In case Discord was sleeping, Fluttershy found herself curled in the corner, her knees to her chest, bawling in the bathroom upstairs. Originally, as she was walking up, it was to splash water in her face or shower, but there she was, in her jeans and bra, having began crying mid undress.

It was anxiety inducing, what had happened. Zephyr had been there! In her arms, holding her hands, looking at her, healthy. So why couldn't he have stayed?!

She handed it to herself for being able to be strong while they were there. "WHY DID HE HAVE TO LOOK OKAY WITH LEAVING?!" She sobbed loudly. "Why..."

Fluttershy took a deep, shuddering breath.

She wasn't sure how long she stayed there, letting the salty tears dry against her cheeks, only to bawl again, her mind lost somewhere. She didn't hear Angel scratching at the door, nor the person listening on the other side.

Feeling like she looked disgusting, hair a mess, nose red, eyes puffy and cheeks stained, she went downstairs to go to her room and get some water, just to wet her throat.

She didn't expect to smell something sweet and noise in the kitchen, music playing from a old record player.

Her curiosity won over her need to wallow.

Poking her head in, her eyes began to feel misty again and heart full as she saw Discord over a pot on the stove, counter a mess from making what looked like shortbread, strawberry tops near the stove with a pairing knife.

He began singing along to a slow love song that had come on. Though when she glanced at the record player, there was no record on it.

He hadn't realized she was there, she knew that. He stopped stirring to rub his shoulder, hissing to himself before taking the shortbread out.

She couldn't name the feeling making her heart ache and lungs expand. Walking slowly, she wrapped his middle in a hug, her face buried in his back. He startled, letting out a yelp, before he realized who it was.

"I had hoped to be done before you noticed...Fluttershy?"

She held tighter, biting her lip to stop the words bubbling in her throat as fresh hot tears clouded her vision. She couldn't.

He went to turn, probably look at her face, but she only clung tighter, knuckles pale. "Don't look! I-I look terrible!"

He still tried, letting out a pained noise so she'd let go in fear of hurting him.

He didn't wipe her tears, but his eyes were incredibly soft, his lips curled only a bit at the edges. He began to hum at the tune instead of sing, taking one of her hands and placing his other around her waist and her other landing over his heart, feeling it beat fast.

Her throat clenched tight, even as the words she didn't want to burden him with got caught. She couldn't speak. Couldn't explain. Couldn't anything.

Fluttershy couldn't stop looking into his eyes.

So much so she didn't notice he was dancing with her in the air, not feeling anything under her feet, but not being fearful.

He smiled gently, beginning to sing to the instrumental music. "Take it.

If you give me your heart, I won't break it.

Let my arms be a place you feel safe in.

You're the best thing that I'll ever have. You always have trouble, falling asleep.

You like animals and dancing.

Love giving gifts.

Has a hard time accepting, a good compliment.

You love your whole family-and all of your friends.

So if I'm the one you let in.

You'll love me-" his voice cracked as the blush spread.

"If I love you like that.

On days when-it feels like the whole World might cave in.

Stand side by side and we'll make it.

Kiss you with passion, as much as I can.

Run my fingers through your hair, whenever you're sad.

And when you don't notice, how pretty you are, I'll tell you over and over, so you never forget.

Take it.

If you give me your heart, I won't break it.

Let my arms be a place you feel safe in.

You're the best thing that I'll ever have..." he brushed her hair behind her ear, "...You'll love me...if I love you...like that."

They were back where their feet were on the ground. His eyes didn't leave her's and her breath hitched, her hands flying to her face to cover it as her shoulders shook. He could still see the blush spread to the tips of her ears.

Her voice wouldn't work, so all she could muster was a fast head nod. Just to make sure he saw, she did it a few times in a row.

She felt his deep laughter as he pulled her against himself tighter, bending them back so she felt his breath against the back of her hands. After a bit she removed them and held his face, nodding her head wildly as a different type of tears ran down her cheeks, these ones more sweet to the taste.

"Please." She whimpered, barely audible.

Gently, slowly, he nuzzled under her jaw, placing a small love bite under her ear before languidly kissing her lips.

They still felt like they were searing her own, though that only made her press into the kiss more, her hands tightening.

They both jolted when the timer on the oven went off and Discord pulled away, the most ridiculously goofy, sappy, love struck look on his face and he let go to go check.

Fluttershy smiled gently even as the chill of the house ran along her skin. She went to inspect what he'd been making and saw how reddish pink the shortbread was and the whipped cream, the strawberry mix was a deep red. It all smelled familiar but she wasn't sure if it was just Discord's scent invading her senses.

When he finished assembling what seemed to be a strawberry shortcake thing, he smiled and held it out to her. She cocked her brow.

"Dissy, I can't eat normal food."

His smile turned smug. "Just trust me."

She looked at him but didn't hesitate. She trusted him. With the fork, she scooped a bite that had all three ingredients on it and ate, her eyes widening almost immediately at the overpowering sweet yet familiar taste.

She tasted the strawberry, the sugar, the creamy texture of the whipped cream...but it also tasted like Discord's blood.

She looked at the cake again, realizing what he must've done.

"You...you mixed your blood in?"

He nodded. "It seems you can eat it. Good. Won't be able to do that often though, it takes a lot."

She took another bite, and another, each bite making her eyes burn and blur. Feeling touched he'd think of something that crazy...for her.

All she could do after finishing was set the plate down and stare at him as best she could, even with more tears clouding her eyes.

He chuckled, this time wiping them away. "You might have to drink water if you keep crying at that rate. I...I know you can't be Human anymore. Being Human is overrated, but...this way, at least sometimes, you could feel less alone."

A loud bang came from outside, making Discord's eyes dilate and he jerked his body to look out the kitchen window, but the initial jerk had been so sudden he moved his arm harshly and winced, having moved his bad shoulder and it must've been the wrong angle because his shirt began to become soaked with blood.

After a second of looking, he smiled, eyes returning to normal. He looked at her but she swore he looked relieved. "Just some brats throwing rocks at metal trash cans."

She jumped though, immediately pulling his good arm and dragging him to the bathroom to assess the damage since the blood began trickling down his arm. She helped him get his shirt off, trying not to think of how if he wasn't hurt, how intimate it would be.

A good amount of his stitches had reopened, so she gathered the medical kit and began working on his shoulder. She had decided to just redo all the stitches since the others looked to be snapping too. Discord wasn't easy on his body when it was healing, it seemed.

After a bit she had realized he was being very quiet. Worried, she looked and saw a large blush on his face and he gripped his hands together tightly.

"Discord? Does it hurt?" She asked gently, making him look at her in alarm and the blush deepened. Part of her wondered how much blood he had if he was able to blush like that while having lost blood due to food and reopening an injury.

"Ah-no...it's...it's nothing, my Dear." His smile was a bit wobbly.

She rose a brow at him, not believing him for a second, which he must've sensed because he looked away guiltily.

"Want to try that again?" She asked.

Her tone made him laugh breathily and he bit his lip. "Just had an impulse, but I knew if I did it suddenly and without consent, it would make you uncomfortable."

She went silent for a bit, though the look of confusion on her face was obvious. She was pretty sure there wasn't much he could do to make her uncomfortable.

He sighed, having noticed she was having trouble thinking of what it could be. "I had realized...well-I mean...you're mine, but-but not in a way like-like owning. I-uhm-I've never had someone or something that was mine. That-that would-I mean...ohhh there's no way of saying it that wouldn't sound possessive."

She knew what he was trying to say. She smiled. "I understand. But what was the impulse?" She tilted her head to the side, even as he'd covered his face with his good hand.

She swore he'd pass out as his blush got darker, he made a noise. "I wanted to leave a mark on you. But-but I know that's a sign of-of possession for you...so I fought it."

She blushed herself and as she thought, she began wrapping his shoulder. She took a deep breath. "You can leave one. Just-just one!" She exclaimed almost too loudly for her, even though it was normal volume for someone else.

"You sure?" Discord asked quietly, looking at her in awe.

She nodded. "I'm-I'm consenting to one-one Discord-one love bite." She held up her finger to emphasize her seriousness. Her heart was beating wildly, her breath uneven.

She was surprised he didn't laugh.

He searched her eyes and gulped, using his good arm to pull her closer by her lower back.

Fluttershy moved her hair out of the way, tilting her head to expose more of her neck.

She startled at feeling him leave a small kiss right above her collarbone, leaving light pecks up along her neck as his lips traveled up.

Even just by those small kisses, her head began to feel hazy and light, her abdomen clenched.

He nosed at a spot she assumed was supposed to be hard to spot by others, under her jaw, close to her pulse.

She felt nervous, but also...excited? There was a feral part of her, the one so utterly attached to him, that wanted him to. Show the whole World she belonged to him. His only. His Dear.

She took a shuddering breath and gulped. "Go...go ahead, Dissy."

A chill ran down her spine at feeling his hot tongue swipe against the spot, the tongue ring cool in contrast. An open mouthed kiss against it, then she gasped, clenching tightly against him as his teeth sunk in roughly, holding it there and letting go, sucking the bite to relieve the pain he'd caused her, before pulling away, the cold air hitting the spot like snow down her back.

"One...one more..." she whined, not actually meaning to say it.

A shiver wracked her body at the deep growl he released, the breath hot and it vibrated to the soles of her feet.

The next kisses were damp and warm down her neck until he stopped at the junction of neck and shoulder. She yelped out though when he opened his mouth and bit her hard, a growl vibrating down to her chest. "Dis-" she gasped, causing him to let go and lick gently at the wound.

Discord pulled away to look at her face, worry on his face even though his eyes somehow said differently. "I'm sorry, my Dear. I hadn't meant to bite like that."

If Fluttershy was honest with herself, she'd admit how much she felt like a coil. She nodded through hooded eyes. "It'll heal."

Leaning down, Discord nuzzled her cheek, a vast contrast from his previous rough treatment of her neck and shoulder. She saw he did look exhausted still, all he'd done taking a toll on his still healing body.

Him still healing, made her mind drift to a place she didn't want.

Was she immortal now? If that were the case, would she have to watch everyone she loved grow old or die young? If Discord died...would her body shut down or would it find another to drink from?

She didn't even feel the venom in her fangs, but through an impulse, a selfish desire, she latched onto him and sunk her fangs deep into his carotid artery, not letting go even as he stifled a groan of pain.

She didn't want to be alone. She bit as hard as she could, knowing she was probably hurting him.

Fluttershy came to her senses when she felt his hand run through her hair against her scalp. She let go, apologies on her lips until he kissed her gently.

"It's okay, my Dear. It's a weird-but not bad- feeling. What were you panicking about?" Discord asked, caressing her face.

Her smile was full of conflicting feelings. Happiness, sadness, anxiety. "I can't tell you. But I'm okay now, I promise."

He hummed, playing with some of her hair. "Let's get Chrissy and Sombra and even that cat lover and go Halloween costume shopping soon. We'll see what works for everyone."

She looked at him, puzzled. "Why?"

He shrugged, regretting it almost immediately as it shot pain through him. "Just for some fun. We can go to graveyards, we can watch the others get drunk, we can do costume contests. Scare kids, scare adults. There's plenty to do."

She thought for a bit. Taking long just to see if it would annoy him. It didn't. She giggled. "Is this a trick or a treat?" She batted her eyes at him with a smile.

He got close to her ear, one hand still playing with her hair. "You'll just have to see, now won't you?"

She kept her smile as she leaned more into him, her lips almost brushing his, her eyes hooded. "Don't bite off more than you can chew."

Discord chuckled. "You know I will."

They kissed languidly, like they'd kissed for years.

They both heard the door open and a friendly, familiar voice hollered out if anyone was home. Discord broke into snickers and even through her blush, Fluttershy began to laugh.
