Eijiro watched Katsuki dance his way around the kitchen, humming in contentment. Katsuki shot him a look at the noise but didn't say anything, going back to concentrating on dinner. Soon enough, under his deft hands, mouth-watering smells started wafting into the common room. From the couch Kaminari threw down his controller in a huff, Sero's characters having KO'd him for the eighth time in a row.

Having rage quit for the time being Kaminari slumped his way over to the kitchen, knowing better than to cross the line and actually enter the space least his die a fiery explosive death. He slouched against the breakfast bar, pouting.

Eijiro ruffled his hair. Kaminari smacked his hands away with a whine. For a moment there was no sound apart from the gently sizzling meat and the tinny noise of the games loading screen music.

"Hay Kiri" said Kaminari, breaking the gentle silence. Eijiro hummed to show he was listening, eyes glued to Katsuki's back. His t-shirt was riding up just slightly, revealing a distracting strip of milky skin. "Just what is your Mum's quirk anyway?"

Eijiro turned to the other, blinking in confusion. "What?"

"Your Mum's quirk? All this," Kaminari waved at Eijiro, pointing specifically to his horns and his claws, "was because of her right? So what's her quirk?"

"…It's an animal quirk."

Sero wondered over, curious. Katsuki didn't remove his focus from the food but by the tipping of his head and the pause in his movements Eijiro knew he was paying attention. He suddenly felt nervous under the scrutiny. Just how did he explain this?

"Well, yeah dude, obviously. But, like, what animal? You don't look that animal."

Sero snorted, taking a seat. "Apart from when you go all apex predator in training that is. Still getting used to that."

"Dude, he hasn't even bitten you yet. You know nothing" said Kaminari, lazily waving Sero away. The latter responded to the 'attack', starting a brief slapping war.

"But seriously man," said Sero, finally slapping Kaminari into submission. "You've got horns and claws. What kind of animal is that? Some kind of mutated goat?"

Eijiro burst into unexpected laughter, picturing his Mum as a giant mutated goat. He laughed so much Katsuki actually came over and gave him a few hard thumps on the back. Eijiro met his glaring eyes, whipping the tears from his own.

"Fucking breath Shitty Hair. Dinners ready, sit your ass down."

Eijiro accepted the plate handed to him, moving over to the dining table. The others followed him, Kaminari and Sero staring jealously at his dinner. Katsuki sneered at them, cutting off any whining before it began. By now, the food favouritism that came with dating Katsuki was well known throughout the dorms. Along with Katsuki's explosive response to anyone pointing it out.

Eijiro put a bit of the meat in his mouth, it was almost still raw. Katsuki must have done two dishes to suit his taste. Eijiro felt a curl of warmth in his chest at the thought. He bumped his leg against Katsuki's under the table. The blond glanced at him, eyes still furrowed with an angry scowl. A moment later a socked foot nudged against Eijiro's calf, staying there. He smiled into his food.

"But seriously dude, this new quirk of yours is strange. Have you seen Midoriya lately? I think he's gonna have a breakdown if he doesn't figure it out soon. He keeps stalking you during training. Just give us a hint," said Sero.

Eijiro chewed slowly, stalling for time. "Well, it's not really about my Mum's quirk. Not really."

"What? Dude now I'm even more confused" said Kaminari.

Eijiro scratched the back of his head, "it's kind of hard to explain. But, well, she's actually coming to visit soon."

That caught the others attention, three sets of eyes flashing to the redhead. "What? When?"

"Weekend after next."

"Did Aizawa allow it?" Katsuki scowled, stabbing his stir-fry particularly viciously with his chopsticks.

"Yeah, I got special dis-compensation and stuff. Since, well, cause of everything. The school wants to ask her some questions in case anything else comes up. And, well, she's leaving soon, so there's that."

"Leaving? Like, the country?" said Sero.

Eijiro hummed noncommittally, "something like that."

"So we can see her quirk?" asked Kaminari, looking excited at the prospect.

Eijiro paused, thinking about it. A wolfish smirk curled over his face. Katsuki narrowed his eyes, picking up on the mischievousness flash in his boyfriend's eyes.

"Sure," Eijiro said brightly, "should be fun."
