taking care of her. She is more than capable," Matt said crossing the room. He set the takeout on the counter.
Tasha's ever went right to the bag with a frown. She turned to Penelope. "Tell me he's feeding you correctly. You can't be eating take out. You're pregnant!"
"Actually this is the first time we've had takeout in almost two weeks. We have been limiting our takeout and usually it's a lot better than this," Matt said forcing a smile.
"I jus wanted a cheeseburger with pickles tonight. It's not that big of a deal," Penelope said, waving her hand at Tasha.
"You are carrying a child. You have to be very mindful of what you're putting in your body," Tasha said.
"Oh relax, one cheeseburger here and there isn't going to hurt the baby. I've been taking all my vitamins and eating right. I just want a cheeseburger," Penelope said standing up. She walked over to the counter to grab her food.
"Yes, but you gotta be careful too. You don't wanna put on too much weight either," Tasha said.
"Actually I've only gained like five pounds so far. It's all baby here," Penelope said looking down at her stomach.
"Sorry I didn't mean-I just worry about the baby," Tasha said.
"Tasha relax, everything is fine. The baby is healthy and right on track. I am taking great care of myself too. I really don't eat like this all the time," Penelope said.
"It's true, she's been forcing me to eat more salads with her. She's even been on a vegetarian like kick for awhile, which is why I was surprised that she even wanted a cheeseburger," Matt said.
"Sorry," Tasha said, "I just worry about you. You're my little sister. I'll always worry about you." She looked at Matt.
"Well I am here helping Penelope. I'm not going anywhere," Matt said.
"Oh really? Wasn't it just a few months ago you were telling me you didn't want kids for quite a while," Tasha said.
"Yes that was what I said, but things have changed," Matt said annoyed. He hated when Tasha got like this. Ever since Penelope announced her pregnancy, she seemed to hate Matt.
"Tasha stop," Penelope said.
"I'm just saying-" Tasha said.
"Not everyone is like Michael. Matty is here to stay. We have talked at length about this. We are both excited to start this new adventure together," Penelope said.
Matt opened his mouth to reply as well but his phone started ringing. He fished it from his pocket and saw Noah's name on his screen. "I gotta take this," he said walking away from the pair.
He walked into their bedroom trying to ignore Tasha as she got mad at him for just walking away. He felt sorry for Penelope. He answered his phone.
"Matty help!!! I don't know where Jer and Ro went. I'm all alone!" Noah screeched into the phone.
"Whoa Noah, calm down," Matt said, jerking away from the phone. "What's wrong? What happened? Where are you?"
"They left me at In-N-Out. I went to the bathroom and came back and they were gone. They aren't answering their phones either. I am locked in a bathroom stall because there is a horde out there who recognized me and I panicked," Noah said quickly.
"I'm on my way. Send me your location," Matt said.
"Hurry!" Noah squeaked.
Matt promised to hurry as he hung up. He left the bedroom and saw Penelope looking at him quizzically.
"Noah needs me, I'll be back in a little bit," Matt said.
"Is everything ok?" Penelope asked.
"Yes, Jared and Roldy are jerks, is all, he's gonna wanna stay here for a bit," Matt said as he grabbed his keys from the counter.
"Yes he can stay as long as he wants," Penelope said.
"You just let his friends come over whenever they want?" Tasha asked.
"Yes, especially Noah," Penelope said, shooting her sister a glare. "Noah is too precious for this world and we take good care of him right Matty?" She asked.
"Yep, Noah is my best friend since forever. He's been there for me at my lowest and and vice versa, not that I owe you any explanation of my friendship," Matt snapped.
"He's right," Penelope said before Tasha could reply. "If you're only here to rip on Matty and me then I think you should leave," she added.
"Penelope," Tasha said shocked.
"I'm serious ever since you got here all you've done is talk down about Matt not being here, or taking care of his friends, or how his job isn't a real job, or I'm doing everything wrong. I don't care if my baby comes out with three heads because I ate a cheeseburger. I will love my baby no matter what and so will Matty," Penelope said putting her foot down. "Now please leave."
"That's not fair-" Tasha started.
"Tasha, she asked you to leave," Matt cut her off.
Penelope led her to the door and nudged her out. She shut the door before she could complain. Penelope took a deep breath.
"That was awesome but I gotta go get Noah," Matt said, stepping up and pecking her on the cheek.
"I'm coming with," Penelope said looking at her burger. She sighed and put it in the fridge. "I'm not that hungry anymore."
"Ok let's go," Matt said, leading her to the door.

Layla smiled as she played with Jenny. The toddler was happy to have someone paying attention to her. Layla didn't mind being on toddler duty. It was actually kind of fun, and Jenny was so adorable.
"So, are you guys gonna tell us why you invited us out or what?" Carlos asked Kendall and James.
"What? We can't just want to spend time with our best friends?" James asked.
"No, especially when Kendall's been antsy this entire time like he's got a secret that he's ready to spill," Logan replied.
"Why does everybody think I've got secrets?" Kendall asked.
"This is true, you can't keep your mouth shut, which means whatever you're not telling us might be slightly upsetting," Logan said.
"What-?" Kendall asked, feigning innocence.
"Go ahead, you're gonna tell them anyways," James sighed.
"Did you guys know about Miles and Leora dating? Cause like I had no clue until James told me a few hours ago," Kendall asked.
"What?" Carlos asked.
"I mean it kind of makes sense, didn't Miles, like have a huge crush on her back in grade school?" Logan asked.
"I knew," Layla said, putting her hand up. "Except they aren't official yet."
"Apparently this happened on that trip they took to San Diego," Kendall added.
"What?" Carlos asked again.
"I know right. How have we not noticed?" Kendall replied.
"Because they aren't broadcasting it yet. Miles isn't sure of things yet," Layla said.
"What do you know?" Kendall asked.
"I know that dessert would be amazing," Layla said.
"Deal," Kendall said, "now spill."
"You two are awful," James sighed.
"So right before Leora asked Miles out he was kind of seeing someone. We don't know who, because he was being very tight lipped, but like he had a few hickeys that he wasn't doing much to hide. Lucas kept bugging him about it but Miles wouldn't tell. Leora got jealous and asked him out, but I don't think he has stopped seeing this other guy because he's still getting hickeys and he claims that he hasn't even kissed Leora yet," Layla said.
"Guy?" James asked.
"Yeah, Miles came out as pansexual recently and when we asked him whether it was a guy or girl he turned red and wouldn't say anything which means he was probably experimenting," Layla said shrugging.
"And you didn't tell us this because?" Carlos asked.
"You never asked," Layla shrugged.
"That's why you're my favorite," Kendall said.
"You're a bad influence," Logan said, shaking his head. "God she's just like you too."
"I'm the best influence, and yes I would spill secrets for dessert too," Kendall laughed.
"Which I earned, did I not?" Layla asked.
"For sure kid, you earned you dessert," Kendall said smiling at her.
"Awesome, Jenny and I both want the chocolate cake," Layla declared.
"Make that three," Kendall said. James rolled his eyes at him.

Kyle sighed as he stood back watching the two couples before him. They had decided to walk around the mall and do some shopping. Leora was at Miles' side the second they left the food court. She made sure to put herself between him and Kyle. Lucas and Artie were oblivious to the other three as they talked and laughed together. Kyle was starting to feel like he wouldn't be missed here. He was falling further behind the group as they took off laughing.
He pulled his phone out and texted Jared. He wondered what he was up to. Maybe he'd head over to see him. At least there he wouldn't be ignored. Maybe they could play some video games or fool around a bit. He wasn't sure which sounded more appealing.
Eventually they ended up at the arcade. Leora led Miles to skeeball and Artie pulled Lucas to the claw machine. Kyle hung back near Lucas and Artie. Lucas had briefly scolded him about getting in between them. He was trying so hard to get those two together.
Kyle didn't understand why he was trying so hard. It was plain to see that they were pretty good together. It would happen when it happened. There was no need to rush them. Miles was an awkward duck. He needed to be sure of things before he made a move.
Miles needed to be sure of how he felt before he made a move.
"You ok over here?" Artie asked Kyle from his thoughts. "You're being awfully quiet."
"I'm feeling like a fifth wheel here," Kyle said, turning to Artie.
"Sorry about Lucas, he's been trying to get those two together since last fall. He's going a bit overboard," Artie said.
"I know, but like it will happen when it happens," Kyle said, waving a hand. "Miles has to analyze everything and be sure of how he feels before he makes a move." He paused as realized that Miles really needed to be sure of how he felt before he made a move.
He looked over to Miles and Leora as Leora scored big on her game. She turned to Miles and cheered. She stepped in and kissed him on the lips. Miles jerked back in surprise, his cheeks red.
A knot formed in his stomach as Miles leaned in and kissed her again. He couldn't take his eyes away from the pair. Something deep inside made him upset about this. He didn't understand why he was so upset. He, like Lucas, had been trying to get them together.
"What?" Artie asked, confused. He turned to see what Kyle was looking at. "Oh, about time."
"Yeah, I gotta go," Kyle said quickly, "can you give them a ride home?"
"Yeah, but where are you going?" Artie asked.
"I just gotta go," Kyle said. He bolted from the arcade before Artie could question him further. He needed to get as far away from Miles as he could right now. He didn't understand this feeling. He didn't like it one bit.
—Happy Mistakes—
Jared sighed as he walked into his house. He hadn't heard back from Kyle. He had gotten a couple texts from the blonde earlier asking where he was, but he had been busy.
He and Roldy had accidentally left Noah behind at In-N-Out earlier. They had been spotted at the restaurant and they booked it out to their car. He had swore Noah was with them. By the time they realized he wasn't and they headed back Noah was gone. That meant only one thing; Noah had called Matt.
Jared had agreed to help Roldy try and kiss ass. They showed up at Matt and Penelope's apartment with flowers and a bunch of snickers for Noah. Matt was annoyed with them for forgetting Noah and refused to even let them in at first. Eventually Matt caved for some of the candy. And Roldy apologized to Noah, who couldn't stay mad at him. It all worked out in the end.
Now Jared was exhausted. He wanted nothing one than to crawl into bed and pass out for twenty hours. He was so glad Kendall gave them tomorrow off.
He entered his room. He glanced to his adjoining bathroom and saw the light on. He paused as he remembered shutting all the lights off before he left.
The bathroom door opened and a sleepy Kyle exited the bathroom with nothing but a towel sling low on his hips.
"Oh, you're home," Kyle said smiling at him.
"I didn't realize you were here, you just about gave me a heart attack," Jared admitted walking up to the blonde. He pecked him on the lips. "Sorry for not getting back to you earlier I was helping Roldy kiss ass."
"It's ok, I found ways to entertain myself," Kyle said with a smirk.
"Aw, does that mean you don't need me anymore," Jared teased.
"I will always need you," Kyle said, looping his arms around Jared's neck.
"For more than just sex?" Jared asked.
"For way more than just sex. I also need someone I can beat at video games easily," Kyle teased as he kissed Jared on the nose. Jared frowned at that. Kyle laughed as he leaned in and sealed their lips together.
"You know I won't stand for this blasphemy," Jared said, "I only stuck at side fighters and racing games."
"Sorry old man," Kyle apologized.
"Old man?" Jared grabbed Kyle by the hips. He pulled him close.
"Compared to me, you're ancient," Kyle replied. He leaned in and kissed him once more.
"By Hollywood standards yeah," Jared agreed breathlessly.
"Bed?" Kyle asked as he steered Jared back towards the bed, as he worked on opening his jeans.
"What's gotten into you?" Jared chuckled as he stumbled backwards.
"I need a reason to want you naked now?" Kyle asked as he brought his lips down to Jared's neck.
"No, but it's just that we haven't really been too ...intimate lately," Jared admitted.
Kyle took a step back and looked up at him. He gave him a sheepish smile.
"I'm sorry I just stressed about this tour and graduation coming up. I've had a lot on my mind," Kyle replied, "but I'm here now." He said.
"Yes, and you're already naked," Jared joked as he tugged at the towel Kyle was still wearing.
Kyle grinned and pushed Jared down to the bed. He quickly started to wrestle with his jeans as Jared slid his shirt off. Jared chuckled as Kyle struggled with his jeans.
"Why must you wear the tightest pants you can find?" Kyle asked annoyed.
"Because they make my ass look good," Jared replied cockily.
"Yes, but your ass looks even better without them," Kyle retorted as he finally managed to get them off. "You should just be naked, like all the time." He joked.
"Yeah, somehow I don't think everyone else would appreciate that as much as you do," Jared laughed.
"Sure they would, you're sexy," Kyle said as his eyes roamed over Jared'a exposed body.
"If you say so," Jared replied, his cheeks tinting red at the praise.
"Oh please you'd start a sex riot in the streets," Kyle said as he leaned forward and connected their lips once more.

Kendall carefully laid his sleeping toddler in her bed. She squirmed a moment before getting comfortable. Kendall let out the breath he had been holding. He smiled at her and covered her with her blanket. She was too precious and he didn't deserve a daughter as sweet as her.
He made his way back down to the living room. James sitting on the couch snuggled in a blanket already. He had a movie on as well. He met Kendall's gaze with a grin. He opened the blanket for the blonde. Kendall joined him.
"Tonight was nice," Kendall said as James settled against him.
James hummed his agreement. Kendall wrapped his arm around James and turned his attention to the TV. It was some old action movie they had watched a dozen times. Kendall couldn't keep his focus.
James had his attention. He always had the blonde attention. He would never tire of James. Even after all these years he was still his anchor. James could still take his breath away with a simple kiss. He could capture Kendall's attention in a crowded room.
"Stop," James said squirming.
Kendall's hand froze. He hadn't realized it was moving up and down James' side. He apologized and kissed the side of James' head. He didn't miss the smile that slid across James' face either.
"Sorry Jamie, just bored I guess," Kendall said softly.
"Wanna watch something else?" James asked looking up at the blonde.
"Nah, I'm good," Kendall assured him with a smile.
James settled back into his spot. Boredom took over once more. His hand soon found its way into James's shirt. He started to gently run his hand over James's abs causing the other man to shiver.
"Ken," James said, slightly annoyed.
"Love you," Kendall said smiling devilishly at him. James just sighed and turned his attention back to the movie.
Kendall continued his minstarations. He wondered how far he could push it. His hand wandered down to James's waistband and back up over his stomach. James didn't stop him this time. He decided to test the waters a bit. His hand traveled higher and his lips descended on James's exposed neck. James let out a gasp, but still made no move to stop the blonde. He placed a small open mouth kissed along his neck as he tweaked a nipple with his fingers. James gasped and sighed in pleasure. He let his head fall aside giving Kendall more access, which he took advantage of.
Kendall's hand started to travel lower. He made quick work of James' fly. James gasped as he grabbed his half hard member. Kendall started to stroke him as he sucked on his neck. He loved the sounds James was making. The moans and whines coming from his husband turning him on immensely. He trailed kisses up James's neck to his ear he nippled at that spot that he knew drove James crazy.
"Kendall," James whined as he wiggled his hips.
"What do you want Jamie," Kendall asked huskily.
"More," James panted.
Kendall grinned as he quickened the pace of his hand. James turned his head and brought their lips together. James pulled back panting. Kendall could tell he was close just by the sounds he was making. Kendall gave a gentle squeeze and a few more tugs. James gasped as his back arched slightly as he hit his high. Kendall withdrew his hand as James gasped and panted. He slumped against the blonde. Kendall used the blanket to wipe his hand as he grinned at James.
"Bedroom?" James asked. Kendal grinned and jumped up pulling James with him, being sure to grab the blanket as well.

Miles walked Leora up to her door. Artie had dropped them off after Kyle had abandoned them. Artie had told them he felt a bit left out and probably went to bug Jared.
Tonight had kind of turned into a double date with Lucas and Artie. It was fun. Miles thought about the kiss he and Leora had shared at the arcade. It had really been a spur of the moment. He had not expected Leora to do that. What surprised him even more was that he kissed her again. What scared him was that it didn't ignite the same fire that he got when he kissed Kyle. It had felt nice and pleasant, but there was no spark there. Miles blamed Kyle for that. He couldn't just leave well enough alone.
"So tonight was fun," Leora said smiling at him.
He looked up at her with a smile. "Yeah, I can't believe Kyle ditched us though."
"I can, him and Jared are practically attached at the hip. If he's not with you he's with Jared," Leora said.
"I guess," Miles said looking down at the ground. "So, un good night then?" He glanced up at her awkwardly.
"Miles," Leora said, taking a step closer.
Suddenly he was nervous now. Did she want another kiss? How could he tell her that he didn't feel anything from the last kiss? How could he tell her that he had feelings for her brother?
Leora leaned in and kissed him on the cheek. She smiled as she took a step back.
"Good night Miles," Leora said. She turned and walked inside.
Miles stood there a moment longer. He was in over his head. This was not going to end well, that much he knew.
He turned and started walking home. He fished his phone from his pocket. He quickly searched his contacts. He hit call and pressed the phone to his ear.
"Hello?"
"Are you busy?" Miles asked, not hiding the desperation he was feeling. Everything was falling apart. There was only one person who could help him right now.
