With the revelation that all of this wasn't a dream, and that she had in fact time-slipped into the feudal era, Kagome allowed herself time to understand the situation presently. If her memory served her any justice, she recalled her encounter with Sesshomaru. But just before she had passed out, he said something.

What was it again?

Oh! I asked him what era it was! Now I remember! She silently congratulated herself, but her smile slipped away as she glanced warily at the girl behind her. She's… a demon?

Although nearly human in appearance, the notable differences were her amethyst eyes and goat-like horns, which protruded in a curved fashion within her braids. Definitely a demon. And as she glided the cloth over her back and shoulders, lathering scented oils into her skin, Kagome didn't feel any sharpness. The woman's claws were trimmed.

How interesting. Was she a servant?

"Where am I?" She asked, her gaze flickering to the assortment of lighted candles placed around the basin, as well as the silver beads which encompassed the tub like a curtain. "How did I get here?"

"My liege brought you here, my lady. The crown prince of Emperor InuTaisho," She further explained. "My lady, the sight was so romantic. He carried you from the forest during that awful storm and laid you in the guest bedroom of his palace. Only after was I instructed to serve you."

It was a mouthful, but the words flowed like honey as she hummed her little tune. Soon enough, she added oils from two ceramic jars at her side and lathered her hair until it shined. The smell was minty.

Crown prince? Was she referring to Sesshomaru? Then again, it made sense. Sesshomaru's entire family was anything but peasants. They were royalty. And yet it wasn't something heavily influenced from her experience in the feudal era. Nothing like this.

Which brought her back to the last thing she heard Sesshomaru say before she woke up here. He said… it's the year 1302 of Emperor InuTaisho's eternal glory…

Lord InuTaisho, which he further explained wasn't deceased. Which meant only one case scenario. This… wasn't the same feudal era as she remembered. Time-slipped was an understatement. This… this was an alternate feudal era, one which borrowed not from Japanese customs but from Chinese.

Does this make sense? A Chinese feudal era? Toga is alive?
