A/N: I hope you like long, early chapters. Also, sorry I couldn't resist getting some more Charlie time in this.
Charlie's Point of View
I opened up the brittle paper and began to read. Wow, she has neat handwriting.
Good morning or afternoon Charlie,
I'm in Italy, and all is well. Dante can be the method of communication for us. How is Bella doing? Is Edward treating her well? How are you? And how are my friends? I can't wait to hear from you.
P.S.: Can you feed him and let him rest before you send him off? he's very well trained, you won't have a problem with him.
P.P.S.: He likes almonds.
Love,
Rebecca
I wrote down a response to send off with Dante come morning. I also assumed Bella hoped to write to Rebecca, so I would tell her. There were a few things I couldn't understand; like how that raven flew over the Atlantic Ocean in a few days, not just that but carrying a letter.
Rebecca's Point of View
I woke up in the bed of my chambers. Aro was holding me, I realized I must have fallen asleep when we were cuddling each other. "Good morning!" I said in my chirpy way, I saw a smile tug at his lips. "well, you're up." I sat up in the bed, "of course I am, so what's the game plan for today?" He seemed sad about something. I hugged him tight, and he sighed as he pulled away. "as much as I would like to monopolize, your time.
Caius put out the fact that I can't, and that you need to learn etiquette for the meet and greet. He suggests you learn that with the girls." That was sad. I didn't want to be separated from him, but I also knew this was important. "Brace yourself there coming." Just then the door burst open, and I was surprised the door didn't fly off its hinges. "Good morning!" I told them, "girls day out!" Diana squealed, I laughed nervously, and whispered to Aro, "what does girls day out entail?" he chuckled, "shopping a tea party perhaps. Though they'll use blood instead of tea, and sometimes they do something they like to call a try-on-a-thon."
So basically, the works, not to bad, I was expecting worse. I sent this thought to Aro who laughed fully at this. It caused Athenadora and Diana to look at him questioningly, "it was something Rebecca thought about." Diana looked back at me, "get on some clothes were going to get you ready!" I did, and honestly, I decided to put on wizard clothing again because it was comfortable; however, I had the feeling I wouldn't be in it for much longer.
(time skip (don't worry it's only a few minutes))
I was in the kitchen with Dora and Diana. The chief had laid down a plate of breakfast food that looked delicious. I started to put a fork in it when Diana took the plate out from under me. "what was that for?!" I said aggravated, "you're not eating it right." She said it like it made taking the plate out from under me justified. I groaned internally this is going to be a long day. "so, how do I eat it correctly?"
She sighed "like this," she sat down next to me back strait. She placed the food in front of her and took my fork. "hey! -" she shushed me and put the fork into the food in a way that looked surreal. She lifted it up to her mouth, then put it back down and passed the plate. "There now you try."
I tried sitting up strait, and copy the hand and arm movements, but I failed. "No! you're doing it wrong again." She took my arm and started maneuvering it so that it was positioned the way she wanted it to be. "Okay, now try the motion" I did, and she squealed, "yes you did it right!" I looked over at Athenadora, her face was the same as Diana's. Squinted eyes, and happy expressions, I held the bridge of my nose and sighed internally.
I started to pull the fork to my mouth before Diana intervened and started maneuvering my arm again. "Now try again, but do it right this time alright?" My arm felt like it just wanted a break and I hadn't even eaten one forkful yet.
I repeated the movements, apparently it was up to her standards, because she let me get this far. I put it in my mouth. Ha! Ha! Rebecca one, and etiquette zero! I put the fork down, "can I eat in peace now?" she shook her head. "No, you have to eat like this through any meals that are given to you, since you're human." Dora must have seen my expression "don't worry it gets easier" I sure hope so. "probably" I started to suffer through it.
(Time skip (yes, another time skip it's to the next etiquette lesson))
"Okay, walking is not an option, you have to glide your way through everything like so." Athenadora was my teacher this time, and she started to walk with the inhuman grace that all vampires are known for. "Don't you think that this part of training is a little unfair? All vampires are coordinated and stuff, and here I am having to learn all this."
Athenadora sighed, "first off do not say 'stuff' it's not the right word to use in a formal situation, always be precise. Second, me and Dora both had to learn all this 'stuff' as humans, circa 1300BC." Good point, "lastly," she continued. Wait what she still had something else to critique on? "You probably weren't paying attention." She sighed. So true. "I'll show you again."
She proceeded to show me the same thing she showed me before. I tried to mimic the gesture, at the end of my 'gliding' spree, they gave me there, ideas on my performance. "Not bad but it could be better." "I second that." Athenadora said, walking, no gliding over to me, and changing my posture. "Try again now, and remember don't walk, glide." I repeated the same thing over and over, until both of them were satisfied with it.
(Time skip (same reason as the last two time skips))
"teatime!" Diana said, "now we'll be having teatime with blood, and you'll have it with tea." apparently Corrin was going to teaching me this time. "so, when you pour the tea for yourself or others it will look like this." She said pouring the blood for herself Dora and Diana. "now you try." She gave me a completely different teapot to pour from. Okay, how to do this? place your hand on there and hold it by the handle. I started to pour it and Corrin gave me a nod of approval. finally! something I'm good at from the first time! I placed it down,
"that was really good for a first try, keep it up. Now, on the eating biscuits part since your human." I have to say the biscuits were pretty good. It was hard not to just shove like ten of them in my mouth at once. "are all biscuits this good? Or is it just the ones here?" Corrin looked at me and giggled, "I made these actually, I'm glad you like them."
(Time Skip (BTW there was more etiquette than just this))
"Okay, I think that's everything, now all we have to do is keep reinforcing what you learned today and pick out your outfits!" Wwhhhaaattt?! All of this… it wasn't over? Today was terrible! being with my new friends made things bearable, but it was still torture! We started wal- no I corrected myself glide, to my room.
I felt slightly sore from using muscles that I didn't really use. "here we are" we stopped at my room. I had to ask, "is everyday going to be as hard as this one?" Diana hugged me reassuringly, "honestly I'm not sure, we grew up with this, but you have to learn this so… that much is unknown." Oh, great, well you know what they say, it doesn't matter how much you hurt today it will hurt worse when you wake up the next day.
I was tired sapped of all energy when I opened the door. I saw Aro sitting on the bed, "Rebecca?" I was too tired to respond correctly so I settled for "hmm?" plopping down next to him, knowing that if any of the girls saw what I just did that they'd grill me again about being proper. "you're tired I see," that's all I really remembered before falling asleep.
A/N: Oh my gosh! this is literally like 1434 words! I don't know why, but I couldn't stop the chapter until the end of the day. I just wouldn't have felt satisfied with it, so yay you! You have an almost 1500-word chapter! Also, thank you again for all your patience because again, I know I wouldn't have the same amount you do. Also, sorry about time skips. Also, p.s. but can someone tell me if my writing is getting easier to read? Thanks.
