Daisy's POV
Tony texted me last night saying, "I'm sending a car tomorrow if you want to come to the Stark Tower. If you don't, Happy's just going to enjoy Blairsville, Georgia." I texted that I'll be ready. That is why right now I am standing with my two suitcases and my 'I heart New York' shirt on because that's where I'll be going today. I see a nice car! I think that's my ride. A man and a woman step out.
"Hello my name is Happy, and this is Pepper." The man says. "But our flight takes off in 30 minutes so let's go."
Pepper looks at my suitcases and says, "I thought you would have brought more."
"You have a washing machine don't you?"
"Yes, but-"
"Great then let's hit the road, jack" I interrupt her as I climb into the car. Happy doesn't hesitate and grabs my suitcases. As we drive off I see Abby with the most confused look on her face, her eyes following the car. I smile big and wave. I sit back in the middle of my seat. My jaw drops as I see the layout of candy, soda, and sandwiches.
"FABADABADOSY!" I yell. "Why in the world do you need all this in a car?!"
"Help yourself." She laughed. I grab a sandwich and a sparkling ginger ale.
"You know my friends don't think sparkling ginger ale is popular or good," I say.
"What?! That's my favorite drink in the whole entire world!" Says Pepper.
"Thank you! Finally, someone who has taste buds. I think we have a lot in common, I like you. Not in a weird way, you're just a good person." I state as I lean back in the reclining seat and take a sip.
Pepper just sits there kind of stunned. Weird, I thought that was a compliment. I wave my hand in front of her eyes.
"Sorry that just felt kind of nice. Thank you" she says placing her hand on her heart. "No really, thank you."
I place my hand on my heart and sarcastically say, "No really, your welcome."
We're walking towards our plane. Happy speed walks in front of me and Pepper. I have my sunglasses and everything on but Pepper is looking me up and down.
I say, "Do I look like a tourist?"
"Not at all" she coughs and looks down then back at me. "I think I figured out why Tony likes you so much. You remind me so much of him."
"I'll take that as a compliment." We board our plane.
"Daisy!" Tony greets me as I walk in.
"You're joking, right? You seriously live here?"
"Home sweet home," he says. "And you look very touristy by the way which is the perfect way to get mugged down here." I look at Pepper while she's holding in a laugh.
"I'll take you to your room," Happy says.
"Thank you, kind sir," I say doing a fancy little bow. Out of the corner of my eye, I see Tony and Pepper giggle as Tony puts his arm around Pepper. "And keep it PG you lovebirds."
I FaceTime Abby because my room is the size of the first floor of my house. She picks up.
"Heeeey girl! I'm at the Stark Tower!" I announce.
"What?!" She says not quite in the tone I was hoping for.
"I was hoping for a more happy, giddy 'what, that's crazy!'" I imitate. "Where are you?"
"I'm at the ice cream shop with Peter."
Peter leans over licking his ice cream. "Hey Daisy, where are you this fine fall day?"
"I'm at Tony's home, in fact, Shakespeare."
Pete's jaw drops and his ice cream plops onto the table. "Are you serious?" he asks.
"Um yeah." I show them my room.
"Ok. I have some really close friends there. Go to the pizza place two blocks down and look for a girl and a guy. I guarantee they'll be there."
"Ok" I assert confusedly ending it. I walk out of the tower and head down the street.
