A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 3: Life with you, but without you [part 15]
Byakuya is informed that Rukia had collapsed on his onsen, as they bathe her, and so, he went to her after informing the servants that he will take care of her, himself.
When he arrives at his private onsen, he immediately went up to Rukia who was lying on the wooden floor, fully clothed in white kimono.
And he could not help but compare her weak state to his late wife, who he most often find prone in her futon. Sickly pale.
It caused his breathe to hold up.
For this is not the Rukia, he comes to know.
She's strong and determined…
But now…
Now, she looks broken.
Byakuya knelt on the floor to scope her up, and carry her to her own room.
And as he did so, he unconsciously held unto her, like his life depended on her.
And thus, the servants could not help but be concerned for the two Kuchikis.
And yet, they held their breathe, trying their best not to interfere in this display of affection from their clan leader. Definitely something they have not seen again, after his late wife died.
They concluded that it must be that, the Kuchiki clan leader, finally warmed up to his adopted sister.
How wrong they were.
For at the moment, she is no more a sister to him, than a lion to a tiger.
And Byakuya's attendant know of this, but kept his silence.
For he just hope that Byakuya knows what his doing, and won't get controlled by emotions, especially since he must not display weakness at all cost as the sole pillar of these power struggles happening between nobles, caused by Rukia.
He must.
For the sake of the balance of control, and the future of Kuchiki clan.
To be continued….
