Chapter Thirty-Five

Sasuke glared heavily at the enemy before him.
Though this only seemed to amuse her.
Perhaps if I play with him a little...
I can learn the full extent of his powers!
She laughed to herself as she called back the beast she had summoned.
He whipped a Kunai from his holster and clenched the blade tightly between his teeth.
A long time ago...I lost my entire clan in a single night...except for my sister...
He thought to himself.
But then...I lost my twin sister in a mere day...
It was during that moment of regret...
He blinked as he took in the image of his sister who lay resting with her eyes closed in a near by tree.
That was the moment I truly lost everything...
He thought to himself.
Up to this point...all I cared about was surviving...in order to defeat my brother...
Who took it all from me.
What a fool I've been...I see the truth now...
Naruto...
Sakura...
...Saseme...
If I haven't the courage to face demon...then how can I ever hope to face him!?
He charged in head strong, throwing weapons every which way which she dodged with ease. That didn't matter to him...it was merely the beginning of his plan.
"AAAUUURRRGH!" he let out a roar of a battle cry as he kicked un and swung his fists, each move blocked as the fought. SHe moved too fast for him. But not too fast for his eyes.
I can see...
He thought to himself as he registered each move she made.
I can see!
A straight shot of fire blew from his lips.
Fire Jutsu was a common tactic of the Uchiha clan...
Even Saseme has mastered a few moves with it of her own.
Enveloped in a tornado of flames, it didn't stop her. She shot straight on for him, and he jumped back just out of her reached, standing battle ready once again...awaiting her next move.
...You're good...~
She thought to herself.
You anticipate my attacks and your aim is true...
You can see my moves...can't you?
She shot a powerful strike against him but it missed...and he got her from above.
"Yes!" Sage grinned, "Saseme your brother kick ASS!"
"Maybe...but did he have to do it so...violently?" asked Hana.
Sasuke had slammed the woman down hard, head first. There was no way she survived. Her neck was clearly snapped. As he released her, ready for a reprieve...
It turned out the battle wasn't over yet after all.
"Huh?" Sasuke blinked as the woman's body shook violently and began to morph into some kind of liquidated substance.
"Substitution!" he cried out, slice a few times over by a couple of senbon needles, he leapted from the limb he stood and swung his way through the trees by wire, and out of the darkness she appeared swinging, kicking, punching, knocking him back and over until he fell off balance.
"Scratch that your brother is getting his ass kicked!" Sage gulped, "Now would be a really good time to wake up you know!?" he whimpered, "Any time really-just saying-no pressure or anything!" he said, lightly shaking her in hopes of getting some form of a rise.
"Sasuke!" Sakura cried as the woman stepped closer to his hunched over body.
"...What a disappointment you turned out to be..." she hissed, looking down upon him with contempt, "Perhaps I have a better shot with the sister..." she blinked, "She's weaker...but that's something that can be fixed..." she shrugged, "Your ancestors weep...The Uchiha Clan should thank me for killing you off..." she grunted, "...Silly little worm..."
Sasuke's body twitched and his eyes slowly open, right on cue for the explosion of the flash bombs he had planted on the woman's back. Right into his trap, she walked, startled by the shock wave.
"You won't touch my sister!" he barked, "Not so long as I'm around and have anything to do about it!"
"M...mmh... Sa...Suke..." Saseme grunted, and slowly her eyes came to open as well.
"Hey, she's waking up!" Sage sighed in relief.
"Hmph...it's about time." Hana huffed.
Sasuke let out a growl as he tossed multiple weapons around her, each was attached to wire that he had tied to his fingers, and clenched between his teeth. Pulling the wire tight he had the woman bound to a tree, grunting in her struggle as he clapped his hands together and began weaving signs.
Fire Style: Dragon Flame Jutsu!
Following the wired path that he had set, the flames shot right toward his target, burning through her, and the tree she was bound to. She let out a shrieking scream...there was no way she could have made it out so easily.
"He did it!" Sakura beamed as the woman lay grunting and steaming in her trap. The boy hunched over, panting.
"Sasuke!" Sakura beamed as she ran to his side, "You did it!" she stated, though his condition could have said otherwise.
"Are you okay?" she asked, "Don't worry...it's all over."
Or so she thought.
Like nothing, the woman snapped the wires that bound her and began walking toward them once again.
"Dammit does this bitch not know how to die or what!?" Sage huffed.
"Oh no, Sasuke!" Saseme called out, struggling to stand to her feet, but she couldn't maintain balance.
"You're no good to anyone if you can't even walk." said Hana.
"B-But my brother-"
The woman clasped her hands together and suddenly Everyone fell numb.
"Unh...AGH!" Saseme grunted, and her eyes were forcibly activated once again.
"N-No...impossible!" Sasuke grunted.
"...Such mastery of the Sharingan at such a young age..." The woman said softly, though her voice began to change heftily in tone,
"Remarkable...the both of you are true Uchiha after all..."
"H-Hold on..." Sage grunted, "Is this bitch...a MAN!?" he asked as the masculine tone shone all the way through.
"Yes..." he chuckled, a sharp eye leering through burned away flesh..., "You'll do nicely..." he focused his gaze one Sasuke, The skin he wore peeling away.
"You are defintiely siblings of his...there's no doubt on that..." the man chuckled, "If anything both of your eyes may even be keener than Itachi's..."
Saseme twitched.
Who IS this bastard!?
She thought to herself, unable to speak in her weakened state.
How does he know about Itachi!?
"Who are you!?" Sasuke asked, "What do you want!?"
The man chuckled as he tossed the Heaven scroll that was once in Sasuke's possesion, around in his hand.
"My name...is Orichimaru." he chuckled, "But as to what I want...that will have to wait until we meet again~" he grinned, "Which won't happen until you finish this test with the best score of all."
"The Scroll!" Sakura gasped as it began to get swallowed up in flames by his hand.
"First...you will have to defeat the Hidden Sound Ninja who serve me~" said Orochimaru.
"I have no idea what you're talking about!" Sakura snapped, "But if you're finished why don't you just beat it!?" she huffed, "If we never meet again, it will be too soon!"
"Oh...he and I will meet again." Orochimaru chuckled as he shifted his gaze toward Saseme who leered at him as well with Sharingan activated eyes, "...One way...or another." he smirked as he clasped his hands together, and his neck began to stretch out rapidly toward the Uchiha girl who couldn't yet move.
"No, Saseme!" Sasuke gasped as he began to move quickly to protect her-Which was exactly what Orochimaru wanted-after all-Sasuke was his true target.
The boy let out a pained cry as sharp teeth sunk deep into his neck.
"Sasuke, No!" Sakura and Saseme cried out together as he grasped at his neck grunting painfully.
"Sasuke!" cried Sakura, "YOU!" she snapped toward Orochimaru, "What have you done to Sasuke!?"
"Sasuke!" Saseme called to him, struggling to stand though her body didn't seem to function properly, "What have you done to my brother, you sick bastard!" she screamed.
"Calm down Saseme!" said Sage, "You're a wobbly mess right now!"
"Oh, worry not sister dear~" Orichimaru ckackled, "For I am sure This won't be the last I see of you either~" he smirked, "After all...it always does one good to have a back up ready..."
"What!?" Saseme snipped.
"Fear not for your brother, however~" he chuckled, "For I just gave him a little parting gift~"
Saseme gasped and shot a glance toward her brother, now kneeling and hunched over in pain.
"Very soon, Sasuke will seek me out~ He'll desire my power~" he chuckled, "In the mean time...I enjoyed the demonstration of the powers the two of you already possess~" he chuckled as he sunk away...disappearing into the tree...his presence completely removed from the vicinity. This time...he was really gone...and all that was left was Sasuke's blood curtling scream.
"Sasuke!" Saseme and Sakura cried together. The pinkette ran to him meanwhile the Uchiha female couldn't rise and only fell into her team mates arms.
"What is it!? What has he done to you!?" asked Sakura.
"My brother...my brother what's wrong with him!" Saseme cried, "Is he all right!?"
"Saseme you need to calm down!" Said Sage, "You're in no better position than him right now to be moving around!"
"B-But my brother-"
"Saseme!" Sage huffed as the girl struggled hard to crawl to him if she could. SHe couldn't. All she could do was watch as her brother writhed in pain until he fell unconscious against Sakura's chest.
"SASUKE!" Saseme cried, but soon, her eyes too, faded over, and she fell unconsciously once again.
