Sorry about the long delay everyone! I know I'm infamous for it and I do apologize, person things have been keeping me too occupied for me to sit down and write. For now I have some time to do that since I'm on light duty at work. Though I do apologize in advance if things look weird. The first time I posted something using the app, usually I just go straight to the website but it seems to be all glitchy right now on my phone sooo yeah. Anyway here is what you all be long awaiting for...the next chapter!

DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT OWN VAMPIRE KNIGHT!

Enjoy the story lovelies :3

"Why can't Auntie Iris come with us?" Ren asked Yuuki as Ruka and Yuki tagged team on styling the twins' hair as I adjusted my business skirt. "Well for one she has to be at work." Ruka explained. "But she doesn't need to go to work! She can convince Uncle Zero to let her go to the...soiree?" She said unsurely making sure she said the word right. "Soirée, and she's not really invited." Yuuki explained sheepishly, not wanting to admit the last one I attended, I almost knocked some heads as every male vampire tried to propose to me and encircle me like I was some bloody first place trophy with a giant reward.

"And it's rude to drop in on people and events like this without an invite." I added. Both twins sighed in defeat and pouted and I walked over to them. "Hey now, just because I'm not going to be there doesn't mean it's the worst thing to happen to you both. You both get to dance and dress like princesses, and have ton of fun." I told them. "But I wanna be a knight!" Ren argued. I chuckled and held her hand.

"Sometimes even knights have to put away their armor and wear fancy clothes and attend soirées." I told her. "Rats." She grumbled under her breath.

"Now enough arguing with us about going and put your coat on. Zero will be here soon to come get us." Yuuki instructed. Ai blushed a little and hurried over to Yuuki to get her coat. I cocked an eyebrow as I studied my niece's blushing face and I shook my head. Nah she's probably embarrassed from being called out, there is no way my little niece has a crush on "Uncle Zero".

I helped Ren get into her coat and she looked at me pleadingly. "Please come with us so I don't have to be the only one feeling uncomfortable." She whispered. "Sorry, Ren, can't help you on this one. Besides your sister is feeling just as uncomfortable about all this as you." I pointed out to her. She sighed in defeat and nodded. "Besides you should be grateful I managed to convince your mother not to let you both go in pink dresses like her original plan." I added, knowing very well how much she despises that color.

She shuddered and gave me a grateful look. "In that case I'm in your debt, Auntie." She whispered. "Just have fun at the soirée and we'll call it even." I assured her as I winked at her. She nodded and headed over to her sister. "You know that child is a lot like you, if I didn't know any better I would have thought she was your daughter." Ruka whispered to me. I grimaced at Ruka's comment and stood up. "Oh God! The poor kid picked the wrong person to take after." I groaned. "Oh you're not that bad!" Ruka laughed. I rolled my eyes and glanced over at her. "In that case I must be really good hiding my faults, and I hope Ren didn't take after them." I told her.

Ruka shook her head in disbelief and I heard a knock on the door. "Looks like Zero is here." I told them as I headed out of the room to go answer the door. I slid down the stair railing and landed on my feet before heading to the door and grinned at the silver haired hunter. "Long time no see." I teased as I leaned over and pecked his lips before stepping aside to let him in.

"Told you it wasn't hard to give me a hello kiss." He teased as he stepped inside. I rolled my eyes at him as I shut the door behind him. "They'll be down in the moment they're just making sure the twins are in their coats." I told him. "And no doubt Ren was giving everyone trouble." He sighed. "Well, well, well...looks like 'Uncle Zero' does know his nieces well." I teased. "That's because she is very much like you and even sees you as a role model." He told me. "Poor kid-hey!" I yelped as Zero flicked my forehead. I rubbed my forehead as I shot him a glare. "I wasn't being serious, I'm just nervous about the idea a small child looks up to me." I confessed.

"Don't sweat it. You've been doing quite fine." He assured me. I smiled a little, feeling a little reassured and heard the door upstairs open. "Uncle Zero!!!" The twins cried in excitement as they rushed down the stairs to greet Zero. He grunted as the weight of two young girls slammed into him and Yuuki chuckled at the sight. "Come on, girls, we can't make your aunt and uncle late to work." She informed them.
