Part 37
Four months later
Caitlin sat in a suite of the Central City Grand Hotel. Robert had rented one of the ballrooms for her wedding. She was having her hair done. In less then two hours she would be getting married to the only man she had ever loved. She looked around the room to see Thea, Laurel and Sara. Sara had finally revealed that she was alive to her family. But that was only after sending a message back to Ra's Al Ghul that if she were to see anyone from the League of Assassins again or they come after those she cared about that he better have a burial ground ready for them. The message was delivered by Ra's daughter Nyssa who Sara had a relationship with while with the league. Thea was Caitlin's maid of honor. While Laurel and Sara were bridesmaids. The door opened and Carla came in carrying a box that Caitlin knew had a necklace in it.
"Caitlin, your father gave me this when we got married. He wanted you to have it when you got married." Said Carla
Caitlin opened the box to find a snowflake shaped diamond pendant. She only remembered her mom wearing it a handful of times.
"Are you sure mom?" asked Caitlin
"Yes honey. This was always meant to be yours."
"Thank you. Will you help me put it on?"
"Of course."
The hair dresser moved out of the way so that Carla could help Caitlin with the necklace. The hair dresser then finished with Caitlin's hair. Most of it was pinned up in the back with a few strands left to frame her face in lose curls. After Caitlin changed into her dress and her make up was finished the half vail she had chosen was attached to the back of her head leaving her face visible. Her dress had thin spaghetti straps on the shoulders. The sheath dress was white with tiny light blue snowflakes embroidered on it. Thea and the Lance sisters were in ice blue bridesmaid dresses. Little Mandy who was the flower girl was also in an ice blue dress. Finally it was time for the wedding to start. Caitlin found Robert waiting for her outside the ballroom with a smile on his face.
"Caitlin, you look even more beautiful then you normally do." Said Robert
"Thanks dad." Said Caitlin
"Dad?"
"You have been my dad since I was ten years old. You never treated me any different then Oliver or Thea. So I think it is time. I love you." Said Caitlin
"Love you too sweetheart."
Caitlin hugged Robert before taking his arm. Sara was the first to walk in followed by Laurel, Thea and finally Mandy. The music changed to the bridal march and everyone turned and watched as Caitlin and Robert made their way down the aisle. Barry wiped a tear as he watched her walk down the aisle. Cisco, Oliver and Eddie were standing up with him with Cisco acting as his best man. Once they reached the makeshift alter Robert handed Caitlin off to Barry after giving her a kiss on her cheek.
"Barry, you break her heart and you will not be able to run fast enough to getaway from me." Said Robert loud enough for only Barry and Caitlin to hear.
Barry nodded knowing that he didn't want the wrath of Robert Queen on him. Robert took his seat and the minister began.
"Dearly beloved we are gathered here today to join Bartholomew Henry Allen and Caitlin Danielle Snow in holy matrimony. While I have not known them long, I do know that this is a good match. I know that because if it wasn't none of you would be here. Now let's get the formalities out of the way. If anyone has just cause why these two should not marry speak now or forever hold your peace." Said the minister
No one said anything. Not that they expected anyone too.
"Now that is out of the way. I am told the bride and groom have written their own vows." Said the minister
Caitlin took a deep breath before beginning.
"Barry, until I met you I never thought I would fall in love. I was scared to give my heart to anyone afraid that it would be broken. But then you walked into my life and nearly knocked me off my feet. I will never forget how you opened my heart. I love you more then life itself. Today we begin our life together. I can't wait to have a family with you. I love you always and forever."
"Cait, I don't know where to begin. The day you walked into my life was the best day of my life. I never thought that anyone would love me the way you do. I was broken and in less time then I could have imagined you were able to put me back together. That was more then I could have asked of anyone. When we met you rarely smiled. But when you did it lit up the room like I never seen before. I love you more with each passing day. From today and forever I will love you until my dying breath."
They then exchanged rings then the minister pronounced them husband and wife. They kissed and walked down the aisle together. The rest of the night was spent celebrating Barry and Caitlin being husband and wife. Caitlin was watching as Barry danced with Ronnie's sister Jesse when she heard someone come up to her.
"Man I have a dance with my new daughter in law?"
Caitlin turned and smiled at Henry Allen.
"Of course Henry."
Caitlin took Henry's offered hand and they made their way onto the dance floor.
"Caitlin, may I say you make a beautiful bride."
"Thank you Henry."
"You know you could call me dad if you want. From the moment Barry told me about you I loved you. If nothing more for making my son happy."
"Truth is until Barry came into my life I had given up on finding love. But he walked in and I finally understood what love really was."
Henry smiled and at the end of the dance kissed Caitlin on her cheek. When the time came for Caitlin to toss the bouquet with Barry's help with the aim Caitlin threw it over her shoulder and right into Laurel's hands. Barry and Caitlin left the next morning on their honeymoon. Two months after their wedding Oliver and Laurel finally married.
