Loud sobs could be heard throughout the grey air of the Pridelands that most of the pride called the Shadowlands.

In the cave under priderock, Sarabi and Sarafina laid holding a sobbing Starra while Nala laid in front with a paw on the goldish lioness' paw.

"I'm so sorry, Starra. I... should of.. I was there and... didn't do anything..." tears fell from the tawny lioness' green eyes.

Sarabi nuzzled Nala before shaking her head. "Hush now, Nala. You aren't to blame, Scar is."

"Sarabi is right," Artem added. "Besides, there weren't much you could do."

Nala lowered her head as the black lioness laid besides Nala and rested her head against Nala's.

Uru watched and felt the guilt eat her alive. But she had to make things right. She just didn't know how.

"Uru,"

The goldish lioness turned to see Asra standing at the cave entrance. Glancing at the gathered lionesses around her granddaughter before standing and following the light beige lioness.

Uru and Asra walked to they reached the old Lion Guard lair. Neither of the old lionesses say anything before Asra turned and spoke.

"There's going to be fallout."

Uru sat and nodded. "I know. The males are going to want Scar's blood but it's going to be a slaughter if they do. They're no match against Scar and their hyenas."

Asra didn't say anything for a moment before looking at her friend. "Uru, I need to tell you something. It's been bugging me for awhile now."

Uru frowned at the tired look in Asra's purple eyes. "You haven't been sleeping? What's going wrong?"

Asra took a deep breath before responding. "Did Scar kill Mufasa?"

Uru's green eyes widened as she gasped. "How did you know?"

Asra lowered her head. "I remembered the dream you told me that Ahadi had. Then years later there's a accidental stampede. I believe the kings of the past are were warning us. To perhaps prevent what we saw."

Uru shook her head as she stood. "Do you hear yourself?" then she realized something. "What do you mean by 'we'?"

Asra glanced up at the huge hole on top of the lair and looked at the stars before lowering her head. "The first one was before Wivu and Sarabi were born. Now I have been having them frequently since the cubs became young adults."

"Okay," Uru inhaled and exhaled. "What was in your dreams?"

Asra pinned her ears as tears started falling. "A cub, with tawny fur and green eyes, like yours actually was murdered by a white lioness and a pale tan lioness."

Uru knew how to respond but she couldn't believe what she heard. With a deep breath, she spoke. "Nala. She's my granddaughter. That means Nala would be the cub's mother. What did the land look like?"

Asra smiled sadly. "Like during Mufasa's rule."

Uru's eyes brightened. "That's it! If your dreams happening in a healthy land, we know what we must do."

Asra frowned as she pinned her ears. "We do?"

"Yes!" Uru head bumped her friend. "The answer is in your dreams. We must send Nala for help.."

...

The outskirts of the Pridelands is where Princess Zira was headed after receiving a message from Fai that Gwen wanted to meet.

After climbing over a ridge, the pale tan lioness was greeted with the sight of her waiting step-mother.

"About time, dearie."

Zira growled as she approached. "What do you want and it better not be about what happened with Starra."

Gwen narrowed her dark brown eyes. "Don't mention that girl's name. She seduced your father and if she becomes pregnant I refuse to let it be named heir."

"Soo.." Zira stretched before lying down. "What do you want me do about it? A gave birth to another cub and he rejected her. I'm not mating again, last time with Tojo was enough."

Gwen glared at the younger lioness. "Tojo is still my son. Besides, what I have in works you won't have to give birth.."

Zira stared at her cousin in confusion. Wondering what the white lioness was planning.

Tree Of Life(A Few Weeks Later)

A cool breeze blew the blades of grass as well as carry the excited voices of two lionesses.

"Have you and Surak thought of names?" asked a light brown lioness with three dark brown markings under her eyes. Her brown eyes gazing adorably at the dark brown infant in the brownish lioness' colorless paws.

Amali smiled at her friend before moving her green eyes towards her sleeping son. "That's the thing Ãnanda. We haven't come up with one."

Ãnanda smiled at the younger lioness. "Sãhasí is so proud of his little brother." Ãnanda sighed. "I can't wait for when me and Sãhasí have a cub."

Amali smiled as she placed a paw on the older lioness'. "It'll happen soon. Just you wait."

The friends looked down at the cub, who had dark brown fur. A tiny darker brown tuff on his head.

A loving smile formed on Amali's muzzle as she gazed at her son. She never thought she could love as much as she does her son this quick. She gave her brown cub a nuzzle causing him to blink open a pair of green eyes that mirror her own.

But soon the friends' attention was soon focused on the cave entrance at the sound of approaching paws.

Amali and Ãnanda looked up to see Oriane standing nearby with a pale tan lioness. But the question is, what is they doing here?

"What can I do for you, Oriane? And who's your friend?" Ãnanda asked looking at the old pale beige lioness.

Oriane grinned as she sat to the side as the pale tan lioness smiled as she walked forward. "My name's Zira and you can do me a solid, by handing over that cub."

Amali's eyes narrowed as she snarled. "Never!"

Zira smiled evily before roaring. Out of the swaying blades of grass a yellow lioness attacked along with a light brown lioness. While Ãnanda was occupied with the attackers, Zira turned to the brownish lioness.

Amali growled before leaping at the pale tan lioness. Causing the cub to fall out of her paws with a cry. Amali was already weak from giving birth so Zira had the upper hand and smacked the new mother across the head. Causing the brownish lioness to stumble and fall.

Zira snarled before latching on Amali's throat until the younger female went limp.

Zira chuckled darkly with a purr. "What a waste." she then turned her gleaming amber eyes on the fussing dark brown cub. "Hush. hush my little one. Mommy's here."

With a quick movement, Zira picked the cub up and ran off with Ãnanda's attackers and Oriane.

Ãnanda's world kept going in and out. She watched Zira leave before moving her brown eyes to her friend. Amali laid motionless with blood pouring out of her neck.

Ãnanda felt hot tears fall down her face before everything went black as she lost consciousness.
