Chapter 35: Attempted Framework

Caverna Mall under attack! Crowds of people were fleeing throughout the entire mall as slugs were being slung left and right, from Flaringos to Hop Rocks. One of the security slingers attempting to fight back was slugged onto his back by an Armashelt. He tried to get up, but was held at blaster point by…Eli Shane? "Deliver this message to anyone who dares to come! Caverna Mall is under the control of the Shane Gang now! Anyone who has a problem with that gets blasted!" 'Eli' said, laughing maniacally through the mall hallways.

Meanwhile, Millard Milford was watching everything from the security room with Shorty and Goggles. "This can't be the work of the Shane Gang." Goggles said. "What do you think, Millard?" Shorty asked. "I think we need to pay a visit to the real Shane Gang." Millard said.

The Shane Gang were relaxing today in their hideout. Kord and Vance were working on the mechas. Mario was practicing some sharpshooting with Ricochet. Lash and Shimei were also training in the same room, while also trading some flirtish looks with each other. Eliza was feeding Wormy, Rath, the lava bats, Kibble, Nipper and a tank with a couple of cavern sharks from Undertow Cavern. Harley and Watts were playing a video game. Trixie and Dana were posting new videos on the Slugnet. Eli and Burpy watched everything from the couch. "Look at that, Burpy. We so deserved this. After everything we've been through these past few weeks, we needed a day off." Eli said. Burpy chittered in agreement as he relaxed on Eli's shoulders. Just then, the doorbell rang. "Well, so much for that hope." Eli groaned, getting up. He answered the door, revealing Millard, Shorty and Goggles. "Shane Gang, we'd like to report something." Millard said.

Millard explained everything to the gang. "Another Shane Gang? Terrorizing Caverna Mall?" Eli asked in shock. "Indeed. We figured it wasn't really you guys. And that's partly why we came here." Millard said. "But who'd wanna frame us?" Dana asked. "Who knows? We made a lot of enemies other than Blakk lately." Mario said. "Well, there's only one way to find out. We're going back to Caverna Mall." Eli decided. The gang nodded.

The gang, Millard, Shorty and Goggles rode up to Caverna Mall as another explosion was blasted through the roof. "Looks pretty bad, Eli. You sure this was a good idea?" Harley asked. "Well, it'll probably beat anything else I've led us into." Eli said. Harley nodded. "So, what's the plan, E?" Dana asked. "Here's what we're gonna do." Eli said, explaining the plan.

Later, Eli, Harley, Millard, Shorty and Goggles entered the mall, looking for any sign of the imposters. "You sure they're still even here, Millard?" Harley asked. "I'm certain. I'll bet they're plotting to spring a little trap for us right about now." Millard said. Just then, a blaster was fired. The 5 looked up, seeing a Hop Rock coming in towards them. They jumped out of the way as the slug hit the floor. Eli readied his blaster as a cackle was heard from above. There, on the top rail, stood the Fake Eli. "You are trespassing on Shane Gang territory! Surender your slugs and leave now or be slugged!" Fake Eli warned. "Okay, that is the fakest imprecation of my brother I have ever heard." Harley muttered. "Last chance to hand over your slugs and leave!" Fake Eli said as a fake Shane Gang came into view.

"Okay. Enough of this game of Charades. Why don't you take off the wig and show your face…Billy?" Eli said, revealing the Fake Eli's identity. Billy from the Hooligang. Billy growled as he took off the wig. "How'd you know?!" He asked with frustration. "Come on. Who else in Slugterra would think they're of any superiority to my gang?" Eli said. "Lucky guess." Croesus said as he and the slug hunters took off their disguises too. "You may have avoided our little trap, Shane, but you used up your chance to leave!" Billy said, slinging a Grenuke. Eli managed to jump out of the way of the slug and slung Rammer. Billy managed to jump out of the way and down to ground floor. But Eli slung Goober, covering the spot where Billy landed with Loogi, trapping him in place. Billy growled with frustration while trying to pull himself free.

Eli twirled his blaster proudly. "That's the last slug you'll ever sling, Shane." Croesus said, aiming his blaster with the hunters at Eli. Harley, Millard, Shorty and Goggles prepared to draw their blasters too. "Don't even try. You're outnumbered. 6 to 5." Sid pointed out. "Oh, that's where you're wrong." Harley said, nodding to Eli. "Now gang!" Eli called. Trixie and Lash appeared from above. Lash first fired Goat. Trixie fired Blizzard. Goat bashed Sid into the female hunter. Blizzard froze the other 2 hunters with Deepfreeze. Sid recovered and prepared to sling a slug, but Webby appeared and latched onto Sid's blaster, pulling it out of his grip and into Dana's hand. "Now that's not very nice." Dana said. Sid growled, preparing to walk over. But then, someone tapped his shoulder. He turned to look, seeing Watts knocking him out.

The 2 frozen hunters finally broke out of the Deepfreeze and prepared to fire. Suddenly, their blasters were knocked out of their hands by Punch and Dunk. The 2 turned to see Vance and Mario. "Not a bad trick shot." Mario said. "I should say so." Vance said. The 2 hunters were about to charge them, but then Shimei landed in their way. She slowly stood up and split her blaster in 2. "Let's dance." She said. The hunters charged. Shimei started whacking their legs, leading up to the upper body of the big hunter, finishing with a whack to the head, knocking him down. Then she flipped over the other hunter and slammed both her blasters on the hunter's back, knocking him down. "Like swatting down a rusty old mecha beast." She said, stretching out her arms. But the hunters immediately got back up, preparing to pounce. But then, Kord came up and bashed their heads together. Shimei was surprised. "You're welcome." Kord said. Shimei sheepishly smiled.

Croesus kept up his guard, blaster at the ready. "You really should get yourself a better blaster, rich boy." Pronto's voice said. Croesus turned around and saw the molenoid standing there. He just chuckled. "Seriously? They put the weakest slinger in their group to take me out?" He asked. "Ah, but you see, there is but one thing that always brings Pronto's enemies to their knees." Pronto said. "And what would that be?" Croesus asked. "EAT MY STINK!" Pronto shouted, slinging Stinky into Croesus' face with Blorfball. "AGH! THAT STINKS SO MUCH!" Croesus screamed before fainting from the stink.

Billy looked on with shock at what happened. "WHAT?! There's even more of you now?!" He asked with shock frustration. "I didn't think that would surprise you, Billy." Eli said. "Yeah, because unlike you, me and Eli have a way of making friends where we go." Harley said. Billy growled with frustration. "Oh, don't look that way. It's not like you ever had a way of making friends. Especially when you're heading for prison." Eli said, slinging Rocky. But suddenly, a Thresher was slung out of nowhere, knocking Rocky aside. That shocked the gang. "Where'd that Thresher come from?" Trixie asked. "Well, you losers aren't the only team to have expanded." Billy said.

The gang looked up to the top of the stairwell. Standing on the top step was a beautiful girl around Billy's age. Long raven black hair tied in a ponytail. (AN: Similarity to Bayonetta.) She wore a tight leather short-sleeved jacket with her midsection exposed and the Hooligang mark on the left breast. The zipper undone a smidge, exposing the middle of her chest. "Well, well, Billy got a new recruit. Hope you're ready to taste slug, lady." Harley said. "I am not a recruit! I'm the Hooligang's new co-leader." The girl said, walking down the stairs. "Meet my sister, Belinda." Billy introduced. "SISTER?!" The gang asked in shock. "Can't you see the family resemblance?" Belinda asked, nuzzling up to her brother. "She's definitely an improvement over Billy." Pronto whispered. "Don't tell them that." Harley whispered.

"So, this is the famous Shane Gang my dear brother has told me so much about?" Belinda asked, examining each one of the Shane Gang. "I gotta be honest. I am…disappointed." That made Pronto angry. "Disappointed?! I will show you the fame and ferocity of Pronto the Great!" He shouted, slinging his new MakoBreaker, Sharky, firing Razorstorm. Billy and Belinda split up, dodging the attack. Belinda slung a Polero, wrapping around Pronto's legs and tripping him. "I got this one!" Dana called, slinging her new Hexlet, Jinx. But Belinda slung a Frostcrawler, creating an ice wall and bouncing Jinx right back at them. Dana, Kord and Mario jumped out of the way before Jinx's powers could affect them. "Next!" Belinda called. "Try me on, sister!" Trixie yelled, slinging Roller. Belinda slid to the side to dodge. "Good shot. Here's a better one." She said, slinging a Rammstone, bashing Trixie into a wall. "Trixie!" Eli called with worry. Trixie groaned from how hard she hit the wall.

Eli glared at Belinda. "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I hurt your beloved fiancé? Good." Belinda said mockingly. Harley stepped up beside his brother. "Face it, Shanes, you can't beat the mighty duo of Billy and Belinda! This time, I win!" Billy shouted. Eli and Harley looked at each other. "Not this time." Eli said. Harley nodded. Eli pulled out the double-barrel blaster and equipped it onto his blaster. "What are you doing?! What is that thing?!" Billy asked as he and Belinda took aim at the brothers. "Just a little something new I picked up." Eli said, taking aim. Rammer and Jaws were loaded in the barrels. Eli took the shot and Rammer and Jaws transformed. Billy was surprised at this. Both slugs spun around back-to-back and created a jaw set made from Rammer's horns. This fusion was called Rockchomp. Billy and Belinda slung a Hop Rock and another Thresher. Unfortunately, both slugs were chomped down by the fusion move. Billy and Belinda quickly jumped out of the way before the move the spot they were standing. Rammer and Jaws were shaken from the landing, but shook it off, chittering with laughter.

Belinda recovered and helped up her brother. "You okay, Billy?" She asked. "Just peachy." Billy groaned. "You might as well just surrender, Billy. You don't have the skill to match against a move like that." Eli said. "Indeed. It's back to the big house for you, buckos." Millard said. Croesus and the hunters recovered and regrouped with Billy and Belinda. "Not this time! You may have won this round, but we'll be back!" Billy growled, slinging a Flatulorhinkus at the floor, creating a cloud of Blorfball. The gang coughed from the smell. When the cloud cleared, the Hooligang was gone. "Don't worry. We'll catch up with them. It's not like they'll be able to try that framing stunt again." Millard said. "I sure hope so." Eli muttered.

The Hooligang regrouped at their hideout. It was a medium sized cabin in Jungle Cavern. Sid and the hunters were polishing their blasters. Croesus was giving himself a manicure. Billy sat in his room, growling with frustration from yet another defeat, tried to think of a new plan to destroy the Shane Gang. Just then, Belinda walked in. "Growing frustrated again, Billy?" She asked. "Does it really matter?" Billy asked with frustration. Belinda playfully shook her head and sat down next to her brother, rubbing his shoulders. "Would it help my beloved brother if I help come up with a plan?" She asked with seduction. "As if anything can help us destroy the Shane Gang." Billy said. Belinda cupped her brother's cheeks and turned him to face her. "Billy, I've cared about you since we were children. Like you, I've never cared of what anybody said. Not even our own parents. I love you. And I'll do whatever I can to help you destroy the Shane Gang." She said straightly. Billy grabbed her biceps, like he was about to argue. But he just pulled Belinda in and kissed her. "Mmm." Belinda moaned passionately as she felt her brother's lips move against hers. They then broke apart. "Alright, sis. Let's get to work." Billy said. Belinda giggled wickedly, biting her bottom lip.

The Shane Gang recuperated back at their hideout. Kord groaned as he placed an ice pack on his bicep. "I'll be the first to say it. The Hooligang are getting more and more desperate to prove that they're superior to us in every way." He said, feeling the sting from the ice. "Tell me about it. They're getting stronger and very close to getting rid of us." Trixie said, putting a pack on her back. (Ha! I made a rhyme!) "Bah! Those hoodlums can try as hard as they can possibly try, but they will never outmatch the greatness that is Pronto!" Pronto boasted. "Oh, sit down, you ear aching pain." Harley groaned, pushing Pronto onto the couch.

Eli was looking out the window. Dana saw this and walked over to him. "Hey bro. Still thinking about what the Hooligang did?" She asked. "Yep. Billy's really getting more and more desperate. And I have a feeling he's gonna try again." Eli said. Dana put her hand on her brother's shoulder.

Suddenly, there was news flash on the TV. "Breaking news! The Shane Gang have turned over a very bad leaf and are raiding Lumino Cavern!" Bob said on screen. The gang was shocked to hear this. "Billy must be at it again!" Harley said. "Let's ride out, gang!" Eli called. Harley, Dana, Watts, Lash and Shimei all got ready. "Sorry, Eli, but I think we're gonna sit this one out." Kord said, still feeling the pain in his arm. "Yeah, I doubt we can fight or ride with our injuries." Vance said, rubbing his bandaged ankle. "And I'll stay here to take care of them." Eliza said. "Good luck, Eli." Trixie said. "Thanks. Let's go!" Eli called.

The gang rode to Lumino Cavern, only to find the place completely demolished. The workers were spread across the ground. And several mine carts stripped of the freshly mined Lumino ore. "Looks like we're too late." Shimei said. "Whoa. The Hooligang did an ugly number on this place." Harley said. "Shane Gang!" A voice called. The director struggled out of a mine cart. "Mr. Director! Are you okay?" Lash asked. "I'll be okay. I've been through worse." The director said. "What happened?" Dana asked. "Well, it's hard to explain, but I think you guys attacked us. I mean, they looked like you and talked like you, but I didn't believe it was you." The director explained. "It wasn't us. It was the Hooligang. They're always trying to prove that they're better than us in every way." Eli said. "Where'd they go?" Harley asked. "I don't know. One second they hit us, and the next they're gone with half our ore shipment." The director said.

"Eli, come in. It's Trixie. You there, babe?" Trixie called on the comm. "What's up, Trix?" Eli asked. "We got word on the Hooligang's next target from the news. They're attacking the Cavern Museum." Trixie revealed. "Thanks Trixie. We'll be on our way." Eli said. "Well, if you guys are gonna leave, may as well be now." The director said. "He's right. The security slingers will be here soon. And I doubt they'll believe in our innocence as Millard does." Harley said.

At the Cavern Museum, the Hooligang, still in their Shane Gang disguises, were really trashing the place. Blasting slugs and tossing things around. "This plan is working out better than we planned, Belinda." Billy said. "And once the Shane Gang is put away for 'their' crimes, it will be easy street for you and me, little brother." Belinda said, nuzzling her brother's shoulder. "Don't count your blessings just yet, sicko sister!" Dana's voice called. Billy and Belinda turned around, seeing the gang in the door. "How'd you find us?!" Billy asked. "Simple. We left a few friends at home after last time and they kept tabs with us with the news. Easily tracible." Harley said. "Well, that doesn't matter now. We've destroyed your reputation, Shanes. By now, every security slinger will be hunting for you. And when they find you, you'll all be locked back up in Stalagmite 17, where you belong." Belinda said. "Actually, they'll be hunting for you." Eli said, gesturing over to Dana, who was holding Trixie's camera, with the red light on. The Hooligang was shocked. "We've been recording you all this time since Caverna Mall." Harley said. We've also posted it on the Slugnet." Dana said, turning off the camera. "So, now everyone knows the truth. The truth that the Shane Gang is what it's always been." Eli said.

Billy was now filled with so much frustration, his face was completely red. "SLUG THEM! SLUG THEM ALL!" He screamed, slinging a Hop Rock towards them. Eli jumped out of the way and the others scattered for cover. Belinda, Croesus and the hunters started firing too. Lash peaked out from behind a pillar and slung String, wrapping around the 2 big hunters with Wrapattack. The female hunter slung a Flaringo. Watts slung Tidal Wave, dousing the fire slug with Aquajet. The female hunter was about to load another slug, but Shimei slung Jin, knocking her blaster out of her hand. Then she slung her new Arachnet, Mai, trapping the female hunter with her web. Sid peaked out from his cover and thinking he had a clear shot at Shimei, he slung a Lavalynx. But Shimei, sensing the incoming slug, blocked it with her staff. Sid was shocked. "Big mistake." Shimei said with a smile. Just then, Sid turned to see Goat coming in, knocking him out. Lash blew the smoke from his blaster. "Don't touch my girlfriend." He said.

Croesus and Dana prepared to face off. "So, I hear you used to be a thief." Croesus said. "That's right." Dana said. "You wouldn't happen to be that one thief who stole half my family's treasury without a trace, would it?" Croesus asked. "Me and my brother. Guilty as charged." Dana said. "Good. Then I won't feel guilty about doing THIS!" Croesus shouted, slinging a Tazerling. Dana slung Webby up at the ceiling, pulling her out of the way with her web and dodging the Tazerling's attack. Croesus growled, slinging a Thresher towards the web. "Not this time." Dana said, slinging Tailwind and sending the Thresher right back with Galestorm. The slug latched onto Croesus' blaster and shredded it. "Hey, that was an expensive blaster!" Croesus complained. "Cry me a river, rich boy." Dana said, slinging her new AquaBeek, Nemo, soaking Croesus with Aquajet. "And for the record, you can always buy a new blaster with all that money."

Eli, Harley, Billy and Belinda continued to sling slugs back and forth. Billy and Belinda seemed to be gaining the upper hand. "Face it, Shanes! When it comes to fighting 2-on-2, Belinda and I emerge triumphant!" Billy shouted. "Love the sound of that, my beloved." Belinda said, pecking her brother's lips before firing another slug. Eli and Harley hid behind cover as the slugs hit it or zipped over them. "We can't hold down for much longer." Eli said. "But how can we stop them? We threw everything we got at them." Harley said. Eli started to think, until he got an idea. "I got an idea. We're gonna take a page from Twist's book." He said. "You mean using misdirection?" Harley asked. "Except without using a Thugglet slug." Eli said. "Loving it!" Harley said.

Billy and Belinda aimed their blasters at the Shane brothers' cover. "Blast anything that moves from that spot." Billy said. Just then, Eli's head peaked out from the cover. "Got ya!" Belinda called, firing a Rammstone at Eli's head. But it wasn't Eli's head, it was a decoy made from Jellyish slime. "It's a fake! Where are the real Shanes?!" Billy asked in anger. "Right here, Billy!" Eli called. Billy and Belinda turned to see the Shane brothers pop out from behind a pillar. Eli slung Rocky. Billy and Belinda ducked out of the way. But then Harley slung Zipper, grabbing Belinda and slamming her into the wall, knocking her out.

Billy turned and growled at the gang as they regrouped with Eli and Harley. "You attack my sister?! My lover?!" He asked in anger. 'Lover?!' 'His own sister?!' 'Gross!' 'That's disgusting!' 'This is so weird.' The gang thought. "Well, we're not finished!" Billy shouted, taking aim at the gang. But suddenly, a Speedstinger knocked his blaster out of his hand. He turned to see Millard, Shorty, Goggles and an entire force of security slingers. "Actually, you are finished, son." Millard said. Billy growled, knowing he was beaten yet again.

Afterwards, the gang headed back to the hideout and explained the whole story to Trixie and the others. "So, Billy and Belinda have that kind of relationship?" Kord asked. "That's what Billy said." Harley said. "Well, that's just about the craziest thing I've heard all my life." Vance said. "I'm just glad the Hooligang was stopped before we were the ones put in prison." Lash said. "Yeah. Being put behind bars three times in a row? That's a little over the limit for me." Harley said. "Pronto too. Even though I've only been put behind bars one time." Pronto said. Everyone laughed at that.

Meanwhile, the Hooligang sat in their cell, waiting for the cart that would deliver them to Stalagmite 17. But just then, their cell door was opened. They turned to see Twist and Deagan entering with him. "Dr. Blakk!" Billy said out of fear. "You've been keeping yourself busy I see." Blakk said. "What do you want?" Billy asked. "It's time for you and your gang to finish the job." Blakk said. The Hooligang looked at each other and smiled evilly.

Well, how about that for an original chapter? The Hooligang attempt to frame the Shane Gang with the help from a new member, Billy's sister Belinda. What other surprises will await the Shane Gang? Leave a review if you want.
