Cedar's Hospital

Standing over the deceased body of his wife, Alexandra Spaulding, who was covered in a sheet up to her neck, Fletcher looked down at her and shook his head. When he came here to Cedar's with her and everyone else, she was taken down to the morgue so the family and Fletcher were allowed to see her one by one. So Fletcher allowed, Phillip, then Beth, then James to go in that order until Phillip got a call about Lizzie in some kind of incident. Whatever happened to her was unfortunate but Fletcher's focus right now was on Alexandra. She looked so beautiful, even in death where there were many days and nights when even dressed in simple clothing or clothing for business, Alexandra always took control of the room, of the situation as well. There's nothing to describe the pain Fletcher was in right now and was unsure at the moment for what he needs to do. Yes, he can grieve for his wife but what will that do for him? Be a weeping mess and never recover? And teaching journalism at Springfield University, what's that going to do for him if he's not strong enough to do it. Kissing her on her forehead one more time, Fletcher leaves the morgue seeing Holly and Ed standing outside.

Holly - "Fletcher!"

Holly immediately hugs her ex-husband after seeing the pain on his face from losing his wife just now. She remembered losing Roger after years of the two being on and off, where the relationship was toxic but at the end of the day Holly still loved Roger, he still missed him. Some people won't understand it but love can be at times so chaotic.

Fletcher - "Holly, Ed? What are you two doing here?"

Holly - "What do you think were doing here? To be with you Fletcher and support you. We heard about Vanessa"

Ed - "Phillip called us after what happened to Alexandra, so I was just about done teaching a class. After it was over, I picked up Holly from home since she had the day off"

Fletcher - "Phillip left with his family a couple of hours ago because of what happened to Lizzie if I am correct?. Zach is with Jude at Rick and Mindy's home after Mindy picked them up from the hospital just now"

Holly - "We heard it on the radio on the way to Cedar's. Lizzie is missing right now after the car she was in with Bill and kids were ran off the bridge into the ocean. The children are already here with Jonathan and Tammy but they're still looking for Lizzie"

Fletcher - "And Bill?"

Ed - "He's at the site where it happened and is trying his best to absorb all of this. Poor guy, I can only imagine what he's going through"

Fletcher - "First Alexandra and now this..."

Ed - "Shayne being arrested for possibly killing my nephew...I still can't believe it myself even though it doesn't make any sense. Hope needs to know about this too, she told me she went to the bathroom to wash up"

Fletcher - "I'm only focused on one thing and one thing only...wife and that's about it Ed. No disrespect to you"

Holly - "Did you just see Alexandra?"

Fletcher - "Yes I did Holly. You know it's still for me to fathom the thought of Alexandra dying. She's actually gone, my wife is dead and never coming back"

Ed - "Were so sorry Fletcher, if there's anything you need for us to do name it and we'll get it done"

Fletcher - "I'm pretty sure Phillip and the rest of the Spaulding's will plan the wedding. As for me...I can't teach at the moment, you need someone to teach journalism without me"

Holly - "Absolutely, I will make sure to notify Springfield University, then bring someone to replace you. For the time being though we'll need to cancel your class Fletcher which will give us some time"

Fletcher - "Thanks Holly, thank you Ed, it's day like these that I can appreciate what it like's to have friends like you two. You've been so good to me"

Ed - "But what are you going to do now Fletcher? Alexandra's gone, you need to grieve than plan ahead for the future whenever you're ready that is..."

Fletcher - "We'll see...right now I just need to be alone at the moment...I will be in the chapel right now okay? So if anyone ask, just let them know why. Holly, make sure you call Meg"

Both Ed and Holly nodded as they watched Fletcher, a man who felt defeated from losing his wife, was going to the chapel section of Cedar's to pray. Ed and Holly could see that Fletcher, despite still talking to them and at least communicating with the couple, was not right there in the right frame of mind. He wasn't there emotionally and mentally, but they knew Fletcher wasn't going to do anything stupid. For Holly, this man in Fletcher Reade was not only the father of their child Meg but also a good friend to her and everyone else in Springfield. Okay, maybe not everyone since he did ruffle some feathers as a reporter, as a journalist but those who didn't like Fletcher, respected him. For Ed, he appreciated Fletcher's honesty and thoughts on anything that were on his mind, he didn't mind being honest or blunt about something, someone, even a story he was working on. Holly, who took out her phone started to call Meg to let her know what's going on at the moment while Ed started making some phone calls too. Then he remembered that Hope left the hospital earlier just before it was announced about Shayne Lewis based on the Alan-Michael situation, and he rolled his eyes, shaking his head before he tried to call his niece to make sure she's okay.

Cedars Hospital

Jonathan Randall, father of one and a soon to be husband to his fiancé in Tammy Winslow, was holding his daughter's hand who lays in a hospital bed. Sarah was currently sleeping after what just happened hours ago, where in her mind, she was about to die. That truck came so fast and knocked them into the ocean off of the bridge, there wasn't any time to pull to the side or just stop. Her life was hanging in the balance when she felt all that water fill up their car when the windows broke a part. She couldn't even breathe when stuck in the car with her brother Little HB until her step dad Billy got them both out by swimming underneath the ocean to save them. Even when Billy placed them both on the ground and on to the shore before going back to get their mother, Sarah already thought she was seeing angels here or there. Jonathan, when he got the call from Bill, he quickly made his way to the hospital with Tammy who's with him right now, comforting the man she loves. For Jonathan, he didn't give a damn about the guy that's responsible for all this...for now that is, but currently, all the man needed for his daughter was to wake up. It was killing him that Sarah wasn't waking up and opening those eyes of hers as Jonathan groaned.

Jonathan - "Come on Sarah, you can do this...just wake up for me, for your family. Can you do that?"

Tammy - "Jonathan, she's going to be okay, she's strong and stubborn, just like you are. It'll take some time for her to snap out of it but we just need to keep praying-"

Jonathan - "Praying for what Tammy? I mean for what? How about we get some more damn answers from the guy who started all of this? I want to ring his damn neck for this and make him pay"

Tammy - "Forget him Jonathan, you're daughter comes first, we'll handle all of that later. I just feel so bad for Sarah and Little HB, those kids should not have gone through that horrifying experience"

Jonathan - "At least Vanessa is with Little HB right now, where the hell is Bill though? Is he still looking for Lizzie?"

Tammy - "That would be the first thought in my mind to find Bill. Billy told us he was going to bring him back to the hospital to be with his son when he came here with Vanessa, but...but..."

Jonathan - "But what Tammy?"

Tammy - "What if he can't find Lizzie? What if something happened to her? What if-?"

Jonathan - "Tammy stop...let's not go too far...I am sure it'll take some time to find Lizzie but she has to be out there somewhere. It's like she's still here but far away"

Tammy - "Well I hope you're right, I just can't stomach the thought of Sarah and HB not having a mother in their lives"

Sarah - "Dad...daddy?"

Jonathan and Tammy see Sarah slowly starting to wake up, opening her eyes before she coughed a little bit. Both of them were relieved, especially Jonathan who feared the worse when he first came into the hospital. Rosita told both Jonathan and Tammy what happened to her along with Michelle who was at Rosita's side. So at least it wasn't another doctor who won't be named at the moment, that loves to play god with people's life who took over the hospital by the way since Rick was sidelined months ago.

Jonathan - "Hey baby girl...are you okay?"

Sarah - "What happened?"

Jonathan - "You were in an accident with your mom, Bill, and your little brother. You and HB are going to be okay, it's all over"

Sarah - "Where's mom? All that happened was us falling into the ocean...I don't remember anything else"

Jonathan - "Mommy is going to be taken care of as well. They are trying to find her, but the doctors are doing everything they can to help her and your brother too. Bill is going to be okay as well"

Michael - "Ah, so she is awake?"

Jonathan and Tammy see Doctor Michael Burke, along with Rosita Santos and Michelle Bauer behind him. They weren't thrilled to see him, neither was Michelle and Rosita who had to explain everything to him since he was announced the new Chief Of Staff of Cedar's for the time being. Before Jonathan could say anything, he saw Bill and Billy walk past the room. Bill looked like a wreck. Jonathan had to see him, talk to Bill about Lizzie including other things too.

Michael - "I don't believe we haven't met before, my name is doctor-"

Jonathan - "No need for the introduction for who you are Burke. To say that it's good to see you is just me being in denial. If you're here to help my daughter then do it and don't do anything funny. After what you did to my mom back then, I don't trust you, just the two ladies behind you"

Michael - "I assure you Mister Randall, I am only here to make sure you're daughter is well and healthy. That's about it"

Jonathan - "Good, now if you excuse me I need to see someone very quick before coming back. Don't hurt her okay? Tammy, let's get out of here, we need to see Bill"

Sarah - "Don't go daddy...can you stay with me please?"

Jonathan smiles and leans down before he kissed her on her cheek. Tammy placed her hand on her fiance's shoulder before watching him with his daughter

Jonathan - "I'll be back okay? I need to check on your brother and how Bill is holding up. It shouldn't take long but be good to the doctors and the nurse, they're only here to help you"

Jonathan waves at Tammy before Tammy hugs Sarah as well as he stares briefly at Michael Burke. Leaving the room, they let the others help and go down the hall to find Bill. Meanwhile Billy takes his son to Little HB's room where the two men come in while Vanessa who was watching over her grandson see's her husband and son before putting a finger on her lip. Then she got up and hugged her son, seeing how much pain he was in right now while trying to remain strong for everyone, his family, Sarah and his son.

Vanessa - "He's sleeping right now, he woke up a couple of minutes ago wanting you Bill. I calmed him down and just told him to rest, to save his strength, where is Lizzie?"

Bill - "I don't know mom I...they're doing all they can to find her but nothing, nada, zip. I'm starting to loose out hope you know?"

Vanessa - "We just have to keep thinking positive and make sure she's found Bill. I'm sorry you're going through this"?

Bill - "What am I going to tell my son about Lizzie? He's going to be so devastated"

Billy - "They still haven't found her son so right now all you should tell him is that help is on the way for her. They're going to do everything in their power to find her"

Vanessa - "Bill, have you ever had the thought of what happens if they don't-"

Bill - "Mom please...don't...too much has happened already and thought of Bill without a mother is something I haven't thought of yet"

Jonathan - "If that happens, you won't be alone Bill, we'll be there to help you"

Bill, Billy and Vanessa turn around to see Jonathan and Tammy at the entrance of the room. The pairing can see that Bill was miserable and not happy after what just happened, can you blame him? Jonathan walked up and hugged the man before he looked at him straight in the eye to make sure he's okay,.

Jonathan - "Sarah is holding up, but just from reading her face and movements, she's thinking about her mom. How's Little HB?"

Bill - "He's still sleeping but he'll wake up eventually and ask where his mom is. I don't know where to start Jonathan"

Jonathan - "You're not going to be alone Bill, okay? We'll come up with something if they don't find Lizzie soon but we need to be thee for the children, for us as well. Were family and we don't give up each other"

Tammy - "He's right Bill, and I will stand by your side as well. Just remember, if you need anything, let us know"

Little HB - "Dad?"

Hearing his son's voice, he immediately attends to him as he sits near little boy who wakes up. Bill smiled, glad that his son woke up despite Little HB coughing a little bit due to what happened hours ago. Tammy, Jonathan, Billy and Vanessa watched, glad that Bill's son, just like Sarah was going to be okay at least for now.

Bill - "Hey kiddo, are you okay? How do you feel?"

Little HB - "No, I don't feel okay dad, I feel sick"

Bill - "A doctor will be here later on to check on you, but for now just rest. But I am not going anywhere"

Little HB - "Where's mom? Is she coming? Where is she?"

Bill - "They...they're still looking for her son, and once they do she'll get all the help she needs. Everything is going to be okay, I love you son"

Bill's son looked at him as if he was almost keeping something from him, but none the less, Bill hugged Little HB as the man had tears in his eyes again. It felt like he was giving his son false hope, like he was lying to the kid but there's so many things HB didn't know about the incident besides his mom missing. All Bill could do now is support him and love his son, just like how Jonathan has to be there for Sarah moving forward. Both children were missing their mother right now, and their fathers had to step up to the plate, to be responsible parents for Sarah and Little HB. Tammy was going to step in and make sure the children have everything they need when leaving the hospital. Billy, Vanessa, Jonathan and Tammy all stood there, seeing Bill embrace his son, kissing on the forehead as all of them know it's going to be difficult for them from here on out. Billy and Vanessa will always support their son, but deep down at some point like Vanessa was trying to say to Bill, if Lizzie isn't found soon then they had to declare her presumed deceased. It wasn't something that no one, not even the Spaulding's would think about it, sometimes you have to make the tough, and hard choices that are unfortunately right at the end of the day.
