IS 35
Wyatt found himself in Queensland, Australia on his quest to find the first of the three guys who were genetically altered.
As he exited the airport and got into town he made his way to the local IS research center.
Professor Cedric the lead research says "Why if it isn't Wyatt, I didn't recognize you with those glasses on."
As Wyatt adjusted the black square rimmed glasses on his face, he responds "Yeah it has been a while."
Confused at the lack on enthusiasm, Cedric asked "Why so gloom ,old chum. Where's the same guy who slugged with Dunios."
Wyatt lies and says "It's nothing just a little tired from the flight."
Cedric says "Well come on get excited, you're about to meet our country potential first male pilot."
Wyatt says "Alright lead the way, if there's something I have it's time."
The next thing Wyatt knew he was at a local high school swimming competition with the professor.
Cedric points to a 6'4" blond boy with medium long hair and golden eyes. The professor says "That's our guy , Trent Gibson ."
Wyatt ask "Wow looks like I'll have a male upperclassman next semester."
Cedric corrects him by saying "Most people would think that but he he's only 15, so he would be your underclassman ."
Wyatt looked in shock and thought "It's going to be hard for someone that tall to look up to me."
The swim meet flew by as Trent competed in 3 events and won 2 gold medals for his individual events and a bronze for a relay.
Cedric says "When it comes to athletic's he's a complete monster. So when we found out he could be a potential pilot it was like finding a hundred dollar bill on the floor."
Wyatt asked "Then what's stopping him from join up with you guys and becoming official?"
Cedric says "He said that he won't quit his team, he'll swore that they would be the best and win nationals."
Before he knew it Wyatt seeming vanished as Cedric thought "What is with this kid."
After Trent had gotten changed and was ready to go home , Wyatt walked with him and said "You were pretty great today, especially that 200 yard freestyle."
Trent smiles and says "Thanks." The Australian takes a closer look and ask "By the way do I know you from anywhere?"
Wyatt says "Nope I just have that type of face you would see everywhere."
As Wyatt's stomach began to rumble, Trent grabbed the American's hand and said "Come on I know a good food place you can go to."
Right as they entered a restaurant, a woman says "So how was the race , Trent?"
Trent says "Pretty great mom, I got 2 gold and a bronze medal."
His mom looked at Wyatt and says "Honey can I ask why you brought Wyatt Danforth here?"
Wyatt thought "Well looks like that cover lasted a good 10 minutes."
Confused Trent ask "Wait how do you even know this guy's name?"
At that moment Wyatt and Trent's mother were surprised at how much of an idiot this guy has to be.
Mrs. Gibson says "He's one of those boys that can use an IS , it been all over the news this past year."
As he laughed Trent says "Really , well I barely pay attention so that's probably why. Plus I told you guys , I'm not a pilot , I'm a swimmer."
Wyatt ask "But this is an opportunity most guys your age would kill for. So what got you this passionate about swimming?"
Trent says "It happened when I started high school. These upperclassman told me they're swimming club would be canceled if they didn't improve. So I'm working to help them achieve the dream of a nationals victory."
After several moments to think this over Wyatt says "If that's your reason then stick to it."
Confused Mrs. Gibson asked "Didn't you come here to convince my son to join the academy? So why are you giving up so easily?"
Wyatt responds "You're son is not only good at swimming but he's passionate about it.So I won't treat his dream lightly and make him give it up. But due to the nature of my trip I'm here for the next couple of days, so if you still want to talk I'll be at the docks fishing."
Wyatt left with those words and once he left Trent says "Weird the main reason we came here was to score him some food."
The next day during Trent's lunch break he had to go to the bathroom like crazy and rushed into a stall.
Suddenly he heard two of his swimming upperclassman Ryder and Tanner laughing.
Ryder says "Oh man Tanner I still can't believe how much of a genius you're getting Trent on the team."
Tanner says "I know the tiniest sob story and he joined the team while racking up medals like it was nothing."
Ryder adds "Along with those wins, we're getting a lot more action with the cheerleaders without practicing more than we used to. In fact I think we've managed to slack off more thanks to that giant."
Tanner says "The only shitty thing about him is he's such an over achiever. I mean no way in hell we're ever winning nationals.Even someone as dumb as he should now that's impossible."
Hearing those words awakened an angry in Trent as he left the stall and pushed the two towards the wall.
Frightened by his strength, Tanner begs "Calm down buddy it was just a joke , we knew you were here the whole time."
Ryder says "Exactly why would we ever make funny of our favorite underclassmen."
Trent says "Even if you were, you should never disrespect another man's dreams."
As he let the two go Trent adds "By the way tell the coach I quit and I'll hand over the uniform at the end of the week."
The two looked as the tall guy left the bathroom Ryder says "Great, there goes the chicks and slacking off."
Later after school as Wyatt was fishing at the docks he thought "Man Ichika , how would you handle this. Would you ask for him to quit his dream. Have him join the academy swim team? This is just a pain to deal with."
Suddenly he felt a hand on his shoulder and as he turned around he saw Trent.
Wyatt says "Sup man, don't you have swimming practice to be at."
Trent says "Well the practice wasn't canceled but I decided to quit the team."
Confused Wyatt said "Come on man you said swimming was something you loved and you would win nationals for your school, so why quit."
Trent answers "Turns out they were just using me to boost the club's popularity with chick. No one really wanted to get to nationals. So I guess I'll just become a pilot instead."
In an instant Wyatt smacked Trent and shout "For god sake's is it that easy for you to give up your dream. Just because other people don't believe in you doesn't mean you should give up. In fact that should make you want to prove them wrong."
Trent says "But didn't you say you wanted me to join the academy. Plus there's no way I can make it nationals on my own."
Wyatt says "Yes you can you just have to train even harder. Sure some of the guys might not be serious but if you work hard enough you might help your school qualify."
Trent looks at how emotional Wyatt was acting and says "You know this is the first time you raised your voice and seemed to care about something in front of me."
Embarrassed Wyatt looks away and says "Shut up you idiot, instead of going along with what people tell you , choose what you want to do."
Trent says "I already told you , I want to go to the academy. I feel I might find my fresh start of I go there."
Wyatt says "Just to let you know if even for a second you decide to quit halfway, I'll force you to swim all the way back home from Japan."
Trent says "Trust me once I put my mind to something , I won't give up if things get rocky."
Wyatt says "Well then guess we'll be classmates next semester."
Trent smirks and says "That's the spirit, Mambochiwambo."
Confused Wyatt asked "What in the hell does that mean. Is it an Australian thing."
Trent smiles and says "It's kinda of a phrase I made up. It could mean a lot of things like no worries , be positive or awesome."
Wyatt smirks and says "Okay I get it. Well it's Mambochiwambo for you to join the academy."
The next day after Trent and his folks signed the forms for his transfer to the academy Professor Cedric gave Wyatt an envelope.
The professor says "Miss Orimura wanted me to give you this once you got Trent to join."
Wyatt opened the envelope to see the written message "1 down 2 to go. Next stop Africa."
As Wyatt gave a small smirk he thought "Let's see what person I'm going to meet next."
