With the threats popping up all over the Digital World, the heroes and heroines split up into several groups as to confront their enemies, while AscendedVeedramon and AscendedOphanimon made their way to the where they sensed the Dark King and Witch Queen, hoping to cut off the head of the dark forces before they could cause too much damage.

Meanwhile, Marcus, Yoshi and Keenan rode upon ShineGreymon's shoulders as Rosemon and Ravemon flew beside him, while Thomas was on MirageGaogamon's being, the four DATS members and their partners heading towards the location their counterparts were last spotted at.

Feeling some concerns growing within him, Keenan looked toward the others and asked. "Do you guys think it was a good idea to leave Davis and Kari alone for their fight?"

"It's for the best." Thomas replied, he too worried for Davis and Kari, but added as he continued to look forward. "None of us are strong enough to take on their counterparts, and from what we've seen of them, we'd either be in the way, or worse, used against them."

"Yeah, but..." Keenan began to add, still having a bad feeling about all of this, like they were walking straight into a trap, before Marcus looked at him and smiled.

"There's no need to worry. Davis and Kari can look after themselves, and right now, they need us to help them fight off the darkness in our own way." Marcus told Keenan, his words bringing a smile to Yoshi's face at the brunette's more sincere side, before Yoshi spoke up, expressing sincerity in her voice. "And after we're done here, we'll check in on Davis and Kari to make sure they're alright."

"Then we better make this quick." A familiar voice said from behind the DATS members, who looked back in surprise to see the Royal Knights flying behind them, where Yoshi then asked. "Why are you guys here?! Should you be helping out in other areas?"

"The quickest way to end this is to take out their leaders." Magnamon said in reply, before adding with a more sincere tone. "Plus, after all that has happened, we would be honoured to fight alongside you in this battle against these dark reflections."

"We're happy to have you guys with us." Marcus remarked, before ShineGreymon narrowed his eyes and said. "They're in front of us!"

Coming to a stop, the DATS members and Royal Knight saw Dark Marcus, Dark Yoshi, Dark Thomas and Dark Keenan, each smirked at the new arrivals, while ShineGreymon: RM stood behind them with what appeared to be Ruin Mode versions of Rosemon, MirageGaogamon and Ravemon around him.

But what shocked Marcus and the others the most was seeing dark mirror images of the same Royal Knights with them also behind the Dark DATS Team.

"So nice of you to finally show up." Dark Marcus said with a growing smirk, adding with an excited tone. "You have no idea how long I've waited for this."

"What is the meaning of this?!" Leopardmon questioned, angered to see not only his dark double, but that of his fellow knights on the enemy's side.

"The Royal Knights follow the strongest, and after the Dark King came to my world and kicked their asses, they knew their place." Dark Marcus replied, keeping the dark grin on his face as he overlooked his opponents with a further superiority.

"Very well. We each follow a path that has led us to these destinies, so we shall settle who the superior ones are." Gallantmon said, drawing his lance, knowing that as he and his Royal Knight brethren acted toward Marcus in the past, the only way to reason was to prove their strength.

As the Royal Knights withdrew their weaponry, Craniamon taking a noble stance before Marcus and the others, both protecting the his allies and allowing them time to harness the power of the Burst Mode, the DATS withdrew their Digivices, preparing themselves for their ultimate conflict.

"Charge! D.N.A. Burst Mode!"All four DATS members announced, summoning auras of energy around their right hands and slamming them to their Digivices, enveloping the Digimon around them, allowing ShineGreymon, MirageGaogamon, Rosemon and Ravemon to accel past their Mega forms and achieve their Burst Modes.

With the Burst Mode Digimon now by their side, feeling their increase of power, the Royal Knights felt the strength within themselves furthering, all knowing they had to keep up with ShineGreymon: BM and the others as to ensure their world wouldn't fall to the darkness.

ShineGreymon: RM let out a roar of rage, signaling his allies to attack as the four corrupt Digimon, along with their Royal Knights, charged forward, looking to take their counterparts out as quickly as possible.

"Don't give them mercy, we must protect our world!" Kentaurosmon declared as he and his fellow knights charged at their doubles, while the Burst Mode Digimon launched themselves at their fallen counterparts, the impacts causing shockwaves that shook the ground as the two groups began to battle.

Clashing powerfully against the other, the Royal Knights, Burst Mode Digimon and the corrupted showed their strength, holding nothing back the second their conflict began.

"Lightning Joust!" Gallantmon declared, releasing a great bolt of thunder from his javelin, which the fallen Gallantmon repelled with his shield and countered, casting out a bolt of thunder of his own.

But as the lightning headed for Gallantmon, having learnt from Marcus and the others, Craniamon appeared before Gallantmon, his massive shield absorbing the damage, and protecting his friend.

"Shock Ringer!" Craniamon then bellowed, swiping his shield aside and moving to the offensive as he began swinging his Duo Solar Spear, bringing a great uproar of wind that tore through the fallen Gallantmon.

However, though Gallantmon and Craniamon saw they had landed the first attack, a retaliation was sure to follow.

And it did, where Craniamon looked up to see his own double coming down, his Duo Solar Spear ready to strike, where the Knight Digimon acted first as he withdrew his shield.

"Power of Breath!" Craniamon announced, casting his Omni Shield out and producing a near impregnable wall around the area, blocking all the attacks thrown against him and the Royal Knights closest to him.

However, anticipating Cranimon's strategy, the evil Leopardmon used his superior speed to deliver a great blow with his blade upon seeing the weakness within Craniamon's defences, the fallen knight slicing along Cranaimon's chest and causing him to stumble from the attack.

As his allies began their fights, the Royal Knights taking damage and suffering, but pushing through their injuries, ShineGreymon: BM clashed his fists with his Ruin Mode counterpart, both growling at one another as they tried to push each other back, their combined energies cracking the ground beneath them.

"Come on, ShineGreymon, don't let that creep...!" Marcus started to yell, only to receive a fist in his face, sending him tumbling to the ground, where he looked up to see his counterpart smirking down at him.

"Save the talk, it's time we settled things here." Dark Marcus said, keeping a dark and menacing look upon the fallen brunette, before trying to attack again , bringing down his fist again, only for Marcus to clench his palm into Dark Marcus' attack and pull himself back to his feet.

"You're right about that! I'm looking forward to punching that smug look off of your face!" Marcus yelled as he went to deliver his own punch, only for his double to dodge it with ease.

"My face? It's the same face as yours. Only when my Agumon unlocked his Ruin Mode, I embraced that power, instead of running from it like you did, coward." Dark Marcus remarked, infuriating his counterpart as the two began fighting, releasing their pent up energy and their rage upon one another, which furthered the darkness inside of ShineGreymon: Ruin Mode, unbeknownst to Marcus.

Nearby, Rosemon: BM and her Ruin Mode counterpart began clashing in the air, neither speaking to one another as they fought one another, clashing their thorn blades against each other.

Upon seeing her partner show her grace, avoiding Rosemon: RM's dark variant of her Jewel of Heart attack, sweeping past a barrage of dark purple orbs, from her position, Yoshi spoke up.

"Keep going, Rosemon! We have to keep fighting for everyone we hold to our hearts!" The auburn haired DATS officer called, expressing her emotion and her faith within herself and her partner, only to tense up as a dark chuckle filled her ears.

"Fighting for everyone we hold to our hearts? Did I always sound that stupid?" Yoshi then heard her own voice say, causing her to turn and see her counterpart walking towards her with a sadistic smirk, where she then added. "Well, I guess I kind of did, before my Marcus went mad and helped me see things... in a new light, after the torture, that is."

Overlooking her counterpart, taking in her appearance and seeing Dark Yoshi held similar aspects in terms of facial features and body structure, though taking note of the black attire she was wearing, looking into her corrupt double's eyes, Yoshi could see the clear evil Dark Yoshi held.

"Torture...?" Yoshi found herself asking, leading to some concerns. "What did Marcus do to you?"

"Oh, this and that. Lets just say that I became a new person when he was done, and together, we ruled our Digital World, until the Dark King visited us and offered us so much more." Dark Yoshi replied, before adding as she took out a knife from her back pocket, much to Yoshi's shock. "Now then, less talk, more killing!"

Thanks to her training, working tirelessly as an officer as part of the DATS organization, Yoshi was able to defend herself against her attacker, dodging the swings of Dark Yoshi's blade as the auburn haired officer tried to think of what to do in regards to her situation.

Not too far off, MirageGaogamon: BM and MirageGaogamon: RM stared each other down, both versions of Thomas on their respective partner's shoulders as they waited to see who would move first.

"MirageGaogamon, go with formation Epsilon One!" Thomas then commanded, the call registering as incoherent to most around, save MirageGaogamon, who nodded in reply, before shooting after his Ruin Mode counterpart.

"Formation Three Zeta!" Dark Thomas called in response, observing the movement patterns of MirageGaogamon, believing he was picking up on the codes his counterpart shared with his partner.

Appearing behind MirageGaogamon: RM, MirageGaogamon: BM brought down the sphere of light connected to his blade, growling in frustration to see his counterpart swing around and block the attack, propelling the light with his blade, which was formed by a unique dark energy.

"Why are you doing this? Why are you helping this evil?!" Thomas yelled at his counterpart, who merely glared back at him in anger.

"To end this pointless, unfair existence. To end a reality that allowed you to save Relena in your world, while having me fail in mine!" Dark Thomas replied in a cold tone, causing Thomas to widen his eyes as he now understood his counterpart's suffering, that this is what he could have become if he had failed to save his sister's life.

But before any other words could be spoken, MirageGaogamon: RM pushed his counterpart back, where the two began clashing their blades at one another at high speeds, their partners holding onto them, one wanting to end this to protect his world, the other seeking to end it and the suffering it has brought him.

As the rest of his friends and allies fought their counterparts, Keenan took a moment to look up, seeing Ravemon: BM and the fiendish form that was Ravemon: RM clashing with one another in the sky, before looking forward to see his counterpart walking towards him with a dark anger and a blade in hand.

"You make me sick! Working with the humans after everything they've done! The Dark King was right, and I'll help him end everything if it means ending all you humans once and for all!" Dark Keenan yelled as he rushed at his counterpart, who easily dodged the swings of the blade, while trying to remain calm as he found himself on the receiving end of the anger he once felt so long ago.

"You're wrong. If you had spent any time with people such as Marcus and the others, you'd see the good inside of them, as I have." Keenan said as he too tried to reason a little with his dark counterpart, but found his words seemed to only infuriate Dark Keenan.

"I have, and I see the evil in them as well! All humans are like that! My Marcus uses his evil to manipulate his Agumon, then hurts my Yoshi to drive her insane. I have seen the darkness within humans, and I know they will never change. They seek to destroy everything!" Dark Keenan snapped, expressing his hatred as he tried once again to take down his counterpart.

Continuing to dodge and back up against the swinging blade, Keenan looked around for a moment to see his friends still battling, and hoped the rest of their allies were alright.

-Meanwhile-

As Izzy and Mimi stood upon HerculesKabuterimon's shoulder, with Rosemon flying alongside the pair, and Joe standing atop Vikemon's shoulder, the three Megas moved quickly through the growing battlefield, seeing the army of Shadow Demons, Dark Digimon, Appmon and others clashing with their allies, while the three of them focused on reaching their counterparts, soon spotting the colossal size of the Digimon known as TyrantKabuterimon.

Landing on the ground, HerculesKabuterimon let Izzy and Mimi off, an action Vikemon mirrored, before the trio and their counterparts glared at their dark counterparts.

Looking Mimi up and down, taking in the DATS uniform she wore, Dark Mimi let out a scoff and said in a condescending voice. "Ah, that outfit is so tacky! I can't believe you'd wear it and actually call yourself me!"

"Now look at me." Dark Mimi went on, twirling as to show off her outfit and her figure. "This is what someone with style wears, something to really catch the attention of all the guys around her."

"You look like a cheap copy of Mimi and a Digimon Emperor wannabe!" Rosemon let out, wanting to defend her partner against her vain counterpart, before seeing the dark Palmon glare at her with a wicked smile.

"Yeah, yeah, I heard all about that loser and his pathetic attempt to take over his Digital World. Seriously, his empire paled compared to mine." Dark Mimi remarked in reply, causing the three Digidestined and their Digimon to blink their eyes as they processed what they heard, where Izzy said in curiosity. "You conquered your Digital World?"

"You bet, handsome." Dark Mimi replied with a smirk, which grew as she saw her counterpart flinching toward her flirting, before pointing to Dark Izzy and adding. "At least you're better looking than the robot here."

"As I said before, it is a tech suit, a neural interface and nothing more." Dark Izzy said in monotone, before looking at his double as TyrantKabuterimon let out a dark shriek, where the corrupt Digidestined of Knowledge then said. "Now, enough games, let us end this."

"I agree." Dark Joe let out as he twirled a scalpel on his hand, smirking wickedly as he looked at Joe and added. "I am so looking forward to this!"

Dark Vikemon let out a rage filled cry in reply, while Dark Mimi huffed for a moment, before taking out her Digivice, where she and her Palmon were covered in a dark energy.

When the dark energy faded, in place of Dark Mimi and her Palmon was a dark version of a Lotosmon, with its clothing black, haid white, and more regal robes around her figure as the new Digimon said. "Meet GrandLotosmon, in other words, your end!"

Looking upon their counterparts, the three Digidestined and their partners prepared for the fight to come, hoping that their friends were alright, especially Davis and Kari.

From their spot on top of the Dark Fortress, the Dark King, Witch Queen and their partners all smirked as a pair of bright lights came flying towards them, breaking from their auras as AscendedVeedramon and AscendedOphanimon looked down before them.

"Call off your forces, this battle is between us!" AscendedVeedramon demanded, growling as the Dark King just shook his head no.

"The moment they chose to stand with you, was the moment they asked for this. They want to fight and die for you, then I am more than happy to oblige." Dark Davis remarked, before he caused his counterpart to widen his eyes as the Dark King took out his corrupt D-3, a dark aura forming around it as he then said. "As for us..."

That said, the Dark King and BlackVeemon were consumed in a sphere of dark energy, which grew and changed, before bursting, releasing a great blast of powerful energy, leaving a new being in place of the Dark Davis and his partner.

Almost resembling UlforceVeedramon, the new Digimon was clad in pitch black armour, with a demonic face on the chestplate, while similar demon faces with horns formed the shoulderpads.

What little could be seen of the Digimon's skin was equally black, including a tail similar to Magnamon's, while a pair of black wings went through a long, black cape that flowed in the wind.

Claw-like gauntlets covered the new Digimon's hand, while a black helmet, similar to the Dark King's, covered the Digimon's face, looking like a skull mask with two horns coming out of it.

Holding out its left hand, dark energy flowed into the being's hand as a large, dark blade formed within it, where the new Digimon called out. "Behold, TyrantVeedramon! This is the true power unlocked within Veemon when you accept Ahirman's power!"

Drawing up his right arm, a red blade forming and extending from his gauntlet, the corrupt form appearing as UlforceVeedramon continued to stare upon AscendedVeedramon with a further darkness, before declaring. "After I defeat you, this world will fall before us."

Seeing her King Biomerged with his partner, the Witch Queen acted in turn, drawing out her corrupted D-3 as she and BlackGatomon smirked at AscendedOphanimon, before both were consumed in the same dark sphere as their lovers.

Unlike TyrantVeedramon, however, the sphere grew even larger, taking a serpentine shape as it coiled around the corrupt knight Digimon, the dark energies holding themselves close to TyrantVeedramon, embracing him in a sense, before flying higher as it released its energy, showing off a creature that at first reminded the Ascended of Magnadramon, but appeared to be something more.

Retaining a draconic appearance similar to Magnadramon's, the combination of the Witch Queen and BlackGatomon's darkness and evil left behind a more feral, wild and ferocious form.

Replacing the pink feathers Magnadramon held in her appearance, the giant dragon's body consisted of black scales, running down from its chest and along its arms and its legs.

A set of gigantic wings adorned the dragon Digimon's back, releasing a powerful surge of dark purple energy as the Digimon spread out its wings and gave a shattering inducing roar.

Glaring down at AscendedOphanimon and allowing those to take in its facial features, seeing the more dark, dangerous and evil to it, seeing the terror upon its armoured and spiked reptilian head, and showing its continued hatred toward the Digidestined of Ascended Digidestined through its menacing dark purple eyes, the dark dragon Digimon gave another roar, bellowing her name furiously. "Look upon your deaths! Look upon Dark Tiamatmon!"

As the Ascended Digimon looked upon Dark Tiamatmon, who landed next to TyrantVeedramon, AscendedOphanimon said in a voice filled with disdain. "Now you resemble the monster you claim to be."

Dark Tiamatmon merely laughed wickedly, the two Fallen Ascended looking up at their counterparts, who knew that they could not hold back in this fight, less everything they loved and cared for would be lost forever.
