A/N: Happy Mother's Day to all of the Moms out there. Mackenzie is nine in this story.

"Happy Mother's Day Mom." Mackenzie says as she climbs onto Sonny and Lisa's bed.

"Mm thank you." Lisa mumbles still mostly asleep. She looks up to see Sonny walking into the room after Mac carrying a big cup of coffee. "That's for me, right?"

"Yes Ma'am." Sonny chuckles. He sits the mug on the nightstand next to Lisa. "Happy Mother's Day baby."

"Thank you." She says pulling herself into a sitting position. "Thank you two for letting me sleep in."

"Dad said I had to." Mac says as she cuddles under the covers next to Lisa.

Lisa kisses her on the top of the head. "I appreciate it."

"I hope you're ready for a big day." Mackenzie smiles.

Lisa looks between Sonny and Mackenzie. "And what does that mean?"

"Ima let Kenz explain it to ya." Sonny says sitting next to Davis on the side of the bed.

Lisa turns her head to Mackenzie. "Alright Mac, what are we doing today."

"Well first, Daddy made omelets. Then we are going to get ready, and we are going to go get pedicures. And then we are going to get ice cream. Then... we are coming home, and Dad and I are going to make breakfast for dinner."

"Oh my, that's quite the plan Kenzie."

"Thank you." Mackenzie says with a huge smile. "It's going to fun."

"Is Daddy coming with us?" Lisa asks, patting Sonny on the thigh.

"Yes." Mac says

"You're going to make him get a pedicure?" Lisa chuckles.

"Boys can get pedicures too." Mac responds.

"They can." Lisa nods. "But Sonny isn't really the pedicure type of guy."

Mac thinks for a second. "But he will do anything for us." She smiles.

"Ya got me there." Sonny chuckles. "I could probably use a pedicure."

"Good. We are going to have fun today." Mackenzie smiles.

Lisa takes a sip of coffee. "Pedicures and ice cream, who couldn't have fun."

"That's right Mom."

"Shall we go downstairs and eat breakfast ladies." Sonny asks.

"Yes." Mac says and moves toward the edge of the bed. "Are you guys coming?"

"Yes, Ma'am we are. Can ya go down and pour us all some orange juice, please?" Sonny says.

"I can handle that." Mac says before walking out of the bedroom.

"Ice cream and nails?" Lisa laughs.

"Yeah." Sonny chuckles. "She has been plannin this for like a month. She wanted to make sure ya have a good relaxin day."

"She's a good kid. How is our kid so nice?" Lisa chuckles. She sees Sonny nod. "Can you come here, please."

"Oh, ya want me to come over there, do ya?" Sonny chuckles as he shifts and moves closer to her.

"Yes." Lisa says as she wraps her arms around Sonny's neck to pull his face down to hers.

"Ya know she's gonna come back up here if we don't go downstairs." Sonny says as they break apart.

"Fine. Thank you for making breakfast." Lisa says kissing Sonny one last time. "You have to get up for me to be able to get up."

"I know." Sonny chuckles as he sits up.

"What's this?" Lisa asks upon seeing a gift bag sitting on the kitchen counter.

"You have to open it and see, Mom."

"Okay." Lisa says stepping forward and pulling the tissue paper from the bag. First, she pulled out a picture frame containing a picture of Mackenzie, Lisa and Sonny taken at Christmas time. "Aw that's such a good picture."

"It's for your office." Mackenzie tells her.

"It will look great." Lisa smiles. She reaches her hand back in the back and pulls out a jewelry box. She opens the box and smiles at the gold band bracelets she found. "These are so pretty."

Sonny places his hand on her lower back. "Look on the inside of them." He says as he plants a kiss on her temple.

"Okay." Lisa says as she pulls the bracelets from the box and turns them to look at the inside. She reads the first one 8/13/11. She looks at Sonny. "What date is this?"

"The first day we met." Sonny answers.

"How the hell do you remember that?" Lisa laughs.

"Ya don't get to know all my secrets my love." Sonny chuckles.

"Whatever." Lisa says as she reads the next one. 4/30/20 "Well that's easy, that's Mac's birthday." She looks at the third and last bracelet. "And our wedding." She smiles. "Thank you for these Sonny."

"Ah, all I did was pay for them and tell Mac the dates. That was your very smart little girl's idea." Sonny says looking at Mackenzie.

Lisa turns and hugs Mac. "Thank you, Sweetie. Those are beautiful."

"You're welcome Mommy. I'm glad you like them." Mac says.

"I love them. Are you ready to eat breakfast?" Lisa asks as she rubs Mac's back.

"I'm starving." Mac says pulling away from Lisa to sit at the table.

Sonny opens the door to the nail salon for Mac and Lisa to walk through. "Right this way ladies."

"Thank you, babe." Lisa says as she pats his side. "How much are you dreading this?"

"I have survived much worse stuff over the years." Sonny chuckles.

When they reach the chairs, Mac turns to Lisa. "Mom you can sit between Dad and I."

"Oh, can I?" Lisa says trying to keep a straight face.

"Yep." Mackenzie says she settles into the spa chair.

Sonny leans down to Lisa before he sits down. "Little Davis comin out to play."

"You say that like it's a bad thing." Lisa smiles.

"No Ma'am. I wouldn't have it any other way." Sonny smile as he settles into the spa chair on the other side of Davis.

"Mom." Mackenzie calls and Lisa turns her head to look at her. "Did Dad tell you that I scored three goals at soccer yesterday?"

"He did. He even sent me a couple videos of you playing." Lisa smiles.

"Good." Mac smiles at the news of Sonny keeping Lisa in the loop of her athletic accomplishments. "I miss you when you're gone, but I'm glad he's my Dad. He does a good job."

"He does, doesn't he sweetie. You have no idea how many times since I found out I was pregnant with you that I have said that. He has always taken such good care of me and now of you."

Mac nods in agreement. "Most of my friends Dads can't even cook them dinner or know how to wash their clothes." She pauses for a second, thinking. "And they never come to all the stuff at school or go to all of their games like Dad does."

"He's one of the really good ones." Lisa says. "I'm glad he's the guy I fell in love with."

"How did you know he was the one you wanted to marry?" Mackenzie asked.

"Oh Kenzie, that's kind of a hard question." Lisa lets out a deep breath. "It took a long time for us to feel that way about each other, but he was always my best friend. No one else makes me feel as safe and understood as he does."

"You guys really love each other, don't you? Like fairytale love." Mac says.

"Yeah sweetie, we do." Lisa chuckles. She looks over a Sonny as sees him watching her and Mackenzie. "Can I help you, Quinn?"

"Just enjoyin the moment. Ya know how much I like just watchin ya two." Sonny smiles and reaches for her hand.

"When did we become that couple?" Lisa laughs.

"Ah, uh I'm gonna go with the moment we both accepted we were gonna be parents." Sonny chuckles.

"Mom, look how good my toes look." Mac says looking between her freshly painted toes and Lisa.

"That's a pretty blue Kenzie." Lisa says. "Make sure you don't touch them before they dry."

"Yes Mom, I know." Mackenzie states matter of factly.

"I know, I know Kenz, this isn't the first time you have had your toes painted." Lisa chuckles. There was no denying she was her child.

"Ice cream time." Mac says as the three walk out of the nail salon.

"Yes Ma'am. And which one would you like to go to?" Sonny asks.

"The one on the boardwalk. They have the best ice cream." Mackenzie says as she climbs into the back seat of Sonny's Jeep.

"You know she's right Sonny. One of their milkshakes sounds really good." Lisa says leaning over the center console to kiss Sonny on the cheek.

"To the boardwalk we go." Sonny chuckles.

"Alright Mom, go relax. While Dad and I make dinner." Mackenzie says as the three walk back into their house.

"Are you two sure you're up for that? We can just order something." Lisa says looking between Sonny and Mackenzie.

"Momm. Stop trying to change the plan." Mackenzie groans.

"Geezz okay." Lisa laughs. She turns to Sonny. "Can I at least have a beer while I relax?"

"Yes Ma'am ya can." Sonny pulls her against him and whispers in her ear. "If our daughter wasn't forcin me to cook for ya I can think of an even better way to relax."

"Mmhm. But she is awake and wants to spend the day with me." Lisa counters.

"Yeah, that puts a little kink in that plan, don't it?" Sonny laughs as he releases Lisa from his arms. "I'm gonna get ya that beer. And where would ya like to drink this beer?"

"Um, I guess the back yard since the weather is so nice."

"Here ya are." Sonny says handing her the open beer bottle. "Now go relax before mini-Davis yells at both of us."

"We knew it wouldn't always be rainbows and unicorns raising a strong willed, outspoken and confident girl." Lisa says patting Sonny on the shoulder.

"I love the person she is shapin up to be, but damn she is always on point." Sonny smiles. "Much like another strong willed, outspoken and confident woman I know."

"Maybe you're not wrong about the mini-Davis thing." Lisa smirks. "She'll change the world one day." Lisa says as she opens the sliding door to walk out to the backyard.

"I think we're done, what do ya think Kenz?" Sonny asks when him and Mackenzie finish cooking.

"I think you're right Dad." Mac says looking around at the spread her and Sonny and made. "I want to eat outside. I think Mom would like it."

"That sounds like a mighty fine idea Mac." Sonny agrees. "Let's get everything moved outside and set up then we can wake up your Mom." After Mackenzie and Sonny carry everything out to the patio, Sonny leans down to Lisa and kisses her on the forehead. "Wake up baby, dinner is severed."

"How long have I been asleep?" Lisa asks as she stretches.

"Uh, I would say at least an hour." Sonny smiles as she pulls her to her feet.

Lisa turns and looks at the table. "This all looks really good. Thank you two for making it."

"You're welcome Mom, I hope you like it." Mac says as she takes a set at the table.

"I'm sure I will." Lisa smiles. "And thank you two for today. It was nice to just spend a chill day with my two favorite people."
