There was nothing but silence on Appa. Azula had, by this point, stopped whimpering and was now asleep in the arms and bosom of Ty Lee. Suki and Toph were trying to come to terms with everything that had happened in the last three hours and were still slightly shaken, Mai and Ty Lee were practically numb to everything and were trying to figure out what to do, and Katara was fuming.

"Sooo...how's everyone doing?" Sokka suddenly asked, breaking the tense silence that was looming over the group.

"Well, I don't know about you, but I'm feeling pretty shitty right now," Suki replied with disdain as she gazed over the saddle.

"Yeah, Ice Brain - not exactly the best thing to say right now," Toph interjected with a frown.

"What? I'm just trying to lighten the mood," Sokka reasoned as he walked from Appa's head to the saddle to sit with the rest of the large group that included the three past enemies of the Fire Nation. He didn't know what to think when he saw Mai, Ty Lee, and Azula of all people jump into the saddle.

"Well, maybe you should just let us come to terms with the fact that AANG MIGHT BE DEAD?!" Mai yelled at the teen, who turned his head to look at the floor of the saddle.

"Oh? And why do you even care?!" Katara yelled, immediately eliciting a response of hatred from the two Fire Nation citizens.

"Jee, I don't know," Ty Lee said sarcastically as she scratched her head in faked confusion. "Maybe it's because we're his fucking friends!"

"Did you ever think that we were also his friends?" Katara yelled at the three girls.

Suddenly, it was as if the temperature around Appa dropped by 40 degrees. In fact, Appa himself noticed the sudden thought and could only think to himself, Girl, you've done it now. He shook his head and continued to fly, but also paid attention to the conversation and eventual verbal shellacking that was about to go down.

"You...were his friend?!"

Everyone looked at the saddle and saw that Azula had awoken from her crying induced slumber on Ty Lee. She was now very much awake and was now staring daggers at Katara.

Katara smirked at her. "So! The whore decides to wake up from her crying," Katara spat at Azula.

"Oh? And how do you know I'm a whore?" Azula questioned as she continued to glare at Katara.

"You don't love Aang!" Katara boomed at Azula. She began to watch Azula become even more enraged. "That's why you're a whore!"

Ty Lee and Mai's eyes widened at the statement and they saw Azula start to tremble at the mere idea that she didn't love Aang. They both truly knew how much Azula would do for Aang and how much she would bleed for him. They knew that Azula truly loved him.

"Oh, really?" Azula stood up in the saddle, which made Katara also stand up. "And how do you know that I don't love him? Were you on our first date? Were you in our room? Did you hear our conversations?"

"I know that you don't love him because you are a heartless bitch! You are pure evil!" Katara screamed at the Princess, who balled up her fists in anger. "Hell, you're even pregnant! What, did you rape him just to get a child?!"

That was the last straw. Mai knew it, Ty Lee knew it, Suki was, at this point, disgusted at Katara, and Toph merely sighed. Zuko was not paying attention as he was asleep.

"YOU BITCH!" Azula cried as she tackled Katara. She threw her over the side of Appa and screamed, proceeding to jump over the side of Appa so that she could follow the falling Waterbender.

Appa looked behind him and saw the two falling girls and smirked. So she finally got what was coming to her, he roared.

This grabbed the attention of Sokka, who jumped back to the front of Appa. He looked over and saw both Katara and Azula using bending so that they could stay in the air. "Wow, that's actually really cool," he said with amazement in his voice.

"Sokka, what's going on?" Toph asked.

"Well, Azula, in a fit of rage, threw Katara over the side of Appa," Suki explained, which got widened eyes from Toph.

"Was she the Waterbender?" Mai asked as she looked at the Kyoshi warrior.

"Yes," Zuko said with a frown, woken up by the noise. "And she's a bitch who can't keep her mouth shut!"

"Hey!" Sokka yelled from Appa's head. "Don't badmouth about my sister!"

"Sokka, she just got thrown over the side of Appa! And, honestly, she deserved it," Suki added as she shrugged and had a small smile on her face. While Katara and Suki weren't super close, they were still friends. Though, she occasionally had a very nasty attitude that really got on her nerves.

"Yeah, and Azula has never really liked her all that much," Ty Lee said quietly.

"What do you mean?" Toph surprisingly asked.

"Well, ever since the day at the Stronghold, she's always had a very large amount of hatred for her. She was the main reason why Aang snapped that day - along with Zuko, but...I won't get into that," The acrobat explained as she glanced over the side of Appa to see both girls battling it out in the air.

"You know, Aang probably wouldn't want them both to fight like this," Suki mentioned with a frown.

"Yeah, well, Aang isn't here right now," Mai said as she lied down further into the saddle. "But I don't think Azula would actually kill her."

Katara was falling rapidly after Azula suddenly pushed her out of the saddle of Appa. She looked down and saw a large body of water and smirked, immediately bending the water around her so that it formed a funnel, keeping her high in the air.

"Well, well...looks like the whore can do things other than hurt my boyfriend and bitch about the world," Azula spat as she hovered in the air facing Katara.

"Face it, you fat bitch!" Katara snapped back as she went into a defensive stance. "Go back to the hole you came from and leave me and my friends alone!"

"I am NOT fat! I am simply more curvy then your flat-chested ass!" Azula countered as she flew towards the Waterbender and launched multiple fireballs at her.

Katara dodged to the side and launched multiple darts made out of water, which she transformed into ice when they approached the Princess. Azula skillfully avoided them and launched a blue fire dragon out of her mouth. The dragon launched towards Katara, who sent a wall of water from the sea up to intercept it before it hit her.

The war of attrition between Katara and Azula had been going on for a solid twenty minutes at this point. Azula was having a much better time than Katara was since she had been training with Aang during their travels, compared to Katara, who was panting heavily.

"I can do this all day!" Azula sneered to her opponent as she was ready to launch another volley of attacks towards Katara.

"You bitch! You don't even care about him! Why are you even fighting me?!" Katara yelled at Azula, who growled at the girl.

"What do you even know about Aang?!" Azula yelled back as she rocketed towards Katara. "What do you know about the boy that woke up from a nightmare? The boy who can cook amazing breakfasts, lunches, and dinners? What do you know about him?!" Tears began to trickle down her face. "Did you know he never had a mom or dad?! Did you know that he had a scar right below his left elbow?! What did you know about him, Katara?"

This made Katara stop and think about what Azula had said. She didn't know Aang. She didn't know him at all. The women in front of her had known him the same amount of time that she had and was actively crying over him. Sure, she had been upset when Aang had originally disappeared at the end of the battle in Ba Sing Se, but Azula was visibly shaking.

"You're right," Katara whispered as she lowered herself and continued to gaze at Azula, who still had tears streaming down her face. "I knew very little about him: his favorite food or what he does in his free time - what he wants to do when he's older. You're right...I know nothing about him."

"I'm glad you agree with me, but that doesn't give you the right to even pretend to know about him!" Azula yelled as she glared at the girl. " I'm done here. Figure out your own fucking way to get home!" She searched around to see where Appa was and noticed that he was a few miles away, propelling herself towards him and, after a few minutes of flying, finally reaching him.

"Where's Katara?" Zuko asked as he saw his sister.

"What, Zuzu? No 'Hi! Long time no see,' just 'Where's the Waterbending bitch'?" Azula asked as she slumped into the saddle and looked over at her brother in disbelief. "Wow, do I really mean that little to you?"

"What do you mean? You're evil. You always lie. That hasn't changed!" he yelled, which mide Azula flinch slightly.

"I'm sorry," she whispered softly, which made everyone's eyes widen.

"Excuse me?" Zuko said as he looked at his sister in surprise.

"I said I'm fucking sorry!" she cried as she turned around to face the outside of the saddle.

"Guys, she just lost her lifeline. She just lost the love of her life. Can you give her a break?" Ty Lee pleaded with the group, who relented.

"So they were a thing?" Sokka asked, which made everyone glare at him.

"No, Sokka, they only kissed, said 'I love you', and Aang flung Azula in with her ENEMIES!" Suki yelled, which made the man nervously laugh.

"Well, I'm just making sure!" Sokka said as he raised his arms defensively. "Though, I didn't think that he would get her pregnant."

"FOR THE LAST TIME, I AM NOT PREGNANT!" Azula yelled at the teen, who grew pale.

"It's funny how he thinks that someone other than his girlfriend is pregnant when his girlfriend is the pregnant one," Toph mumbled to herself while shaking her head in disappointment.

"Well, you can't blame me fo-" Sokka had to duck from an incoming fireball that was being launched at his head. "Okay, okay, jeez. I won't think you're pregnant anymore. Are you happy?"

"Good," Azula said with a slight smirk on her face as she turned to watch the clouds flow by.

A few hours passed by as they rode on Appa when Sokka finally asked the question that was burning on his and everybody else's mind:

"Does anyone know where we're going?"

Everyone turned to look at him in unison like he was insane.

"You mean we've been flying on here for five hours...and you have NO IDEA WHERE WE'RE GOING?!" Suki yelled at their boyfriend, who, at this point, was on the verge of getting murdered by everyone in the saddle.

"Well, yeah...we kinda started flying in a random direction," Sokka admitted as he looked around. All eyes were glaring at him.

"Well, I have a metal cube that Aang gave me instructions on, but no one can bend it. I don't know what to do with it now that he's not here," Ty Lee said as she pulled it out of her bosom.

"Seriously, how do you store stuff in there?!" Mai yelled as she glared at her friend, who was blushing a little.

"Well, when you have boobs as big as mine..."

"Wait, did you say no one can bend the metal cube?" Toph asked as she looked in the direction of the girls.

"Yeah, but I'm pretty sure that no one else knows how to do it," said Mai sadly.

"Wait - I can metal bend! I invented it shortly before Aang got...well, you know what happened," Toph explained as she smiled at the assassin and acrobat.

"Then I guess you're our only option when it comes to figuring out where to go." Mai handed the cube to Toph, who felt it in her hand. She unravelled it, revealing a map, message, and other useful information that Aang had written down on top of a large sheet of metal.

"Alright, here's the message and a map it looks like," Toph said as she handed it to Ty Lee, who skimmed it and noticed it was addressed to Azula.

"It's for you," Mai said to Azula as she handed her the large slab of metal.

Azula looked at the slab and her eyes widened. She looked at the metal and stared at the message, smiling slightly as she began to read.

Dear Azula,

If you're reading this, then that means that I've done something stupid and we are split up. This does not mean that I have abandoned you in any way. I love you with my entire heart, Azula, and I will always be with you. I'm writing this while you sleep and I can say that while it's a tad creepy, you're so beautiful when you sleep. So, this message, well...it's kinda weird, actually. Mai and Ty just told me that you were going to be kidnapped, and I sort of flipped. I don't really know what's going to happen, but just know I love you. I have loved you and always will. If you meet up with Sokka and the crew, show them the Azula that I know. I know you'll want to put on a mask and be cold, but you shouldn't do that. You should be happy. Fight in the war. You can do this, love. We'll meet again soon, my love - I know we will. Then we'll get married and have lots of Air/Firebending babies! Live well, Zula.

Until we meet again,

Avatar Aang

Azula had tears in her eyes as she read it. She knew that she loved him. But now she knew she loved him back. She smiled at the message and passed the sheet to everyone else so that they could look at what was on it. She sat back and smiled at the clouds. Don't worry Aang, I'll find you, she thought as she closed her eyes to drift off to sleep.

"I'm gonna cut that message so that only Azula can read it," Toph said as she bent the metal so that the message could separate, carefully placing it on Azula.

"Toph!" Zuko said as he glared at her. "Why did you do that?!"

"Because I have a fucking heart!" Toph yelled as she punched him in the arm. "That message wasn't meant for anyone other than Azula. What would you have done if that message was for you? Or Suki? Or Sokka? We shouldn't pry into anyone's personal business!"

"She's our enemy, Toph!" Zuko said with a stern face.

"She's also in a lot of pain!"

Everyone stared as Katara landed in the saddle and collapsed. She looked at everyone and gave a weary smile. "Give her a break."

"How can you, of all people, say that?!" Zuko yelled at her. "She literally THREW YOU OFF OF APPA?!"

Katara weakly smiled again. "She's in so much pain. She fought me and weeped. The entire time she was crying," she explained as she looked around at everyone on the saddle. " She really loved him...a lot."

"Are you just saying that because she handed you your ass?" Sokka asked, which got an angry glare from Azula.

"No; though, she did beat me handily. She was sad. Just, please...give her a break," Katara said as she was approaching the verge of sleepiness.

"That's well and all, but does anyone know where to go?" Sokka asked from the front of Appa.

"Yes," Ty Lee said. "Aang mentioned that there was an Air Temple near here." She pointed to a spot on the metal sheet. "Apparently it's on this map."

Suki looked at the sheet and nodded her head in agreement. "Sokka, she's right. What direction have we been heading in since we left Boiling Rock?"

"We've been heading north, I think," he replied without a great deal of confidence.

"Alright, that's good. We need to start heading west and then north. Hopefully, we should be able to find it. Maybe ask Appa if he knows?" she suggested, which got a snort from the bison.

Oh, so NOW you ask me if I know the way, Appa thought to himself as he looked around. You're lucky that's been where I've been flying your ungrateful asses.

"Well, it looks like he naturally knows the way to the temple," Sokka said with a smile.

"I just want to sleep," Toph said with a groan.

"Hopefully we'll be there soon," Zuko mumbled as he attempted to get comfortable.

A few hours after dark, Appa touched down on dry land. Sokka had woken everyone up except for Azula and Katara, who were still very much in a deeper sleep. They started setting up camp and Mai made dinner from the rations that they had.

"Where's the temple?" Ty Lee asked as she set up a tent.

"I think Aang said something about it being underground," Mai explained as she cooked.

"We'll figure that out in the morning," Suki said as she sat down in front of the fire to eat her food.

"Yeah, that's tomorrow's problem," Sokka said as he wrapped his arms around Suki and kissed her on the cheek.

"Whatever," Mai groaned as she placed the food onto plates.

Once they had eaten, they all bid good night to each other and headed to their sleeping arrangements for the evening. Sokka and Suki shared a tent, Toph made some earth tents, and Zuko shared one with Katara, though he mumbled about it being troublesome. Mai, Ty Lee, and Azula all wanted to be together, as they didn't want to be alone at the moment.

"Do you think Aang is okay?" Ty Lee quietly asked as they sat in their earth tent.

"I honestly don't know anymore. I mean, they wouldn't kill him right?" Mai asked as she looked over at Azula's eyes.

"I don't know Mai," Azula replied as she shed a tear and gazed up at the ceiling. "I just don't know."
