Spyro was flying in the sky, heading back to the Dragon Temple.

Then Spyro saw the Grotto which was part of the Temple.

Then Spyro flew down and landed in the middle of the Grotto.

Then Spyro walked along the path and walked through the door and entered the Training Room.

Then Spyro walked to the other side of the room by going around the statue on the left side and they walked through the door and entered the room with the pool.

"You have made it back!" Ignitus said.

"I was about to look for you!" Ignitus said.

"But why did it take so long for you to get back?" Ignitus said.

"I faced Sunburn and lost and then I faced Camo and lost and then I faced Zap and lost." Spyro said.

"Why would you fight them?" Ignitus asked.

"Because I promised the citizens that I will check on something!" Spyro said.

"What was Sunburn doing in the Veron Temple?" Ignitus asked.

"Sunburn stole the Crystal Gear!" Spyro said.

"Do you know where Camo was?" Ignitus asked.

"Camo was in the Teron Temple!" Spyro said.

"What was Camo doing in the Teron Temple?" Ignitus asked.

"Camo stole the Crystal Gear!" Spyro said.

"Do you know where Zap was?" Ignitus asked.

"Zap was in the Heron Temple!" Spyro said.

"What was Zap doing in the Heron Temple?" Ignitus asked.

"Zap stole the Crystal Gear!" Spyro asked.

"Okay but it doesn't explain why you fought Sunburn and Camo and Zap after defeating the Robot Bears." Ignitus said.

"So why did you go inside the temples?" Ignitus asked.

"I promised Lana and Kono and Jevon that I will check on the Crystal Gears in the temples to make sure that they were still there!" Spyro answered.

"And why did you fight Sunburn and Camo and Zap in the temples where you found them?" Ignitus said.

"Because they summon crystals to block our escape!" Spyro said.

"And after losing to them, they flew off with the Crystal Gears!" Ignitus said.

"I see. Lana and Kono and Jevon were three of my friends when we were young and we are still friends. But I should have known that Sunburn and Camo and Zap were after the Crystal Gears! I didn't think anyone would steal the Crystal Gears but Sunburn and Camo and Zap did." Ignitus said.

"So do you have any clue why Sunburn and Camo and Zap stole the Crystal Gears?" Spyro asked.

Then Ignitus began thinking about why Sunburn and Camo and Zap would steal the Crystal Gears.

"No, they can't be trying to..." Ignitus said to himself out loud.

"They can't be trying to...what?" Spyro asked.

"I can't say for sure what they are trying to do but the other twelve Crystal Gears are in trouble too!" Ignitus said.

"The three Crystal Gears were left unprotected so they were easy to steal but the other twelve Crystal Gears are protected by the Guardians of the Crystal Gears so it would not be easy to steal." Ignitus said.

"At least those twelve Crystal Gears are protected so we don't have to worry about them!" Sparx said.

"It's true that Sunburn and Camo and Zap are the size and age as Spyro so they may have a disadvantage against the Guardians of the Crystal Gears but they may also have hidden strength within them." Ignitus said.

"So we better check on the other twelve Crystal Gears!" Spyro asked.

"My thoughts exactly!" Ignitus said.

"So do you know where to find the other twelve Crystal Gears?" Spyro asked.

"No, I don't but the citizens of Dinosaur Village might." Ignitus answered.

"How do I get to the Dinosaur Village?" Spyro asked.

"Just go flying straight ahead and go past the Heron Village, Heron Forest, and Heron Mountain and the Dinosaur doesn't have dead ends because the ends are paths that go to other villages!" Ignitus answered.

"Did you learn anything in the Veron, Teron, and Heron Forests?" Ignitus asked.

"I learned my electric breath in Veron Forest before facing Sunburn and then I learned my ice breath in Teron Forest before facing Camo and then I learned my earth breath in Heron Forest before facing Zap." Spyro answered.

"Now you are ready to face Sunburn and Camo and Zap." Ignitus said.

"I am now ready to face Sunburn and Camo and Zap?!" Spyro asked.

"Yes, Spyro, you are now ready to face Sunburn and Camo and Zap!" Ignitus answered.

"But I would like to be more prepared, so I am going to ask the other three Guardians that I rescued to teach me about the electric, ice, and earth elements that I learned in the forests." Spyro said.

Spyro looked around the room for Volteer, Cyri, and Terrador but they weren't in the room.

"Ignitus?" Spyro asked.

"Where are Volteer, Cyril, and Terrador?" Spyro asked.

"They never made it here." Ignitus answered.

"What?!" Spyro asked.

"But I rescued them!" Spyro said.

Then Ignitus walked to the wall

Then Ignitus spoke in the left voice recorder.

"Lana, was Volteer saved?" Ignitus asked.

"Yes, he was! I saw Volteer flying towards the Dragon Temple!" Lana's voice in the recorder said.

Then Ignitus spoke in the right voice recorder.

"Kono, was Cyril saved?" Ignitus asked.

"Yes, he was! I saw Cyril flying towards the Dragon Temple!" Kono's voice in the recorder said.

Then Ignitus spoke in the middle voice recorder.

"Jevon, was Terrador saved?" Ignitus asked.

"Yes, he was! I saw Terrador flying towards the Dragon Temple!" Jevon's voice in the recorder said.

"Thank you for telling me the truth." Ignitus said.

"You're welcome, Ignitus. Bye!" Lana and Kono and Jevon said.

"Bye!" Ignitus said.

"Then Ignitus stopped the voice recorders and walked back to Spyro and stopped in front of him.

"Why are they called voice recorders if you can talk to other creatures like Lana, a Pegasus, and Kono, a Lochness, and Jevon, a Griffin?" Spyro asked.

"Because a dark purple dragon made these special recorders that can call anyone and they can still record your own voice!" Ignitus answered.

"I see." Spyro said.

"Now, we were talking about Volteer, Cyril, and Terrador not being here even though you saved them." Ignitus said.

"If you did rescue them and if they aren't here then that could only mean one thing!" Ignitus said.

"What is that thing?" Spyro said.

"That thing is that Cynder captured them!" Ignitus said.

"Cynder?" Spyro asked.

"Who's that?" Spyro asked.

"Cynder is one of the complications that turned the tide against when we were facing the Dark Army." Ignitus said.

"What do you know about Cynder?" Spyro asked.

"Cynder is monstrous, horrific, ferocious, a black dragon that terrorizes the sky, an unstoppable force of nature..." Ignitus answered.

"Cynder is the real reason why the land is this way." Ignitus said.

"Wait a minute!" Sparx said.

"I thought Sunburn and Camo and Zap were the ones who put the land in danger!" Sparx said.

"Sparx has a point. You did say that Sunburn and Camo and Zap were the ones who caused all this. You said that Sunburn and Camo and Zap put all the islands under destruction and despair." Spyro said.

"It's true that Sunburn and Camo and Zap put all the islands under destruction and despair but Cynder put all the islands under her iron rule." Ignitus said.

"So Cynder is a more evil threat than Sunburn and Camo and Zap." Ignitus said.

"If Cynder and Sunburn and Camo and Zap join forces then we will have a bigger problem in our hands!" Ignitus said.

"Then we have to stop Cynder!" Spyro said.

"Not so fast, Spyro!" Ignitus said.

"You aren't ready to face Cynder yet!" Ignitus said.

"You need to master the other elements before you can face Cynder which means that you must run if you encounter Cynder." Ignitus said.

"I see." Spyro asked.

"Then let's rescue the Guardians!" Spyro said.

"Not so fast, Spyro!" Ignitus said.

"We don't even know where the other Guardians are!" Ignitus said.

"But what about the pool?" Spyro asked.

"Let me see." Ignitus answered.

Ignitus turned and looked in the pool and saw nothing except for the other twelve Crystal Gears.

Then Ignitus turned back to Spyro.

"No, the pool doesn't tell us where Volteer or Cyril or Terrador are now. The only thing the pool is telling us is to protect the other twelve Crystal Gears." Ignitus said.

"But how did Volteer and Cyril and Terrador get captured by Cynder?" Spyro asked.

"You want to know who Haul works for?" Ignitus asked.

"Yes, I want to know who Haul works for!" Spyro said.

"Haul works for Cynder." Ignitus said.

"That reminds me." Spyro said.

"Does Cynder have an interest in the Crystal Gears?" Spyro asked.

"No, Cynder doesn't have an interest in the Crystal Gears." Ignitus answered.

"Then what does Cynder have an interest in?" Spyro asked.

"Cynder has an interest in the four Guardians of the Dragon Temple." Ignitus answered.

"But how did Cynder find out that the other three Guardians of Dragon Temple were free from their net traps and then capture the other three Guardians of the Dragon Temple?" Spyro asked.

"The reason why Cynder found out that the other three Guardians of the Dragon Temple were free from their net traps and then captured the other three Guardians of Dragon Temple is that Haul must have been watching you heading to the Veron Forest and then he reported the fact to Cynder." Ignitus asked.

"I can only assume what happened after that." Ignitus.

"My assumption is this!" Ignitus said.

"When Haul got to Cynder, Cynder told him that he better give her good news and then Haul told Cynder that the Purple Dragon was still alive. Cynder, getting angry, asked Haul why he was doing in her place and then telling Haul to find and eliminate the Purple Dragon. Then Haul told Cynder that he thought that she wanted to know something. Cynder, still angry, asked Haul what was that something. Then Haul told Cynder that the Purple Dragon was heading to the Veron Forest. Cynder, stopped being angry, was curious and asked Haul is that place where Volteer was trapped in net trap and Haul answered yes. Cynder, thinking twice, made a new plan and that plan was to follow you and then telling him to report to her that the other three Guardians of the Dragon Temple were free so that she could capture them!" Ignitus said.

"You mean I led Cynder to Volteer, Cyril, and Terrador?" Spyro asked.

"You did but it was an accident." Ignitus answered.

"You didn't even know about Cynder and the fact that she was using you to get to Volteer, Cyril, and Terrador." Ignitus said.

"But the main focus now is to stop Sunburn and Camo and Zap before they steal more Crystal Gears!" Ignitus said.

"Right!" Spyro said.

So Spyro left the room by going through the door and entering the Training Room.

Then Spyro went to the other side of the room by going around the statue on the left side.

Then Spyro walked through the door and walked on the path until he reached the Grotto.

Then Spyro walked to the middle of the Grotto and then flew off to the sky.

Then Spyro flew straight ahead past the Heron Village, Heron Forest, and Heron Mountain.

Meanwhile at Cynder's Mountain.

"Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!" Cynder laughed.

"My plan worked perfectly! Cynder said.

"Volteer, Cyril, and Terrador are captured and then I will drain their power to power up those orbs!" Cynder said.

"What do you want me to do with the Purple Dragon?" Haul asked.

"Just follow the Purple Dragon!" Cynder demanded.

"Should I eliminate him?" Haulm asked.

"Where is the Purple Dragon going?" Cynder asked.

"To Dinosaur Village so he can figure out where the other twelve Crystal Gears are so that he can stop Sunburn and Camo and Zap!" Haul said

"Then don't eliminate the Purple Dragon!" Cynder demanded.

"Why not?" Haul asked.

"Sunburn and Camo and Zap will eliminate the Purple Dragon!" Cynder said.

"But Sunburn and Camo and Zap don't work for us!" Haul protested.

"I know that Sunburn and Camo and Zap don't work for the Dark Army but I do know that they will kill anyone who gets in their way!" Cynder said.

"I want you to follow the Purple Dragon and to report to me if the outlaws eliminated him or not!" Cynder demanded.

"Yes, Cynder!" Haul said.

"Now go and follow the Purple Dragon!" Cynder demanded.

Then Haul left Cynder's Mountain and is going after Spyro.

So Spyro is heading to Dinosaur Village unaware that he is being followed.
