Chp. 36: Supremacy

Earth

Harrison, Arkansas, USA

House of Salem

Back on Earth, Emerald and Mercury were watching the news in the living room as Cinder ordered believing something of use would benefit Salem's plans.

"A shocking event occurred on the 25th of May in Minneapolis, Minnesota as a forty-six year old black man, George Floyd was pulled over for using a counterfeit twenty dollar bill at a store," a news anchor reported. "What happens next is quite shocking and disturbing."

The screen shows footage of a police officer pinning the man known as George Floyd to the ground with the officer's knee on the side of George's neck.

"I can't breathe! I can't breathe!" George cried.

"The guy wouldn't be talking if he can't breathe. Besides, the officer doesn't even have his knee on his throat," Mercury said. "Believe me, my old man has told me about stuff like this."

Emerald rolled her eyes and started to take notes of the news story on a notepad.

"The white officer had him pinned down for four minutes until he passed out, and when paramedics arrived at the scene, Floyd was pronounced dead," the anchor stated.

"Okay, how did this guy die? Please be descriptive," Mercury said.

The screen displayed the city at night as large angry crowds of people were trashing and looting buildings with several fires in the streets and buildings.

"As a result, riots and protests have broken out in various cities in the U.S. ever since the death of George Floyd believing that his death was an action of a white cop killing a black man," the anchor said.

"I'm surprised this world is still standing after going through stuff like this," Mercury said.

"That's because this world doesn't have Grimm, remember?" Emerald said.

"I know that. I'm just saying even without the Grimm, these people somehow find ways and excuses to cause a lot of chaos," Mercury said.

The two heard footsteps approaching them. They turned and saw Tyrian with a piece of paper in his hand.

"What is it, now?" Mercury asked.

"The good doctor wants you two and Hazel to go to town and get all of this stuff on the list," Tyrian said, handing the list to the young assassin. "He also said to make sure that you all wear something that won't attract any unwanted attention."

"Why can't he do it?" Emerald asked.

"He's turning that garage into his personal lab and he is waiting for parts and his equipment to get here from our world," Tyrian explained.

Emerald and Mercury look at the list as Tyrian walks away.

Meanwhile outside of the garage, Salem, Cinder, and Adam all waited outside the garage door. In the driveway, a bright light appears in the middle of it. A moment later the light dies away and Doctor Merlot stood in its place. He walks up to the three.

"What have you to report, Merlot?" Salem asked.

"The White Fang have managed to steal an SDC frater with the new Dust. Along with several weaponry the SDC uses for security. They'll be here within fifteen minutes," Merlot explained.

"Anything else?" Cinder asked.

"The White Fang discovered a heavily guarded facility where all of the new Dust is being stored. They said all of the warehouses all contained this Dust that the SDC had mined. And there are a total of thirty warehouses and more are being made," Merlot said.

"Good. Head back and wait for the White Fang's arrival. When we have preparations ready, the worlds of Earth and Remnant will have reason to turn on each other," Salem said.

Merlot bowed before turning around and walked to the middle of the driveway. He pulls out a small teleporting Dust crystal from his left pocket and a small capsule with a button on it from his right pocket. He stuffed the crystal inside the capsule before closing it. Merlot pressed the button, then dropped the device at his feet. The device then explodes in a bright light. When the light disappeared, the scientist was gone.

The front door to the house opened and out came Emerald, Mercury, and Hazel, all wearing different outfits. Emerald was wearing a pair of black high heels and black leggings. She wore a light green polo shirt and a black beanie over her head with all her hair tucked inside it.

Mercury replaced Talaria with a pair of regular black boots. He wears a pair of black jeans and a black t-shirt with an image of Team RWBY with the team's name below it. He has a grey bandana tied over his head hiding his hair.

Hazel wore a pair of brown boots and a pair of blue pants. He also wears a red flannel shirt with two of the top buttons undone and a tan sun hat.

"We're heading into the nearest town to get some supplies for Doctor Watts," Hazel said to Salem.

"Just make sure you have your masks on. This world is under a pandemic," Salem said.

Hazel nods in response, and then he, Emerald, and Mercury each pulled out a facial mask and then put them on over their faces. They walk up to a white 2013 Chevrolet Express van.

"Shotgun!" Emerald exclaimed.

"Shotgun! Fuck!" Mercury said as Emerald stuck her tongue out at him.

Walmart

A half an hour later, Hazel, Mercury, and Emerald just finished shopping at a Walmart in Harrison, each with a shopping cart with all the stuff that Watts wanted.

"Does he really need all this?" Mercury asked.

"It's what he asked for," Emerald answered.

"Which includes three laptops, six flash drives, four SD cards, four Echo Dots, three desktop computers, four computer monitors, four keyboards, two speakers, a dozen sets of cables, three internet routers, three iPhones, three iPads, two iWatches, six sets of headsets, four web cameras, two printers, and a stupid flat screen TV," Mercury said. "So I'll ask you again. Does the doctor need all of this?"

"My guess is that the moment Watts saw this world's technology, he became crazy obsessed and excited and wanted to turn that garage into a lab and merge all this stuff we've got with his tech back on Remnant.," Emerald explained.

Hazel, Mercury, and Emerald walked up to their van, and once they did, Hazel opened the back doors.

"Help me load this up," Hazel said.

The three began to unload their carts of its contents and load it all in the back of the van. As they continued to load the van, two men walked up to them. The first man wore a black shirt with an image of a skull on it. The second man wore a sleeveless white shirt and a red bandana over his face.

"What have you got there?" the black shirt man asked Mercury.

"Just some tech," Mercury bluntly answered.

"Why do you have these two n*****s with ya?" the bandana man asked, gesturing at Emerald and Hazel.

"What did you call me?" Emerald asked with narrowed eyes.

"You heard me, n***** bitch. Why are you and your giant n***** friend here with one of our own?" the bandana man asked.

"We're not here for any trouble. We were just leaving," Hazel said.

"Not with all that you're not," the black shirt man said, before turning to Mercury. "You shouldn't be with these African motherfuckers here, boy. Now we're gonna have to confiscate all your shit here."

"Are you trying to rob us?" Emerald asked, narrowing her eyes.

"This stuff doesn't belong to you, n*****. Now be a good girl and give up your shit," the bandana man demanded.

"And if we don't?" Hazel asked.

"Then it'll be two less n*****s and on less n***** lover to worry about," the black shirt man answered as he and the other man each pulled out a pocket knife.

Before the two men could react, Mercury swept his leg at the bandanna man's feet, making him fall face first on the pavement as Emerald kicked the knife out of the black shirt man's hand, then followed with a punch to his nose, knocking him to the ground. Hazel grabs the two men by their collars and lifts them off of the ground.

"Leave. now," Hazel ordered, before dropping them.

The two men turned and ran away until they were out of sight.

"Come on. let's finish this up before we attract more unwanted attention," Hazel said to Emerald and Mercury.

The three got back to loading the van.

House of Salem

Back at the house, Salem, Cinder, and Adam watch as the White Fang sets up tents and weaponry in the grassy lawn at the back of the house and brings equipment in the garage. The Albain brothers, Corsec and Fennec approach Adam.

"Our tents are almost set up and the dust is being safely secured as we speak," Corsec said.

"And the weapons and technology we took from the SDC is being set up in our favor, High Leader Taurus," Fennec added.

"Stand by for further orders once you're through," Adam ordered.

"As you wish, High Leader," Corsec replied.

The two brothers turned around and walked away. Soon after, a white van drove up the driveway and came to a stop by the garage. Right after, Hazel, Emerald, and Mercury stepped out as four White Fang soldiers ran up to the back of the van to unload the electronics inside, while Salem, Adam, and Cinder approached the three.

"I'd imagine your run went accordingly?" Salem asked.

"We have had a confrontation with a couple of bystanders, but our shopping run went well," Hazel said.

"Explain," Salem said with narrowed eyes.

"A couple of men tried to rob us and have verbally attacked me and Emerald because of our skin color," Hazel said.

"They called me and Hazel n*****s. Whatever that means," Emerald added.

"I've looked up that despite the nonexistence of the Faunus in this world, there are some humans on this planet that are treated like the Faunus," Adam said.

"You haven't killed them, have you?" Cinder asked.

"We haven't killed them. We've only driven them off," Hazel said.

"Good. We do not need any unwanted attention if their bodies are found," Salem said.

As Hazel, Emerald, and Mercury walked away, everyone was completely unaware that the two men that the three encountered we're hiding behind some bushes, looking on at everything going on around the house.

"What the hell is this? Some sort of furry convention?" the bandana man asked.

"I don't know. But we better tell the boss about this," the black shirt man replied.

The two men turned and ran off away from the property.

A few hours later, it was now sunset and the White Fang had their tents all set up and several White Fang soldiers patrolled around the house and property. A half a mile down the driveway away from the house, two White Fang guards hiding behind some shrubs, looking out onto an empty street. They heard something coming from the end of the street.

They both turned and saw a mob of white supremacists march down a street with weapons and signs that read, 'Animal people, go home!' on them. More people walked out of the homes down the street with guns and joined in with the mob. One of the guards pulled out a radio and spoke into it.

"Uh, Adam? We may have a problem."

Back at the house, Adam had just listened in to his radio of the oncoming threat.

"Brothers and sisters, grab your weapons and prepare for an attack!" Adam ordered.

The White Fang soldiers scramble around the house, readying their weapons and setting up barriers. Adam grabbed one of his men by his arm, stopping him.

"Get the others inside the house," Adam said, then letting go.

The guard nods and then runs up to the house. With defenses set up, the White Fang waited for their attackers to show up. Moments later, the mob is now seen approaching up the driveway angrily shouting threats to the White Fang. They all stop halfway and stop shouting as the sound of a motor approached from behind them. The crowd steps out of the way as a man on a black Vance & Hines motorcycle and stops in front of the mob.

The man was muscular and as he took off his black helmet he revealed he has a shaved head and blue eyes. He wore black shoes, blue pants and a black leather jacket with a white undershirt. The man turned to the crowd and then spoke.

"Boys! We are all gathered here today to take the evil up out of root before it chokes out and destroys out culture and heritage! And our women! Let's not forget those ladies y'all! Looking to us for protection from n*****s, from f*****s, from Jews, from Hispanics, and from all those smartass folk saying we've come descended from monkeys! And now we must defend our way of living from those who think of themselves as part animal, the damn ideal created by those dragon people of the east!"

The white supremisists cheered as the man continued to speak.

"That's not my culture and heritage and that certainly ain't your culture and heritage neither! And so... we're gonna make examples of these abominations by showing them to their rightful place!"

The crowd cheered and then began to charge at the house. Cinder, Emerald, Mercury, Watts, Tyrian, and Hazel walk out from the front door with their weapons and see what was going on. The White Fang had their weapons ready and were waiting for the order to attack.

"Kill them!" Adam shouted.

The White Fang soldiers began to open fire at the supremacists. Some of the men were shot while everyone else began to take cover behind some trees and logs. The supremacists began to fire back at the Faunus supremacists in response. The motorcyclist ran up to one of his men who handed him an AK-47.

"Have some of our men circle around the house and strike from behind," the motorcyclist ordered.

Before the man could do anything, the bat Faunus, Yuma flies out from the air and grabs him by his torso. Yuma then flies up above the trees with the man in his arms who was screaming in terror. Yuma drops the man as he falls onto a rock with a sickening crunch as the motorcyclist looks on in shock. Another man tried to run to the fallen man, but a spider web silk suddenly wrapped around the man's feet, tripping him. He quickly gets dragged away into some nearby bushes, then followed by blood curdling screams.

The black shirt man and bandana man rushed out to attack at the White Fang, but a bullet pierced through the black shirt man's chest and he dropped to the ground bleeding out. The bandana man turned to see where the shot had come from and saw Mercury with Talaria put on again. The bandana man pulled out a pistol and fired at Mercury, but his shots harmlessly passed through him. Mercury fades away, confusing the man. He hears a thud from behind him and as he turns around, Emerald slashes at his chest with Thief's Respite as he drops to the ground. Mercury ran out from some bushes and approached Emerald.

Four more white supremacists ran up to the house, but Tyrian suddenly jumped out from a tree and slashed at two of the men. He quickly shot at the third and quickly grazed the fourth with his stinger. Two more white supremacists charged at Tyrian. Before they could attack, Hazel grabbed the two men by their shirts and tossed one of them at a nearby tree. He takes the second man and slams him to the ground and stomps at his chest, crushing his ribs.

As one of the white supremacists continues to shoot at the White Fang, Watts calmly walks up to the man as he puts on eight yellow rings with a black lining in the center of each one on both his hands which upon putting them on the lining then starts to glow light blue. He then pulls out his revolver and clears his throat, getting the man's attention. Upon seeing Watts, the supremacist fired a couple shots at him, but Watts quickly blocked the bullets with a hard-light shield projected from his rings. Watts fires a bullet at the man's forehead, killing him.

Another white supremacist charges up and punches Watts' revolver out of his hand and on to the ground. Watts grabbed onto the man's wrists and shoved them into a small gap in between two trees. Four of Watts' rings are placed within the gap in between the trees, held in place by a Hard-Light barrier that has trapped the supremacist's wrists. The man forcefully pulled his wrists out of the barrier as it tore and burned his skin off, causing him to scream in pain and drop to his knees. Watts picks up his revolver and shoots at the supremacist's chest, ending his suffering. The barrier deactivates, causing the rings to fall to the ground. As Watts knelt down to pick up the rings, a supremacist was about to shoot at him from behind. Suddenly, Cinder impales the man with her sword. She ran back into the battle as Watts got up from picking up his rings, oblivious to what had happened behind him.

Four white supremacists were shooting at Adam as he blocked all of the bullets with Wilt. He ran up to one of them and slashed at his chest then kicked the second in the face. He shot at the third with Blush and saw that the last one charged at him with three more friends. Adam swiftly drew his sword, swinging it in the air at the advocaries as his semblance activated, slicing all four men in half.

The motorcyclist watched in shock and horror as his men were being killed in ways that he had never seen before. He looked at eight of his men who were waiting for an order from him.

"What the hell do we do now?!" one of them asked.

"There's a small group of those fuckers on the left side! Take them out so we can get through!" the motorcyclist ordered.

The eight white men then charged out into the open and just before anyone else could charge in to attack, the front door opened and walking out was Salem. Everyone stopped their attacks as she calmly walked out into the open as the eight men looked at her in slight fear of her appearance. They quickly shrug it off and began shooting at Salem.

A cyclone appears beneath Salem as it lifts her off of the ground. She conjures a black orb of magic in each of her hands as she looks down at the shocked and fearful white supremacists who stopped shooting.

"Oh shi-"

Before one of the men could finish, Salem pointed the orbs at the eight shooters. The orbs each sent out a blast of purple magic beams at the shooters, disintegrating them all one at a time as they screamed in terror. The mob of white supremacists turned around and were about to run away, but Salem blasted some magic in front of them, stopping them in their tracks. Tyrian laughed and clapped at the carnage taking place in front of everyone.

The motorcyclist looked up at Salem in slight fear. He quickly shook off his fear and slowly approached the cyclone while covering his face and tried not to get sucked in. Salem noticed the man approaching and the cyclone slowly subsided as she slowly descended to the ground. The two stared at each other for a moment until the man spoke.

"Seems like I have more problems to deal with."

"Who are you people?" Salem asked with a raised eyebrow.

The motorcyclist pulled a cigarette out of his right pocket from his jacket and a lighter from his left jacket pocket. He puts the cigarette in his mouth and proceeds to light it with his lighter.

"Me and the others are just people protecting our race from people like all of you from destroying it," he answered.

The man puffed out a ball of smoke at Salem's face, much to her annoyance.

"And we don't take kindly to those not of Aryan blood like those that are with you and those like you who sold their souls to the devil," the motorcyclist said. "We are all consistently made up of the KKK, the Aryan Brotherhood, and the National Socialist Movement."

The man stuffs the lighter in his pocket and as he pulls his hand out, something slips out of his pocket and falls to the ground. Salem looks down at the object. It was a photo of the motorcyclist and a pre-teenage boy and a younger boy standing next to each other in front of him. Salem looked at the younger boy closely and quickly realized who the young boy in the picture was. The man picks the photo up off the ground and stuffs it in his pocket.

"Do you know of a boy by the name of Jacob Gordon?" Salem asked.

The man's eyes widened in surprise and anger upon hearing the name. Cinder hears the name and looks at the man in question and approaches Salem's side.

"What... was that name... again?" The motorcyclist asked, slowly getting infuriated.

"Jacob Gordon," Salem answered.

"I take it that you know him?" Cinder asked.

"Know him? My ungrateful little shit of a son is the reason why I'm hiding from the authorities!" the man angrily shouted.

Cinder upon hearing the man admitting to being Jacob's father was about to walk towards him, but Salem placed her arm in front of her, putting Cinder to a halt.

"I presume that you want to repay him for whatever situation that he has put you in?" Salem asked.

"Why do you ask?" Jacob's father asked.

"He is one of many that has been interfering with our plans for the past few months and the reason that I've lost my arm," Cinder said, pointing at her left sleeve.

"That's why men should do the jobs, not pathetic ladies like you," Jacob's father said, earning a growl from Cinder in response.

"That's enough," Salem said. "I have a proposition for you. You will help us in striking back against our enemies.

"And what do my men and I get in return?" the man asked.

"All of your previous actions against us will be forgiven. And as an added bonus, we'll help give you your son back in return," Salem answered.

Jacob's father paused for a moment and then spoke his answer to the immortal witch.

"Despite our differences, I have my boys rallied up. But you better keep your word in the end, or there will be hell to pay, woman."

"We never did get your name. Care to introduce?" Cinder asked.

"Gordon. Victor Gordon," The motorcyclist known as Victor introduced himself.

"Well Victor, we have so much to talk about," Salem said.
