Time: A Few Hours Later
Percy winced as Aphrodite sponged his back with warm water.
They were back safe on the island of Ogygia, and it was night. Currently, all the girls were sitting around the dining table, which seemed to have become the default meeting place for all the inhabitants on the island. This evening, however, a new immortal had joined them, in the form of the female Apollo.
However, this time, the mood was slightly serious, as Apollo still had bloodshot eyes, and was sobbing silently. Artemis sat beside her sister, patting her back as she tried to comfort and soothe the younger twin. Most of them were silent, broken only by Percy's occasional grunts of pain and slight rebukes at his state.
"Who told you to engage so many enemies in open combat?" Reyna hissed at him, clearly dissatisfied.
"What was I to do? Just run away?!" Percy looked at her incredulously. "Don't be daft. The minor gods respected power, and only power, and I showed them who was the one in charge. You can't talk to them like civil immortals. They understand the language, and treatment dealt out to untamable wild beasts, so pain is the only language they should be spoken to, in."
"I'm sure it's not that bad." Everyone gaped at the only Roman in the room.
"What?" Reyna eyed the others looking at her weirdly. "I'm sure he's just exaggerating."
"Reyna," Artemis began, slowly, trying to ensure that she could follow her every word, "Romans are honourable, the Greeks are not so. What Percy said is right. Greek minor gods are filthy beasts, and should be put down as such." She hugged her twin tighter.
She gulped. "Yeah, look what they did to my hands!" Percy raised his hands from where they were dipped in a bowl of ice and water.
"Ah, come on, Percy. You wouldn't have been zapped if you had been sensible. Reyna is right, there is no need for unnecessary violence. And besides, your hands will be alright before dinner."
"And what if they aren't? How am I to eat dinner?!" He asked in a panicked tone.
Atalanta snapped at him, "Act your age, Jackson. My dad- sorry, mom- was nearly... you know what, and dinner is the only thing you can think of?!"
He stared at the Hunter blankly. "I'm trying to take her mind off- OUCH!"
Percy immediately shied away from the love goddess as she dabbed at the already partially healed gash just above his waist. "Keep still, Percy!" She admonished, "I know what I'm doing. I think I can just clean the wounds alright!"
"Yeah, yeah, of course, you can." Percy nodded hastily, wincing as she continued her administrations, a bit more forceful this time.
"Alright, onto more serious matters. Apollo, tell me, what really happened?"
She looked up at him with wide, teary eyes. Percy had to struggle to make out her soft words amidst the horrible stuttering, interspersed with ample sobs and cries and sniffles as she tried to bravely recount her traumatic experience. "It started like any other day. I got up just when Artemis was landing her moon chariot, and I went to the garage to bring out mine. But then, Ares was waiting for me there. He ambushed me, hit me in the head with something, and I blacked out."
She snuggled deeper into Artemis' arms. "I woke up in the throne room, in front of Ares, Hera and Zeus. Zeus told me how I was being punished... for expressing my desire to join your harem, and supported by Hera, he declared that I would be a part of a harem. But not yours, Ares'. I was cursed to be female eternally, and handed to Ares. I tried to resist, but he was just too strong, and carried me off."
"Did he touch you inappropriately?"
Apollo nodded, tears springing to her eyes. "Yeah, he touched me, and was not able to take my virginity."
Percy blanked out for a second. "I thought you were already non-virgin."
Apollo shot him a small smile. "Glad to see that you are so interested in my sex life, Percy."
The Dark god had the decency to blush. "No, I don't actually have any interest in your sex life. It's just, you know, kinda hard to miss your blatant flirting and all the children of Apollo running around. You know, like her." He pointed at Atalanta with his thumb. "But that doesn't answer the question."
She grinned at him weakly. "This new body is as virgin as my little sister here," he pinched Artemis' cheek, "that is, unless, you haven't already... taken it."
Artemis' cheeks were golden as she swatted away Apollo's hand. "And here I was thinking that you needed comfort. Bastard, you are perfectly fine. First of all, I'm older, and second," she blushed even harder at that, "I haven't done anything with him."
"Whaaa?" She looked scandalized, "How can you not sleep with such a perfect male specimen? Even I did not look so... delicious when I was male- okay, maybe I did, but just a little bit. Aphrodite, what have you been teaching her?!"
Percy knew that the love goddess was also blushing, as she muttered something intangible. He narrowed his eyes at the sun goddess, knowing that she was diverting the topic on purpose... he shrugged it off, being the goddess of truth, Apollo was physically incapable of lying. Perhaps she was just traumatized by the entire experience. After all, it was not daily that you suddenly wake up and find yourself being of the other gender.
Maybe Magnus' 'gender fluid' girlfriend, Alex Fierro.
Magnus... he had informed neither him, nor his mother, of his current conditions. He made a mental side note to do that whenever he was free of all this... drama.
"I could not hear you, sorry." Apollo sat up straighter, looking at Aphrodite eagerly for information on their sex lives.
Aphrodite cleared her throat uncomfortably. "What I said was that most of us haven't slept with him yet."
Apollo immediately picked up on her wording. "Who has?" Her excitement was clearly written on her face.
"Hestia." There was a short, shocked silence from the goddess as she tried to comprehend Thalia's message, spoken in abject jealousy.
"And?" He prompted.
"Only her." The daughter of Zeus added, making him look at the love goddess.
"You didn't sleep with Percy for the ten months you were on the island?!" Apollo all but screeched, making her blush as she nodded.
"I'm disappointed in you, I really am." She shook her head, before perking back up, giving Hestia a thumbs up. "And I'm proud of you, aunt! I never knew you had it in you to be the first to claim him! How many times did you sleep with him?"
Hestia's cheeks burned gold as she held up two fingers. "Twice?!" Everyone screeched at her, before turning to Percy. "Jackson, elaborate!"
Faced with their wrath, Percy could not but blurt out the truth. "I swear I didn't! The first time was when she gave me a blowjob, and it was at least three months ago! The arrangement hadn't even come into effect right then!"
"What arrangement?" Apollo looked at them curiously, and Athena explained to her sister about it.
"Ooh, that's nice!" She agreed, "But now that I am here, nobody needs to worry! I'll make sure that everyone gets all the sex they want! We'll have orgies, gangbangs, kinky parties, everything!" She declared proudly.
After Aphrodite had returned to her seat, a d all the medical supplies had been removed, Percy did not bother putting his shirt back on. He was just... giving the sad sun goddess the show of her life.
But inside, his mind was racing at the speed of light, as he continued to think of things. The laughter of the girls was blocked out as his eyes wandered to the outside world, marvelling at the contrast the present world held to the stormy morning.
The night was wet, yet calm and soothing. The previous choppy winds had given way to a small, pleasant breeze that cooled down the entire tropical island, swaying the trees and gently rustling their bright green leaves. The sea was calm, small waves lapping at the sandy shores of Ogygia. The moon was hidden behind a thick curtain of dark clouds that plunged the world in darkness, but it was an inviting, calm darkness that lulled one to sleep. The smell of fresh, wet earth wafted through, calming everyone down and soothing nerves. The constant pitter-patter of small raindrops against the glass formed a beautiful, pleasant thrum, a natural sound that was music to everyone's ears. Glistening, clear puddles formed on the wet earth and grass of the lawn, the leaves bending under the weight of the water to gently drip onto the ground. The constant sound of water droplets in the massive swimming pool added to the pleasant orchestra of nature, leading to a rise in the water levels of the pool.
Percy's dark, sea-green eyes hungrily devoured all the beautiful sights and sounds around him, before his eyes wandered from the dark, beautiful world to the brightly lit, lively room, and its beautiful inhabitants.
Apollo laughed, a bright sound that melted all his worries away. Nobody could say that she had been crying only a few minutes ago, the golden tint and the puffy nose having returned to her usual, bright and beautiful, countenance.
Her blonde hair had been cleaned, and now, it shined as brightly as the sun on a good day, slightly brighter than Atalanta's. Her perfectly tanned chocolate skin was smooth, and glistened in the light. Her bright, azure eyes shined like clean sapphires, a unique pair of gemstones amongst several unique pairs of gemstones. Her soft pink lips, shining with lip gloss, curled up in a bright smile, revealing her perfect, blindingly white teeth.
Percy assumed Aphrodite and Hestia had cleaned her up when he was away fighting for her honour.
She wore a simple white tank top that revealed a sexy belly button piercing on her perfectly toned stomach. Her shirt rode up a bit on her massive tits, enough to rival Aphrodite. Despite the fact that she had been a male mere hours ago, Percy could not help but boldly ogle her body as she laughed with the others. Large, erect nipples poked through the thin fabric of the shirt, revealing her lack of a bra. It was clear that all the other girls around her were uncomfortable with that, but let it slide, nonetheless, seeing as it was Apollo's first day as a girl. Well, apart from Calypso, Drew and Aphrodite, the former because she did not know about modern bras, the latter because they did not care about it.
Wide, curvy hips led to tanned, creamy, luscious thighs hidden behind a pair of black shorts. Her feet were bare, as she sat cross-legged by the table, waiting for dinner to be served. Her long, slender legs seemed to go on for miles, revealing all the creamy, soft curves and soft skin on the insides of her thighs.
Percy gulped. How to break the news to her?
"Umm... Apollo."
"Huh?" She looked up at him, making the entire table fall silent. She shot him a smile, which made his heart beat faster in anticipation.
"First, I need you to swear on the Styx never to reveal what I'm going to tell you right now." He barely managed to suppress a smile as the others giggled at what was possibly an inside joke, Apollo thought.
"Alright, I, Apollo, God-" he winced, "Goddess of the sun, the seventh Olympian, hereby swear on the river Styx never to reveal, in any form, willingly or unwillingly, what Perseus Jackson is going to tell me in the next five minutes."
"They are not all the harem members." He gestured to the twenty girls by his side.
"What?" She looked at him blankly, before shaking her head, making her blonde locks bounce, "They are everyone that the gods gave you, Percy."
"No, no, Apollo. Listen, and don't interrupt. We... had a few problems at the beginning. A few... people were uncooperative, and you know, the usual things that ate bound to happen in a harem. Shit happened, and we ended up accepting four more members."
She stared at him blankly, her mind not being able to comprehend the information. Artemis squirmed beside her in her seat.
"You can come in now." He called, and the door opened to let in four, drop-dead gorgeous Dark goddesses, who sauntered in, hips swaying, black dresses flowing, their curvy bodies on full display.
"That's Eris, Nemesis... Styx, and I don't know the other one." Apollo admitted, frowning.
Nyx sat down beside Apollo, smiling at the innocent sun goddess. "I, my dear, am the night."
She continued frowning for a few moments, before her eyes widened as she jumped back. "Nyx!"
"Calm down, Apollo. I trust them as much as I trust all the others. No need to be careful around them, they are... mine." Percy smirked at his claim, which was not disputed by anyone. "They won't hurt anyone in this room."
Artemis grabbed her sister's hand, and dragged her back into her seat between herself and Nyx. The Primordial giggled, batting her eyelashes innocently at the sun goddess.
After a few moments of shock, and opening and closing her mouth like a fish, Apollo finally regained her ability to speak. "Wha-what... but... how?!"
Percy chuckled at his reaction. "Nobody knows about the four of them being in my harem yet, Apollo. You are the first one, so congratulations. I hope you'll keep it a secret... well, you have to keep it a secret, or both Styx and I will be coming for you."
"Percy!" Apollo screeched, backing away from the table. "All of them are evil!"
Immediately, the temperature in the room plummeted, despite the presence of the sun goddess. The hostility radiating from all the girls, save the four Dark goddesses, was palpable, and could be cut with a knife. A bead of sweat rolled down Apollo's forehead.
"What my dear younger sister wants to say, is that," Artemis glared at her, "she is an idiot, so please forgive her."
"I really don't see what the problem is, here." Styx tolled her eyes, bored at the regular occurrence with newcomers.
"You are not evil! None of us, are!" Hestia hissed at her dismissal.
"Apollo, we are Dark. We have... Dark domains, that does not make us evil. We cannot help it if our domain is pain, nightmares, and the like. Everyone cannot be a... literal beacon of light like you." Percy eyed her up and down critically, making her want to shrink into herself as she realized she had basically called Percy evil, too.
"Umm... can we talk about other topics? I'm cool." Apollo glanced at the nonchalant Dark goddesses, before she tentatively took her seat back. After all, they had been on the island for far longer than her.
"Hmm... about what?"
"Maybe about how it is weird to call my... mom Apollo when she is female?" Atalanta offered helpfully.
"You know what..." Percy scratched his stubble as if he was thinking hard, "That's a great idea. Change her name."
"Umm... shouldn't I be getting a say in this?" Apollo asked, regretting she ever brought the topic up.
"No." Percy waved her off, before clapping his hands together, "Alright, suggestions for a female Apollo's name. Let's start."
"This isn't a game! This is my name we are talking about." She screeched, but was ignored.
"How about Apollina?" Ross offered, and as usual, Violet followed, "Or Apolline?"
Neo nodded her head, "Abbeline sounds similar, too."
"Apollonia!" Sydney cheered, and with that, the entire room burst into pandemonium.
Percy just stared from one to the other, not being able to comprehend what they were all shouting at him. Apollo had shrunk back into her seat, as the others surged around her. The words blurred tightened to form a confusing, chaotic hodgepodge of names, all beginning with 'A', and trailing off to all sorts of sounds, some of which, Percy had never heard, or could not even distinguish as human.
"Silence!" And like a switch had been flicked, everyone stopped shouting, and looked at Percy, who just shrugged. "It wasn't me."
Then, in a synchronized manner, all turned to look at Artemis, all heads turning as one, to see the golden faced moon goddess panting heavily as she looked at them with slightly angry, swirling silver eyes.
"She is my twin, so I get to name her." Artemis staked her claim, making Athena raise a finger in protest. "Umm... it doesn't actually work like that."
"Yeah, what it works like, is that I get to name myself," Apollo grumbled under her breath.
Artemis just stared at Athena pointedly, before turning to Percy, who was busy laughing at everybody. He clutched his stomach in pain as he regained control, wiping away a tear, "Let us hear what Artemis has to suggest."
The moon goddess shot him a grateful look, before sitting straighter trying to make herself seem more important. "What I propose, is that we call the female Apollo, Asteria, after our aunt, the Titaness of Stars, and all that. Because technically, the sun is a star..."
She was cut off, "So Asteria it is!" The now christened Asteria declared, pumping her fist, grateful to have gotten a sensible name. She now wanted to put an end to the discussion before the others could even begin to contemplate other names like Abdallah or Ashton or anything like that.
Whoever named a girl, let alone a sexy goddess like her, that?
Honestly, her few hours on the island had been enough for her to realize that every single individual on the island was completely crazy in their own, endearing way.
Asteria continued, her clear, azure eyes, as bright as the sky shining with enthusiasm, and hidden apprehension, for the next topic they were about to discuss.
"Sooo... can I join the harem?"
AN: Girl: Hey, don't you think how crazy it is that we live longer than boys?
Her feminist friend: That's because God Herself has decided that such pigs do not deserve to live longer than us.
Meanwhile, men in every emergency situation: Women and children should be evacuated first. If need be, we will stay and die so that they can escape.
Dying man: Son, take my respirator and give it to her. *points at slightly asthmatic woman*
Soldier: I fight, die, constantly risk my life, and live on the bare minimum so that my wife and children can live comfortably back home.
I'm not saying men are saints. What I'm saying is that feminism is shithousery, and both genders contain both good and bad. So, I hope I shouldn't be seeing any more feminist messages regarding this book.
