With the car gone and his flat cleared of human remains, Noll sat at his desk. There had been plenty of work for him, so many interesting connections to observe.

He glanced between drawings while scribbling down notes in a journal. Noll was very pleased with his findings, but there was still so much work to be done, tests to be run.

Pausing, Noll looked up. At the corner of his desk sat a jar filled with fluid. Floating in the clear substance was a single eyeball.

Though Lin had been blind in one eye, Noll knew he possessed the ability to see...beyond with it. He had no intentions of wasting such a unique subject. Of course, Noll knew it was unlikely he would ever find another person that possessed such a physical anomaly, so no comparison could ever be done, but it was still fascinating, nonetheless.

Shifting his focus to a partially completed sketch of the eye, Noll frowned. Although the eye was completely detached, Noll felt as if it were truly watching him. It was a feeling he couldn't shake.

Rotating the jar, Noll observed the round organ.

It spun slowly to face him before coming to a stop.

Any normal person would have been frightened. Noll was simply annoyed.

"You truly are a watchdog, aren't you?" he mumbled.

The eye remained still, seemingly focused on Noll.
