Chapter Thirty-Four
When The Blood Boils Hot...
A/N: WARNING-The character known as Sage Amesawa uses a lot of profanity and colorful language as part of his "colorful" personality. Be prepared if you are sensitive to that. Please note it is not because I condone such manner of speech, and also the character does not mean to use it as a way to be harmful, it is just his personality.
"...Summoning Jutsu..." The woman whispered in an ominous tone.
"What did she say!?" asked Hana.
Summoning Jutsu!?
Saseme thought to herself.
Summoning techniques were far beyond beginner Genin Training level. The fact that Saseme herself even knew one was a rare instance. Apart from her, she only knew of one other Genin who could summon...bit that was a simple Weapons summoning, the same as Saseme, only the Uchiha girl's was bigger. However...she got the feeling it wasn't a weapon this woman was summoning...
"Naruto, Look out!" Saseme cried.
Suddenly a force of wild winds swirled all around them, blowing Naruto back from his trejectory.
"Naruto!" Sakura cried.
Not long after...there the enemy stood...
Upon the head of yet another giant snake.
It slammed forward...but he managed to move away in time...not far enough from the after math of flying debris though.
Naruto panted in the shadow of a hungry snake as the woman controlling it let out a little chuckle.
"What a tasty little meal you will make for him~" she smirked, "Careful though...he likes to play with his food."
"Naruto, here it comes again!" Saseme called out before suddenly falling heavily between the team mates that held her steady.
"Hey hey!"said Sage, "Stay with us, you hear me you crazy bitch!?"
"I swear, you've used that term more times during this whole ordeal than I can even count-" Hana huffed, "Not that I disagree with you but I'm just saying-"
"THAT'S BECAUSE YOU'RE BOTH INSANE!" Sage huffed back in frustration.
Another slam of the massive beast's tail sent the poor blonde soul flying, right into the path heading toward its mouth.
"Enough playing." she said, "Finish him off."
"NARUTO!" Sasuke and Sakura cried, their heart's pulsating. Saseme was about to leap in as well...the situation didn't even seem to occur to her. It was as though she was paying no mind at all to what was really going on, but her body was trying to move anyway.
"You crazy bitch!" Sage huffed as he struggled to keep the girl still,
"If you go in the state you're in now you won't be any better off than HE is!" Sage stated. But it didn't seem to phase her. In fact it was as though she was paying him no mind at all...which he found rather strange. Something else was making her pulsate from within. A Sudden...chill in the air. Her eyes were down. Her Sharingan had been activated all this time and it was finally taking a toll on her...
"EAT THIS!" the blonde boy cried, motioning his body up right to slam a kick down upon the skull of the slithery creature, startling even the grass Ninja that rode it.
"But how...?" the woman wondered to herself, "It's impossible!"
Naruto let out a roaring cry as he sent a barrage of punches into the same spot.
"Look at him..." Sakura said softly, "...He's gone nuts."
"That's an understatement..." said Hana, "That guy is a complete lunatic!"
"Our girl Saseme may be a crazy bitch..." Sage said softly, "...But at least she's not a complete psychopath...! Er...Right?" But there was still no response from her.
What's going on with her?
He wondered.
"Where did he get that kind of power all of a sudden!?" Sakura wondered.
But the boy just kept coming. Until his flames were doused by a fire of her own.
"That fire in his eyes...there's no mistaking it!" The woman muttered
"Was that really...Naruto?" Sasuke blinked.
Oooh...things have gotten VERY interesting~
She smirked.
"Now then..." she chuckled, "Let's see how well YOU do...Sasuke~" She grinned, "...Unless you would rather I...test the merit of your little twin here instead?"
"Don't you TOUCH her!" the boy barked.
"Oh?" the woman chuckled, "Then...are you going to stop me?"
He let out a soft gasp, frozen in place with his heart beat accelerating as the beast drew nearer.
"SASUKE!" Saseme's first response finally sounded along side Sakura's as they cried for him together. Despite being held back by her team mates, the girl struggled for her freedom, risking life and limb just for the HOPE of making it to her brother in time who seemed to be frozen in place. She slid before him, arms spread wide, to act as his shield.
"Saseme NO!" Sage cried out.
The male twin let out a scream...just as he thought that his other half was about to be devoured before his eyes, an orange individual stood between her and the beast before her, holding it back with a kunai stab through its head...
"Sa...se...me..." Sasuke muttered his sister's name as his eyes met hers. They were darkened, and dazed over. Her body moved. It was trembling...and she remained standing before him, arms spread out wide...the act of a human shield...
But her consciousness was gone. She had to have passed out sometime during the whole bout between Naruto and the massive snake...
Most likely from over use of the eyes she still wasn't used to fully controling just yet.
"That...crazy...bitch." Sage said softly.
"Seriously AGAIN!?" Hana huffed.
"No but I mean-You see it, don't you!?" he asked.
"Huh? See what?" she blinked as she tried to see what he was seeing.
"It's Saseme..." he said softly, "She's...not even conscious."
"What!?" Hana gasped softly while the boy brushed back his blue fringe through his bergundy hair and shook his head.
"...She wasn't even conscious when she called her brother's name." he stated, "Her body just moved...on pure impulse." he blinked, "All because she has it so deeply programmed within her...to always protect her brother...no matter what!" he stated, "...No matter how bad their blood..." he blinked, "There is no stronger connection in the world that that between twins..."
"Oh wow...Saseme..." Hana whispered softly.
Naruto held the beast back. Panting heavily while the trembling Uchiha girl still remained standing in this position...on instinct alone.
"Hey, kid..." Naruto called out softly, "You're not hurt...are you?" he asked as he slowly rose his head up, "You scaredy cat?"
"Ah!" Sasuke gasped as his sister's unconscious body fell to her knees, about to fall over sideways until Naruto called to her team mates.
"Come get her, quick!" he said.
"On it!" said Sage as he and Hana leapt down quickly to catch the girl before she fell too far and move away to another tree for protection in hopes to let her rest against something while they looked back at the scene before them.
"...Standing there frozen...like a frightened rabbit." naruto huffed, "No Way! You're not the Sasuke I know!"
Slowly a long...slimy tongue slithered its way around Naruto's body, lifting him into the air.
"Ew! Disgusting! PUT ME DOWN!" the boy struggled.
"I see..." chuckled the woman, "So when your anger is aroused...some of the Nine Tails's chakra is released~" she snickered, "What an interesting childhood you must have had..."
"What?" Hana blinked.
Nine Tails? What is she talking about?
She wondered.
An ominous purple glow took to the womans hands as she slid the boy's clothes up, revealing an unusual marking on his stomach. Naruto fought hard to struggle against her.
"Five Pronged Seal!" she hissed, forcibly shoving her hand into him while he let out a cry in pain.
"No, Naruto!" Sage called out.
"What happened!?" asked Hana.
"I'm not sure..." said Sage, "But whatever it was I know it wasn't good!"
Sakura gasped.
"Sasuke! Hurry!" Sakura cried, "DO something!" The blonde fell dizzy...his eyes reverted back to a faded blue and his body fell limp in unconsciousness as she tossed him away like nothing after removing the Heaven Scroll that the boy had kept from her.
"Hang on!" Sakura called out, throwing a Kunai to catch his fall before it could land.
"Sasuke! What's WRONG with you!?" asked Sakura.
Still the Uchiha boy stood motionless. Frozen. Everyone was just staring him down at this point. First his little sister, on multiple counts, stood to fight and defend him with her bitterness toward him still in tact...
Even Unconscious, her body moved to defend him.
And once again he did nothing for her.
Now Naruto, who faught his hardestm also for his sake, was incapacitated.
Sasuke?
Tears began to form in the pinkette's green eyes as the boy she loved still stood frozen...
"Okay...say what you like about Naruto!" she stated, "That he's a pest...that he gets in the way...that he's just a stupid kid..." she clenched her fists, "But at least he's DOING something!" she huffed, "AT LEAST HE'S NO COWARD!"
Sasuke twitched.
Flashes of his sister's actions played in his mind.
Followed by flashes of Naruto...
But one memory froze. A looming shadow of the presnce of the man he swore to destroy.
But how could he?
In this state...he'd have no chance.
"Foolish little brother...you can't kill me...Your hate's not strong enough...YOU'RE not strong enough...for your life is too precious to you...So run. Run away...and live with that shame!"
"NO!" Sasuke huffed, eyes snapping open, revealing a pair of two Tomoi SHaringan Eyes. He wasn't running anymore.
No Longer would he show fear.
"...That's more like it." Sakura sighed in relief.
Hmmm...so I see...so it's happened at last.
The woman blinked.
His Uchiha blood has finally come to a boil...much hotter than the little sister before him...
She smirked.
...I think I'll play with him a little~
