Breaking news!

Monarch Nano was robbed!

You read on your tablet while walking towards the university; it seems someone had broken into another company and stole nothing physical but more along the data lines. The news report showed a short security video; it was hard to see the figures at first. They blended in well with the shadows. Even their masks, your eyes narrow, trying to spot anything else, whatever or whoever they are, their movements. They were so fluid.

So coordinated.

Almost like silk.

It was clear they've had or have training. Still listing to what the news reporter was saying, something caught your ear.

A word.

Encrypted Passcode.

The company had an encrypted passcode called Rubix that changed every hour systematically. So no one could get in, yet somehow, these guys managed to.

"I wonder the importance of this heist," you ponder for a moment. You knew it was something of value; you wondered if the said company had what you needed.

It wouldn't hurt to look, but the Rubix would be a challenge bypass. Also, you needed to, for a moment, lay low. If Hiro and the others caught you and your…other self, as tensions were high, everything you've worked for would stop. Not the best situation right now, but you had to make do. So you read a few more lines and turn it off.

The campus was mildly occupied, not many students had Friday classes, and most importantly, it left security less restrained. As you walk along the path, you reach into your memory from the tour Wasabi and the others gave you, recall where the main security building was located. It didn't take you long to reach it, no one was really around, and you just needed a peek inside. Double-checking first, look to your left, then your right grabs the handle, and…find it locked.

You jiggle it a bit to make sure. It was, and it required a passcode. Which you didn't have, luckily you had your 'phone' and held it before the pad. If any of the spy movies Mikey had you watch taught you anything and the knowledge you obtained from Donnie in tech, was always be ready and creative. Acting as though you were typing a text, turn and lean your back against the door and 'fall' in when 'suddenly' opened.

Tech was easy to deceive. Getting up and making sure you were out of the camera's line of sight, get to work.

"Hello! Welcome to Lucky Cafe! What can I get you?" Cass smiled at the next customer.

"Yeah, do you still make those Sakura…umm…"

Cass's smile slipped a little, "Oh, um, we don't sell those anymore. Sorry. They…" she paused and swallowed the sad lump in her throat, "They were only a special."

"Oh. Lame. I was hoping to try one, well can I have the Lucky Cafe Special then? And a donut. Chocolate."

"Of course."

She rang them up, thanked them for the order, and went to work on the order. The kitchen seems emptier than before when it was still the same size. Half through the order, she paused for a moment and looked up. Turning to the left and stared at the empty spot, where you use to be smiling and helping, unsure what came over her, she reached out, having this strange feeling as though someone was actually, quickly pulled it back.

"What are you doing, Cass," she muttered and finished the order. "One Lucky Cafe Special!" She shouted, walking back to the front.

You couldn't help but smile a little as you stood in the spot camouflaged. Cass was still the same, to some degree. The tipping of her smile twisted your stomach, but you couldn't let that affect you. It was a good thing she didn't notice your presence, and you shouldn't have stood so close. The kitchen, you began looking around, it hadn't changed much…actually not at all. So much time was spent here, helping out with the cafe. Cooking and baking said items, with Cass's help and guidance. When she first brought you here, you burst at what could be made, and it provided you…a sense of home. Since you couldn't really go to school at the time, your time was taken up here all day.

Waking up early, before Cass, at times, began prepping things. Having donuts done. Tables cleaned. The floor mopped. Windows wiped. Counters cleaned too. Even if time permitted, find some flowers and put them on some of the tables. Rarely you were fast enough to finish everything before Cass and Hiro woke up.

Hiro, you muttered inside. He'd wake up frantically searching for you, stumbling down the stairs; at times, he'd trip and end up lightly bruising his knee or bump his head a few times. Which prompt you to provide him with some medical assistance until Baymax came. Though Baymax wouldn't help really and give you the okay, Hiro was alright. Hiro woke up with you a few times to help or go collect flowers; he was rather talkative and clumsy, but helpful nevertheless. You often had either his breakfast or lunch ready for him when he went off to school.

And when he came home, sometimes with the others, you'd have a special snack ready for him…and the others at times. This followed by a hug, welcoming him back. He always stiffens up and turns the color of a cherry.

You….should you even do this…your stomach knotted more. But, maybe…it wasn't….

No, you shake off; you had to do this. You need this, and it was the only way. Pushing aside those rising feelings, leave the kitchen and head to Hiro's garage lab. Carefully you make your way there, keeping your senses alert, listening for any voice or voices that might be here. You hoped Fred was able to…do what you asked. If he did then, this should be easy. Turning the corning, slowly peer around to see if anyone was there.

There was no one.

Good.

Slipping to the front, finding the door down. Determined to enter, take a glance around and find it clear. You waste no time and locate the button, opening it halfway. Once in, a rush of emotions and memories flood your focused mind, and you freeze.

"Your lab is quite amazing, Hiro!" You gush, remembering the moment you stepped foot in and with wonder took everything in. Looking up and around, slowly spinning here and over there.

It nearly mirrored Donnie's back at home, except it was smaller. Everything was amazing, from his 3D printer to…his holographic keyboard…to his small microbots. You couldn't help but lightly touch everything, softly laughing each time. Hiro had taken a seat and began working on something. He stopped a few times to admire you take in his lab. Eventually, he told you this was where he built everyone's costumes and gear. Showing you the schematics. It was engineering at its finest. Finally, he offered to make you, which you considered a joke.

You smile mildly at that.

Though Hiro came in here every so often, you'd at times join him or bring him down a snack or lunch if he overworked himself and enjoy it with him. Twice he was asleep at his desk, and you draped a blanket over him.

You felt your lower lip began to tremble, "Hiro…." you hold your hand over your heart and clench it.

Could you really do this? This way wasn't honorable….it wasn't….closing your eyes take a moment to converse the action, open your eyes, and see it, solidifying your answer.

"Aunt Cass! I'm home!" Hiro announcing entering the Lucky Cafe, moving aside as the last customer leaves for the night.

"Hey, sweetie. Could you help me with the clean-up?"

Setting his bag down, Hiro with Baymax got and assisted. While she swept, he took to wiping windows and Baymax on the counters.

"How was your day?" Cass broke the fogged silence.

Hiro took a moment, pushing down his own disappointment, "Good. It was good. The guys and I just….umm took a stroll around the city."

"Sounds nice. You know, I had the strangest feeling today."

"Really? About what?"

Cass fell silent, collecting her thoughts. Hiro stopped sensing her troubled hesitation and turned to her concerned. "Aunt Cass? Are you okay? What is it?"

He noticed the crestfallen look on her, "It sounds weird but….I was preparing an order in the kitchen when…I thought for a moment…saw, May."

Hiro's eyes widen, alerting Baymax's attention, "Y-You did?"

"Yeah. It was weird. Actually, it felt like she was there…with me in her normal spot. I tried to reach out, but…pulled back, realizing I was tricking myself." She scoffed, sadly, trying to laugh it off a bit. "Must have been the heat. Well….I'm going to go…wipe the kitchen down. Tomorrow night is poetry." She forced joy in her words, heading to the kitchen, "When you finish, head upstairs."

"O-Okay. I will."

Hiro turned back and began wiping again. Slower this time. Each circular stroke lagged, and his eyes downcast to the floor. His shoulders fell too. A heavy sigh pushed itself out, fogging up the window again. Baymax, again, stopped and looked at him.

Leaning his forehead on the window, oiling it up, Hiro sighed longer this time. He stayed that way for some time. Then, taking his forehead off, he saw what he did an, grabbede squirt bottle, sprsprayed a few times, and began wiping it away. Clearing up the window, his reflection stared back. Then, blinking a few times, the memory of you came.

You were standing outside on another side of the window, wiping it down from outside, on a night like this while he was inside. You finished the same time he did and cast his warm smile, rushing red to his cheeks and rooting his actions after that. Laughing behind a hand, you think of something and lightly rest your forehead on the glass and tap on the window, breaking him out of his trance to follow what he did. It took him a moment and few more shades of red to follow. Your smile brightens, happy to see this, while he gave you a cozy one.

That night, Hiro was sure the sun came out again.
