AN: I decided to put Mordred and Arturia together, seeing their relation.
Ch 35 Day 40: The King and the Traitor
"Merlin, she's late again." Ron sighs, waiting in the hallway next to Jane for Hermione.
Jane looks at her friend, agreeing with him however she was the one who encourages Hermione to find any information about Ritsuka's Servants. "Yeah, but it does get us closer to what the Servants really are." She explains to the red-haired boy.
The sound of footsteps running up the stairs echoes in the hall next to them, "Guys! I think I found something!" Hermione rushed over to her friends.
"You did!?" Ron questions surprised that she was able to find something in that huge library. "How did you find it in that huge mess?" he asked knowing the librarian of the school never cleans up the mess.
Hermione opens the book she has on her, turning the pages to find the info. "Well it's easy, Ritsuka's Servants the Casters, reorganized the entire library. I went over to the forbidden section where there's a book title called the Kaleidoscope, a reference guide." She told them about Shakespeare, Anderson, and Murasaki reorganize the books. "Ah-ha! Found it!"
Jane looks over Hermione's shoulder, wanting to read it herself. "It's a bit vague, all it says that Servants are the world's counter measurements. What does it mean, 'counter measurements'?" Jane sighs seeing it's no help at all.
"I'm not sure but it's something." Hermione flips over a page. "It does mention that a master is needed, in this case, Ritsuka." She explains.
Ron crosses his arms finding this to be strange. "Who wrote the book? It sounds sketchy that you happen to find it out of the blue like that." He expresses his suspicion about the book.
The young witch turns over the book to the spine for the name. "Kischur Zelretch Schweinorg," she said his name. "I have seen many names before but this one…"
"Definitely suspicious," Jane commented, adding to Hermione's words.
"OI!" The trio turns around seeing a silver knight in red garbs walk up to them. "What are you three doing out here huh? You have master's class now, right?" the Knight demanded.
Ron could only nod, his tone of voice frightens the young wizard. "Um…yeah?" he gains enough courage to speak out.
"Then get your asses to class!" Mordred shouted, pointing down the hall.
The Golden Trio rushes down the hall, Mordred was following behind them seeing it's her and her father's legend lesson today. "Tch, I always hated teenagers." She walks off.
Lily found her husband on his break; he was sitting at the teacher's table for his lunch. "James!" Lily calls out to him.
James looks up at his wife, placing down his spoon. "Lily, what is it?" He asked, curious as to why she's calling him.
"James, you know that Ritsuka's lore class is going on right now," Lily informed him.
"Yes, I'm aware. I have a copy of the schedule in my office dear." James chuckles, crossing arms. "What are you getting at Lil's?" he asked her unsure where she's going.
The red-haired woman sighs, shaking her head at James's limited thinking span. "James I swear…" she sighs before telling him. "I was leading you that if you want to observe Ritsuka's class today? I have seen one of his lectures about Sir Lancelot-"
"Sir Lancelot, one of the Twelve Knights of Round," James interjected. "He's teaching the Knights of King Arthur?" he asked curiously.
Lily nodded, "It was an interesting topic, there are some parts that weren't a part of the legend we know we've heard from when we're children." She said it with enthusiasm about her 'son's' class.
James thought for a moment, he'd never really gotten a chance to speak with Ritsuka for a while. Except for the weekly meets with Dumbledore, but outside from that not so much. "You know what, sure. I'm down for a new learning experience." He shrugs, getting up from his chair.
The couple travels up the stairwell where they heard a familiar voice of a portrait. "Now is two left turns and right or two right turns and a left?" a silver Knight walks around the paintings, bumping into many people.
"What is he up to now?" James looks up seeing Sir Cadogan doing his usual antics. "Sir Cadogan what are you doing?" James asked the Knight of the Roundtable.
Cadogan looks below him and saw the inky black hair of James. The Knight spun around gleefully at the Dueling Professor. "Ah, Sir Potter! Good morrow, I was on my way to listen to my King's tale in your son's lecture." The crazed Knight happily said.
"You're aware you're going the wrong way, right?" James mentions, seeing he's going to the North Wing of the school. "Ritsuka's class is in the east wing." He points to the East Wing of the school.
The Knight looks at the back of him and jumps. "Right you are James!" He smiles, pointing to the hall. "Onward my good fellow, to the Lore Class! Ho!" he pretended he was on a horse and gallops away.
"Same old Sir Cadogan, he's always in a cheery mood." Lily smiles that his personality didn't change from when she was in school.
James chuckles, walking to the East wing with Lily in his arms. "You're always right, my dear. Come on, Ritsuka's class is about to begin." He smiles softly at her.
The couple arrived at the hall where Ritsuka's class was, they both entered the classroom where Ritsuka was speaking with an armored Knight and a beautiful blonde woman in blue garments and armor. There's a man there too, he resembles the young woman next to the Knight.
"Wow, I still can't believe they're his familiars," James commented, seeing the three.
Lily looks around the classroom, everyone was in awe of the two similar-looking people. She must admit, they all look gorgeous. The Witch looks over to the side seeing Sir Cadogan in a portrait, gaping at the sight of the two Knights. "Sir Cadogan are you alright?"
"I-I-I-It's…" All the Knight did was just gaped; his eyes were teary from the sight of them.
"May I help you Lily, James?" Lily jumps hearing both her and her husband's names from the Magus. She looks near the front seeing Ritsuka and the Knights looking at them.
James coughs, wanting to be the one who's explaining things. "R-Ritsuka, Lily has told me about your lesson of Sir Lancelot. She convinced me to hear the next one for myself."
"That is if you don't mind, of course, you did say I could bring James next-"
Ritsuka nodded, "Hinako, can you show them where to sit?" He asked the True Ancestor.
Hinako nodded, motioning her hands to two empty seats. "This way, you two will sit here." She said to the couple.
Lily inclines her head to her, appreciating the kindness. "Thank you, Hinako."
"Yeah, thanks," James added.
Hinako waved her hand, needing no thanks from the two Wizards. "Don't mention it," she said the two.
James looks around seeing her daughter sitting behind him. "Well Janey, it seems we're in the same class together." he jokes at the current situation.
Jane groans after hearing another of her father's dad jokes. Many of the students' giggles hearing the joke from him, "(I can't believe this…)" she said to herself quietly.
Hermione patted her back, feeling the same pain as her when her own father jokes like that. "I understand how you feel Jane." She chuckles slightly.
"Fathers are fathers, nothing to do about that." Ron shrugs.
Arthur looks around the room, seeing the excited faces of his master's student. He looks at his master as he types a few things on his laptop and handed some paperwork to Hinako. "Are you alright, Saber?" Arturia looks at her counterpart with a bit of nervousness plastered on his face.
"Mmm? Oh, I'm fine Saber." Arthur responded with a smile. "I'm just a bit anxious, master is talking about our tale."
Arturia nodded, understanding how he feels. "I am too, but if it's for the education of our former subjects then I shall put that feeling aside." The OG Saber responds, "You did share my ideals once, Saber." she looks at him.
Arthur chuckles, remembering he used to have a mindset just like his counterpart. "Indeed I did have at one point." They both chuckled at how much they are alike in more ways than one.
Mordred rolled her eyes before it landed on the portrait with a familiar-looking Knight. "(Shit, it's him!)" The rebellious Knight exclaims, she nudged her male father seeing he was the closest to her. "(Why is it got to be that blabbering fool!?)"
"M-Saber, what is it?" Arthur asked his son's counterpart seeing her head nudge to his right.
"Turn your eyes to the right," Mordred said, pointing with her head hiding from his gaze.
Arturia was confused about her son's wording. She followed what she said and her eyes widen at the sight. "O-Oh no…" She dreads.
The male Saber looks where Arturia was looking and shares the same reaction as her. "(Sir Cadogan's portrait. I forgot about him being here.)" He whispers to them.
"(So, what should we do?)" Mordred asked, knowing what the Knight will do. "(If he is Sir Cadogan then he'll spill the beans about us and not the encrypted version the Casters wrote!)" she expressed her worries that everything will go south if the portrait blabbers his mouth.
"(We don't do anything, we just remain quiet, and nothing will happen.)" Arturia said her quick plan.
Arthur agrees, if they don't respond then nothing will happen. "(Just play it cool, Saber.)"
Mordred nodded seeing it's the best plan they got for now. "(Fine, but I'm still keeping my eye on him.)" She replied, keeping her eyes on the painting.
"Ahem," Ritsuka coughs, ready to start the lesson. "Alright everyone, today we have some guest observer." He motions to the Potters sitting in front of him. some clap their hands while some (Slytherin) didn't.
"If you all turn to chapter ten in your books, we'll begin our lesson," Ritsuka asked hearing the books turning behind him. he turns on the screen with an image of a blonde man standing on the side with another man in red armor. (Fate/stay night - Kishi Ou no Hokori )
Lily took two textbooks from the shelf beside them and hand one to her husband. "Here James,"
James took the book, turning the page to what his son just said. "K-King Arthur Pendragon and Mordred!?" He looks up, surprised to hear the famous legend again.
Ritsuka looks over to his 'father' hearing the title of the chapter. "Yes James, I'm going to lecture the legend of King Arthur and Sir Mordred." He looks over to the rest of his students. "Alright, who here can tell me some facts about Arthur Pendragon or Mordred?" many hands were raised, he points over to Luna seeing her goes first.
"King Arthur is most famous for defeating Vortigern with the Sword Excalibur," Luna said confidently.
Hermione went next, "Excalibur was also known as the Sword in the Stone-" she paused hearing some laughter from Mordred.
"Saber," Ritsuka warns the Knight of Treachery to stop, and she did. He looks at Hermione, correcting her mistake. "Actually the Sword in the Stone is called-"
"Caliburn, Excalibur was given to my King by Vivian," Cadogan spoke out not in his cheery personality.
Everyone looks at the Knight before at Ritsuka for confirmation. "Is that cooky Knight, right?" Daphne asked, not believing in one word that the painting is saying.
"He is correct, Excalibur is a different sword than Caliburn." Ritsuka enforced the Knight's info. "Arthur Pendragon has many assortments of weaponry in his arsenal, the daggers, Carnwennan, and the sacred lance the Rhyongomyniad. The Lance that shines to the ends of the world."
Many whispers arose about the new information, James leans over to his wife. "( You're right Lils, he is informative. I didn't even know the King has a Lance.)" He whispers to her.
Lily giggles, "(Well, he's different from our Harry. That makes him even more unique.)" she smiles.
Hermione raised her hands. "Professor, what is the Rhyongomyniad? And why you gave it a title like that?" she asked never heard of the sacred lance before.
"Yeah, you made that Lance sounds important," Ron added to the question.
Ritsuka looks at them with widening eyes. 'They don't know of the Rhyongomyniad?' he looks over to the Sabers who shrugs as if they don't know either. He turns back to the class, "I will get to that topic soon, for now, the legend of King Arthur and Mordred."
Everyone calmed their chatter, letting their Professor teach.
"As you all know Britain was once ruled by royalty under the King, Uther Pendragon." An image of a red grabbed knight in silver armor appeared on the screen. "Merlin and youthful and powerful mage serve the King, during this time Britain's state is troubling with their enemies. The Saxons, overseas foreigners demanded land and influenced the kingdom's noble families. One said noble is Vortigern the Usurper, a powerful and dangerous person who screams against his own nation." He informs the class.
"Did Merlin deal with those foreigners and Saxons with his light magic?" A proud Gryffindor asks the Magus.
"Yeah, I can picture it now." Another smirks, "Merlin versus Vortigern, an epic battle that happened!"
Many wonders too, hearing all the exciting feat that the Great Merlin has done for King Arthur. "Actually what you heard from your legend of Merlin is exaggerated by devoted followers." They all gasps at the words he just said, it's like he was insulting their messiah.
"Merlin was indeed a court mage in Uther's time, he has powerful Clairvoyance that foresees events unfolds." Everyone listens in as they are taking information about the Great Wizard's hidden skills. "With his Clairvoyance, he saw many possibilities, he foresaw two dragons, a White Dragon and a Red Dragon fighting one another."
An image of a White Dragon in a brawl against the Red Dragon appeared on the screen. "Wait, dragons? Really, this is about Arthur Pendragon; not dragons!" Daphne exclaims.
"The two Dragons are representations, the essence of the two forces," Arthur spoke out. "The White Dragon was imbued by Vortigern and the Red is imbued by Arthur Pendragon." He looks at the class.
"So the dragons are like spirits?" Jane asked the King, even if she doesn't know it.
Arturia nodded, "You are correct, Jane. They are essentially spirits of power." She looks over to her master letting him continue.
James chuckles learning something new about the king. "W-Wow, speak of interesting." He smirks.
"If I may," Ritsuka said out loud, raising his book. "With this prophecy, Uther and Merlin consulted one another to prevent the nation's doom. With one idea in mind, to create an ideal heir, Uther had Merlin imbued the essence of the Red Dragon with one compatible candidate." An image of a blonde woman in blue draping appeared.
Hermione jumps from her seat. "Lady Igraine!"
"Arthur Pendragon's mother?" Padma asked,
Ritsuka chuckles, "Yes, Igraine the wife of Gorlois the Duke of Cornwall. He was one of Uther's most trusted advisors and supporters." A portrait of Gorlois appeared on the screen. "With this movement, a conflict will arise between the two causing problems within the Kingdom."
"To circumvent this, Merlin has disguises Uther as Gorlois; impregnating Igraine with his child." Ritsuka lectures.
James scoffs already hearing that part. "Well, that's entirely low."
"JAMES!" Lily hissed but admits it is low.
"It is, but it's what it is at the moment." Ritsuka pulls up an image of a small blonde child in blue. "After a few months, the child was born given the name Arthur. To protect his heir, Uther entrusted Merlin to take the child and raise him to become the ideal king." He continues.
Everyone saw the illustration of a child Arthur thinking he's adorable. "Awe what a cute-looking baby." The girls said in unison.
Mordred smirks, nudging her fathers at the comment. "Well, how do you like being called cute eh f-Sabers?" She chuckles seeing their blushed face.
"S-Saber…"
"Please. Don't." Arturia sighs, hiding her face.
Hermione kept a close eye on the three, watching their strange interaction. The words World's Countermeasures keep replaying in her mind. 'What does it mean…' she ponders.
An image of a smoked cover battlefield and a Black Knight standing over a red Knight appeared. Everyone saw the image and dreads of what it meant. "During the battle, Uther Pendragon was defeated by the hands of the Usurper left the Kingdom and plunges the nation into the chaos known as the Dark Ages."
A student stood up from her seat, "D-didn't Merlin do something about this?" she asked.
"Why isn't he restoring order at this time of need!?" Another one asked from Ravenclaw.
Hinko steps in, "Merlin was tasked to watch over Arthur; however he did ensure the citizens that there's still hope. That Uther Pendragon has a hidden heir that is the Once and Future King of Britain." She looks over to her friend pulling an image of young Arthur and a grey-haired boy a bit older than he appeared.
"Is that-"
"At around the age of five, Arthur was placed in the care of Sir Ector and his son Sir Kay. I assume everybody knows of Sir Kay?" He looks around the class.
"Yes, Sir Kay is Arthur Pendragon's brother," Gyole spoke out.
Ritsuka nodded, "Arthur at this age was the squire of Sir Kay, both had a strong sibling relationship even if the young King doesn't know they're not related yet." he informed. "Nonetheless, Kay still treats him as a younger brother. Over time Arthur learns of the truth and didn't think nothing much of it, viewing him as the same troublesome older brother."
An illustration of Arthur in bed with Kay sitting next to him. "What is this?" Ron asked wondering like everyone else on what the illustration is.
"One time when Arthur fell ill, Kay was the only one around who can tend to him," Ritsuka instructed, showing the human side of the two of his strongest Servants with their brother. "Kay tends to his needs, saying 'It will be troublesome for me if you were to die now.' A genuine brotherly bond between the two." He smiles.
"Here I thought King Arthur is a perfect being, and now…"
"He's just like us. A regular person." Lavender continued liking this side of the legend.
Ritsuka nodded before continuing. "Kay fulfills every request made by him, he even made a lion carving after Arthur said, 'I want to dream of a lion running on the plains.'." He showed a wooden carven of a lion on the screen.
"That's a wholesome thing that Kay did." Hermione smiles, seeing a whole new perspective of the King.
"When Kay showed the carven to his brother, he said it looks like a cross between a dog and a cat." Ritsuka heard slight chuckling from the Arthurs standing on the side. "Regardless, he accepted it with humility and dreams of lions. At one point, she raised a lion cub for a month."
Everyone now saw the King as a regular human with the same life they all once experience than the brilliant king they heard from stories.
"During her childhood, Merlin watches over the young king. Instructing her on the politics and special lessons regarding the nation within her dreams." An image of Merlin and Arthur sitting together, teaching the young boy many things.
"Wait, dreams?" James questions didn't hear any legend about Merlin visiting dreams.
"Did Merlin have the ability to travel through dreams?" Neville asked, sounded interested in that Lore.
Hinako nodded, "Records stated the Merlin did have the ability, he used them to instruct Arthur as a mentor to him." She added, "Arthur took in the lessons, not thinking twice on what's the purpose about them," The Assassin continued.
An image of Caliburn in the stone appeared on screen with Arthur and Merlin behind the sword. "That's the Sword in the Stone!" Jane pointed out,
"Yeah, are we up to the moment?"
Ritsuka nodded, "At the age of sixteen, Arthur was sent into town to deliver Kay's Lance for a jousting tournament to determine who is the King of Britain." He continued. "He soon discovers all the Kingdom's Knights are gathered around a stone that Merlin placed, the sword Caliburn; the Sword of Selection will determine who's the heir to the throne."
"Many have failed in pulling the sword, even Sir Kay. Thus they all discarded Merlin's prophecy and decided a jousting tournament shall decide who's the next King."
Everyone scoffs that the people discard Merlin's prophecy. "Bad move to discard that prophecy," Draco commented,
"yeah, prophecies are prophecies for a reason," Crabbe added to his leader's words.
"The sword can be only pulled out by the heir of Pendragon," Cadogan spoke out, sitting on the painted chair invested in hearing his king's tale.
"Correct. Arthur was left alone with the sword; instincts came within him to pull the sword." Ritsuka continues. "He walks up to the sword, gripping the hilt about to pull it out. Merlin appeared behind her, warning her that if he were to pull the sword, he'll stop aging. That he'll no longer be human, detested by many and experiencing a horrendous death,"
They all blink, never hearing this part of the legend. "At this moment, Arthur rethinks to himself. The possibilities of being a normal boy in a village or being the savior and eventually coming to despair though we all know what happens." Ritsuka smirks.
"He pulls out the sword!" Everyone answered in unison.
Arthur and Arturia laugh, hearing the voice of children excited to know what happens next. "yes he did, from that moment onward Arthur has now become king of Britain and untied many under his leadership with the cost that stays with him." Everyone smiles at the notion that Arthur has become King, even if they know the tale already.
"So when does Morgana play in this story?" Paravati asked her Professor.
Ritsuka smiles, pulling an image of a pale woman with pale blonde hair in blue and black garments and crown. "This here is Morgan Le Fey of my world, there are many depictions of her. From those descriptions, Sir Kay describes her as having three women inside her. One as an innocent fairy, another as a fierce warrior, and the other as a terrifying witch. A true Dark Lady in Wizard standard." Ritsuka tails off, remembering the Britain Lostbelt in his mind.
"So many Phantasmal…a lot of death…a place of true darkness…" Ritsuka rambles on with his experience causing some to be concerned.
"Shit, MASTER SNAP OUT OF IT!" Mordred called out seeing his handshakes a bit.
Hinako rushes over to her friend, tapping his arm. "(Ritsuka, snap out of it. it's done, you defeated them and that's over.)" The True Ancestor whispers, trying to calm himself.
Ritsuka snaps out of it, realizing what he was doing. He turns to everyone behind him seeing the expression of confusion. "S-Sorry, continuing…"
Jane saw the sudden reaction when he mentions Morgana. His words were like he met her himself. "(Did you see that? Ritsuka was like into detail about the Dark Witch.)" Hermione whispers.
"(Yeah, I did. Things are getting weirder than before.)" Jane commented watching her 'brother' recollect himself. She draws her eyes to her parents seeing a bit of concern for him after his small breakdown.
"I-In any case, Morgana has never received the special treatment as her brother. Thus grows up envying Arthur, plotting his demise within the shadows." Ritsuka calms down a bit as he continues the lecture. "Arthur has gathered many Knights, these Knights are-"
"Sir Gawain, Lancelot, Bedivere, Tristan, Agravain, Gareth, Gaheris, Palamedes, Galahad, Percival, Mordred, and Kay." Cadogan interrupted, remembering his time with them.
Ron looks at the painting wondering something for a while. "Sir Cadogan, why aren't you on the list?" he asked the Knight.
"Yeah, why aren't you?"
The Knight smiles, "That's because young one is that these are the most powerful Knights. With some special seals from each of them." he informed the students.
"Seals?"
"In any case, these Knights follow the King. Agravain, Gawain, Gareth, and Gaheris were all siblings, born from Morgana." Ritsuka showed images of the Knights of Round. "Agravain was the spy for Morgana, he was tasked to take down his Uncle however he saw that he is the perfect candidate to be King and thus follows him."
"Bedivere was the steward of the Roundtable, admiring Arthur and wishes to see his true smile; When he feels inferior from the other Knights Arthur comforts him by telling his own inferiority and clarifies each of his Knights has special roles within the Roundtable other than the sword." Ritsuka continues, showing the human side of the King of Knights.
"Going so far to share his inferiority to a Knight, he is more human than we thought," Ron commented, getting more invested.
Ritsuka then pulls out an image of a silver Lance from a mural, the coloration and shape give a sense of respect to the room. "With the Knights, Arthur is ready to face Vortigern. Merlin wishes to gift Arthur a weapon to defeat Vortigern has taken the King to a secret location where they retrieve the Rhyongomyniad. A shadow of its true form, a pillar that separates the reverse side and this side of the world."
"We learn that from the Age of Gods, right?" Neville asked, vaguely remembering the topic from the first week.
Ritsuka looks back at him, "I believe so, now during this time the Knights face off Vortigern's dragon form leading his arm and tribes against his forces. With the battle lasting for hours, Gawain and Arthur manage to pin down the Beast and using the Rhyongomyniad destroying the Dragon in the process." An image of a tower of light plummets down at a black dragon appeared.
"So that's how Vortigern was defeated!" James commented, understanding how it was done.
Everyone now understands it was the lance and not Excalibur that destroyed the Usurper. "Despite Vortigern's demised, Camelot was shifting into chaos and criticism about the King's rule. With this Merlin realized he made a mistake when raising him, he became a king who will do anything for his people even at his expense." Arthur and Arturia close their eyes as they listen to their flaws.
Many gasps that Merlin, the one they admire made a mistake. Some silent outrage by his use of words of how he describes the Greatest Wizard of all. "At this time, Morgana sets a trap that causes the sword Caliburn to break."
Everyone knew that this was in the legend, and that's where the confusion started with the two swords. "So this is when Arthur gets Excalibur right?" Goyle interjected.
"It got to be, we haven't heard a mention of Excalibur yet," Tracey commented.
"You are correct, during her travels Arthur has encountered Vivian. The Lady of the Lake, a fairy that gifted him the Sword of Promised Victory Excalibur and its Scabbard; The Ever Distant Utopia Avalon." Ritsuka pulled up a woman in a lake handing the sword to the King.
They were in awe of the illustration. Arthur and Arturia clench their hands. "Vivian gifted also its sister sword Excalibur Galatine The Sword of Revolving Victory which drives the power of the sun." Ritsuka continues.
"It was given to Sir Gawain correct?" Lavender piqued.
"Yes, but you heard that from your assignment," Ritsuka stated seeing the nods of his students. "Now you all remember Guinevere and Arthur's marriage, correct?" he saw many nodding their heads.
"Through further research Arthur was infertile unable to produce an heir," Ritsuka lectures. "Thus Merlin cast a spell that will make him produce…an heir." He coughs swearing he could hear both Merlin's obnoxious laughter.
Arturia blushed in embarrassment, Mordred remained silent trying to get past this. "Merlin can do that!?" Hermione asked, surprised that a spell-like that exist.
"Well, it's Merlin, of course, a spell-like that exists!" A Ravenclaw answered that question. Everyone burst into chatter about Merlin's magic, admiration for the dick wizard which gave a lot of cringe from the Chaldeans, knowing all too well of how he is.
Ritsuka coughs, gaining their attention. "S-So, Merlin being a womanizer in the past was seduced by Morgana Le Fey-"
"A WWWWWHHHHAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!?" Everyone exclaims hearing that the Great Merlin was a scumbag towards women left them scared.
"Are you sure this part is real? Merlin can't be"
Arthur chuckles, he could hear Cadogan chuckling as well. "You don't know the half of it, when discovering this revealment our researchers flipped out." A technically lie that he told the children.
"Yes, a rather sensitive topic for the researchers." Arturia coughs, still embarrassed to hear that part.
Mordred laughs, "That bastard will always try something when women are around-GAH!" Arthur hit's his 'son's head for talking about that. Cadogan snaps out of his daze, a voice that is familiar to him echoes in his mind, he tries looking at who he thinks he was but couldn't get a good view.
"(Enough or else you'll be the one who reveals everything!)" Arthur hissed at her.
"Tch, fine…" Mordred rolled her eyes, instantly regretting saying that.
"Anyways, Merlin was indeed a womanizer back then." Ritsuka plaster a fake smile hiding his nervousness from their glaring eyes. "S-So, Morgana Le Fey was able to get information from Merlin and stole some of Arthur's sperm giving birth to Sir Mordred, an identical boy in the King's image." An image of a horned Knight, (A complete off depiction) appeared battling King Arthur.
"Mordred a enhanced to age rapidly was sent to Camelot, infiltrating the Roundtable. Through his merit, he earns a seat in the Roundtable and soon admires the King of Knights." Ritsuka continues with the lecture.
Hermione raised her hand in the air. "S-Son, Mordred is…the child of Arthur and…his sister Morgana?" She asked still putting it together.
Ritsuka smirks, seeing the disgusted looks on most Muggle-born even to his 'mother'. "Yes, he is. I know most of you see it incense but due to Morgana's magic; Mordred came out without any deficiency a tool for her devious plans." He explains.
"No less from a Dark Lady," Draco smirks as many laugh in Slytherin.
The Magus smiles before continuing, "Morgana saw a complication with Mordred and thus confronts her and telling him he was Arthur's son. With the news, Mordred reveals himself to Arthur demanding to be recognized as his child." Mordred remain silent in the background as did the two Sabers, listening to the family drama unfolds,
"Arthur considers the prospect-"
"He can't! He's the child of Morgana if he does then-"
Ritsuka looks at Jane, empathizing with her concern like she was a part of the conversation. "Arthur didn't, for he believes that Mordred is far too reckless and impulsive to rule." He said to the class. "From this moment, every admiration for Arthur has been shattered, feeling rejected The Knight of Treachery forms a rebellion. He stole a sword from his father's armory Clarent Radiant and Brilliant Royal Sword, and leads them against the King, which you all learned already." He stated,
"During the battle, both Arthur and Mordred engaged each other, given each one a mortal wound." An image of Mordred being impaled by Rhyongomyniad and Arthur being impaled by Clarent.
Everyone knew this would happen to their King, Cadogan felt remorse at the loss of his King, looking down at the two and Mordred. His eyes widen at the sight of the Treacherous Knight and left immediately.
"At her final request, Sir Bedivere was to bring back Excalibur to Vivian where he tries to return the sword only to fail two times only successful returned it on the third. Thus bringing the end of Arthur Pendragon." Ritsuka closes the book receiving another round of applause from his students. (End Insert Song)
James stood up clapping his hands the hardest after the interesting lecture from his 'son'. "WELL DONE RITSUKA! WELL DONE!" He smiles, proud of his son.
Everyone cheered for another enjoyable lore lesson. Arthur smiles at the application that his master is given by the people who wronged him back home. "Master sure is getting much appreciation from the Wizards, Saber." Arturia smiles softly.
"Sure is!" Mordred smirks, "To be honest I kinda like hearing the story in his own voice," She commented,
Arthur nodded, happy to see their master enjoying himself. "Yeah, he is enjoying himself."
Dumbledore's office, November 7th, 1995, 5:40 PM
Dumbledore sighs reading at another ridiculous notion from Rita Skeeter, her publishing has caused many problems within the community. Even riling up Ginny in going after Ritsuka, this is unlike Rita yet at the same time it's very much her to create drama. "What am I going to Fawkes? Ritsuka is getting unwanted attention from the community, if this goes on then-"
"Headmaster! I have urgent news!" Sir Cadogan came inside, panicking from whatever he was packing.
The old Wizard looks at the Knight of Round in a panic. "Sir Cadogan, what's the matter-"
"Headmaster, it's Mordred! He has returned and is in the school!" Cadogan exclaims his panic state.
"WHAT!?"
