A/N Hey, guys. Welcome back to more of the third and final arc of the Godzilla Meet The Civilians series. So first off, I hope you guys are staying safe out there, keeping your distance, drinking a lot of water, and getting the vaccine. Second, I can finally make time to write more chapters because I finally wrapped up my final semester of college. And third, this is the thirty-sixth chapter of the third and final arc's continuation. In this chapter, Bianca and Sonya leave Pensacola to meet with Doctor Ilene Andrews, Doctor Nathan Lind, and Jia for the first time and they learn about a mysterious place called the Hollow Earth. Will the introduction go right or will it go wrong? But anyway, this is the thirty-sixth chapter, the continuation of Godzilla vs Kong, and here we go.

I own my OCs. I'm just borrowing the characters and the plot from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures.

Pensacola, Florida, May 16th, 2024

The next morning, after agreeing to split up, Bianca and Sonya head out to meet with director Guillerman and ask him to arrange a transport to Skull Island so they could learn more about the mysterious place called Hollow Earth.

Returning to the Monarch Relief Camp, the two cousins find director Guillerman giving orders to the employees and the volunteers on the site.

"Director Guillerman!" Bianca called.

"Doctor Taylor and Doctor Jackson, only staff personnel can be here." Guillerman reminded.

Bianca and Sonya flashed their employee ID badges from their jackets.

"What do you need today?" asked Guillerman.

"We're looking for someone named Ilene Andrews and we would like to ask you to fly us over to Skull Island so we could learn about this Hollow Earth." Sonya replied.

"Isn't Doctor Carter supposed to be with you guys?" he asked.

"He's staying with Maddie so they could find a man named Bernie Hayes." Bianca replied.

"I see. Get everything you need. We'll land at Skull Island in a few hours." he instructed.

"Thank you, director Gullierman." said Sonya.

A few hours later, after arriving on Skull Island, Bianca and Sonya walked to the front entrance of the containment facility as staff personnel are busy with their work. The two cousins walk to the receptionist desk, in hopes they will find Doctor Ilene Andrews.

"May I help you?" asked the receptionist.

The two cousins took their employee ID badges out of their Monarch jacket and showed it to the receptionist.

"We're looking for someone named Doctor Ilene Andrews." Sonya replied after putting away her badge ID in her jacket.

"Hold please." the receptionist ordered before pressing on the intercom.

"Doctor Andrews, you have visitors." the receptionist informed.

"I'll be right there." Doctor Andrews replied.

"She's on her way. Please wait." the receptionist instructed.

Five minutes later, the woman, who looks like she's middle-aged, and a small child is seen walking beside her, and they approached the two cousins.

"I'm gonna guess and say that's Doctor Ilene Andrews and the deaf kid that's walking beside her is JIa." said Bianca.

"Who are you?" Doctor Andrews asked.

"My name is Doctor Sonya Jackson. And this is Doctor Bianca Taylor." Sonya replied.

"The reason we're here is because someone named Nathan Lind wrote a book called Hollow Earth and we need to learn about this place called Hollow Earth." said Bianca.

"Come with me." Doctor Andrews ordered.

Bianca and Sonya put on their raincoats over their Monarch jacksts and followed Doctor Andrews and Jia to meet with Nathan Lind.

"A power source in Hollow Earth? This is crazy Nathan. Even for you." She called over the wind and rain as they all made their way to a door leading inside.

"It's there! We just need Kong to bring us to it!" Doctor Lind called back.

"The second you take Kong away from this facility Godzilla's going to come for him!" Doctor Andrews called back.

Inside, after taking off their coats and entering Kong's habitat, Doctor Lind pressed Doctor Andrews. Bianca and Sonya followed their companions as they looked around the habitat, which in reality is in simulation.

"You even said you can't keep him here forever." He said.

"No… Our meddling has already wreaked havoc on Kong's habitat. And there's no way in Hell I'm letting you drag him half way across the world to use him as a weapon."

"No. Not as a weapon, Ilene. As an ally. He can protect us and lead the way down there. That's all." He countered.

"What even makes you think that he'll go in?" She asked.

"You always believed that Skull Island was like the Hollow Earth come to the surface, right? Well that's where Kong's ancestors came from." He began.

"Mmhmm." She mumbled.

"Through the entrance we found in Antarctica we could help him find a new home. And he could, in turn, help save ours… Hers." He said, gesturing to Jia. "The power source down there may be our only hope."

"Nathan… Ugh…" Doctor Andrews sighed.

"Ilene. Please. You saw how Godzilla's attack demolished Pensacola. That was just a small town. What happens when he starts turning his rage against major cities the world over? Humanity can withstand a lot of things. But we can't withstand the wrath of Godzilla." He continued.

Doctor Andrews' breath hitched in her throat.

She looked down at Jia, then at the ground, back to Nathan, and back to the ground as her breath finally escaped in a long hiss through her teeth. She turned away from Doctor Lind and walked a few steps out with her hands on her hips.

The images of the news broadcast showing Godzilla's rampage and firing his atomic breath every which direction played in her mind like a broken record. And though she tried to fight it back she couldn't help but envision Godzilla appearing here on Skull Island and destroying the facility with everyone she knew, including Jia, along with it.

One of her hands covered her mouth as she took another deep breath through the gaps in her fingers and let it out on a sigh while turning around to face Nathan.

"Kong's our only chance, Ilene… And we have to take it." he continued.

She stared at Nathan. And in her mind she saw Kong battling Godzilla without a prayer. Being beaten back. Clawed. Bitten. Tail swiped. Gored on Godzilla's spines. And blasted with his atomic breath point-blank until he was barely a smoldering heap in the midday sun.

"What chances do we have?" asked Bianca.

Her eyes began welling up as her mind tried to fight these visions by rationalizing how Kong was strong. How he could hold his own in more ways than she gave him credit for. How he could use his intelligence and wits to outmaneuver Godzilla. How he could also have the help of humanity. How Serizawa and the others said they had the tech to basically recreate this facility and its acoustic cancellation of Kong's frequencies so Godzilla wouldn't know he was being moved anywhere.

She sniffed back the first sob and dried her eyes by closing them and breathing slowly.

"… Okay." Doctor Andrews finally said.

"Yes!" Doctor Lind cheered.

"But!… When it comes to Kong, what I say goes. Got it?" Doctor Andrews finished.

"Yes, yes! You name the terms! He said excitedly while leaning rather suddenly to kiss her cheek.

"… Uh, sorry." He mumbled while smiling and giving Jia a little wave. "You won't regret this!"

"Mmhmm. I'm already regretting it." She mumbled back.

Looking at Jia, Doctor Andrews sighed.

This is his home. Jia signed. … Ours.

Doctor Andrews signed back, Our home is together. You and me.

"Kong isn't going to protect us from what's coming and threaten our existence." said Sonya.

And that will be the end of the thirty-sixth chapter for today. What do you guys think of it so far Love it? Hate it? So, I don't know if you guys are aware, but actor Lance Reddick, who plays the character director Guillerman, was supposed to have more scenes, but instead, it was decided that he'll have two scenes. And actress Zhang Ziyi was supposed to be back as Ilene Chen or Doctor Ling, but she didn't make the final cut of the movie. And I do hope that director Adam Wingard will make an announcement on whether he'll release the extended cut of the movie or not. But anyway, that's the end of the rant from me. More chapters are coming soon, and hopefully I can make time to focus on my other projects. So yeah, that is pretty much it for today. Continue to do your part on staying safe out there, being good, and not doing anything bad.
