"BIG BRO!" Ruby disappears in a blur and petal scatter, attached to Chris's waist after she launched herself at him. He smiles, petting her head.
"You miss me? I was only gone a day."
Ruby nods quickly.
"Yeah! Nobody knew where you went and you left so suddenly! Did you do anything cool?!"
"I sure did. I can tell you a little bit but let's go inside first, ok?"
Ruby snuggles into his arms, staring up at him with a bright smile. The two walk to the dorms and enter Team RWBYY's room, finding everyone there.
"You're back! Where did you run off to without telling anybody?" Weiss demands while Yang and Blake snicker.
"You mean, telling me. You couldn't be more obvious if you tried Ice Queen." Yang bursts into laughter at seeing Weiss's face redden, embarrassed Yang caught her so easily.
"It's alright Weiss. I'll tell you guys."
Chris sits down, Ruby in his lap and Weiss to his side while looking across to where Yang and Blake sat.
"I went to Atlas."
"Wait, what?" Blake can't help but question.
"How did you get back so early? Even by bullhead, Atlas is over a day away to and back." Yang adds.
"Simple really. I took a bullhead to Atlas than teleported back." Chris shrugs.
...
"You what?"
"Did I not tell you guys? I can teleport."
...
"... I'm not even surprised at this point." Blake sums up everyone's thought with that.
"I told you I have a weird power. Anyway, I can't tell you a few things I did due to it being involved with the Atlas military. What I can tell you, is that I met Winter while I was there Weiss." Chris smiles at her.
"Y-you did?" Weiss questioned worriedly.
"Yeah, I got her blessing to date you too."
Weiss turns scarlet but an uncontrollable smile forms on her face. Winter's opinion was the only one that mattered to her in her family.
"Awwwwwwwww... isn't that adorable Blake?!" Yang giggles out, making Blake giggle back with a nod. Ruby giggles along with them while enjoying Chris's headpats.
"Shut up you three." looking at them with slight embarrassment, she turns back to Chris.
"I'm glad. She didn't hurt you or anything, did she?" Weiss looks him over for injury, while he chuckles.
"No? Should she have?"
"Well, she shouldn't have but sometimes if a boy gets an interest in me she would... persuade them not to." Weiss finishes with a sigh.
"... guess I dodged a bullet." shivering, he remembers that look Winter had.
Weiss nods, before scooting closer to hug him and lean her head on his shoulder. She smiles as she looks up into his eyes and he leans forward to give her a kiss. Ruby seeing this, looks away with a blush. They break the kiss off and Chris stares down at Ruby, planting a kiss on her forehead before placing her down.
"Anything happen while I was gone?"
"Not really." Yang shrugs.
"Boring. I have to go see Ozpin for a bit but then I'll be back later, ok gang?" Chris stands up, giving Weiss one last kiss to which she grins.
"Go already you dolt. I expect you to be back in time for bed."
Blake gives a wave and Ruby gives a hug before he leaves. He makes his way to Ozpin's office, making sure he wasn't tailed before entering.
"Mr. Yin. Come in please." Ozpin sips his beverage while Qrow and Glynda stand near the table he sits.
"Hey kid. Doing ok?" Qrow asks.
"Hello Christopher." Glynda nods, treating him like an equal.
"You all having your little group role play session?"
Qrow snickers and Glynda scoffs. Ozpin chuckles, able to see the joke at the absurdity himself.
"Yes Mr. Yin. We were discussing Amber and the Fall Maiden, Cinder. You have news for us on that end I presume?"
"I do. Cinder tasked Emerald and Mercury with gaining my allegiance or failing that, capture. I plan to steal her followers away or take care of them."
Ozpin nods.
"If you can convert them to our side, they'd be excellent additions. I do believe they can be redeemed, even if it will take time."
A silence falls.
"I informed Ironwood of the situation as well."
Qrow looks at Chris with a grimace.
"You told James? That might do more harm than good kid."
"You gotta trust him Qrow. He may not always have solutions but he trusted all three of you implicitly. You need to show him the same."
Ozpin takes a moment to think.
"I believe young Christopher is right in this case. With the information we know now, James shouldn't be kept in the dark. This concerns Atlas as much as Vale and Beacon."
Qrow sighs, backing off.
"Can I go back to my dorm now?"
Ozpin nods, waving him off.
Chris heads back, opening the door to their room quietly, finding Yang and Blake asleep in Blake's bed and Ruby asleep in her own. Weiss is on her side facing away, engrossed in a book and not having heard the door. Chris grins mischievously, slipping into bed with her quickly and wrapping his arms around her, covering her mouth so she doesn't make noise. Weiss panics a little.
"Hey Snow Angel. You miss me?" Chris's grin was audible, she sighs muffled in relief before he takes his hand off her mouth.
"You scared me." Weiss quietly giggles, craning her head to face him.
"I couldn't resist. You were too focused on the book." kissing her cheek to make her blush.
"Don't tease me..." she pouts. Chris smirks, pulling her closer and kissing her deeply. Overjoyed, Weiss turns her body to hug him back and holds the kiss.
"Mmm... you're beautiful Weiss."
Weiss blushes at the compliment, snuggling up with him.
"We should get some sleep Chris..."
Chris kisses her forehead, pulling the covers over them and holding her tightly.
"Goodnight Weiss."
"Goodnight Chris..."
The two fall asleep with a smile.
