Springfield Police Department

On the way over to the Springfield PD like a bat out of hell was Dinah Marler, the daughter of Ross Marler, Vanessa Chamberlin Lewis, who just heard about Shayne's recent arrest. She immediately knew deep down Shayne didn't do any of this. He wouldn't have done anything to harm Alan-Michael, and for those in Springfield that knew Shayne best, the man didn't have a bad or horrible bone in his entire soul. Since they first met, Dinah knew Shayne wasn't perfect, hell, she was one of the people who did her best to help him out during the time Henry came into the world. They did everything in their power to make sure Edmund didn't lay one finger on that kid or at least try to snatch him, as Dinah showed her loyalty to not just Shayne but also the Lewis family. Edmund must have been behind all of this to get his payback on Shayne and the Lewis family after the FBI cleared him of no wrongdoing. The minute Mallet told her that, Dinah wasn't surprised but pissed off, Edmund was getting off too easy and if had anything to do with this, then she would make him pay. Parking her car near the precinct, Dinah gets out before she storms her way through the doors before she marches up to the interrogation room and busts through the door.

Dinah - "Shayne!"

Shayne, who looked up after he fell asleep and took a nap, opened his eyes before shaking his head. Yawning, he moves his mouth around as Dinah places her purse on the table and sits in the chair, not wasting anytime.

Shayne - "Thanks for waking me up Dinah, it feels boring in here but that's what happens when-"

Dinah - "What the hell happened Shayne? What did you do?"

Shayne - "Not a single damn thing Dinah. I am being arrested for nothing so yours truly is starting to rot for a crime that wasn't committed by me"

Dinah - "Then who did it? Who stabbed Alan-Michael?"

Shayne - "Beats me Dinah, it could have been anyone"

Dinah - "That damn Edmund, it has to be him Shayne, who else wants you behind bars for the rest of your life?"

Shayne - "Sounds way too easy Dinah, now I know I don't have any enemies besides Edmund. There's no way it could be someone like him"

Dinah - "Maybe someone in business when it comes to Lewis Energy? Have you made any big business deals with anyone?"

Shayne - "As of now...no Dinah, Lewis Energies doesn't even collaborate with criminals or companies with shady backgrounds"

Dinah - "Well it HAS to be someone Shayne, if not Edmund, or a shady businessman...were going to figure this out"

Shayne - "I'm sorry...did you just say we?"

Dinah - "Were, that's what I just said...because I am going to get you out of here"

Shayne sighed and rolled his eyes, this is just what the man didn't need. His best friend in Dinah meant so much to him as he appreciated what she's done in the past. Despite the two of them trying to get married in the past and having a relationship together, they were good friends. Shayne didn't want her to do anything dumb to risk Shayne's freedom out of the SPD.

Shayne - "Dinah please, I appreciate you trying to help but you don't need to get yourself in trouble. What about Mallet? What if he finds you here next to me handcuff because you pulled a stupid move?"

Dinah - "Don't worry about Mallet, I will take care of him. He's the man I love and he is dedicated to his job but if he has to arrest me...so be it. Mallet will be pissed but he'll understand"

Shayne - "Will he? He might blame it all on my shoulders Dinah and if anything happened to you, I just wouldn't-"

Dinah - "Shayne, just stop it alright? I'm going to help clear your name and that's that. You'll appreciate me more when it's all said and done"

Shayne - "And I do appreciate you Dinah, just...just be careful okay? There's lots of stuff is going on, Alexandra Spaulding just died, and now Lizzie may be dead too"

Dinah - "What are you talking about? I just got here after hearing the news"

Shayne - "You didn't hear? Bill and Lizzie were involved in a crash incident, their car collided with someone who drove a trick. The car went into the ocean over the bridge, Bill, Sarah and HB are okay but there's no sign of Lizzie"

Dinah - *Gasps* "Oh my god...Bill...mom must of have already tried to reach me. I should get going but remember Shayne, like I just told you, you're getting out of here because of yours truly. We'll stay in touch"

Shayne - "And remember what I told you, just stay out of trouble and be careful"

Dinah grinned before she stood up and hugged Bill as she grabs her purse to leave the interrogation room. When she walked out of the interrogation room, Dinah saw Frank in his office on the phone probably talking to Marina right now. A part of her wanted to storm up in there and cuss Frank out for having Shayne arrested but now wasn't the time for that. The man was under a lot of stress, not only that but he was shortsighted since Mallet was at the sight where the incident took place. Remy and Rafe were there with Mallet too, as Dinah got her in car she turned on the ignition before pulling out. Heading to the hospital, she put her mom on speaker when calling her just to get an update on everything that happened. Dinah was relieved to hear that her brother Bill, like Shayne told him was alright along with the kids, but she became concerned of what could happen down the line. Dinah has butted heads with Bill at times, even when it came down to his relationship with Lizzie, a part of her wanted the blonde to pay because of her dad's part in causing the plane to crash. But the past ten years, even after Bill and Lizzie got married, Dinah made sure to make up for all the horrible things she's done to her. Now, it was up to her to not just clear Shayne's name but also look out for her brother and the children.

Cedars Hospital

Leaving Ed and Holly, Fletcher went to the chapel by himself to be alone and just pray to god to help him through this new challenge in his life. Alexandra was no longer his wife, she was gone and hopefully to a better place where Alan and the other deceased of Springfield were waiting for her. Where did that leave Fletcher? Of course, he could just continue his life as a journalist and come back to the school when he's good and damn ready to teach to his students again. Fletcher hoped Clarissa out of all the other students understood, not chasing after him and pleading to come back but he felt she wouldn't do anything to stupid to get Fletcher to leave. As he approached the chapel, Fletcher opened the door slowly before seeing Buzz, Lillian, Olivia, Natalia, Francesca sitting in the peas silently praying to themselves. After the news kept spilling all over everyone, from Alexandra, to Lizzie, Alan-Michael, these people were connected to each of them in different ways. Maybe not biologically but they've encounter the three of them in all of their lives when they were in Springfield. Each one of them has lost someone they loved, as Lillian out of five of them noticed him come in.

Lillian - "Fletcher"

She got up and walked up to the man before hugging Fletcher which felt good to him. He needed the comfort including support for others, even if the entire town weren't close to Fletcher, they knew Alexandra so well in Springfield.

Lillian- "I'm so sorry about Alexandra. When Buzz and I got to the hospital and heard the news from Phillip, Beth, James, Daisy, they were all there so we decided to give you some space"

Fletcher - "Thank you Lillian...I just don't know where to start...everything is coming at me so fast it's hard to explain. Well it shouldn't be...I lost Ben too"

Lillian - "And I am sure he's up there with Alexandra right now, including Alan, welcoming her in the big skies with huge hugs.

Fletcher - "Right, about Lizzie, Lillian-"

Lillian - "I know, Beth called me and they said that Lizzie hasn't been found yet but they're going to keep looking. I'm starting to loose faith, maybe Lizzie won't be found, maybe she-"

Buzz - "Lillian..."

Her husband, Buzz Cooper walked up to her and Fletcher before putting his arms around his wife who started to feel misty eyed. Fletcher could see for himself how Lizzie's potential loss was affecting her too at the moment.

Buzz - "It's going to be okay, we'll deal with this when more news comes out about the situation. Fletcher, were just so sorry about Alexandra, she was one hell of a lady in this town"

Fletcher - "Yes she was, I will always appreciate the moments where for the past ten years we spent so much time together and going on our vacations. It's what brought out the best in us both"

Buzz - "You're a lucky man Fletcher, remembering when Jenna died and it made me felt like I failed her so much. It made me wish I could of done more to save her from getting killed"

Lillian - "Everything in this life is out of control and there's nothing we can do to prevent to unimaginable from happening. But, at least we can move on in our lives to do better and make sure we tell our loved ones how much we love them. We should meet up with Phillip and the others, they'll be here shortly"

Buzz - "Right, take care of yourself Fletcher and stay strong"

Fletcher - *Smiles a bit* "Thank you"

Buzz and Lillian leave the chapel before Olivia and Natalia with Francesca approach the journalist. It was good that Fletcher was getting support more from those who weren't family to him.

Olivia - "Hey Fletcher, how are you holding up?"

Fletcher - "Right now I am grieving the loss of my wife, just like any person would under these circumstances"

Olivia - "Just remember that you're not alone in all of this, you have a great support system in this town. Natalia and I were just leaving too to see everyone else"

Natalia - "Rafe is making the rounds outside of the hospital, checking in with other officers who are guarding Cedars. He's also calling Mallet and the others, checking in to see what they've come up with for Lizzie. Have you heard anything?"

Fletcher - "Lillian told me they found nothing so far when it comes to Lizzie. Ed and Holly told me the same thing, but all of them are praying and hoping for the best outcome"

Olivia - "We are too. Let's hope they do find Lizzie...anyway we'll be on our way out to meet up with everyone else. See you later Fletcher"

Fletcher nodded as the three of them left the chapel and before he noticed, the man was by himself. Now he could at least have some sort of peace and quiet, sitting down in one of the peas and lowering his head. Fletcher closed his eyes and sighed, preparing to speak to the big man upstairs, the one who has created all sorts of life in this complicated world.

Fletcher - "Dear god...I ask of you today to give me wisdom and strength moving forward. Please, look after Alexandra, make sure she is not alone and that she has a lot of people by her side. But most of all, in this time of darkness, I need you by my side so that I don't do anything stupid. Sometimes I am not the sharpest tool in the shed but at least there's good enough sense in me to know what's right from wrong. Let Alexandra know that I love her...in your name we pray...amen"

Meg - "Dad?"

Looking up and realizing that voice, he wiped away some of the tears he felt threatening to spill from his eyes. Turning around, Fletcher saw the one person who made his heart melt ever since she was a child and came into this world. Despite her disability of down syndrome, it didn't stop Fletcher from loving his daughter unconditionally and making her feel like she was important. With a sad smile on his face, Fletcher got up before hugging Meg, who could see how much pain her dad was in from losing Alexandra. She was so good to her when meeting Alexandra the first time, despite everything she heard about her growing up. When her dad told Meg he was getting married to Alexandra again she wasn't thrilled, but was able to put her dislike to the side and what do you know? She made him happy, loved and even supported him in his work of journalism. Now she was gone and Meg felt bad for her father going through this, as the two of them sit down before Fletcher explained everything to her. Fletcher was glad to have his daughter by his side, because despite everyone else, the man wasn't alone in this. He had his daughter to back him up and make sure everything would work out in the end.
