Fading Memories

Chapter 35th

She will hand him the water with her hands shaking slightly. She had been remembering the last time he had been shot to have his memories all screwed up. She needed to make the decision with the fact that life of late has been just too much for her and the family in general.

She was going to make the decision to have everyone think the worst with leaving her husband in his needs to be protected further. Even though Loriele had said that she wasn't going to fight with him after waking up from his surgery.

"Look Jethro I think it's best that I leave you in every way with taking the boys with needing them to get far away from you as possible?" she will say to catch his attention.

"What are you talking about Loreile?" he tried to understand in what she was trying to say to him under a great deal of pain medication.

"I am just Feb up Jethro and I am unable to take anymore further with the crap. I have been fighting just too much with you about the same god damn subject with you. I AM DONE WITH THIS JETHRO!" She cried out by telling him that she was going to be filing for divorce with this being real and not a fake after all.

"Don't play games with me Loriele I can't afford to be laying here knowing that my wife and family was going to leave me to hide and dry?" he commented with the pain in his groin hurting from the stress. He needed to grab the call button to get some help.

"I am going now and don't bother Jethro to look for us once you're able to get out of the hospital?" she had tears with the nurse coming in asking for what the problem was with the patient.

"Pain mostly." he cried out as he watches his wife walk out the door to head home with putting together the plans.

It was the next day after all of the calls had been made. Loreile had asked Madeline and the other D.O.D. agents with the protection detail to have both Shane and Nathan to be going to the Evergreen safe house on the outskirts of Alexandria, Virginia. Loreile wasn't going to take any chances that the Local Cartel and other enemies of Leroy Jethro Gibbs will be coming after him knowing that Alejandro Riveria didn't finish the job.

Loriele didn't tell a word to anyone and including her own sister Elizabeth and husband David. Even her husband didn't find out until a few days later when Elizabeth had come to visit Gibbs in the hospital telling him the news about Loreile having disappeared.

Sitting up in bed with help from his nurses. "What do you mean she had disappeared Elizabeth?" he cried out in complete shock.

"I haven't been able to make contact with her nor the woman working for the D.O.D. as part of the protection detail. What the hell Jethro did you do to my sister?" she exclaimed with excitement when it comes to her sister Loreile.

"She left Elizabeth. She had taken the two boys and including the agent to places I have no idea where? I assume once she is settled that she is planning on filing for divorce. I deserve it completely for not making my wife happy the past few years." he will comment with his emotions on full alert.

"HOW DARE YOU! My sister has been through too much the past few years and it's no wonder that she left you with taking the boys with her. She already had enough on her plate trying to deal with all of your ghosts of the past." Elizabeth needed to say to the man she now hates the most.

"I couldn't help it with pushing her away due to my obsession for when it comes to the Cartel and NCIS. But now it's too late to get them back?"

"Of course it's too late Gibbs with my sister finally being strong enough to leave after all of the pain and suffering she had to endure from you. It's a no wonder you're entire life has been one giant mess and I am not sorry for having what I said to you in the first place." she cried out.

"Elizabeth please get out of here and leave me alone?" he cried out with his anger response.

"Fine. You deserve everything you're going to be getting for when it comes to the Cartel and your bosses at NCIS." She grabbed her things to leave his room to head back home to her husband David. She was so angry and needed to punch out the one man that has hurt her greatly and this included her first husband killed in the accident.

Meanwhile, Gibbs called for the nurse to come back with more pain medication as his stress levels were extremely high at the moment, and didn't know how to calm down.

"Special Agent Gibbs, you will need to calm down or we will be forced to give you something with Doctor Talf's orders." she threatened him with writing down something on the chart sitting on the side of the bed.

"I think it's best that I am given the medication to keep me calm. Because I have no idea how long I can last like this with my wife and family gone?" he cried out with doing such a good job of his acting.

"Very well I will go get it at the nurse's station." she will say with walking out to head for the station and the medicine cabinet or cart.

Leroy Jethro Gibbs laid back down on the bed trying to relax the best he could. It didn't take all that long for her to arrive back and with injecting the syringe into his right arm. "This will make you feel more relaxed Special Agent Gibbs." she had to say.

"Thank you for your concern Nurse," Gibbs said with the medication in his arm beginning to work quickly and he was feeling mellow now and with closing his eyes to sleep like a baby for a few hours at best.
