An air of silence filled the area as the four Ascended Digimon, two standing as champions of the light, the other two fallen to darkness, stared at one another, each waiting for one of them to make the first move.

Then, without warning, TyrantVeedramon shot into the air, the energy in his push cracking the dark marble below him, before appearing just before AscendedVeedramon faster then Davis or Veemon could see, his blade poised to strike.

"Savage Sword Slasher!" TyrantVeedramon bellowed as he began swinging his blade at his counterpart, moving at a near impossible speed as he tried to cut his foe down, while AscendedVeedramon did his best to block with his own blades.

"Ascension Shield!" AscendedVeedramon then called out, causing a light aura to form around him, where TyrantVeedramon backed up, not wanting to get caught in the powerful barrier of light, before he moved to strike again.

"Shadow Wave!" The Dark Ascended Digimon declared as he swung his blade, sending out a shockwave of dark energy towards his foe, who released his barrier as he prepared to counter.

"Ascended's Blades!" AscendedVeedramon then bellowed, drawing energy into his swords, where he swung them as the dark energy arc got closer, cutting through the energy and dispersing it, before he charged at his counterpart, clashing blades with one another and sending out a shockwave that caused the waters below to surge and parts of the dark fortress to crack.

"I admire your strength, but I have been fighting for this for a long time now, and in the end, I will break you!" TyrantVeedramon said with might as he pushed AscendedVeedramon back, where the two knight Digimon began clashing their blades together, each trying to outdo the other.

"I don't care how long you've done this, or how powerful you think you are, we won't let you destroy our world, end our friends!" AscendedVeedramon yelled back, pushing TyrantVeedramon backwards in the air as the dark Digimon laughed in reply.

"They will all die anyways, I'm just speeding it along!" TyrantVeedramon remarked as he held out his free hand, a black flame appearing within it as he bellowed. "Dark Dragon Strike!"

The black flame then erupted from TyrantVeedramon's hand, taking the form of a dragon's head as it surged towards AscendedVeedramon, who was quick to react.

"Blade of Divinity!" The Ascended Digimon let out as he brought his blades together, forming one large blade of light, which he used to cut through the dark flames, dissolving the fiery attack, before AscendedVeedramon saw his counterpart's body glowing with a dark aura, an action he mimicked as a light aura formed around him.

"Oblivion Ray!"

"Path of Destiny!"

Both Digimon gave great cries as they declared their attacks as they released blasts of light and darkness at one another, the two beams colliding with one another, trying to push each other back and overwhelm one another, the conflicting energies causing more damage and causing several towers of the dark fortress to collapse.

"Supreme Charge!" AscendedVeedramon then called as more light energy filled his being, shooting himself through his light energy and cutting through TyrantVeedramon's Oblivion Ray, delivering a powerful punch to the Dark King's face, sending him flying through part of the Dark Fortress, before he regained his composure, growling as he looked at his foe.

"You'll pay for that!" TyrantVeedramon said in rage, quickly charging in the air back to his counterpart as they continued their battle, ignoring the other fight raging near them.

At the moment TyrantVeedramon rushed at AscendedVeedramon to begin settle the score, Dark Tiamatmon let out a vicious roar, flying into the sky as she looked at AscendedOphanimon like a predator who just found her prey.

"Nightmare's Projection!" Dark Tiamatmon bellowed, expressing a growing malice in her voice as dozens of small dark portals opened around her, unleashing black apparitions that took on the appearance of birds with a single red eyes, which all charged at AscendedOphanimon in the attempt to tear her apart.

"Light's Rain!" AscendedOphanimon declared in response, harnessing her light and sending out dozens of light crystals that struck the apparitions, along with her blades, destroying the creatures before they could cause her any damage.

However, turning around, AscendedOphanimon found Dark Tiamatmon upon her, wrapping her body around the Ascended Digimon and holding her in place as the dark Digimon cried out. "Eternal Pain!"

Instantly, Dark Tiamatmon's body was engulfed in a dark flame, the heat and darkness of wick caused AscendedOphanimon to scream in pain, where she struggled to free herself from Dark Tiamatmon's tight grasp, before her body began to glow lightly.

"Ascension Nova!" The Ascended Digimon yelled through her pain, causing a burst of light to emit from her, causing Dark Tiamatmon to release her hold as she cried out in pain, crashing down into part of the Fortress below, where she looked up at AscendedOphanimon with pure hatred.

"Paradise Destroyer!" Dark Tiamatmon then bellowed, slamming the tip of her tail into part of the fortress below her, where dark energy erupted from the ground below her, sending up a surge of dark energy and debris, which AscendedOphanimon quickly moved and dodged.

"Shining Uproar!"AscendedOphanimon called in retaliation as she held her hand out towards Dark Tiamatmon, causing an incantation of light to appear beneath the dark Digimon, who let out a pained roar as the light energy consumed her, before flying back upwards, out of the light energy and towards her foe as dark flames gathered in her mouth.

"Dreaded Flare!" Dark Tiamatmon cried out as she sent the powerful stream of black fire at AscendedOphanimon, whose blades flew close to her and circled around her.

"Ascension Blast!" AscendedOphanimon declared as the crystal blades glowed, firing a powerful blast of light that collided with the dark flames, the two attacks canceling out one another, where both AscendedOphanimon and Dark Tiamatmon continued to glare at one another, waiting to see who would make the next move.

"Stop this, please! If not for yourself, then for your Davis, for his memory, please!" AscendedOphanimon pleaded one final time with her counterpart, hoping to get through to her, only for Dark Tiamatmon to snarl at her.

"His memory is the only thing keeping me going, pushing me forward! I will end this miserable existence for him!" Dark Tiamatmon spat back in a hateful tone, just as TyrantVeedramon flew next to her, while AscendedVeedramon moved close to AscendedOphanimon, where both Ascended and Dark Ascended prepared to continue this battle, not matter the cost.

-Meanwhile-

In another area of the Digital World, all ten ten Legendary Warriors, in their Human Spirit forms, alongside the Digimon Tamers, Azumi and Kaduchimon, were battling the corrupt forces of the Dark King around them, battling Dark Digimon that included BlackWarGreymon, BlackMetalGarurumon and others, along with newer Shadow Demons than the ones they had seen before, some of which held the appearance of dark energies encased in black armour, and some that resembled demonic dogs as they attacked the heroes.

"Geez! Just how many of these things are there?!" Beetlemon questioned as he threw another thunderous punch into the face of a dark hound, causing it to disperse before his eyes, only to see the dark forces regrouping.

"Shut up and keep fighting!" Kazemon let out in reply from above, delivering a swift kick to a winged version of the Dark Warrior demons, knocking it down as more came flying at her, only for Gallantmon: CM and Beelzemon: BM to come to her aid, cutting and blasting through their aerial enemies.

"We just need to hold them off until Davis and Kari can beat their counterparts!" Sakuyamon then yelled as she unleashed a blast of blue flame, dissolving a few Reaper Agents that came at her, the shaman Digimon having full faith in her two friends to end this madness.

"Sakuyamon speaks the truth. We need to hold this line and let our friends do what they must." Kaduchimon said, expressing his respect toward Sakuyamon and their friends, before expressing his strength and cut clean through a DexDorugoramon that charged at him, ready to take down several more that surrounded him.

"Yeah, but what if that's what those freaks want?!" HiAndromon questioned aloud as he fired off a great blast of atomic energy at his foes, his allies continuing to focus on the battle, rather than let that worry consume them.

Not too far off, Phoenixmon, BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon found themselves battling a large Shadow Demon, resembling a dragon of dark energy, which Shadowknight and the older TK had informed them was called a Nightmare, where the draconic demon let out a loud cry as it prepared to fight.

"Ok... this is starting to get out of hand..." Matt remarked through his Biomerged form as he looked at BlitzGreymon and Phoenixmon, where Sora remained on her partner's head with a smile.

"It doesn't matter. Davis and Kari are counting on us here, so we have to keep fighting." The Digidestined of Love said in reply, placing her hand lightly on Phoenixmon's head, as well as looking at BlitzGreymon, before saying with a smile. "Even if we go down, we'll go down doing what we believe is right, and protecting those we love."

Nodding in reply, the three Megas prepared to battle against the Nightmare as more flying Shadow Demons circled them, ready to give their all to protect their world and those they loved.

Back with Izzy, Mimi and Joe, Dark Vikemon let out a feral roar as he clashed with Vikemon, the pair growling at one another as they pushed against each other, their fists clenched as the ground beneath them broke apart, releasing a surging and frigid wind due to their abilities over ice.

Meanwhile, nearby, HerculesKabuterimon and TyrantKabuterimon continued to stare one another down, where Izzy noticed his counterpart looking at him with a blank look.

"Interesting how different things can be between dimensions, though I still believe things would have been easier for you had you accepted Vademon's offer." Dark Izzy remarked, where the Digidestined of Knowledge's eyes widened as realization hit him.

"You... you're me after Vademon took my curiosity, you never took it back." Izzy commented in shock.

"No..." Dark Izzy replied, surprising Izzy, before his counterpart clarified and said. "I am you had Vademon removed your ethics... your morality. I am no longer shackled by the emotions that hold you back. Meanwhile, my Tentomon's personality faded, leaving him the perfect weapon. When the Dark King found us in that void, he offered me knowledge and power beyond what I could imagine, for the price of my servitude. And I will not go back on our deal."

Dark Izzy then held his arms out as a compartment beneath TyrantKabuterimon's second face opened, where cybernetic tendrils emerged and came down, connecting to Dark Izzy's suit, before pulling him back up and inside, the compartment closing as the more human-like head of TyrantKabuterimon began glowing with red eyes.

"Now then, despite the Mimi on my side's bothersome desire, I will kill you both now." Dark Izzy's voice said through TyrantKabuterimon, causing Izzy and his partner to look shocked at seeing that the corrupt Digidestined of Knowledge had merged/infused his consciousness himself with his partner.

"Insect Cannon!" TyrantKabuterimon then bellowed, releasing a large stream of red energy from his mouth towards HerculesKabuterimon, who quickly reacted in reply.

"Mega Electro Shocker!" The Digimon of Knowledge let out as he fired a blast of electricity at TyrantKabuterimon's attack, only to be shocked as the energy beam shot through it and slammed into HerculesKabuterimon's chest, causing him to cry out in pain as he was sent flying backwards.

"HerculesKabuterimon!" Izzy called to the sight as he rushed over, checking to ensure his partner was not in too much pain.

"Predictable. You seek the company of the weak and allow your emotions to weaken you in battle." Dark Izzy said through TyrantKabuterimon in monotone, adding as swarms of insects began to pour from TyrantKabuterimon's body and with a continued indifference. "With one move, I could eliminate the both of you right now. So, any last words?"

"High Mega Blaster!" HerculesKabuterimon let out as energy blasts fired from all four of his hands, moving to strike at TyrantKabuterimon's being, only for the insect swarm to quickly move ahead, taking the hits before they could strike at their Master.

"Pathetic." Dark Izzy remarked as TyrantKabuterimon swung his tail to strike his counterpart, only to be shocked as HerculesKabuterimon caught it, where the Digimon of Knowledge swung his counterpart around and slammed him into a rock face, much to the corrupt Digimon's annoyance.

"Sorry to burst your bubble, but you should know I won't go down that easily!" HerculesKabuterimon declared as he got back up and glared at his counterpart, who turned and glared right back.

"It seems I have forgotten how... defiant you used to be." Dark Izzy remarked from inside TyrantKabuterimon, before adding with a continued indifference. "No matter, you will die here anyways."

As Izzy and his partner fought their counterparts, Mimi looked into the sky with worry as Rosemon was being overpowered by GrandLotosmon, who kept a dark smirk on her face.

Swinging her thorned whip around and toward GrandLotosmon, the corrupted plant-like Digimon kept a dark smile on her face as she swept from side to side, dodging the attacks in a continued joyous and belittling way toward Rosemon.

"Do you ever get tired of being such a goodie goodie and winding up as a loser?" GrandLotosmon asked as she then held out one of her sets of staves and declared. "Serpent Ruin!"

Instantly, a dark beam of energy shot out of the staff at Rosemon, who did her best to move and dodge the attack, only for GrandLotosmon to appear right in front of her, where she gave the Digimon of Serenity a swift kick to the stomach, sending her flying backwards and crashing into the ground below.

"Dark Seven's Fantasia!" The corrupt Digimon then declared, pointing both staves at Rosemon and sending a torrent of dark energy at her, the attack causing Rosemon/the Digimon of Sincerity to shake and cry out in pain on the ground, before reverting back to Palmon, where Mimi quickly rushed to check on her partner.

Scooping Palmon into her arms and holding her close, Mimi looked upon the damaged form that was Palmon, who looked back at her partner with a sorrowful expression.

"I'm sorry, Mimi..." Palmon groaned, feeling weak, that it was her fault others believed less of her partner.

Before Mimi could reply, to ensure her care toward the Digimon of Sincerity, both Digidestined and Digimon felt something land behind them, the pair then turning to see GrandLotosmon looking down upon them with a furthered dark grin.

"You act all caring and sweet, but we both know the truth. Deep down, you're just as vain, arrogant and selfish as me." GrandLotosmon said with a growing grin, hoping to break down her double before breaking her for good.

However, much to her annoyance, Mimi merely glared back at her, her eyes filled with defiance as she looked at the being she could have become.

"You're wrong." Mimi said back, lowering Palmon and taking a stand before the plant Digimon as she told GrandLotosmon. "I started off as rotten as you, but it's thanks to my friends, and thanks to Palmon I was able to change. I have no idea what led you to being such a cruel and horrible person, but the bonds I hold with those close to me have not only turned me into the Mimi you see now, but into one deserving of the Crest of Sincerity."

Keeping her stance before Palmon, her arms spread out to protect her partner against GrandLotosmon's assault, the corrupt Digimon continued to smirk, finding Mimi's reply to be nothing more than a joke to her, before her eyes widened when she, Mimi and Palmon saw a bright light coming from Mimi's pocket, causing her to reach in and pull out her Digivice, seeing her Crest, along with the Crests of Miracles and Light, glowing brightly on it.

Gaining a determined smile, knowing what this meant, Mimi looked and smiled at Palmon, who nodded back, before the pair grinned at GrandLotosmon, who felt her anger rising.

"Biomerge activate!" Mimi and Palmon called out together, causing a blinking light to engulf the pair, and causing GrandLotosmon to back up, snarling in rage as the light faded, revealing a new Digimon in the duo of Sincerity's place.

Confronting GrandLotosmon stood a proud and elegant figure, a noble, mighty and powerful female Digimon, who held similarities in her appearance, both to Mimi and to Palmon's Mega form.

Clad in a long and elegant red dress, the Digimon seemed to hold a sense of Mimi's fashion, which included having her pink hair cascading down her shoulders, while her face was concealed much like Rosemon's, only a decorative crown rested over the Digimon's head rather than a rose.

Having a more mature and appealing figure, the Digimon couldn't help herself as she spun and twirled, showing off her thin waist, her perked up body and her long, slender legs, before coming to a halt, posing as she announced proudly. "Rafflesimon!"

"What?! How... how is she more elegant than me?!" GrandLotosmon let out as she glared at Rafflesimon, while within the Biomerged form of the new Digimon, Mimi felt safe, strong, feeling not only Palmon's warmth around her, but the power given to her by Davis and Kari.

Moving to a fighting stance, the Digimon of Sincerity prepared herself to continue this fight, to stop her double and help her friends save their world, no matter what it would take.
