Preface: Hello, again! Sorry I couldn't upload last week - let's just say no one was able to look at my stuff. Anyway, this is the third interlude of Minecraft Maniacs RPG, but I have to warn you: even though these two chapters are gonna be pretty long, they're mostly just filler content, but there will be a few plot advancements, too...

INTERLUDE 3
Previously...amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Danny, Liam, and Kevin were summoned to the kingdom of Whisker Haven. Joining forces with the Palace Pets and Knuckles the Echidna, they traveled to several worlds across the multiverse searching for the third and final set of Gadgets of Order, in hopes of exposing the demon Exetior, who was masquerading as Ms. Featherbon. While they were successful in exposing him, he was not defeated completely.
Now...a rejuvenated Exetior prepares to extract his revenge...

Ms. Featherbon tossed and turned in her bed. Her nightmare was doing a rather good job at making sure she did not have a good night's sleep. Right before her, in her nightmare, was Exetior. "We are not done here, Ms. Featherbon," the demon said, menacingly. "Meet me here, and you, your allies, and I shall finally settle this once and for all."
The fairy jolted awake, her eyes opening. The place she was shown was a strange structure made out of dark red bricks, located in a strange, hellish world that seemed to be made out of blocks. Something inside of her told her where this world was, not to mention who should help her…

It was a few weeks after the adventure in Whisker Haven. Well, I guess it was technically the adventure across the multiverse, but you know what I mean. Anyway, my friends and I have gotten the news that we were definitely not going to return to school, at least until the fall. Oddly enough, I was actually upset about it - I guess I just wanted some form of normalcy again.
And so, to get my mind off of it, I decided to invite a few more friends of mine to play with me, Liam, and Kevin. As I waited for the others, I played with Pork Chop a little. "C'mon, who's a tough piggy?" I said, dangling a carrot on a stick in front of him. When the carrot got near his mouth, the pig chomped on it and tried pulling it away from me, and I tried to pull it back. It was honestly a lot of fun - you should try it if you ever manage to get a pet pig.
Suddenly, Liam and Kevin abruptly joined the game, the rabborgs appearing alongside them. "Um, did we walk into something we shouldn't have?" Liam asked, awkwardly.
Hastily, I pulled the carrot on a stick away from Pork Chop and placed it back into my inventory. "Don't knock it 'till you try it," I said, defensively. Suddenly, I felt rumbling coming from underneath the house. "Um, what was that about?"
"Oh, that?" said Kevin. "I've been testing out a custom ender dragon that players can ride on. He's just about fully functional."
I sighed. "So, you guys hanging in okay?" I asked.
"After finding out we aren't going back to school?" asked Kevin. I nodded. "Well, I guess I'm handling it better than I expected."
"Oh, dearest me!" came a new voice. "That sounds terrible!" Turning to our right, we saw a hummingbird dressed as a fairy fluttering by us.
"Well, a global pandemic will do that to ya," said Liam. "Say, what are you even doing here?"
"I have dire news!" said Ms. Featherbon, panicky. "Exetior has returned, and I need your help to defeat him once and for all!"
"Well, we were just gonna play some mini-games," I said, scratching my head, "but that sounds more important! I just hope the others won't be too mad…"
As if on cue, the other friends I was talking about, Greg, Alex, Chachi, and Liz, suddenly showed up. "Hey, Danny!" said Alex. "You ready to go down to the park?"
"Ah, change of plans, guys," I said sheepishly, shrugging. "We're gonna have to go up against that demon Exetior from those…"
"A custom boss fight?" said Liz. "Awesome! We have to start preparing!"

Kevin gave her the 'Sure, let's go with that!' look and typed a command to put us all into Creative mode. While the others started to prepare, he pulled me to the side. "You don't think you should get your dad in on this, do you?" he asked.
That made me think. My dad and I have previously gone to the jungle where the Lavieres lived to help a neighboring tribe of theirs, but he had yet to be involved in anything big like this. Yet at the same time, he seemed like he could be a big help. "Alright, I guess I'll ask him," I said. For a few moments, I went AFK (that's gamer lingo for stepping away while your game's running) in order to ask him. Thankfully, he wasn't piled down by work like he's usually been since this pandemic started, so he logged onto his Xbox and began to join the world.
"So, is he coming or not?" Liam asked once I came back.
"He's on his way over here," I answered. Turning around, I noticed that somehow, Pumpkin, Treasure, Dreamy, and Berry had all entered the house, alongside a yellow pony with a pink mane and a tiara and a tiger cub with a feathered headband, and were now getting acquainted with our guests.
"So you're that little puppy Danny keeps telling me about," said Greg, shaking Pumpkin's paw.
"So he talks about me?" said the puppy. "How wonderful!"
"So these guys just showed up while I was away?" I asked.
"(Uh-huh,)" nodded Spawny. "(Buzzer showed up too, but then he vanished for some reason.)"
By that point, our guests had finished gearing up. It's clear they weren't taking any chances - I saw that they were all wearing diamond armor with all sorts of enchantments on them. I bet they wanted to use netherite instead, but none of us had the betas on the platforms we were on right now.
"I've got a ton of explosives," said Alex, TNT in hand, "so I think I'll be causing the most mayhem here!"
"Well, we'll see!" said Liam, jokingly glaring at him. He noticed that Liz was holding a trident. "A fan of the water, eh?" he said.
Liz swung the trident around. "What? I like 'em more than swords!"
"I've got some Infinity bows and crossbows," said Greg, putting a Multishot enchantment on a crossbow, "and Chachi's got a bunch of swiftness potions!"
"What is it with you and swiftness potions?" I asked.
"What? I like going fast!" Chachi said.
I rolled my eyes and kneeled down on the ground with Liam and Kevin. While the rabborgs transformed into their Deity forms, we were right in the middle of typing the Supafied incantation in the chat when Dad's avatar, a slightly taller Steve with freckles and a serious beard, walked into the room, watching as our special armor appeared on our bodies. "So, is this some kind of housewarming party?" he asked.
"I wish!" I said. "We're preparing to go to war! Get your inventory ready!"
My dad began to prepare, using the anvils nearby to enchant his gear. "Thank you very much for offering to help us," Ms. Featherbon said over his shoulder.
"I've been waiting for an opportunity anyway," said Dad, placing the newly-enchanted chestplate onto his body.
At that moment, the last member of our party showed up, appearing out of midair. "Apologies," said Buzzer. "Knuckles was rather hesitant to trust me with the Chaos Emeralds." He took out the seven multicolored gemstones and handed them to Ms. Featherbon.
"Perfect! Now we'll be in top fighting form!" said Treasure, clapping her paws. "C'mon, Ms. Featherbon! Hyper Mode us, please!"
My dad finished preparing his gear. "Hyper Mode? What's Hyper Mode?" he asked.
"Not too sure," responded Kevin. We watched as the Chaos Emeralds began to circle around Ms. Featherbon. She clasped her feathers together, and magical spheres began to shoot out from them, causing the emeralds to spin around a lot faster.
Suddenly, light shot out of the emeralds and covered all six Palace Pets, creating a ring of stars that twirled around each of them (except Pumpkin, she got a purple aura around her; probably related to her connection to the purple emerald). "My, it's been quite a while since I've felt this way!" said Berry, watching the stars spin around.
I looked down at Pork Chop, and saw that he also had stars spinning around him. "Alright, Porky!" I said, high-fiving his hoof. "Well, I think we're all set!"
"Of course! We're wasting time!" declared the fairy. "Everyone, follow Buzzer to where our adversary awaits!"
Buzzer took the lead, and we all followed him out of the house and into the town square. All sorts of players from across our school district were congregating as we walked. "Pardon us, everyone!" said Petite the pony. "We have a mission at hand!"
"Yeah! Clear the way! We need all the space we can get!" shouted Chachi, to which I once again rolled my eyes.
Before long, we had arrived at an ever-familiar ring of obsidian blocks with a swirling purple vortex on the inside. After so many strange portals we were going through, seeing a Nether portal was actually a little refreshing. "So, w-we have to go through th-there…?" asked Dreamy, a little scared.
"Looks like it," said Dad. "But I think if you stick with us, we should be good."
"Mike is correct, Dreamy," said Buzzer. "These heroes know what they're doing!"
Feeling reassured by his words, Liam, Kevin, and I all stepped up front with Buzzer. "Date with justice, right this way!" I said, pointing into the portal. And then, we led our militia right into the portal, feeling rather confident that we would make it through.

The ever-familiar view and heat of the Nether hit Liam like a bowling ball as he emerged from the portal. "You'd think that Exetior guy would wait for the new update to do this," he heard Greg muse.
"Oh, dear!" said Dreamy, shuddering. "This place looks like a nightmare!"
"Yeah, that's kinda the point," said Liz, keeping her trident at the ready. "But stick with us; one misstep, and you'll fall face-first into lava!"
"Not really helping her feel better," Sultan said back. The gang carefully began to walk across the fields. Thankfully, the area was lit up rather well, although there was still the odd patrol of zombie pigmen here and there.
"You really do not want to hit those dudes," Liam told the Palace Pets, pointing with his arm cannon. "If you don't they'll leave you alone."
"At least there's no Overworld mobs to worry about!" added Danny. As if the universe decided to contradict him, he then crashed face-first into a black figure. Thankfully, it wasn't a gangerman, just a normal enderman sitting on a cliff and enjoying the scenery, but even then, he quickly motioned the others to move away before it could turn around.
Finally, the gang arrived at the place where Exetior instructed Ms. Featherbon to meet him. "An old abandoned Nether fortress," said Liam, surveying the structure. "Perfect spot for a battle."
"Hmm, I don't see Exetior," said Pumpkin. "Maybe he forgot to show up?"
"Maybe he didn't!" a familiar voice boomed. As if summoned, Exetior burst out of the ground of the Nether fortress, befitting a demon located in a hellish landscape. "Well, it seems you have all prepared accordingly for my new .exe army," the demon boomed.
"Enough, Exetior!" cried Ms. Featherbon, firing a blast of magic right in the demon's face. "We must settle this now!"
"Fine! You forced my hand!" Exetior held his pointy arms out, and his new .exe army emerged from the ground, including a miniature duplicate of the Ancient Guardian that Danny and Liam faced back in the seas of the Unikingdom, the notorious King Creep, Sonic the Hedgehog, Kirby, and worst of all, Doppel. All of them had pale gray skin and black eyes with blood dripping from them, as had become a staple with the demon's .exe clones.
"Wow. You really went all out, eh, Exetior?" said Danny.
"Indeed I did," replied the demon. "As for you, Ms. Featherbon…" His body began to change appearance, condensing and shifting until he resembled the hummingbird fairy, with the usual ghostly appearance.

Ms. Featherbon gritted her teeth and began to rack her brain for the defensive spells she quickly looked over that morning. They were basic, but with the Palace Pets backing her up, she shouldn't have too much trouble. "You may have a powerful army, but so do I!" she retaliated. "Everyone, charge!"
And so, everyone screamed a huge battle cry and charged at the .exe army. Swords slashed, magic blasts were fired, duplicates were produced, arrows were launched, stars were spat, paws scratched, and potions were tossed as the savagery began.
Liz impaled the Ancient Guardian clone with her trident, who retaliated by shooting his spikes at her. "Oof! These guys are pretty tricky!"
"Tell me about it!" agreed Alex. Whenever he fired a firework rocket at the King Creep clone with his crossbow, miniature TNT blocks would fly out of the clone's scepter, making it tricky for the others to attack.
Exetior and Ms. Featherbon each fired magic blasts at one another, locked in a pushback duel. "I must admit, you are quite a tough fighter for someone with little defensive ability," stated Exetior as he stared the fairy deep in the eyes.
Ms. Featherbon peeked over Exetior's shoulder as she blasted him. She could see Sultan and Treasure carefully climbing up the Nether brick wall, preparing to pounce on Exetior. "Well, I also have a delightful backup!" she declared. As she said that, the two friends pounced onto the demon, bringing him down to the ground.
Seeing an opportunity, Liam aimed his arm cannon and fired at Exetior as he fell right on top of Petite before turning his own on the Doppel clone. "Man, even in his normal form, that gangerman is tough!" Liam mused.
"You didn't face him like that?" said Mike in disbelief, hastily munching on an enchanted golden apple to regain his health.
"Dad, I told you about this already!" gritted Danny, coming off as cross due to his focus. Suddenly, purple gas spread towards where the two were standing, causing their controls to be disabled. "Rats! Not this again!" Danny said.
Diving out of the way, Pork Chop tackled the Kirby clone, which Kevin and Greg were fighting. With the puffball imposter incapacitated, Kevin was able to recognize Danny's predicament. "Greg! Shoot me some arrows!" he instructed.
"Seriously?" said Greg in disbelief.
"Just do it!"
Reluctantly, Greg drew his bow and began shooting arrows in Kevin's direction. Kevin inhaled every single arrow, munching them up into a star bullet before spitting them at the Doppel clone. The alien replica fell to the ground, freeing Danny and Mike from the inhibiting acid.
"Thanks, man!" said Danny. He looked around at the mayhem unfolding. "Say, where's Chachi?" he asked.
"Last I saw he ran off with that Sonic imposter!" stated Pumpkin. The puppy was cooperating with the rabborgs to assist Alex with the King Creep duplicate through some strange form of interpretive dance.
Liz tossed her trident right at the Ancient Guardian clone, finally vanquishing the aquatic fiend. She began eating a golden apple. "Man, you guys really went all-out with this boss fight!" she sighed, catching her breath.
"What we really need is something to shake things up," added Alex, putting his shield up to deflect more TNT blasts. Suddenly, out of the corner of his eye, he saw an incredibly familiar white cuboid ghost with long tentacles and an eternally negative outlook on life, floating within a small crack in the Nether's landscape.
Liam noticed the floating creature, too. "Watch out, guys!" he shouted, not breaking from firing his arm cannon at the Doppel dupe. "There's a ghast at 12:00!"
"(Yeah, I see it!)" said Spawny, catching his breath. Suddenly, his eyes opened alongside the ghast's as the creature shot a fireball. That was heading right towards the Palace Pets.
"Not so fast!" cried Alex. He ran right in front of the fireball and prepared to deflect it...when suddenly, his controller died. So instead, he took the full blast from the fireball.
[BGM: Pause]
Exetior picked up his head and saw that the Palace Pets had all stopped fighting to look over Alex's collapsed body. "Wait, stop everyone!" he called his army. "Let them grieve."
Berry carefully took Alex's hand. "That was very brave of you," she said, solemnly. "I'll never forget you for what you did."
"C-can I just t-talk to Liam?" Alex coughed out. At his request, Liam stepped right up to the player and bent down so he could hear. "My mom's calling me," Alex said. "I'll be back in a bit." After that, his body vanished into a puff of smoke.
Dreamy wiped her eyes, tears forming in them. "I can't believe we lost someone," she said, beginning to cry.
Kevin rolled his eyes. "They do know he's gonna respawn, right?" he said to Danny.
"Of course not," Danny responded, his harsh tone telling Kevin to be delicate with the pets. He looked back at the ghast. "But it does give me an idea."
Doppel hovered over the Palace Pets. "How sad…" he said, tauntingly. "You lost a little friend." He raised his transformed state's feathers and prepared for his .exe army to attack again. "How about you join him?"
[BGM: Resume]
With the demon right in position, Danny shouted to the ghast, "Hey, crybaby! Cheer up!" Agitated, the ghast spat yet another fireball at Danny...or rather, Exetior in Danny's way. And the demon looked up too late to realize it.
"Owww!" shouted Exetior, collapsing to the ground.
"Quick! While we have the chance!" shouted Petite. The pony smooshed Exetior's tiny head with her hoof as the other Palace Pets dog-piled right on him.
"We have him down!" shouted Treasure, being the last on the pile. "Take care of those other meanies!"
Kevin tapped Danny on the shoulder. "Go find Chachi. We got this." Danny gave a thumbs-up and ran away from the battlefield, after which Kevin turned towards Greg. "Come with me!" he said, taking his hand and running towards the herd of zombie pigmen. Noticing that the Kirby clone had begun to follow them, Kevin motioned Pork Chop to come with him and Greg, to which the pig obliged.
"Where are we going?" asked Greg as Kevin pulled him along.
Kevin looked at Pork Chop, and then at the pigmen. "Shoot them."
"Oh, this again?"
"Just do it!"
Rolling his eyes, Greg knocked another arrow and shot the nearest zombie pigman. Right away, the entire herd turned their heads towards the two. "Nice plan, Ke-!" But before he could finish, Kevin pulled him away just as the Kirby clone caught up to them.
Sensing his opportunity, Pork Chop ran in front of the pigmen horde and held his hooves up. "(The one with the bow was not the one who attacked you,)" he said in pig-speak. "(It was the round one.)"
The lie registered in the rotten brains of the half-dead pig humanoids and they instantly turned on the Kirby clone. Before he could inhale the ready, waiting Greg and Kevin, the puffball imposter was trampled by the pigmen before being left at the mercy of their golden swords. "See? That was my plan!" Kevin explained.
"Wow. You need to work on your communication skills," replied Greg.
Back at the battlefield, the others were cooperating to take down both Doppel and King Creep. Spawny and Spawnette began to create more reproductions to distract the two duplicates, while Liz and Alex dealt the big damage. Liam and Mike stood in the middle, preparing for the inevitable. "Is it about ready to go?" asked Mike.
Liam aimed his arm cannon at King Creep, distracted by the miniature Spawnettes and Alex's TNT. "Now!" he cried, shooting the blast. When King Creep retaliated with his own scepter blast, Liam leapt out of the way, and Doppel took the full blast. But when he looked up to survey the damage, Liam noticed that Mike had vanished.
"Um, I think he got hit by that weird control-disabling gas," explained Liz. "He's dead now." She tossed her trident at King Creep one last time, finally sending the duplicate to wherever the real deal was. "So what now?"
"Now, we wait for Danny to get back," explained Liam. He turned towards the Palace Pets. "Everything okay over there?"
"Hopefully, yes!" responded Ms. Featherbon. She had used a strength-enhancing spell to help keep Exetior down.
Liam nodded and looked out in the distance. Kevin, Greg, and Pork Chop were coming back up the hill. I just hope Alex and Danny's dad come back soon, he thought. Hopefully in a pretty big way…

With the Swiftness portion of my Supafied form, I was easily able to catch up to Chachi. The Sonic clone was still trying to catch him from behind. "Hey! How long have you been going at it?" I asked.
Chachi gasped. "Let's just say I'm about out!" he shouted. He looked behind us and saw that the Sonic clone was getting pretty close. "I think I'm about to let him catch me!"
"Nope! Let me take over! I've got an idea!" At my request, Chachi stopped running and I shot a laser right at the Sonic clone. Immediately, he turned his attention away from Chachi and began chasing me. I just started running, trying to make sure I wasn't caught. I still kept my sword in my hand in case he got close.
At the back of my mind was the enderman looking out across the cliff. I remembered exactly where it was, and I remembered that I had a few ender pearls on me. "A-ha! There he is!" I shouted, once we got close. It was really just luck that it hadn't teleported away during the battle. I tossed the ender pearl towards an area near the battlefield, lifted up my creeper mask, leapt off the cliff, and stuck my tongue out at the enderman. The creature opened its mouth and began to hiss, a sign that it no longer liked me, right as I teleported away.
My face was full of the sooty smell of netherrack as I reached my destination. I didn't suffer too much damage, but I was still a little disoriented. Picking myself up, I saw that my plan had worked perfectly - the enderman thought the Sonic dupe was the one who aggravated it, and the hedgehog's faker began to be swarmed quickly. Before long, the enderman had vanquished him once and for all.
Chachi ran up to me, having seen the spectacle. "Wow! That was clever!" he complimented. "Now c'mon! Let's get back to-" But he never got to finish. The enderman was still hostile, so it teleported right in Chachi's way and began to...well, I guess what it did doesn't matter, because the editor just blanked my mind again. That's right. This wasn't the first time.
[BGM: Pause]
Anyway, I ran back to the battlefield. I was rather impressed by seeing that all the other clones had been defeated. "Wow! Guess I missed quite a party!" I said, rejoining Liam and Kevin. "Say, where's my dad?"
Sultan sighed, solemnly. "Listen, about him…"
"He was killed helping me get rid of Doppel and King Creep," Liam suddenly interrupted.
Rather than the tearful reaction Sultan was expecting, I simply shrugged and said "Well, I'm sure he and Alex will be glad to hear we won."
"(But what happened to Mr. Chachi?)" Spawnette asked, dusting off her dress.
I raised my hand to answer, but paused. "That's weird," I said. "I just felt like the editor blanked my mind." See? There was the first time! Suddenly, I felt a rumbling. From behind me. I turned around and watched in horror as Exetior emerged from the ground once more, back into his normal form, but with a white coloration and much, much bigger.
[BGM: Resume]
We felt his heavy breath as he looked down on all of us. "You really thought I was gonna allow such an embarrassment like that to stick?" he boomed. "Don't make me laugh! It's payback time!" Once again, he raised his hands, and we put our weapons up, expecting more .exe clones.
But then, I don't know how, but I could feel my character get an absolutely splitting headache! And my screen was filled with nothing but icons of the demon himself. I simply closed the iPad. Right when we thought we would've won, we lost. As if the universe wasn't putting us through enough crap in real life. I just sat on my mom's bed, waiting for the results.
That was when I heard a roar. It wasn't a roar in Exetior's voice - it was a dragon roar. Quickly, I reopened the iPad and watched my screen return to normal as a duplicate of the ender dragon flew right into the field...with my dad and Alex riding it!
Exetior was hit right in the face by the dragon, releasing us all from his control. "I thought you idiots got killed!" he boomed.
"It'll take a lot more than that to kill us!" declared my dad. Alex pointed his hand out, and the dragon began to breathe ender acid at Exetior, blinding him.
Buzzer flew out of Kevin's inventory, carrying the Purifier. "This is our chance, everyone!" he shouted. "Put all your energy into it!"
I turned to Liam and Kevin, and they gave me a nod. As Kevin took the Purifier, we placed our hands onto the rifle and saw our Supafied forms vanish as the power gauge went up.
"(Don't leave us out!)" said Spawny. He and Spawnette put their hands onto the Purifier as well, and they reverted back to their normal states as the power gauge went up more.
"C'mon, everybody! They need more power!" Ms. Featherbon declared. Kevin placed the Purifier in front of him, and next thing we knew, the Palace Pets and Pork Chop's Hyper Modes were the next to power the device.
"Say, what even is that?" Liz asked, walking up to Kevin. Curiously, she placed her hand onto it. We all watched as the experience orbs she must've garnered from the .exe army float into the Purifier.
"Hey, it's just like Dr. Fox's robot!" said Liam. "Everyone! Put your experience points in!"
I saw that Exetior was slowly getting the upper hand against Dad and Alex. "And hurry! Doesn't look like they can hold him much longer!" Quickly, Greg, Kevin, Liam, and I placed our hands onto the Purifier and watched as our experience bars depleted, sacrificing our levels for ultimate victory.
"Incredible!" declared Buzzer, watching as the Purfier slowly began to flash several colors. "I thought it wasn't possible for the Purifier to gain power beyond Hyper Mode under normal circumstances!"
"What do you-" I began, but then I heard a roar of defeat. Exetior had finally brought the ender dragon down, and boy was he in a rage.
"You've done enough damage!" he shouted, finally reaching his breaking point. "It's time for you to-"
"Die?" interrupted Kevin. "Nah, I think it's the other way around!" At the final word, he activated the Purifier. I watched with eager eyes as the device fired the combined Chaos energy, Supafication energy, magic energy, and experience points right in the demon's angry face. With one last roar, my screen filled with white.
I collapsed on the bed, victorious. It was a long and grueling fight, but we did it. If Exetior returned after this, I would think I was dreaming.

Buzzer allowed the white flash to fade from his vision. Looking around, he saw that the players and their allies were adjusting to normal vision as well. "Ho-ly cow!" shouted Liz, excitement growing in her voice. "That was awesome! You guys rule at custom boss fights!"
Danny smiled. "I appreciate the compliment, but we didn't make this ourselves," he confessed. "This was all happening, no mods or command blocks."
"Wow…" said Greg. "That makes it even cooler!" But then, he noticed how low his health and food bars were. "Wow, we really gotta eat, guys!" Everyone began to munch on pork chops, bread, apples, and baked potatoes in order to heal from the battle.
Buzzer chuckled. "I'm delighted you're all satisfied with your victory," he said. "And based on my senses, Exetior is definitively defeated. There is no natural way he should come back now!"
Ms. Featherbon breathed a sigh of relief. "That's good to know. I am still having nightmares about my kidnapping." Joyfully, she joined the Palace Pets as they all put their hands together. "Hearts, hooves, paws!" they all cheered.
Mike tapped Danny on his shoulder. "So this is sort of what you've been doing since December?" he asked.
Danny nodded. "And now, we don't quite know what to expect!" Looking down, he saw Chachi trudge his way up the hill. "Sorry, Chach! You missed all the excitement!" Danny said. "You're okay, though, right?"
"Well, I'm not quite sure what the heck happened…" said Chachi, exhausted. "But I'm glad we all won!"
[Location Change: Public World, Town Square]
Shortly afterward, the players all returned to the Overworld, seeing off the Palace Pets. "(It was a pleasure to fight by your side once more,)" Spawnette said, shaking Pumpkin's hand.
"(Yeah! You rule!)" added Spawny.
"Thanks, but I couldn't have done it without…" Pumpkin began.
"That awesome Chaos Emerald?" Sultan interrupted.
"Well, yes, but I was gonna say my friends!" Everyone chuckled at the exchange.
"You are a very nice partner to have, Buzzer," Ms. Featherbon said, cheerfully. "I hope this isn't the last time we work together."
"Oh, do not worry," responded Buzzer. "We shall be working together again rather soon."
With that, everyone waved goodbye to the Palace Pets and Ms. Featherbon and watched as the fairy summoned a stained-glass portrait that quickly became a portal back to the Pawlace. "Well, that was quite an adventure," said Kevin, stretching. "So, anyone still wanna play a few mini-games?"
Alex smiled, mischievously. "You're on."
"I guess I can play a little longer," added Mike, turning towards the east.
"Race you all to Bed Wars!" Danny shouted, and everyone began running towards the mini games, eager to finally get the playtime they bargained for.
"Have fun, everybody!" Buzzer shouted as they ran off. After making sure that no one was watching, the fly spun around three times and vanished into thin air, leaving nothing but ripples in the fountain.

[Location Change: Angel Island, Hidden Palace Zone]

By this point, Buzzer had been teleporting to the emerald shrine for so long, that Knuckles was not fazed by his sudden appearance. "So, did you win?" the echidna asked, looking up.
"Thankfully, yes," responded Buzzer, handing the Chaos Emeralds back. "I do not think that Exetior will be bothering us again for a long time."
Knuckles chuckled a little and nodded. "Say, last time you never showed me the next world we'll be studying!" he said, remembering the incident after the first time the heroes battled Exetior.
"Ah, apologies!" declared Buzzer. "I decided to wait until the cataclysm passed!" Closing his eyes and focusing, he created a holographic image of the dog-inhabited version of the real world he had been visiting for quite some time. "This world is an alternate version of the real world," he explained. "Not only is it inhabited by dogs with similar DNA to creatures like yourself, but it was created approximately twelve hours prior to the usual time a new dimension is created. Because of this, the final two Chosen Ones should be within this world at the same time."
Knuckles took out his scroll. Down at the bottom, there were the faces of four dogs that looked to be mobians - two of them were blue-furred, and the other two were orange-furred. "Interesting," he said. "Will you and those blocky guys be going there soon."
"Of course. But the method we'll be using is a little unorthodox…"

After the previous day's exciting events, you decide to relax a little in your private world and do a bit of mining. A nice, normal, ordinary Minecraft activity. You grab your pickaxe, pack some food, wood, and torches, and hop into your minecart that leads to your mine.
The relaxing trip takes a sudden turn, however, when you arrive. As you hop out of your minecart and prepare to enter the cave, you see a strange hole in the ground. And it's pitch-black. With little green ones and zeroes.

Next chapter: "Overture of the Blue Heelers" The "Spark of Error" arc makes its first shocks as the players are sent to the world of a certain Australian icon. But they aren't here on easygoing terms - they're here to save a couple of important figures. Thankfully, Smith the villager's already on the job, but will Danny, Liam, and Kevin manage to make it out regardless? Find out in this special extra length chapter...for real life!
Postface: Chapter complete! I actually used to sorta not like this chapter - mostly because it created a bit of conflict between me and my parents when I originally wrote it. I'm not gonna go into it, but let's just say I hope the Palace Pets weren't watching...
Anyway, some new faces pop up in this chapter! In addition to Chachi returning from Chapter 11, Greg, Liz, and Alex are some more characters based off of my real-life classmates, included just as a little shout-out to them! They were some of the original readers, after all! Chachi's depiction was actually partially chosen by his real-life inspiration, too! As for why I lacked descriptions of their skins, I figured if their real-world counterparts were reading this, then they'd want to imagine it for themselves. In addition, if you've been keeping track of my itinerary, this is sorta where some of my one-shots begin to blend with my main stuff...do you know which ones? If not, then the stories I'm thinking of are "The Nintendounas Tribe" and "Scientific Progress Goes 'Zzzp'!". I recommend you check them out, in addition to my other one-shots - one of the earliest ones will reveal the twist next chapter, though...
