CHAPTER 35

Ginny fell hard on the floor, the portkey had taken them to a barely lighten place. She didn't have much time to think where she could be, if she wanted to live, she had to act fast. She saw Theodore getting up from the spot he had fallen on his back, he hadn't been ready for the trip, Ginny had taken him by surprise when she had launched on him in the forest.

"You're going to pay for this one, Ginevra." He threatened her, his eyes red in anger, getting closer to her. Ginny was trying to maintain the distance between them, every step he made forward, she made a backwards one. "Do you know how hard it was to get to Hogwarts?! Do you know how long I've been waiting for my opportunity to get you back?! Months! And you ruined everything! Thomas was supposed to come! He should be here now!"

"He is better off far away from you!" Theodore approached her and strongly slapped her backhanded, making her lips bleed. Then, he grabbed her painfully by the hair and trapped her between him and the wall.

"You're such a slut, Ginevra." He whispered on her ear and started caressing roughly her body with his free hand. His mouth started leaving intense bite marks on Ginny's soft neck skin. She was so disgusted and frighten that she couldn't react.

"S-stop, T-the-Theodore, s-top." She begged with a barely audible sob.

"I've to clean every single stain Potter left on you. I'm not going to stop until every single part of your body is mine again, Ginevra."

"You don't ha-have to. He di-didn't touch me l-like y-you."

"I don't believe you."

"I'm all yours, Theo, only yours." She told him trying to sound convincing. But, Theodore wasn't convinced. Instead, he smiled disgustingly and raised an eyebrow as a sign of defiance.

"Prove it."

"H-how?"

"Be my woman."

Ginny knew what he wanted. Theodore wanted to have sex with her and to not be like it had been the last few years when he forced to do it. He wanted her to show love and passion, to do it because she wanted and not because she was obliged to. And that was something Ginny couldn't give him, not even faking it.

"N-now?" she asked in fear.

"I knew it, you can't do it. You were never only my woman, you were always thinking about Potter." He spat with loathed the last word and hit her hard again on the face, this time making her fall to the ground.

"I-I married you, Theodore."

"Because you didn't have another choice. You were so desperate and tired that you would have married just anybody. You never loved me like you loved him."

"That's not true! We were happy for so many years, and you threw all that away! You ruined everything! You started getting together with that Pansy bitch and those terrible people!" she blamed him while getting u from the floor. Ginny didn't know where that bravery was coming from but she wanted to know why he had suddenly stopped caring about the great life they used to have.

"Is this jealousy, Ginevra? Pansy gave me more than you did, she still does." He said with that repulsive and satisfied smile. Ginny couldn't believe what she was hearing. She had never imagined Theodore being unfaithful to her, and much less with Pansy Parkinson. "She only thinks about me. She had been begging me to leave you for years now. Instead you always only wanted Potter."

"You are wrong. I loved you very much, Theo. Why didn't you ever leave me then?"

"Because I liked having you at my mercy. Besides, you're prettier than Pansy. Every boy was after you at Hogwarts, you're like my trophy. Not only that, I have won you against world's hero Potty Potter. And being the one who raised his daughter is the greatest revenge. I knew some day Potter and Emma would meet. I love knowing that me having been Emma's father is something that will always bother him. Emma used to call the son of a Death Eater, 'Daddy', isn't it awesome? Such a beautiful revenge."

"Are you saying that you never really loved me?" she hadn't expected that. Ginny might not have loved him like she had always loved Harry but, without a doubt, she had loved him, at least the first seven or so years. Maybe it was silly now but it hurt to think that he had never felt a thing for her.

"I can't believe you thought I did, how naïve! I would never love a blood-traitor, and much less a penniless and foolish Weasley. I only married you because it was a great opportunity. You were my perfect revenge against Potter. And you're a pureblood and, I got to admit, quite sexy, I needed to produce an heir for the Nott legacy to continue."

"You son of a bitch! You ruined my life!" she yelled at him in fury. Theodore grabbed her once again by the hair and harshly threw her to the floor. Ginny fell on her arm, feeling it break but she bit her lips to not give him the satisfaction of seeing her cry in pain.

"You ruined it yourself, Ginevra. Everybody told you not to get involved with me. Your family and friends hated me, you should have listened to them." It was true, Theodore was right, all this had been her fault, her stupid pride had clouded her common sense.

"How did you know where to find me?" she asked changing to subject.

"I placed a tracker on you many years ago." It was such a simple and intelligent answer that Ginny was left with nothing to say. "The difficult art was to avoid being caught by the Aurors and entering Hogwarts but, I finally did it with a little of help."

"You sent all that information to Rita Skeeter, right?"

"Anonymously, yes I did. She did a good job with it, Skeeter always does if there are some galleons to get. Zabini told me that the article on the Prophet had done a great job and that the Ministry was about to halt my search. It was a shame when that Loony Lovegood ruined everything by printing another article." He ended in anger and kicked her firmly on the ribs. This time, Ginny, couldn't stop the cry of pain that went out of her mouth.

"W-why did…you… force me… to co-come… here?" she asked in between short painful breaths.

"I gave you two options, you are the one who chose to come."

"What… do you… want?"

"You told the Aurors everything. You are the reason why I'm being pestered by them. And I think it's only fair for you to be the first one to try my new and improved potion." Theodore told her with a ghoulish simile on his lips. His eyes almost black with ambition.

"I thought it was o-only for mug-muggleb-borns." She said fearing what would happen.

"It is. After all, they are the ones who are stealing our magic, and this is the way to get it back. But, I thought, that since you are so interested in the matter, you would like to try it." He explained, his voice dripping with sarcasm.

"Theodore, please don't make me drin…" but Ginny couldn't end her supplication.

A yellow-greenish light went out from the ex-Slytherin's wand and hit her on the chest. A wonderful feeling came over Ginny. Suddenly, every worry and problems she had, had disappear from her mind, leaving a vague happiness she didn't know where it came from. She felt super relaxed, barely conscious that her husband was giving her a little flask. Ginny could hear Theodore's far away voice forcing her to drink the liquid in the flask.

Her lips were on the rim of the flask, ready to swallow the potion when a doubt on her mind took her by surprised.

"I don't want to drink this." she heard herself say far away.

"Drink the potion, Ginevra." Theodore's tone didn't leave space for contradiction, so Ginny poured the fluid down her throat.

Theodore lifted the Imperius Curse and she realised her mistake. Everything came back into focus and Ginny wanted to die, she had drunk the potion that supposedly would make her lose her magic. The liquid was burning the interior of her body. She let out excruciating cry of pain and her vision clouded while listening her husband's evil laugh.

Ginny started having sans and felt like someone had cut her chest. She could vaguely see something yellowish-red soaking her full body. The last thing she registered before passing out was an explosion sound.
