Kakashi, Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, and Kairi: The New Team Ten
It was so early that the sun hadn't come up yet. The sound of blades being sheathed mingled with the sound of crickets.
Then, a small flame cast some light. Shikamaru used Asuma's lighter.
"Ready to head out?" Ino asked.
"Let's go Shikamaru," Choji encouraged.
"They won't get away this time," Kairi assured.
"Alright," Shikamaru closed the lighter. Team Ten and Kairi looked out the village gate, ready to start the mission.
"Hold it!" They were stopped by Tsunade's voice.
"Milady," Ino whispered.
Kairi frowned, she hoped they could leave without being noticed.
"Going somewhere?" Tsunade asked annoyed.
"Your mission directive still stands right?" Shikamaru asked, "I've just assembled a new team. We're going ahead with the mission."
"Not without my approval you're not," Tsunade snapped as she approached him, "Shikamaru, you will be assigned to a troop of my choosing," then she turned on Kairi, "And Kairi, is not allowed to leave the village until she masters the Rasengan."
"About that," Shikamaru looked to Kairi who summoned her Keyblade. She held in the air and the Rasengan formed on the blade's tip. Tsunade's expression told her that she didn't expect that.
"I would love to demonstrate," Kairi said, but dismissed the jutsu, "But I don't want to cause any property damage to the gate," she looked at Tsunade.
"Regardless," Tsunade bounced back, "We will not attack without a solid attack plan."
"Listen, just send some reinforcements after us," Shikamaru said, "The four of us already worked out a strategy."
"I've heard enough," Tsunade yelled. That caused Ino and Choji to flinch. Kairi had to suppress hers, she couldn't show fear now even if Tsunade could kill with a single punch, "Asuma is dead! There's only four of you."
"That's not true," Shikamaru said, "Asuma's still with us."
"You're after vengeance then," Tsunade accused, "This isn't like you at all. Are you so eager to die? And Kairi, are you willing to risk Naruto's life as well as yours?"
"No," Kairi said, "I've seen what Shikamaru can do. I have faith he can help me protect Naruto." She meant it. Shikamaru's strategy planning was on another level. He could give Xehanort a run for his money! And he cared about the people around him, it was clear, so Kairi was going to trust him.
"We're not stupid," Shikamaru lazily defended, "We have no intention of running straight to our deaths. Believe me, it's just…"
"Well?" Tsunade asked, "Just what?"
"We don't want to run away," Shikamaru answered, "And live without filling our duty," he lit the lighter again, "We're not going to live without meaning, that's why we're going."
After a brief pause Tsunade spoke again, "Grow up you four, the shadow of death hangs over us all. Some deaths are harder to accept than others, but unless you can get past that, there can be no future!"
Kairi could see it. Tsunade was speaking from personal experience. Kairi understood it too. The death her parents and her beloved grandma… they were hard to accept.
However, "We haven't forsaken the future," Kairi said, "We're facing the present before us."
"Carrying this lighter around," Shikamaru added, "It's almost like, Asuma still close by, like he's watching over us. I really feel that. Until I close the book on this thing, his lighter stays with me."
"Face reality," Tsunade said, "You're an incomplete squad."
"There's four of us."
"A complete squad is comprised of four shinobi," Tsunade looked at the red head, "Kairi is not a shinobi, a full squad-…"
"A full squad, has four," everyone looked to see Kakashi had somehow appeared. He was leaning on the side of the gate like an important discussion wasn't happening.
"Kakashi-Sensei?" Ino asked.
"Where did you come from?" Kairi asked.
"I just arrived," he stood up from the post and approached Tsunade, "I'll take over as team ten's leader and go with them? Fair enough?"
"Kakashi, what are you-…"
"It's no use," Kakashi explained, "They're just gonna go anyway. I figured you might as well send me along. To keep an eye on them," he leaned in to whisper, "To make sure they don't go overboard."
Tsunade looked at team ten and Kairi, they all looked determined. She sighed in defeat, "Alright as you wish then."
The group did a small celebration.
"But Kakashi-Sensei," Shikamaru asked, "What about Naruto."
Kakashi raised his bandaged arm.
"What happened to your arm?" Kairi asked, "Did Naruto do something?" He didn't turn into the Nine-Tails and go berserk, did he?
"Oh no, Kairi don't worry. He just doesn't need me at the moment. Besides he's got another squad captain." He must had been talking about Yamato.
"Man, that guy," Shikamaru said.
Kakashi approached them, "Alright, Team Asuma, Kairi, let's go."

Within a hidden cave, the body of Yugito Ni fell to the ground with a thud. Her tailed beast had been extracted.
"The two-tails is sealed, only four more to go."
"Ugh, finally," the astral projection of Hidan said!
"Let's go to the Leaf Hidan," Kakazu said, "The Key Seal holder and the cash cow are there."
"The Leaf?" Deidera asked, "Kakazu Hidan, if you're really headed for Leaf, you should know that the Nine-Tails Jinchuriki is there. Be careful if you run into him."
"Oh, is that right," Hidan taunted, "So says the little weakling who failed so miserably, had his arm reattached by Kakazu, and lost to that little girl!"
"At least 'the little girl' didn't chop off his head," Kakazu reminded.
"What? Hey Kakazu, who's side are you on anyway? I thought we were partners; partners are supposed to-…"
"Shut up Hidan!" Kakazu snapped, "Let's go," they released the jutsu to return to their bodies.

Team Ten had wound up in an area, full of large white trees. But they were dead, honestly everything looked dead and dry to Kairi. There were no leaves or grass anywhere. And the footprints they followed had faded.
Kakashi stood to confirm that, "As I feared, the rain has wiped away any trace of their tracks. What do you suggest we do now?"
"I can try looking for them," Kairi suggested, "I'm a sensory type. After meeting them, I know how their chakra's feel, so I know what I'm looking for."
"We don't know if that will work," Shikamaru said, "We need to cover a large area."
"I have an idea," Kairi summoned her Keyblade, "I don't know if it will work, but it's better than nothing."
"That's true," Kakashi said. He watched Kairi focus on the strange weapon. Ever since he first saw it, he couldn't help but think it suited her. The Uzumaki were famous for their sealing jutsu, it only made sense for a sealer to have a key.
Kairi focused her chakra through her Keyblade, then she activated her sensory power. She sent it out, like a sonar. Kairi was pleased when she felt it go further than normal. She was right, the Keyblade could amplify her sensory ability. Soon, she picked up to chakra signatures.
"There you are," Kairi said.
"You found them?"
"I think so," Kairi said, "They're North East."
"I think we should make sure first," Shikamaru said.
"How?"
He looked up at a bird flying above them, "That's how."

Kairi sat next to Ino's body. Seeing Ino's motionless body brought back unpleasant memories. The others assured her, that she would be okay, that she did her mind transfer jutsu several times in the past. Just in case Kairi used her sensory power to keep an eye on her chakra. It was still in the bird that was flying toward the locations Kairi found.
Kairi looked up, "Her chakra's coming back."
Ino shot up with a startled yelp, she looked thoroughly shocked. That made everyone look at her worried.
"Are you okay," Kairi placed a hand on her shoulder.
"I'm okay."
"Did they spot you?" Shikamaru asked.
"I think we're okay," Ino said, "Kairi was right. It's them."
Everyone stood up. Kairi took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. She glanced at Shikamaru who was probably thinking the same thing as her.
Round two. This time, we're going to win.
"Alright," Kakashi said, "Lets go."
Hidan and Kakazu walked along the path to the Leaf.
Kairi? Are we clear?
Yes, I cleared out the Heartless. Do it now.
Like a snake, Shikamaru's shadow slithered from behind a tree. Slowly, towards the Akatsuki.
"Hidan."
"I know."
The dangerous criminals jumped away from the approaching shadow. As they did, two kunai with paper bombs attached were launched at them. Hidan was immortal, but he couldn't handle being blown to bits. He used the long metal cord of his scythe to block the explosion.
Both bombs went off. The one for Hidan destroyed his cable, but his scythe which was still intact, flew behind him embedding itself into the ground, "Kakazu!"
"I hardened my arm, I'm fine," Kakazu jumped out of the smoke, "Just watch out for the shadows."
The shadow forked into two and reached for them both. They quickly gained distance.
"Heh, we won't fall for that again."
"Hidan above you!" Kakazu spotted Shikamaru above them throwing another set of Kunai, "More paper bombs, Hidan look out."
They dodged the kunai that landed in the ground next to them. They braced for an explosion; but none came, the paper didn't detonate. However, when they tried to move, they realized they couldn't.
"We've been had," Kakazu growled.
Kairi watched as Shikamaru explain that the kunai were actually Asuma's chakra blades. He infused them with his Shadow Possession Jutsu, so they couldn't move. Once again Kairi was amazed by Shikamaru's strategy skills.
Serious, if he was with us during the Keyblade war, things would have gone differently.
Maybe he didn't need her help after all- wait!
A couple Shadow Heartless rose behind Shikamaru as he began to use his Shadow Possession Jutsu. If he noticed, he didn't show it.
Kairi quickly did her job in the plan. She threw her Keyblade in a strike raid and destroyed the first on. Then teleported to her Keyblade, infused chakra and destroyed them in a single stroke.
"Thanks," Shikamaru whispered.
"No problem," Kairi looked at him, she then shot a glare at the Akatsuki, "Let's wrap this up."
"Right," Shikamaru continued to use his Shadow possession Jutsu. Now safe with Kairi clearing out the shadow Heartless. Kairi watched Shikamaru's shadow connect with Hidan's again. Hidan then took Shikamaru's pose. Then a tendril of Shikamaru's shadow rose from the ground and pulled Asuma's chakra blade free. Kairi had to suppress an urge to attack it. She kept telling herself, 'it's not a Heartless,' over and over again.
"Hey, what are you doing?"
"Just want to make sure we get it right this time," Shikamaru said.
"Yeah," Kairi added, "You said it yourself, we shouldn't pick the wrong target first. We're just making sure we get it right."
Shikamaru began to move, making Hidan move with him. He made Hidan move back until he reached where he scythe fell. Then he made Hidan pick up his weapon.
"I never forget a face kid," Hidan growled as he struggled to regain control, "Someday I'm going to find you and kill you. And that red haired bitch too. When we extract the Nine-Tails I'll kill you myself."
Kairi glared at him, "I'd love to see you try."
Shikamaru then started running. Making Hidan run towards Kakazu with his weapon, "Oh man, you really don't get it do you?"
Shikamaru jumped, Hidan forced to mimic the action, towards Kakazu, "Kakazu duck!" Just as the scythe was about to take of Kakazu's head. Kakazu's hand came through the ground and grabbed the chakra blade, pulling it free from his shadow, and giving Kakazu back the power to move his body; just in time for him to duck.
"What?" Kairi asked in disbelief.
"Alright!"
Kairi and Shikamaru looked at the hand. It was no longer attached to Hidan's body, but a mess of black tentacles. Kairi swore she heard a heart beat coming from that mess. When Kakazu got to a safe distance, the tentacles reached towards him, and began to reattach to his arm.
"I guess it's not quite all over yet," Kakazu said as the black sinew began to feed back into his arm and slowly rejoined his hand, "As you can plainly see, my abilities are countless. You'd be wise and retreat to plan your next move. That is, if you're smart like my partner here. Just remember, all the battle plans you make mean nothing, when the situation on the ground doesn't go as calculated."
While Shikamaru was glaring at Kakazu, Hidan started yelling, "Kakazu! What do you mean unlike my partner here?"
"Just what I said you idiot."
Kairi couldn't help but think, And here I thought Pete and Maleficent were a match made in Hell.
Shikamaru then made Hidan attack Kakazu. Kairi trailed behind him to make sure no Heartless snuck up on them.
"I can't control my body," Hidan panicked, "Do something Kakazu! Do something!"
"Me?" Kakazu asked as he jumped back dodging the attacks, "What's wrong with you?" Eventually Kakazu's back hit one of the large trees. That was when Kairi remembered the next step of the plan.
Then Choji will…
Choji jumped from the tree. He started to spin really fast into a ball as his hair began sharp and jagged, "Spikey Human Boulder!" Before slamming into Kakazu below.
"Kakazu!"
It appeared that last attack took him down. But Kairi knew better than to assume. While she had every intention to end this, she couldn't help but think, Naruto, if you don't hurry up. I'll beat them before you get here.

Naruto sat in the giant crater as Captain Yamato explained the positive and negative relations ships between the five chakra natures… or tried to. Naruto wasn't getting it.
"Alright, let's look at it this way," Captain Yamato began, "Naruto, that wind style jutsu of yours will always loose against Sasuke's fire style."
"Huh?" Naruto asked.
"Only water style, beats fire style," Yamato explained. Water style, like Kairi.
"But why is my wind style no good against fire?" Naruto asked.
"Well, try and picture it in your mind, with fire when the wind hits it, it only makes the flames burn higher," Yamato explained. Naruto imagined himself blowing on a campfire, "On the other hand, if you douse the fire with water, it goes out," Naruto then imagined Kairi dumping a bucket of water on the camp fire, "So if you hit Sasuke's fire style with a wind style of equal strength. It will only create a bigger fire style jutsu that he can deflect back at you."
Naruto did not like the sound of that.
"However, take a look at the circle," Yamato pointed to the diagram he drew to explain the chakra natures relationships, "Wind maybe inferior to fire, yet on the other hand it's superior to lightning. Which means your new jutsu will be superior to Sasuke's lightning style Chidori. Naruto you're lucky be happy your change in nature wasn't earth."
Naruto looked at the chart. Sasuke had fire style, and Kairi had water style. If she managed to utilize water style justu, she could hold her own against Sasuke, but…
"What if water nature went up against lightning nature?"
"Well, it's not as bad as earth nature, but water is susceptible to lightning nature. It wouldn't be wise for someone with water nature to go up against someone with lightning."
Naruto then imagined Kairi attacking Sasuke with water, but then he used lightning style and Kairi screamed as she was electrocuted. He grimaced at the thought.
Don't think about that, you'll fight Sasuke, think about that.
That's right, he was going to fight Sasuke. Not Kairi. His wind chakra nature, was a good match, "So then I'm… a perfect match for Sasuke."
"Well, yeah. Wind beats lightning certainly."
"No, that's not what I meant. What I meant was, only my wind can assist and magnify his fire," Naruto started thinking ahead. After he saved Sasuke. Another thought came to mind, "Could my wind, assist Kairi's water?"
"Yes," Yamato said, "On both accounts."

Choji shot from the dust cloud and landed next to Shikamaru and Kairi.
"You okay?" Kairi asked Choji.
"Yeah, but what I want to know is what's going on?"
"I knew it," Shikamaru said, "It's just like Rido said before," Kakazu emerged from the smoke. What visible skin was seen, was black, changing back to it's original tan, "He has some kind of Jutsu that allows him to harden his body, that's his special ability."
Kairi frowned, that made this harder.
"Good eye," Kakazu hummed, "Yes it's true, physical attacks are virtually useless against me."
Everyone felt nervous. Hidan then laughed, "Be afraid, be afraid you ignorant heathens. Kakazu, let's counterattack. Come on, hurry up and undo this idiotic jutsu already."
"Right."
Kairi got ready to defend. If it came to it, she would you her barrier.
Kakazu's shout of pain, pierced the air, along with Kakashi's Chidori. Kakazu was dangling from Kakashi's lightning attack. Said ninja was behind him, as lightning shot out of Kakazu's chest.
While Kairi was grateful for the assist, she couldn't help but wonder; if Naruto looked like that when Sasuke tried to kill him.
"But how," Kakazu moaned, "I didn't even sense your approach."
"Sorry about that," Kakazhi said.
"Hey," Hidan whined, "What the hell is going on? What's all that crap a bout physical attacks being useless against you?"
"Yeah, how?" Shikamaru said awestruck, "How did you get behind the guy, Kakashi-Sensei."
"I saw everything, including that flesh hardening jutsu of yours. From the signs you were weaving it's an earth style Jutsu isn't it?" Kakashi asked rhetorically.
"You were able to read… and interpret my signs? So, quickly, and you're mastery of the lightning style jutsu… wait that's it," Kakazu realized, "You're Kakashi of the Sharingan!"
Kairi was impressed. Sometimes she forgot Kakashi could be so amazing.
"Earth style is inferior to lightning style. Today isn't your lucky day. You're done for."
"Turn the tables just like that, leave it to Kakashi-Sensei," Choji said.
"No wonder Naruto and Sakura look up to him," Kairi agreed.
"Yeah, and we wanted to get rid of the mortal one first, less trouble this way," Shikamaru said, before he grunted. Kairi and Choji looked at him concerned.
"Shikamaru are you okay?" Kairi asked.
"Uh oh," Kairi then noticed the shadow was growing weaker, "Kakashi-Sensei!"
Kakashi realized Shikamaru was at his limit so he pulled his hand free after putting that away.
"Just say the word," Kairi said, "And I'll lop off his head again."
"No, not yet," Shikamaru sad.
"Sucker punch to the heart and you're through?" Hidan asked in disbelief, "I just can't believe it. Just like that, man?"
Kairi looked at Hidan, "He's acting way too calm."
"That's calm?" Choji asked.
"I mean, he's way too casual. They didn't exactly act like close friends, but Hidan's still acting weird."
"She's right," Shikamaru said, "He's way to casual."
Kakashi looked to Hidan, "That's right," he raised his hand and charged it with lightning, "And you're next."
Kakashi charged towards Hidan… only to get kicked back by Kakazu. Kakashi was slammed back into the tree. The shock wave knocked over several other trees.
"What?" Kairi asked.
"After all that tough talk," Hidan mocked, "Who's done for now?"
Kakashi was still alive, but worse for wear. What's going on? I know I got his heart.
"Well alright, let's get this over with shall we?" Hidan called to Kakazu.
"That's the plan," Kakazu removed his coat. Kairi's eyes widened. His body was covered in stitches, almost similar to Sally's body, but what was most shocking, were the four masks that were sewn to his back. One of them was broken though. Kairi knew that was the area Kakashi stabbed through.
Suddenly, Kakazu's body began to wriggle. The seams of the stitches started to stretch, like any minute he would burst. While everyone watched, Shikamaru's shadow possession finally came undone, freeing Hidan.
A second later, the four masks broke out of Kakazu's body. Each one taking the form of a monster.
"Shikamaru, what's going on? What are those things, and why isn't he dead, after he took a hit from the lightning blade?" Choji asked.
"Who knows?" Shikamaru asked, "After going head-to-head with these guys. Nothing surprises me anymore."
"You wanna make a bet?" Kairi couldn't help but ask. Fighting the Akatsuki was certainly terrifying and surprising. But Kairi had seen worse. She had to be strong, they had to be strong, "We can't lose our nerve. Everyone opponent has a weakness. We just have to find it."
"Yeah, I know," Shikamaru said, "But this is going to be a serious drag."
"Now then, shall we let the slaughter begin?" Hidan asked.
"Oh Yes."
Kairi looked at the monsters. They weren't Heartless, but something that Kakazu made. She started thinking about the plan. Shikamaru had thought of a lot of ways the fight would go. She remembered what he said about her.
"Above all, Kairi, you're their target. They need to capture you alive. That means if they get free, they'll target you. They won't be dumb enough to ignore us, but they'll still focus on you."
"I figured."
"I need you to tell me your whole skill set," Shikamaru said, "Explain everything."
"Look Lord Jashin, behold your servant," Hidan suddenly shouted to the sky, "I give myself body and soul to the carnage to come! In your name I'll rip their guts out!"
Kairi tried to be respectful to any religion she came across, but honestly Hidan just sounded like a lunatic.
One of the monsters began to moan. It was the one with the broken mask. Everyone braced for an attack, but the monster just fell to the ground and melted. Huh?
"What happened?" Choji asked.
"It's dead," Kairi stated obviously.
"Kakazu," Hidan complained, "What was that? We put on this big show and one of them drops dead before we even get started. Come on that's pretty lame if you asked me."
"These things can die," Kairi said under her breath, "That's good news for us."
"But how strong are they?"
Hidan started to attack Kakashi. He swung his scythe at him, but Kakashi blocked every strike with his kunai. Kakashi jumped back onto the tree trunk to gain distance. However, one of the monsters appeared behind Hidan.
"Wind Style: Pressure Damage!" The monster released a powerful wind attack. It tore through Hidan to get to Kakashi. And shock wave was so strong it started knocking everything away.
Kairi quickly created a barrier around herself, Shikamaru, and Choji. Her magic shield rattled from the force, but it held.
"Kakashi-Sensei!" Both Choji and Shikamaru called out.
"Kakashi!" Kairi called.
Eventually, the storm did die down. Most of the trees were cleared. Kakazu and his three remaining monsters were left standing.
Kairi dismissed the barrier.
"Kairi," Shikamaru whispered, "Be ready to block again."
Kairi nodded. She told them about her barrier.
"I can make barriers that can block almost any attack," Kairi demonstrated, "Even under special attacks, I can use my barrier to counter, but that only works if the enemy is right next to me. The longest I can keep it up is ten minutes. It's not for hiding, it's for blocking then countering."
"Can you make it large enough to hold a group of people?" Shikamaru asked.
"The widest I can make it is a ten-meter radius," Kairi explained.
Shikamaru took in Kairi's power, "That's a good defense, but only use it if you need it. If they see you can make that they will try to separate you from us, so we'll be defenseless."
None of them knew they had such a powerful attack. Kairi had to use her barrier to defend them already. It was why Kairi dismissed it. They didn't know how long she could hold the barrier or how fast she could put it up.
"Lightning Style: False Darkness."
One of the other monsters sent a strong electric attack. Kairi wasn't sure she could put up her barrier in time. Thankfully, Kakashi jumped in front of them. Alive, missing his headband and vest, but alive. He started using his lightning style to deflect the attack.
Kairi quickly put of the barrier giving Kakashi a minute to rest, as Kairi held off the attack. When it was over, Ino landed next to them.
"Are you okay?"
"Well, I'm alive," Kakashi said.
Hidan walked up next to Kakazu, "We're not going to get anywhere if she keeps protecting them," Hidan said annoyed.
"Agreed."
Something wrapped around Kairi's ankle. Before she could react or look down. She was thrown to the side away from Team Ten.
"Kairi!"
She looked down, to see Kakazu's black tendril was pulling her through the air.
"Blizzard!" Kairi quickly froze it and got free.
"Fire Style: Searing Migraine." Kairi watched the fire attack erupt towards the team. She shot towards them to help but…
"Oh no you don't you little bitch!" Kairi quickly blocked the three bladed scythe. Kairi started fighting with Kakazu.
"This time, when I cut your head off, keep it off," Kairi snapped as she jumped over one of Hidan's swings. She blocked the next one before swinging at him. He dodged. When he attacked this time, Kairi raised her barrier and when the scythe bounced backwards, she activated the counter blast that knocked him back. Kairi threw her Keyblade, but he regained his footing and blocked. However, Kairi teleported to her Keyblade and slammed it down on his scythe as he blocked.
Kairi raised her other hand, "Keyblade Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Kairi created a clone of her Keyblade in her free hand, ready to take Hidan's head again.
"Not this time," Hidan kicked her in the stomach. Sending her back. Just as Hidan was about to advance. Kakashi appeared and started to fight him.
Kairi quickly regained her footing.
"Kairi are you okay?" Team Ten quickly appeared next to her.
"Yeah," Kairi nodded, dismissing the clone of her weapon.
Kakashi dropped near them.
"Thanks, Kakashi," Kairi said, "Are you alright?"
"Yeah, but I've used the lightning blade four times with the Sharingan," Kakashi explained. Kairi understood, he was burning through too much chakra too fast. She looked at her Keyblade, if she could she'd use her Keyblade to amplify his chakra and help him.
"I don't get it, Kakashi-Sensei got him with the lightning blade," Choji said, "Why isn't he dead?"
"You're right, but instead I got one of the monsters that sprang from his body. I suspect it died in his place."
"Probably," Shikamaru said, "Just look at the way he dodged my Shadow Possession Shuriken. He detached his arm, with what looked like a beating heart and it was moving all on it's own."
"Okay, so what does that mean?" Choji asked.
"Best guess," Shikamaru thought, "those dark figures with him, not to mention the mask guy himself. All have separate hearts, and yet all five of them, are his."
"What?" Ino, Choji, and Kairi said.
"That's impossible!"
"One less though," Shikamaru said, "Thanks to Kakashi-Sensei."
"Good eye once again," Hidan remarked, "Each of these hearts are from a shinobi I fought and got the better of."
Nice way of saying killed.
"By the way," Hidan called, "You Leaf folk, you bury your dead? Because knowing Kakazu he'll want to go digging for that cash cow of his."
Kairi glared at them. They better not be talking about Asuma!
"He was already a downer thought, seriously the guy with the beard went down like it was nothing you know. Had to have a little girl protect him. Where the hell's the fun in that huh?"
"Big talk, coming from the man who got his head chopped off by that little girl!" Kakazu mocked
"Kakazu!" Hidan turned on him, "Shut the hell up!" He turned back to Team Ten, "So then, I know you're looking for revenge, but I think you're out of your league here. You four are just pups. You four must had been his students then."
Kairi glowered at him with the rest of Team Ten. She wasn't Asuma's student, but he did give advice. Thanks to him, she could now infuse chakra into her Keyblade. She respected him just as much as Team Ten
"Well, with a loser like that guy teaching ya. Ya pretty much screwed."
"Don't insult Asuma-Sensei!" Choji snarled.
"Choji," Shikamaru tried to calm him down.
"Aw, the loving bond between teacher and student, heh what a load."
"You piece of-…"
"Choji!"
"What, you're not bent out of shape over that chump, Fatso?"
That pushed Choji over the edge. He charged forward, enlarging his arms out to attack Hidan. Hidan would have hit Choji if Shikamaru hadn't stopped him with Shadow Possession Jutsu. But now Choji was a sitting duck. Hidan advanced again, only to be intercepted by Kakashi.
Hidan and Kakashi started their fight again, running up one of the trees. With Hidan distracted, Shikamaru released the justu. Choji fell on his back.
"You moron. Don't let him egg you on like that anymore," Shikamaru called, "Okay."
"Sorry."
Shikamaru's face turned into panic, when Kakazu appeared in front of Choji. Choji got up to punch him with his enlarged arms, but Hidan caught them easily. Hidan then punched Choji in the face, dazing him long enough to elbow him into a tree.
"Choji!"
Kakazu was over Choji again, in seconds ready to attack. However, he looked up and jumped back. Just in time to avoid the giant chakra chain that slammed between them.
Kakazulooked to see Kairi retracting her chain. Standing between him and Choji, "I'm your target not him!"
Kakazu narrowed his eyes, "With those chains, you look just like Mito Uzumaki."
"Don't talk to me about Lady Mito," Kairi threw her Keyblade, "Shadow Shuriken Jutsu!" Kakazu managed to dodge the several clones of the Keyblade that now littered the battlefield. Kairi summoned the original, she was ready to fight.
Stopping here. The chapter was getting to long.
Again, bad at fight scenes
