Velvet's twisted smile grew as she lifted her axe into the air, the once platinum metal stained with blood red scarlet. The maniacal gleam and wide maniacal grin was enough to send shivers down Val's spine.

She prepared to slice him once more, she paused when she heard multiple footsteps rushing in from behind. She cocked her head to the side, her gaze shifting to the sight of Angel, Vox and Alastor rushing onto the scene, Alastor and Angel's weapons being drawn.

"We heard screaming!" Vox shouted,"Are you alright Velvet!? Are you hurt!?" Vox's concern immediately turned into bemusement when he caught sight of what was happening. When they had lost track of Velvet and heard a scream, Vox feared for the worst.

Needless to say, this wasn't exactly what Vox was imagined he'd walk in on. In front of them stood his girlfriend with a bloodied axe in hand, several blood splotches on her dress and and she was standing over his asshole ex boyfriend, who he just so happened to notice was missing two of his lower arms, both of which were scattered on the ground, severed completely from his body.

"Uh...Well, it appears that Velvet wasn't the one who needed saving. Looks like we got worried for nothing," Alastor replied matter of factly,"And it also seems like we've run into an old face, how unfortunate. I was hoping we'd steer clear of Lucifer's men, but it appears that someone must've got the hint something was going on down here."

"You better kill him now," Angel demanded sternly,"That bastard is too dangerous to stay alive…Off him just to be on the safe side."

"Mhm!" Velvet nodded slowly, readying herself, aiming for the head this time. She was about to slice Val with her axe, however before she could, Val suddenly pulled a gun out his coat pocket and fired a holy bullet in Velvet's direction, knocking the shorter demon to the ground, eyes wide as she laid on the floor, a bullet hole planted right in the center of her chest.

Vox, Alastor and Angel didn't move, standing there in shock as they saw Velvet's lifeless body on the floor, ivory eyes dull and pale.

Val took this opportunity to regain his footing, still adjusting to the lack of his two other arms before blowing the smoke off of his weapon,"Hmph. How pathetic, all it took was one shot and she's down for good. What a pity, I was hoping she would've joined me, guess it's not meant to be, oh well, she was barely useful anyway…"

Vox snarled,"What the FUCK, Val!? You just fucking shot her and you don't even give a shit!?What type of monster are you!?"

"What? She out-lived her usefulness," Val replied dismissively,"She betrayed me and was rewarded how a traitor deserves. But don't worry, Voxy. You and the rest of your band of misfits will be joining her soon. But first, I gotta have fun with you three before I end your asses for good…"

Alastor brandished his staff fiercely,"Ha! I'd like to see you try."

"Yeah!" Angel shouted, trying to remain confident in the face of his abuser,"We still got the numbers, Val! You're by yourself! It's three on one, you're outmatched!"

"But not for long," Val then used his smoke manipulation powers to his advantage, creating puppets of smoke,"Come on boys, introduce yourselves to the fodder why don't ya? Be sure to not rough em up too badly, I still wanna have fun with them later~"

"Shit!" Vox hissed,"There's like ten of them and three of us!"

"They're still just embodiments of smoke!" Alastor huffed, whacking one of them with his staff,"Come on, just keep attacking!"

Angel and Vox nodded, Vox managed to summon some cords to defend himself while Angel fired his guns. This strategy seemed to work, at least until they noticed more and more just kept coming. No matter how many smoke apparitions they put down, more came up in its place!"

"Dammit!" Vox shouted,"Every time we knock one out, more show up and fill in the gap! It's an endless cycle, we'll never win at this rate!"

They tried to fight back against the army, but soon, they were overrun and found themselves on the losing end, Vox and Angel ended up becoming knocked out in the ensuing chaos, crashing onto the floor in a crumpled heap.

Alastor managed to fight off the hoard longer, trying to keep his distance from the smoke as much as he could(though given he was fighting gas, it was hard to not breathe some of it in). He slowly felt his sinuses becoming foggy as the smoke around him became purple in color, coughing severely at this, the overlord already on his knees,"Dammit...What now?"

His vision was hazy, however he could make out a figure before him, features becoming clearer by the second.

At first, he thought it was himself, but as he focused closer, he noticed the ponytail and sweater. His eyes widened, now backing away,"W-What? Vol? Is that really you? W-What are you doing here?"

"Of course it is," He replied flatly, appearing to resist the urge to roll his eyes,"And as for your other question, I believe I could be asking you the same thing…"

Alastor narrowed his eyes,"I...no we all came to rescue you…."

There was a mocking laugh heard, one that made Alastor shiver momentarily in his spot,"Ha! Now that's a good one. Me needing to be rescued? How pathetic. You must be really pathetic to come all the way here for a fruitless venture…"

"W-What? What are you talking about, Vol? We just wanted to save you…"

"Save me? Now that's rich. You came all the way here to save one person, you and your pathetic little resistance against an entire army of people? That's just pathetic. How could a being like myself be made up of such foolish people? It's actually offensive how I could be a fusion of you two in the first place with how you behave."

Alastor flinched, his mind was racing, trying to find a justification for this reasoning,"We're not foolish for wanting to protect someone we care about! That's ridiculous!"

"Aw, how touching," He replied cruelly, a small but twisted smile growing on his face,"You're such a delusional fool, Alastor. Did you really think that I'd be happy to see you after you left me for dead for over a week? How do you only now just decide to care about my well-being? Did you think I'd just be welcoming you with open arms and a smile when I saw you? Because if so, you are sadly mistaken…"

"Vol, we didn't mean to wait, we had no idea where you were and-"

"Excuses excuses," He hissed,"What you say doesn't matter. You may as well have left me to die at that point and the fact you're trying to defend yourself is just insulting…"

"Vol, please-"

"Please what? Please listen to your countless excuses for your actions, oh goodie, that's just what I want to hear, more meaningless drivel as a way to weasel your way out of this point, it'd be better for you not to come here. Would've been preferable to die than have to listen to these stupid excuses over and over again. Especially now that I have to see you, it's actually rather pathetic honestly. You, an all powerful overlord, can barely stand. You and Vox make me look like jokes being associated with you…"

And then, the unthinkable happened, he started to giggle. It was soft at first, but it became more deranged as time passed. The worst part was Alastor could still see Vol's face, he almost appeared innocent by his expression, but the twisted glee in him resembled that of a cold-blooded monster.

Alastor covered his ears, his hazy eyes darting around the room, which appeared to be endless. All he could see was smoke and all he could hear was Vol's deranged laughter echoing across the walls like an utter mad-man.

'Someone make it stop..' He pleaded internally, begging the noises to come to a halt, but they never did.

"Aw, what's wrong, Alastor? You look so scared! Why is that? I thought you cared about me? Why are you SCARED of someone you care about?" He said this while grabbing his chin,"Go on then, tell me why you fear me…."

Alastor hissed,"I fear no one!"

"Alastor, I think we both know that's a fucking lie," He replied coldly,"I can see it in your eyes. You are scared of me. Why is that? I thought you cared about me. Was that a lie as well?"

"No its not…" Alastor then chuckled, much to Vol's confusion, the fusion's eyebrow raising.

"Why are you laughing? What's so funny? Do you find being insulted comical?"

"Hardly,"Alastor replied,"I just know better. I may not have all my senses but I know you're not him. You're not the real Volastor. You're just a figment of my imagination, a hallucination at that. The real Volastor would never speak this way…"

There was a moment of pause before he cackled madly,"Oh Alastor, you must really think you're clever, huh? You've got some nerve to accuse me of being a hallucination. If you truly believe I'm not real, then I suppose I'll have to prove otherwise…"

Suddenly he punched him in the fast, knocking Alastor the ground with a loud thud. The Radio Demon gasped, the wind knocked out of him. He sure packed a punch, it was the equivalent of getting run over by a freight-train. Alastor wheezed, blood coming out of his mouth, his vision fading in and out. He could barely move, the drugs had messed with his mind to the point he could hardly see normally.

Volastor snickered, standing above him with a twisted grin, his tone mockingly cruel,"Aw...What's wrong, Alastor? I thought you were certain I was a part of your imagination? Did that sucker-punch change your mind?"

"You're still not him," Alastor retorted,a weak smile on his face,"I refuse to believe it. Vol would never be so cruel and callous towards me. You're just a fake, a phony, a pseudo imitation who will never live up to the real deal. Volastor is everything you aren't, he's kind, he's caring and capable of mercy, something you clearly aren't capable of, right Valentino?"

The fusion blanked before reluctantly chuckling, the smoke fading away and revealing Valentino with a semi-amused grin,"Bravo, Alastor, I'm actually impressed. You saw through me, even while heavily drugged. How quaint…"

"I don't need to be sober to see through a cretin like you. The nerve to use Vol's face and voice to guilt trip me. Are you really that pathetic you have to resort to stealing another man's face just to get what you want? What the hell was that even for anyway? You gained nothing from putting on that sick charade."

"I know, but I just wanted to savor my victory a little more,"Val admitted,"Seeing you look so scared and helpless was like music to my ears. It feels so empowering to have one of Hell's strongest overlords cowering on the ground like a sick dog. You look so weak and pathetic, it's honestly sad. To think this is how the all-powerful Radio Demon falls is just pitiful. But then again, I suppose you had this coming…"

"Gngh!" Alastor hissed when he felt Valentino's hand wrap around his neck, his clawed hands cloning around his neck, leaving visible bruises. "L-Let go of me…"

"Aw, but I ain't finished with you, babe," Val mocked,"I need to get one last good look of you before I have my fun with you…"

"You'll do no such thing!" He growled, static entering his voice to seem threatening despite being unable to properly defend himself."Unhand me this instant, Valentino!"

"Nah, not until I'm done with you…" Val replied, narrowing his eyes when he saw Alastor struggling on the ground, gripping his arms to try and move them away to no avail. His smirk widened,"Aw, how cute, you're still struggling? Gotta say, I do love it when others struggle helplessly. It really brings life out in your eyes..."

Alastor's eyes were filled with terror, the shorter overlord shouting in a panic,"Get off of me you depraved bastard!"

The Radio Demon gasped, horror overtaking him he felt Val's other hand travel down, dangerously close to his chest. He attempted to struggle but was unable to fight back anymore, his breath heaving when Val tore off his coat, his hand threading lower to his waist and then his pants.

Val chuckled when he heard Alastor whimpering, tightening his grip on his neck,"Come on, Alastor, cry out for me. I wanna hear you scream, don't be shy. The terror in your eyes is so beautiful, it reminds me of how Volastor looked. You two look so similar in expression, the utter fright in his eyes was so sexy, the screams, the pleas, everything about it was just perfect…" Val then began choking Alastor to the point he couldn't speak, the shorter overlord gagging on his own blood,"Come on babe, show me some tears…"

Alastor couldn't breathe, he could hardly see anything, his vision was threatening to black out entirely. His head was spinning, all he could hear was Val's urging him to scream out. It was too much to bear, he was going to pass out and get assaulted at this rate…

And thus, he braced himself for the worst, cringing as Val's hands touched his body, despising every second of it, closing his eyes as he waited for the inevitable assault to take place…

Suddenly, Alastor's eyes snapped open when he heard a sickening slice, Valentino's eyes widening, coughing up a mouth-full of black/red blood. Alastor then noticed something implanted in Valentino's chest before it was forcibly removed with great force and another person shoved Valentino off of Alastor.

Before him stood Vox, blood covered in his torn suit, a visible crack on his left eye. In his hands was a bloodied angelic spear, dark red stained the once pure white tip of the weapon.

"Vox...you...saved me? Why?"

The TV Demon didn't respond, his eyes still glazed over, as if he wasn't thinking in that moment. Alastor debated whether Vox was conscious or not, at least until he slowly knelt down and offered him a clawed palm, as if to silently say,'Take my hand'.

Alastor reluctantly took his rival's hand, slowly regaining his footing. Both men were covered in bruises and visible injuries, Alastor having a visible limp as he stood up. He then directed his gaze at Val's corpse and turned back to Vox,"I take that wasn't planned, was it?"

Vox shook his head,"It wasn't. I...I...didn't think it'd come down to this."

"How did you do that? I thought you were drugged and knocked out. I saw you and Angel were knocked out by Val's smoke army…"

"I think Angel was both to be honest, the drugs were wearing him down. However, I'm immune to smell based drugs due to the nature of my Demon Form, this screen prevents me from smelling and as a result, Val's drugs don't work on me. I was just knocked unconscious. When I did come around, I heard what Val said. I know I'm normally the patient one, but I felt so consumed with anger that I stabbed him with a holy weapon. I don't know what came over me, but I just lost it and killed him…"

Vox looked down at the bloodied weapon, still in a state of shock,"I...didn't think I'd have to use this. I was hoping it didn't come down to the spear, but I guess Vaggie was right about me having to use it. I just didn't think it'd be on my ex...To think it had to end this way is kind of sad honestly. I didn't want to do it but...I had no choice..."

"Don't worry Vox, you made the right decision. You ended Val's reign of terror and avenged not only yourself, but all the others who suffered under him."

"I didn't do it for myself," Vox stated,"I did it for him. I heard what Val said about Vol, how you guys looked the same when you expressed fear. I was hoping he hadn't gotten the chance to do that, yet it appears we've failed. The least I could do was end Val to make sure he couldn't pull that shit again…"

"It's too bad that we couldn't have done more, but there's still hope. Vol is still alive, we just have to save him before Lucifer does anything."

"We should re-group first…" Vox admitted,"We can't do this solo."

Alastor and Vox headed towards Angel Dust, who seemed to be slowly coming around,"Ugh, what the fuck hit me? I feel like shit…"

"Val's goons did, but don't worry, Vox...dealt with the issue."

"Dealt with the issue? How'd you do that-Oh…." Angel caught sight of Val's body and then looked back at Vox's angelic spear,"Damn, Vox. You did what I always wanted to do, to kill that bastard once and for all. Too bad Velvet couldn't see this…"

"Dammit," Vox hissed, remembering what happened not too long ago,"Velvet. I still can't believe he fucking shot her, if Val wasn't already I'd fucking strangle his ass for killing her…"

"That is such a shame, she was really such a sweet-heart." Alastor mumbled lowly,"Looks like we'll have to go on without her. It'll be hard to tell Vol that when we rescue him…He loved her and he'll be devastated when he hears this."

"Wait a second," Angel said,"Where'd her body go? I swore Val shot her right there and her body just vanished. It's no longer on the ground."

Angel pointed to where Velvet's body used to be, there wasn't even a patch of blood on the ground where she had laid, just nothing but rock and dirt...

"Who knows," Vox replied lowly,"The body probably got moved during the fight. Val shot her with a holy bullet so she's gone for good. Val may have died, but he took another person with him. And to think we were just starting to be a good couple together.."

"Regardless, we need to move forward," Alastor sent somberly,"Velvet would want us to move forward. We all knew the risks coming here. We all knew that not all of us would come back from it. Let's not make her death in vain and find Vol, just like she would've wanted…"

And thus, the three men moved forward, weapons brandished and determined burning in their eyes. They couldn't fail now, they had come too far to die here. Not here, not now…

'We're coming for you, Vol…' Vox thought,'I'm sorry we couldn't have saved you sooner, but we're going to save even if it fucking kills us…'
