Chapter 35: Catching Up, Part 1

~MAY 16TH, 2022, 3PM~

Jordin was with Koi after class.

"You and Daichi are feeling much better now?" Koi asked.

"Yep." Jordin replied.

Daichi then ran up to them.

"JoJo!" Daichi shouted. "We have to be with Sensei today!"

"Which one?" Jordin asked.

"Uh… Mr. Nishikawa! Yes, him!"

"The science teacher?! Why him?!"

"Because after our absences, we were falling behind in Science class and he wanted us to catch up."

"Why us of all people?"

"You guys are going to Mr. Nishikawa's class? Koi asked. "Good luck I guess…"

Hatsuki then ran up to Koi.

"Koi! Miss Endoh wanted us!" Hatsuki shouted.

"Isn't she the gym teacher?" Jordin asked.

"Why me of all us people?" Koi asked Hatsuki.

"Taiyo told me about it." Hatsuki replied. "We're falling behind in Gym due to what's happening with Tsuki's death and Haya's death…"

Koi sighed.

"Alright Hatsuki… Take me to Gym class." Koi said.

Koi and Hatsuki then walked away.

"I guess we're going to Science class then?" Jordin said. "If that's where we're going?"

"Yes." Daichi replied. "Let's not get late!"

Daichi then runs.

"Good gracious… Wait up, Daichi!" Jordin shouted as he also started to run.

They both arrived in Science Class.

"We're here!" Daichi said as he then knocked on the door.

"Is Mr. Nishikawa in the room?" Jordin wonders as he took deep breaths. "Running to class sounds like a rush."

"It really is, so I apologize if I did."

"It's fine, I guess…"

The door to Science class opened, revealing the Science teacher, Chimon Nishikawa.

"Good evening, Mr. Nishikawa." Jordin said. "You wanted me and Daichi here, right?"

"Correct." Chimon said. "Come in."

In the classroom, Jordin and Daichi saw that the room only had the teacher's desk and two student's desks.

"It's just us?" Daichi asked.

"It is only you two…" Chimon replied. "Sit down, and we'll get started."

When both Jordin and Daichi sat down, they saw their teacher start writing on the whiteboard like a pro.

"How did you get that talent to write well on the board?" Jordin asked.

"Practice makes perfect, Jordin." Chimon replied. "It took about a year to get to this level."

"And what are you writing?" Daichi asked.

"Just something for you two to read. Almost done."

A minute later, Chimon steps away from the whiteboard to make it fully clear for Jordin and Daichi to read what Chimon wrote on it.

"Psychic is what we will be using for making up the work you have missed…" Jordin said.

"No no no… You have to read what's on it to… Tell me what you are doing." Chimon said. "Read again with what I told you to do."

"Ok?"

Jordin looks at Daichi. Daichi was confused. Jordin then looked back to the whiteboard.

"Psychic is what we will be using for making up the work WE have missed." Jordin said.

"Good. Good…" Chimon said.

"Why psychic?" Daichi asked.

"I will explain, so listen up."

"I have a bad feeling about this." Jordin said to himself. "Is Mr. Nishikawa a Stane User? I'm guessing too early…"

Chimon then erased what he had written on the board.

"Now… Psychic." Chimon said as he started to write. "They are a power that grants you looking at a future or as what my folks would use, telekinesis."

"And what about them?" Jordin asked.

"That question you asked is where it will come in."

Chimon raised an eyebrow.

"Telekinesis… You can influence the psychic system without the need of a psychic interaction." Chimon said.

"Kinda like gravity?" Daichi asked.

"Kinda like gravity, if you want to."

Chimon then holds up a rock.

"This rock will be our first test subject." Chimon said. "Watch carefully and learn carefully."

The rock was then seen floating in mid-air while Chimon was focusing on it.

"Holy crap." Daichi said. "Cool!"

"Interesting…" Jordin said.

"As you can see, I must focus on this rock to have it stay in the air!" Chimon said. "And if I look away…"

Chimon then looked away from the rock. The rock then fired towards Jordin. Jordin stopped the rock by having Hybrid Theory grabbed it. Chimon looks at Jordin holding the rock.

"H-How did you get that rock?!" Chimon said.

"It fired at me!" Jordin shouted.

"Oh… I see… I guess when I look away from the rock then I'll be able to fire it at a pacing speed. And you grabbed it on impact? I wonder how…"

"Ok! Can we take some sort of make-up test or something?!" Daichi shouted. "Because this is getting freaky as hell!"

As soon as Daichi got up, he felt stuck.

"Gah! What the hell are you doing now, Sensei?!" Daichi shouted.

"Daichi Kappak… Calling me Sensei is old… What is this? Karate class? Because this is Science class." Chimon said. "Now the telekinesis has affected you."

Daichi looks at Jordin.

"JoJo! Don't just sit there! Help me out dude!" Daichi shouted.

"Wait, Daichi!" Jordin shouted. "Something is off about Mr. Nishikawa…"

Jordin then looks at Chimon as something emerges next to him.

"I knew it…" Jordin said. "Mr. Nishikawa is a Stand User…"
