Pegasus looks around, shocked. Everything around is black. Then how come he can see his hands? How did he end up in this place?

'Hello? Anybody here?' Pegasus calls out, afraid. The man who was so collected and confident at the Duelist Kingdom, the man who always seemed in control of the situation, now feels like a helpless child lost in the woods. A boy desperately looking for his mom.

No, come to think of it, Maximillion never truly bonded with either of his parents. He was a neglected child, essentially raised by servants. And although his parents always provided him with anything material he desired, they almost never were there for him, being too busy either working or partying.

Whenever he was sad, whenever he needed a mother, as any little boy does when sad, it was another woman who would console him instead, be it a maid or his childhood girlfriend, Cecilia.

Pegasus forgets about the darkness for a moment, having surprised himself with those thoughts. So he has always been a mommy's boy? Even when he seemed so powerful and fearsome at the Duelist Kingdom? Has he always looked just for a woman to replace his mother with? Is this what Cecilia and Mai are to him? Did he grow up in an overprotective, wealthy environment that rendered him unable to grow into his own man?

'Oh, Cecilia,' Pegasus talks to the woman in front of him, whom he can also see, despite the black background. 'I might have mommy issues, but I still love you. As a woman! And I love Mai as well. As a woman! Even if you are partly mothers to me, you still are lovers too and...'

Wait, why is Cecilia here?

'Do not try to apologize, Maximillion,' the teenage girl smiles, with her hand on her chest. 'I understand. However, right now, your other love is in grave peril. And it is your fault.'

Pegasuses single eye widens. 'Mai? Grave peril? My fault? What did I do? I would do anything to keep her safe.'

Cecilia's face hardens. 'It is your fault,' she insists, now in an angry tone of voice.

'But, I don't understand, explain to me...'

'IT IS YOUR FAULT!' Cecilia bellows. Her voice is now male, eerie. It resonates through the black space.

Pegasus gasps and steps back.

Before his shocked eyes, Cecilia starts increasing in size and changing shape. And color! She becomes blue. A gargantuan, blue creature!

'Obelisk!' Pegasus cries. 'Obelisk the Tormentor!'

The creature is towering over the shocked man.

'It is your fault, Maximillion,' the God repeats, his voice still being booming and resonant. As Zork, he is talking without moving his mouth. Although the expression in his eyes never changes, Pegasus can see sadness and disappointment in them.

'God...' Pegasus says in a weak voice and pauses, not knowing what else to say.

'I want to help your loved one, Pegasus,' the God carries on. 'But I cannot. For you destroyed me!'

'What are you talking about?' Pegasus cries desperately, shaking his head. 'Gods cannot be destroyed. Gods are immortal. Gods are incorruptible. Please, God, if Mai is in some dangerous situation right now, save her.'

Obelisk remains silent. Does that mean no?

'PLEASE, GOD,' Pegasus screams. 'Save her. I will do anything. ANYTHING! I will offer my life to you if you want. Just help h...'

With a cry of shock, Pegasus wakes up, his upper body shooting forward. He almost falls off his chair.

The still shocked man jumps to his feet. His single eye roams around the space. He is in his office, fully dressed. So he fell asleep.

Max places his hand on his chest. His heart is beating like crazy. What a nightmare that was. Or was it a nightmare?

'Obelisk,' the man whispers. 'Was that really you?'

Mai is looking at the card she just drew, with her eyes widening in disbelief. What is this blue card? And what is that grotesque, gargantuan creature drawn on it? Mai does not remember putting something like that in her deck. Is it possibly a trick of Rexes?

No, Rex has no reason to cheat at this stage of the game; he has practically had it won. Why would he cheat and risk being disqualified? Then where did that card come from?

'Are you gonna look at your card all day, Valentine?' Rex sighs impatiently while adjusting his crotch, which is swollen like hell. He sure can't wait to get his prize after the duel!

Mai ignores the boy and keeps staring at the card. No matter how it ended up in her deck, its ATK value at the bottom of it is 4000! This will sure greatly help! And the card text above the ATK and DEF value indications... although it is written in a language incomprehensible to Mai (Ancient Egyptian, she presumes), she can read it, as if it was written in modern Japanese!

Not even Pegasus knows what that text says; when he created the God Cards, unable to translate those ancient Egyptian hieroglyphics, he just copied them. And yet, here now Mai is, whispering the translation!

The descent of this mighty creature shall be heralded by burning winds and twisted land. And with the coming of his horror, those who draw breath shall know the true meaning of eternal slumber.

'Mai,' Rex calls out again, tapping his foot. 'I remind you that you have only five minutes to make your move. When your five minutes are up, it's automatically my turn again.'

This time, Mai graces her opponent with a look. She gets a determined expression. She doesn't know how, but she knows the effect of that monster. And she doesn't care how she knows it! All that matters is that she can now kick the butt of that asshole as hard as he deserves.

'I tribute my three Harpies and summon OBELISK THE TORMENTOR!'

'Obe what?' Rex scratches his head.

The next thing he knows, a gigantic beast is descending, seemingly from the heavens. A thunderstorm has broken out. An epic, archaistic soundtrack is heard, coming seemingly from nowhere. Are all those effects merely results of the hologram technology? No, they can't be!

In any case, Rex is totally freaking out. 'WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON HERE?' he shrieks and steps back, with his eyes bulging.

Ignoring him, Mai carries on. Obelisk is strong enough to defeat the Super Conductor Tyranno the way he is. However, after everything Rex has done, simply defeating him is not enough for Mai. She wants to crush his will to fight forever. To make him have nightmares for a really long time!

'Now, Obelisk the Tormentor, I offer you my two remaining monsters. Absorb them and increase your power.'

The giant God grabs Dunames Dark Witch and the Unfriendly Amazon, with one hand each. The two poor monsters turn into energy, which flows through the divine body. His 4000 power indication is replaced with the symbol of infinity!

'OBELISK,' Mai points forward. 'FIST OF FURY!'

The God pulls back his fist, with a sphere of yellow energy forming around it. Finally, he punches the Super Conductor Tyranno, utterly smashing it.

Rex shrieks in horror, in a girlie manner, as his life points drop to zero.

Marik and Yami Mokuba, who are watching Mai through the former's Millennium Rod, are ecstatic.

'See? I told ya God Cards cannot be destroyed,' the blond villain unnecessarily states.

A scientist approaches them. 'Mister Kaiba,' he draws Yami's attention. 'The screens are showing that, in one of the duels currently taking place at the tournament, someone played a God Card. You told me to inform you as soon as that happened. Do you wish to come and check?'

Yami, who already knew that piece of info, thanks to Marik's rod, turns to the scientist, annoyed. 'I hate it when they tell me things I already know, moreover as if they were big news!'

To take out his annoyance, the possessed boy takes out his Millennium Ring, which glows, causing the scientist to gasp and his eyes to go blank.

'Enjoy a nice, eternal trip to the Shadow Realm, Captain Obvious,' the boy snickers as the unfortunate man passes out.

'Watch out, dude,' Marik chuckles, not caring about that man's fate. 'You will run out of staff soon if you make them "die on duty" at the drop of a hat!'

Yami rolls his eyes. 'Said the one who mind crushes his subordinates for losing a children's card game. Besides, I can always hire more. Mortals are laughably replaceable.'

'Anyway,' Marik trains his eyes on the Millenium Rod. 'I guess it's time to command Strings to go after that Mai lady, since she has the God Card. We'll deal with the Pharaoh later.'

Rex is fallen on the ground, both because of the shockwave generated by Obelisk's attack and his own shock.

Mai is walking over to him, with her hands on her hips, in a fashion that would arouse the boy unbelievably under different circumstances. However, right now, Rex is in anything but a mood to be sexually aroused. All he wants is to stay away from this woman!

'P-please, don't hurt me,' he stutters, flailing on the ground. 'Take my locator cards. Take any rare card you want from my deck. Just go away!'

Mai crouches in front of him, satisfied that her adversary is in that condition because of her. After snatching his three locator cards, she opens his black pouch; there are no cards in his dinosaur themed deck that she could use to improve her Harpy themed deck, but maybe in here... oh, here is something interesting. Jinzo!

'I guess I'll take this one as an ante,' she cries happily as she stands up.

'Ok, are you happy?' Rex asks, still panting with fear. 'Now go!'

Mai eyes the fallen boy with a meaningful smile. Perhaps he deserves a kick in the balls as well. It's not a bad idea!

Slowly and sadistically, the woman pulls back her leg, about to deliver the kick, with Rex already shrieking in a high pitched voice, as if he had already received that kick!

However, before Mai can carry out her physical assault, a soothing, female voice is heard. 'I think he has had enough, Mai. Moderation in all things, including punishment.'

Mai turns around and sees a tan skinned woman approaching. She's wearing a white dress and a headcloth the same color.

'Huh? How do you know my name, ma'am?' Mai asks, curiously. The next moment, though, she answers the question herself, 'Oh, I know. You must have seen me in some magazine. After all, being the Duel Queen, I'm famous.'

The woman stands in front of Mai, places her hand on her chest and greets the taller, blonde woman with a humble bow. 'My name is Ishizu Ishtar and I know a lot more than your name, Mai. I know that now you, too, are a rightful possessor and wielder of a God Card.'

'God Card?' Mai raises an eyebrow. Is this the blue card she drew out of nowhere earlier?

'Umm, ma'am,' Rex tries to draw Ishizu's attention, having gone back to his goofy, comic relief self. 'Since I won't have sex with Mai after all but I'm really in the mood, would you by any chance like to do it with me in place of Mai?'

Mai rolls her eyes. Ishizu closes her eyes, places her palm on her mouth and giggles.

The tan skinned woman crouches and kisses the boy on the cheek. 'Here. This is all I'm willing to give you. Endeavor to be content with that,' she kindly says.

With his eyes replaced by gag hearts and a stupid smile on his face, Rex passes out.

Ishizu stands up and looks at Mai, taking a more serious expression.

'So, what did you say about God Cards a moment ago, Ishizu?' the blonde woman asks.

The two females walk away, discussing.

Strings, who is still standing on that bench, begins budging.

'Mind slave,' Marik's voice resonates in his head. 'Change of plans. Forget about Yugi Muto for the time being. Go after Mai Valentine.'

Immediately, the silent doll obeys the command. He jumps off the bench, causing Normal Yugi to flinch, and runs away.

'Talk about politeness,' the underdeveloped boy says sarcastically, rolling his huge, round eyes.

'Strange,' Yami Yugi comments in the boy's head. 'I was sure he was some henchman of Marik's and he would challenge us to some sadistic duel. I guess I was thinking too much.'

'See? I told you you were too suspicious, partner,' Yugi laughs carefreely and walks away.
