Months later - 7 months pregnant

"We're going to need a house… and a bigger car," Obito had randomly said during dinner, and Rin had simply blinked at him before agreeing.

Considering they were going to have two children, yes they would need a house...and a bigger vehicle.

"When do you think we should get them?"

"Vehicle can be whenever… ideally before you give birth. Same with the house. I can trade in my current vehicle this week for a bigger one,"

"Won't you miss driving it?" She asked curiously, taking a sip of her tea.

"Not really. SUVs also have sports mode nowadays. Once I have the SUV, we can look at some houses?"

Rin thought about that for a while, mostly since she had no experience purchasing a home. Selling the house her parents owned wasn't difficult, but it wasn't necessarily a large sale. Considering the situation and deteriorated state of the property, the bank had gladly accepted it back and given her some amount. As expected, the house was so poorly kept that she didn't get much for it.

But this would be different, and she quickly checked her bank account's balance.

"Hmm, how much do you think we would need to put down for a house?"

"Depends on where we want to purchase. If it's in this area, we'll need at least two-hundred thousand ready for down payment,"

Her eyes widened as big as saucers. "That much…?"

"Yeah. This area has good schools, which will be good for our girls,"

Rin nodded, despite her mind stuck on the amount of money required just for a downpayment. She looked at her bank account app on her phone and frowned. Yes, she is doing better financially now compared to a year ago. But not enough to help pay a mortgage.

Noticing her silence, Obito grabbed her hand.

"What's on your mind?"

She took a deep sigh, "Well...just the price. Between a car and a house...it all seems too...expensive. We haven't even discussed everything we need to buy for the babies, or the hospital bill…"

He shifted closer to her, giving her a reassuring smile. "You don't need to worry about that,"

"But it's a lot of money… Obito, I know money isn't an issue for you… but you've barely let me pay for anything since we first started dating. You even paid my hospital bill,"

He frowned, "Rin, why does any of this matter? I'm doing this for us, and our girls… You're not just my fiancee but also the mother of my children. I'm going to take care of you, regardless of the price tag,"

She giggled with a blush, "I swear… you're my prince charming,"

He chuckled and gently pulled her onto his lap, wrapping his arms around her and rubbing her pregnant stomach.

"How are my girls doing in there?"

She took a deep breath at the movement, "Awake, clearly. They're moving around,"

"I can't wait to see them," Obito said, feeling the slight movements underneath his hands, "I thought this would be easy but...I'm actually nervous,"

She blinked surprisingly, not saying anything as he continued.

"Izumi is the only person I consider a sister… but I don't have any experience… Shit, what if I'm not good enough for them? I read somewhere that girls look up to their fathers as the ideal male figure… What if I can't live to that expectation?"

Rin laughed and shook her head, "You are overthinking it… You'll be fine. I'm nervous too… I have no siblings or even extended family… I'm scared of not being the ideal mother either. But we just need to take it one day at a time, you know? And then next thing you know, our girls will be in school, making friends! We'll be attending parent-teacher conferences! And then they'll become teenagers, they'll probably have some boys liking them-"

"Absolutely not," Obito said, "Neither of them are going to date while in school,"

"I agree with you there," Rin said, "But once they become older and are in college, things will change and they'll no longer be babies-"

"No," he shook his head, "I will snap the neck of any boy who even thinks about courting my daughters,"

Rin sighed, "Just don't be too strict,"

He smiled at her, "I won't…. But my daughters are prohibited from dating until I say so,"

"Well… you still have years before worrying about that. Right now, let's just worry about getting everything prepared,"

One month later - 8 months pregnant

House hunting was much easier with an SUV. Obito had traded in his sedan for a white Jaguar F-Pace SUV. And with her much bigger stomach, Rin enjoyed the extra space and features the new vehicle brought.

Every week, they visited several houses. Rin analyzed each home carefully, wanting the place they selected a comfortable place for their girls as they grew up. And for this, she took everything into consideration: the size of the kitchen and its appliances, the size of each bedroom, its closets, the laundry room, and backyard. Her daughters would probably want a dog as they got older, and she wanted to make sure there would be enough room for a pet (or two).

The next requirement the couple looked at was the school.

"I think it's better if they attend private school," Obito had said, and she nodded. She didn't need to ask why; considering his uncle was now governor and Obito's company was growing, shielding the girls from the public was a large factor.

Weeks after looking at each house listed for sale, they finally landed on one. It was a five-bedroom, three bathroom home two-story home in a gated community. The property had plenty of backyard, and each room was spacious. The kitchen had the most uptodate appliances, which suited them as Rin would make it her goal to cook for her family.

Their real-estate agent put in the paperwork, and soon enough the couple was signing paperwork after paperwork. The process was tiring for Rin, as this would be the first time her name would be on a multi-million dollar property. But she looked forward to the future where her daughters and Obito would be in their new home.

With her due date finally set, the immediate next step in their journey was moving. They both agreed that it would be easier to move before she gave birth. And as the couple started donating unneeded items, Obito hired several contractors to prepare one of the bedrooms for the baby girls.

As Rin stayed over with Izumi, Obito, Shisui, and the hired contractors worked on the house. His cousin helped with the installation of cameras outside of the property. Despite the home being part of a gated community, he didn't want to take any chances. Just three weeks ago he had been notified that Danzo had tried to escape. The old man had been yelling that he wanted to see his daughter and grandchild. He didn't tell Rin about the incident, knowing that it would stress her.

As he worked, the contractors painted one of the bedroom walls bright purple. Rin didn't want the traditional pink.

Two large packages had arrived at the new home that same day, and Obito took it upon himself to assemble his daughter's cribs once the painting was completed.

He and Shisui placed both pieces of furniture in the appropriate areas, yet next to each other. He read about twins wanting to be together.

"I think this is good for today," Obito said, looking around the room, "Once the smell of the paint is gone, I'll bring Rin over to see,"

"You two must be excited," Shisui said, and Obito nodded.

"Yeah… I can't wait until I hold them,"

After leaving the house, Obito called Rin as he started driving.

"The cribs are assembled," he told her.

"I can't wait to see it all! How far are you? I'm hungry…"

"Fifteen minutes away. Why don't I pick dinner up and we eat at the apartment?"

"Yes! I was hoping you would suggest that,"

He chuckled before asking, "What would you like?"

"Well… I'm actually craving some chicken fried rice…"

"...And?"

"A side of french fries would be nice too…"

"Alright, I'll grab the food, pick you up, and then we'll eat at home. It'll take me longer to pick you up then. Will you be OK with that?"

"Yeah, I'll be here… Drive safe, OK?"

"Will do. I'll see you soon. I love you,"

"Love you too…"

He stopped by a restaurant, one which served the best fried rice in the city. As he waited by the entrance for his order to be completed, someone approached from the right. The purple color caught his attention, and he turned his head to find Konan smiling at him.

"Hey there," she said.

"Hey," he said simply.

"What brings you here this late by yourself?"

"Picking up food," he replied with a shrug, and Konan laughed.

"I can see that. But seriously, how have you been? I haven't seen you in months,"

"I've been fine. The usual. You?"

"The usual too, I guess…" she stopped for a moment, and Obito quickly knew where she was going, "Yahiko and I broke up again… I think it's for real this time… He wanted to move to Suna and I didn't… It made me realize how I want something stable… And I've been thinking a lot about what we used to have...I miss what we had, Obito… Why don't we...catch up over some coffee tomorrow?"

"Chicken fried rice with french fries on the side!" the waiter called out, holding a plastic bag.

Obito grabbed the packaged food and thanked the waiter before turning to Konan.

"I can't-"

"Then maybe this Saturday?"

"Konan, you know I'm with Rin. I am not even sure why you're even thinking of asking. You know what my answer is,"

"Oh… I wasn't aware that you two made it this long…"

Her comment bothered him a lot, "Well, we're still together. And not only that, but she's my fiancee now,"

Konan's eyes widened, and Obito continued. This time he smiled. "And she's also carrying my children. You don't understand how happy I am being with her, and soon, we'll be parents. Now if you don't mind, she's waiting for me and I don't want to keep her waiting. Have a good life, Konan,"

And with that, he walked over to his SUV, turned on the vehicle, and drove away; leaving a wide eyed Konan behind. She thought about everything he had just said, lowering her head as she imagined what could've been.

Rin dipped the french fry into a small container of ketchup and moaned the moment she placed the piece in her mouth. Most of the time, her cravings were centered around fruit cups and bread. But today, she wanted fried rice and french fries.

Obito could only watch her with a smile, sitting on the floor next to her. She had refused to sit on the stool, citing that she didn't want to tilt over due to her large stomach. So they sat on the floor, the food placed on the coffee table.

"Mmmm… this is so good. Here, eat one! I can't be the only one eating," Rin poked a french fry against his lips, and he opened his mouth to eat it. "Are you OK? You've been silent,"

"I'm fine," he said, poking her cheeks with a smile, "I just like watching you,"

"Stop, you're making me self conscious," she said, turning away with a blush and nibbling three fries at the same time.

A week after the room was painted, cribs were assembled, and home was cleaned, most of their furniture was moved to the house.

Rin had been prohibited (by Obito, of course) from picking or carrying anything. Four movers along with Shisui helped with the move. The only thing she did was pack a bag for when her due date came. But today, the girls were very active. She had barely slept last night, which of course impacted Obito's ability to get much sleep as well. As the movers packed the large TV and took it away to the moving truck, she headed to the bathroom and grabbed an extra toothbrush and soap.

The feeling of liquid trickling down her legs caused her to freeze and look down. Despite the black leggings covering any sign of wetness, she could feel the liquid still sliding down her leg.

"There is no way I peed myself," she said lowly, touching the liquid with her fingers.

A slight yet dull pain suddenly hit her, and Rin held onto the sink and took a deep breath.

"Oh...fuck…" she groaned, realizing that she was about to go into labor way before the scheduled date.

Obito finished speaking with the driver as the men had just finished loading the truck. It was nearly twelve noon, and he was looking forward to having everything done before the day was over. He knew that Rin was anxious with organizing the house as much as possible, especially since her due date was fast approaching.

As the truck with their belongings left, the Uchiha walked back to the now empty condo.

"Rin!" he called, walking around.

"...I'm...here," he heard her say from the bathroom, and he walked inside to find her hunched over the sink.

"Rin?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowing with worry.

She turned her head to him and smiled weakly, "H-Hey...I think I'm going into labor. My water just broke..."

Obito blinked several times before finally moving, the first thing he did was call Shisui and tell him to handle the rest of the moving for him.

"Rin's going into labor. I'm going to take her to the hospital now,"

Once he disconnected the call, he turned to her. "Can you walk?"

Rin nodded, standing up straight. "Y-Yeah… It's just a bit uncomfortable and I'm dripping water," she said with a nervous giggle.

Obito smiled at her, even though internally he was beyond anxious. This was not part of today's plan. They planned on moving and having their furniture readied. From there, they would relax and wait until the due date…

...But it seemed as if his daughters were ready to come out sooner than later.

"Where is your bag? With your things?" he asked.

"In the bedroom, by the window sill," she replied, her hand on her stomach as she slowly walked out of the bathroom.

He grabbed her bag and then her hand, watching her nervously as they exited the now empty apartment.

They got to his SUV in minutes, and he helped her get inside as she began to groan.

"I'm going to wet your seat," she said, breathing loudly.

"It's leather. It'll be easy to clean off later," he said, his mind not even on that as he placed the seatbelt for her. His mind was preoccupied with the fact that his children could be born today. And boy was he nervous….

He got onto the driver's side and immediately drove off.

Luckily for them, the traffic was low. Nonetheless, it didn't stop him from weaving through traffic. His phone rang several times: the first time was Madara. The second was from Izumi. He would call them later. Right now, his mind worried that he wouldn't make it in time to the hospital.

About fifteen minutes later, they arrived. Obito placed her bag on his elbow and then undid the seatbelt. He looked at her.

"I'm going to carry you inside,"

She was about to protest, citing that walking is good for a woman about to give birth. It would help with the process. But the girls inside her were active and everything felt weird, so she nodded.

Obito carried her bridal style, using his foot to close the passenger door. She wrapped her arms around his neck as he carried her inside. The moment he walked in, the front desk receptionist called for help before grabbing a wheelchair.

"Here," she said.

Obito helped Rin sit on it just as two more people came by. Rin was able to explain the situation, and he just followed as they wheeled her into an empty room.

"We're going to start preparing you," one of the women said, and Rin nodded.

Obito just watched as they closed the door behind him and began to undress her. They placed a loose hospital gown on her. She then laid on the bed, talking about dilation.

"And you felt nothing before?" the nurse asked, and Rin shook her head.

"Besides from the regular pressure? No…"

"Well, good thing your husband here brought you in quickly,"

Rin nodded before facing Obito, who stood still next to her. They weren't married yet, but the nurses didn't need to know that.

"Feel free to move around. We'll be back soon,"

Once the women left, Rin turned to him. "Are you OK?"

He rubbed the back of his head, "Y-Yeah… Just...I thought we had more time,"

Rin giggled, "Well… guess they didn't want to keep waiting, huh? Oh shit! Ouch! Ow ow!"

"What?"

"...Contractions… Normal but...painful. Why don't you call Madara and Uzumi?"

"Yeah," he said, grabbing his phone and calling the majority of his family members. He also spoke with Shisui, who finished the move for them.

Within half an hour, Mikoto, Fugaku, and everyone else arrived at the hospital. Wanting to ensure privacy and safety, Rin's room was switched. Madara was also present, and the Uchihas all patiently waited for the birth of two more family members.

It wasn't until many hours later that Rin was ready to push. The ordeal had been overwhelming at first, with Obito holding her hand as she pushed while yelling for more epidural. Once the first child was out, they watched as one of the nurses quickly washed the newborn and took her footprint.

"OK, here comes the second one!" the doctor said excitedly.

Obito kissed the side of her head and whispered words of encouragement as Rin began to push again.

The second baby was out, immediately washed and wrapped in a blanket. The blanket was of a different color, to help with ensuring the twins weren't mixed.

Sweaty and exhausted, Rin held her arms out as both girls were placed on her chest. Obito stared wide eyed as he provided support, feeling emotional as the small human beings opened their eyes and looked at them.

"They're...They're here…" Rin cried, feeling overwhelmed with joy as she held her daughters.

"Yes, they are…"

After the newborns were checked, they were returned to the new parents. The feeling of breastfeeding was strange, but Rin smiled as she held one of the twins while Obito held the other one. She watched as he walked around and talked with the daughter he carried.

"You gave me a scare, you know? You and your sister… You two were supposed to come next week… Is this what you two are going to do to me when you're older? Give me a scare?"

Rin snorted and shook her head, smiling down at the little girl on her arms.

"I think this one is done feeding," she said, putting the gown over her breast again.

Obito nodded, placing the girl he held on the small crib before grabbing the other twin. But just as he did, the little girl began to cry loudly, and both parents looked at each other with worry.

"Carry her again," Rin said, and Obito gave her the twin she just fed back before picking up the girl he had been carrying.

The newborn stopped crying the moment he carried her again, and Obito chuckled. "She stopped crying,"

"I think we just figured out which of the two is going to be daddy's little girl,"

XxXxX

Madara and the rest of the Uchihas visited the room a few at a time.

"My goodness, they look just like Obito," the governor stated, shaking his head.

"That's what I thought too," Rin said, pouting her lips as she thought about the fact that her daughters mostly had Obito's features.

Obito could only smile widely as he held one of the twins, while the other twin slept on the crib.

"What are their names?" Mikoto asked.

"The one sleeping is Himari. She's came out first," Obito replied, "And the one I'm holding is Akari,"
