Kurt had the urge to go and see Sebastian. It had been days since he last seen him. It wasn't because he wanted to see him, it was because he needed to know if he was suffering. Kurt slipped away while the others was talking and told them he needed to call Finn. He felt guilty but they wouldn't let him go on his own otherwise. David had been in and out a lot making sure he was feeding so Kurt would retain his health. He really loved his family. They looked after him. He made it to the tiny hatch and opened it and slipped through. He climbed down the set of stairs and made his way through the underground dungeon. He rolled his eyes. It literally was a dungeon. A few seconds later he was by Sebastian cell. He peered in. He was sitting on the floor staring at the wall.

"Have you lost your mind yet?" Kurt said sweetly. Sebastian smirked and turned towards Kurt.

"Oh hello gorgeous. Fancy seeing you here?"

Kurt rolled his eyes and leaned in closer and rested his hands on the bars. He knew Sebastian wouldn't try anything with him. It was far past that.

"I'm going now. Goodbye Sebastian." Kurt said smirking and he leaned away from the bars and started to walk away.

"Oh come on! Are you fucking serious?" Sebastian shouted out with a laugh.

"Goodbye Sebastian." Kurt said again as he walked away. Yep. Still sane.

Kurt got to the stairs and climbed up and shut it quickly. He moved the rug over and the table. He started to make his way back to the others. He didn't feel one bit guilty for leaving him. He would tell the others he went to see Sebastian but not before. He walked into the room and walked back over to the bed and sat down.

"How's Finn?" Blaine asked smiling at his boyfriend.

"I lied. I went to see Sebastian."

"You're kidding?" Blaine asked frowning.

"I needed to see if he had lost his mind yet." Kurt said with a shrug.

"Has he?" Thad said turning to Kurt.

"Nope. Still an asshole." Kurt said rolling his eyes.

"You shouldn't go there on your own Kurt." Thad said worried.

Thy all laughed and Thad looked up confused.

"Trust me bro, if there is anyone who is trusted to be on his own with Sebastian it's little kurtie here." David said laughing.

"What did you do?" Thad said wide eyed.

"You don't need to know. I was crazy." Kurt said with a laugh.

"You still are." Wes said grinning and Kurt just grinned back.

They all started to tell Thad everything. The connection, the turning of his humanity and the fight between him and Sebastian. Thad was laughing uncontrollably throughout it all.

"You drank Vervain? You are fucking crazy!" Thad said holding his stomach laughing.

"I was having a moment." Kurt said nudging him.

"Remind me never to get to your bad side."

They was all thankful it was Saturday. There was no way any of them was prepared for classes after the night they had. They was all lounging in Kurt's room still but Kurt was in between Blaine and Wes. His head was on Blaine's shoulder and his hand was wrapped in Wes's hand. They was all chatting to each other and it was just so relaxing. Kurt shut his eyes, he felt a migraine coming on so he just listened in. His friends voice was soothing him. He wondered what his like would have been like if he didn't come back to Dalton. Shit show most likely. He felt Wes squeeze his hand and he smiled.

~Stop listening in you.

Wes squeezed his hand again.

I can't help it. I worry about you and that dangerous mind of yours.

Kurt smiled into Blaine's shoulder.

~What did you hear?

Shit show most likely.

Kurt chuckled a little and squeezed Wes's hand back.

~I was thinking about what my life would have been like if I didn't return to Dalton.

Don't think about it darling, it's all in the past.

~I can't help it. My mind is permanently on a loop.

"Are you okay kurtie?" Jeff asked his best friend.

"More than okay. I'm just resting my eyes." Kurt said smiling with his eyes closed. "Are you okay mon monde?"

Jeff smiled but frowned. That was a new one. David looked over to Kurt and smiled.

"I'm okay baby."

Jeff turned to David, they all did. Kurt still had his eyes closed smiling. David didn't want to speak so he thought it.

My world

Jeff smile softened and looked back over to Kurt. He's breaking my heart. Nick held him tighter when he heard what Kurt had called him. It was adorable. Kurt was extremely sweet sometimes. Their bond was unbreakable. It all broke their hearts hearing Kurt say that but in a good way. Kurt was doing really good. Apart from the odd breakdown he was handling things very well. Kurt's head was booming. He felt like he was getting stabbed in his brain. He lifted his hand up to his head to try and block the rest of the light.

"Are you sure you're okay?" Blaine said glancing down at him. He ran a comforting hand down his arm.

"My eyes are sensitive today." Kurt said still keeping his eyes closed.

David leaned over and flicked the switch off and turned the lamp on instead.

"Thank you."

They continued talking for a while. The headache was getting worse. Kurt squeezed his eyes shut. The pain was shooting to the back of his eyes. His breath stuttered a little but he kept focusing on their voices.

"Kurt are you sure you're okay?" Thad said concerned. He could see that Kurt was hiding the pain.

"Yeah I'm good." Kurt said smiling through it. Wes could feel kurt's hand shake in his and he turned his head.

"Kurt." Wes said sternly.

"Mmm?"

"Please tell me you're okay." Wes said lifting a hand up to his forehead but Kurt flinched a little at the touch.

"I just have a headache. I'm fine honestly." Kurt whispered turning to Wes.

"You shouldn't be having headaches Kurt, you're a Vampi-

Blaine shot up and left the room quickly.

"Where is he going?" Kurt asked quickly panicking. Wes gently pushed him back down. They was all standing up quickly following Blaine.

"Wes what's going on?" Kurt said in pain as he hand shot up to his nose and it started to bleed and become heavily bruised. Wes pulled him in closer and kissed him on the forehead gently.

"Sebastian." Wes said running fingers through his hair.

Sebastian was banging his head against the wall. Not heavy enough to knock himself out but just enough for a raging headache. He had broke his nose also for good measure.

"What the fuck are you doing Symthe?" Blaine spat out.

"Banging my head against the wall. What does it look like I'm doing Anderson? I'm not knitting a sweater." Sebastian said smirking and carrying on with what he was doing.

"Can you stop that? You're hurting Kurt." Jeff said low. He was this close to running in and breaking his neck but he knew he couldn't

"Hey Thad. How're you doing?" Sebastian said smirking and Thad stepped back from the bars.

"Do you have to be a asshole all the time? Don't you get tired?" Nick said with his arms round his body.

"Nope, never."

Kurt was curled into Wes. The headache had stopped which is was grateful for. He placed a kiss to his collarbone and looked up.

"Do you think this will end?"

"Which darling."

"The connection. Mine and Sebastian's."

Wes thought about it. He hoped it did but he honestly didn't know, none of them knew.

"I hope so." Wes said sweetly and held him tighter.

"I would do anything for you, you know that right?" Kurt and quietly. Wes swallowed and nodded.

"Me too."

The headache had started again. It was worse this time. Wes was trying to shield him from the light but it wasn't working. He groaned in pain.

"I can't take this much longer." Kurt said pissed off and Wes's side.

"Kurt don't entertain him."

"How can I not? My head is this close from falling off Wes!"

He wasn't lying. The headaches was blinding and there was a gash by his hair line and bruising was all over his forehead and it trailed down his nose and to the sides of it. Wes knew better to argue with him so he agreed. They got there pretty quickly.

"He won't stop baby I'm sorry." Blaine said walking over and kissing him briefly on the lips.

"It's okay. Where's the keys?" Kurt said turning towards David and he knew also by the tone of his voice not to argue. He took the keys out and throw them to Kurt and he caught them. Kurt made his way to the cell door and opened it and stepped through. He walked over to Sebastian and sat down in front of him. He wasn't scared. He knew he wouldn't try anything. He lifted his gaze to meet him.

"What do you want Sebastian?" Kurt said softly.

"You know what I want Kurt. I want you." Sebastian said quickly back.

"You can't have me so what do you want?" Kurt said again.

"I just want to be with you. Why can't you understand that?" Sebastian said tiredly looking up again. "Do you think I enjoy hurting you?"

Kurt swallowed and crawled over to him and sat next to him. He rested his head on the wall copying Sebastian.

"I'm so tired Seb." Kurt said turning towards him. "I can't do this anymore."

"I know." Sebastian said turning back around and closing his eyes.

"I can't force myself to love you. I can't force myself to want to be with you but." Kurt said closing his eyes. "I can still be your friend. I'll never forget what you did to me, to us but I'm willing to forgive and move on from this if you just let me."

Sebastian turned towards Kurt and he looked at him. He really wasn't lying. Kurt kept his gaze, never breaking it.

"We are killing each other Sebastian. It's not healthy." Kurt said with a little laugh and Seb joined in.

"Look. Why don't you come upstairs for a while? This is the first step right? Trusting each other." Kurt said standing up and holding his hand out for him. Sebastian looked like he was about to cry and like that horrible smirk plastered his face.

"I don't think so. I'm good here doll face."

Kurt looked at him and nodded and lowered his hand down to his side. "Suit yourself."

Kurt turned around and walked away, opening the door and shutting it behind him, locking it and throwing the keys towards David. They was all shocked at Kurt's change or tone and the way he spoke to Sebastian.

"Come on. Let's go." Kurt said smiling and grabbing his boyfriends hand.

They made their way to the common room and shut the latch over.

"I'm just so tired of fighting with him, hurting each other. I thought the nice approach would work but I guess not. He'll never change." Kurt said towards them and sitting down on the sofa. "I thought it we started to trust him again, he wouldn't feel inclined to pull any cards out."

"No matter how hard you try baby, some people will just never change." Jeff said sitting down next to his and placing a kiss to his head.

"He's never going to learn so why are we still wasting are time on him? He's not worth it." Nick added and Kurt nodded.

"I know Nicky. I just feel like we need to do something. It worries me." Kurt replied back. "How you feeling Thad?"

"It's been a while since I've seen him but I'm okay, honestly." Thad said and they smiled at eachother.

"Worrying won't change the outcome beautiful." Blaine said sweetly and Kurt smiled at him.

"I'm gonna go call Finn for real this time." Kurt said laughing and pulled out his phone and made his way out the room. He dialled the number and waited.

Hey bro!

"Hey you! I've missed you! How's you and Carol? How's Carol's sister?"

I'm good man. Mom is struggling and auntie is in pretty bad shape.

"I'm so sorry Finn."

Kurt made his way to the kitchen and started to pull out a can of soda from the fridge.

It's okay man. I've missed you too it's not the same without you

"When are you back?" Kurt said wondering as he opened the can balancing the phone on his shoulder.

I'm back Monday for school man. How's the whole vampy thing going on?

Kurt laughed. "Better. I can control it a lot more now which is a god send."

That's good. So I can see you soon and actually hug you without the worry on you eating my neck?

"Yes Finn. You can hug me." Kurt said rolling his eyes. He really missed his brother. He had spent so long with him and this is the longest he's went without him since he came back.

"Tell mom I'm thinking about her okay? I love you both so much."

We love you too. Bye bro!

"By bro." Kurt said smiling and he heard laughing on the other end and the phone cut off. He couldn't wait to see them. He finished his drink and made his way back to the others.

"How's Finn and Carol?" Blaine said smirking and Kurt rolled his eyes playfully.

"Finns good and Mom not so much." Kurt said sitting down. "Auntie is suffering."

"I'm sorry." Wes said placing a hand on his. He felt instantly relaxed.

"I was wondering if I could go out today." Kurt said looking at him all.

"I don't know Kurt." Blaine said slowly and turning towards him. Kurt nodded.

"It's been ages. I just feel like I'm stuck here you know? I just would like to go and see my mom and dad."

The rest of Burt's ashes was scattered over his Moms grave. They had the stone removed and a new one placed with both of their names on. He hasn't been there since the funeral and they all knew that.

"Go and get dressed." Blaine said smiling at him.

"Really?" Kurt said excitedly and laughed. "You're not gonna change your mind are you?"

"Nope. We will come with you, won't we guys?"

"What of we will come! I would like to see them too." Jeff said sweetly and Kurt leaned over and kissed him.

"Of course man." David said smiling. David knew how much seeing them meant to him.

"I'll go and get ready. I'll grab the muzzles and leads Blaine." Nick said smirking and the whole room went up in laughter.

"Hey!" Kurt and Jeff shouted at the same time.

"Can I come?" Thad said and Kurt grinned.

"Please."

They all was getting ready. They knew this was a big thing for Kurt going outside and seeing his parents so they all wanted to be there to support him. Kurt put a pair of jeans and a hoodie. Wes's hoodie. Kurt smiled and looked down. It was a little big on him but it was so comfortable. He made Wes wear it so it would smell of him. Fucking weirdo.

He finished getting ready and made his way out his door. He seen Wes leave his room and he shouted over.

"Hey!" Kurt said excitedly and walked over to Wes and hugging him.

"You're wearing my hoodie." Wes said smirking into his neck.

"It's comfy and smells like you. I thought it would help you know? The bonding thing. Relax me a little when I go out." Kurt said leaning over and kissing them. It was a brilliant idea. Wes never thought of that.

"You look beautiful." Wes said laughing and looking to the floor. Kurt beamed and lifted his head.

"I love you. Thank you for doing this with me."

"I love you too and always Kurt. Come on, let's go and see your mom and dad."

They dropped each others hands as they got out there wing. They didn't want anyone to see them. They seen then all waiting at the reception for them.

"Hey guys!" Jeff said running over and hugging them both. "You ready hot stuff?"

"Fuck yeah." Kurt said and laughed.

Blaine walked over and Kurt leaned in for a kiss. "Rules Kurt."

Kurt groaned and they all laughed. "Lay them on me gorgeous."

"The sun will most definitely hurt your eyes. You're not use to real lightening okay?" Kurt nodded and listened. Blaine pulled out an expensive pair of Gucci glasses and Kurt smirked. "Jeff picked them for you."

"You know me so well mon monde." Kurt said blowing a kiss to him and they laughed as Jeff caught it.

"Only the best for my baby." Jeff said winking. Blaine pulled them out and Kurt nearly moaned when he seen them. Blaine placed them on his face and smiled.

"You look so good." Blaine said smiling and Kurt rolled his eyes.

"Please, I always look good."

Blaine reached over and pulled out his daylight ring and Kurt was practically bouncing. He reached over to his hand and slid it onto his finger, it fitting perfectly. Blaine was starting at a minute before looking up.

"You're gonna have to wear earphones to block out most of the sound or it'll drive you crazy."

Kurt nodded and Blaine placed the AirPods into his ears and passed him over an new iPod and he rolled his eyes.

"Wes did your playlist. I think you'll be satisfied." Blaine said laughing looking over to Wes and Kurt laughed and turned round and blew him a kiss too and Wes blushed and nodded.

"You tell us if it's to much Kurt. Thad said he'll help if needs be." Blaine added and smiled at Thad.

"Thank you." Kurt said sweetly and Thad nodded.

"It's no problem Hummel."

"Me, Wes you and Thad are going to go in my car." Blaine said and Kurt nodded. "Having the three of us in there will most definitely help you."

"David, Nick and Jeff will go in the other and they'll drive in front. Try and relax baby, don't rush it, don't force it and don't stress. Trust the process and enjoy the ride."'

Kurt grinned and let out a laugh. "Thank you all for everything."

Kurt grabbed Blaine's hand right and Nick and David opened the door. He was hesitant at first.

"What if it doesn't work?" Kurt said glancing down at his ring.

"You're fine baby. It was made for you."

"What if it stops working while I'm out?" Kurt said starting to panic.

"The windows are specially made so no rays can penetrate them. That won't happen but if it does, it that will settle you knowing that then we can take back to the car." Wes said placing a hand on his shoulder.

"Okay." Kurt said nodding and they walked out. They was right. The Sun did hurt. He felt his eyes stunning. He couldn't imagine what it would be like without the glasses. He walked with Blaine and he couldn't help it. He kept turning round to look at everything. It looked so much different now. Everything was so much more detailed and the air smelt crisp and fresh. They was all watching Kurt with a smile on their faces.

"Baby?" Blaine said pulling his boyfriend gently who had stopped to look at some birds that went passed.

"They're so beautiful."

Blaine laughed and nodded. Kurt couldn't take his eyes off them so Blaine gently placed him in the car. Wes sat in the back so Kurt could relax and Thad jumped in the front with Blaine. Kurt was still watching the sky. It was so blue. Wes leaned over and turned the music on softly and shuffled the playlist. The drive was a long one. Kurt barely had his head from out the window. He begged Blaine to open the window so he could see better and Blaine did happily and Wes kept a firm grip on just incase Kurt wanted an escape plan. Kurt's legs was bouncing the music. He hadn't listened to music for a long one. A grin spread his face and the recognisable song played through his eyes. He closed his eyes.

Adagio For Strings

Kurt felt like he couldn't breath, suffocating in the composure. It was the song that was playing when his humanity was switched off. It was so beautiful. Wes heard the song and turned to Kurt. His eyes was closed. Listening. Kurt turned his head a little and opened his eyes and smiled and Wes smiled back too. Kurt chuckled feeling getting emotional and turned back. Wes slotted his fingers with Kurt and turned back forward too. They didn't need to say anything, they just knew. Kurt had played it six times. It was calming him, soothing his mind and distracting him from everything else. Blaine looked at Wes through the mirror and nodded with a smile plastered on his face. Another five minutes and they had pulled up. It was a beautiful graveyard. It was bright and the flowers hung from the trees, it didn't look dark and full of death, it was light and full of life. Kurt turned his head and looked for a minute. He remembered the day like it was yesterday. His mom and his dad. They still had a funeral for Burt even though his ashes wasn't spread yet. They wanted to give Kurt the proper service so her could grieve.

"Take your time Kurt." Blaine said smiling at him and he just nodded. Jeff, Nick and David had made their way over to the car and was talking to the others but Kurt zoned out. They didn't push him. After a few more minutes Kurt lifted his hand and opened the car door and stepped out. They followed his actions and waited for the next one. Kurt was just leaning against the car. The music was still playing softly in his ears and then he just started to walk. He knew exactly where it is, every weekend he would come to visit his mom without fail. He felt like he was a robot but he didn't feel crippled yet. They followed behind him, wanting to give him space. He got to the grave pretty quickly and just looked at it. The others had sat down, close enough to Kurt so they could be by him but further away so they could give him space. They was started to her worried. He was just starting at it with a tilt in his head. Kurt was reading the stone over an over again.

Kurt read it over and over. It was ingrained in his brain. He slowly crouched and sat down, turning his body round so his back was facing the stone and he laid down and placed his head on the grass and he just closed his eyes and he just started talking. The others watched him with sad eyes and as soon as he started talking it broke their hearts.

"I will never get over the pain of loosing you both. It will remain there for the rest of eternity, embedded deep into my heart till I reach the end of my journey."

He whispered the words out. They could all hear him still. He needed to get everything out.

"I cried endlessly for you both but I promise, I won't let the tears mask the smiles that you've given me when you was alive."

Nick was holding Jeff as the silent tears fell. It was the first time he had opened up about the way he was feeling. The words were beautiful.

""When you didn't have my hand dad, you had my back. There will never be an expiration date on the love I have for you. The day you died wasn't just a date on a calendar, it was the very day my very existence changed forever."

Blaine put his head on Nicks shoulder and he had hold of Wes's hand tightly.

"I get a lot of hugs and love, but none of them are as warm and loving as yours. I miss you so much dad."

Kurt swallowed and a tear fell from his face. He couldn't stop talking. This is what he needed.

"Mom, now I understand why you use to tell me to always be strong when you was sick. You knew that one day I would need the strength to bare both of your losses."

Wes wiped the tears from his eyes quickly. He had never heard anything like it. Blaine seen and leaned over and kissed him on his cheek lovingly and Wes nodded and smiled. Thad was sitting next to David and had his hand round his shoulders.

"Thank you mom, for bringing us Carol. I don't know what I would of done without her."

Blaine looked away for a moment. It was to much. He didn't know how Kurt was keeping himself together.

"I miss you mom." Kurt said softly.

He laid there for a moment before speaking again.

"The worse is over and I'm doing better."

Kurt opened his eyes so he could look at the clouds. He didn't realise how beautiful they were.

"You don't have to worry, I couldn't be in better hands. I have a beautiful family who love me unconditionally. Thank you for bringing me them too."

Kurt laid there for another hour. He didn't speak he just laid with them. He sat up and stood before kissing his hand and placing it on the grave before standing back and smiling. He turned towards the others.

"I'm ready to go home now."
