Autor's Note: apologies for the longish delay. I wrote many of these drabbles out of order as a word or idea jumped out, but I couldn't think of what to write for this one. It is also written in a style I am very inexperienced with but have wanted to try for several years now; so while I apologize to anyone who actually is skilled with this type of poetry, I'm personally kind of proud that I finally sat down and tried to write something in it. Also, bonus points to anyone who knows what style of poetry I was trying to use.

Romaunt: n. an outlandish story in verse

Mired and miffed a Major came,
Bold and bound a "bah" to say.
But humbug is as humbug has
A past with people in repast.
In darkest night disturbance dallies
With ghosts and ghastly ghouls aflight.

Of time before teach things forgot,
"Grand of old, great things grown weak
Look now below and long again."

Of present peoples a pungent blow,
"You see the sorrows, a solemn curse
For remembrance is revenge to come."

What's now next faint winds will whisper,
"Should you win, yon future's yours,
A place of plenty, now plowed empty."

Choice must show what change achieved.
