Worldwide Industries

Making her way to the break room and in a good mood, Iris Durbanowski, the mother of Gwen Munson and recently released prisoner was enjoying her life. First she got pardoned and released from jail, second she made amends with Gwen, Will, also including Barbara, and now she has a job as Ripley Wells assistant, who handles appointments, paper work and everything else you could imagine. So life was treating Iris very well except for the fact that she has to put up with the likes of Lilly Snyder and Dusty Donovan, who she doesn't see much of. When she passes either one of them, it's clear as day that they do NOT want her here still. But that was just too bad you know? Now that Wells was the co-owner of the company along with Lilly after the big meeting a couple of months ago, the two bosses have to work together in order to make it work. That also means if Dusty or Lilly accuse Wells of anything, then there's nothing both of them can do about it. So far she's been loyal to the man Iris barely knows but as long as the two are on the same page, they should be fine. Making herself and Wells a cup of coffee, behind her, Dusty Donovan, who was going to the break room himself stopped and saw Ripley's assistant.

Dusty - "Looks like you beat me to it Iris or are you planning another scheme to break the law?"

Iris frowned frowns hearing Dusty's voice as she pressed a couple of buttons before the coffee maker comes on, then she turns to face Dusty. The man can be so smug at times and even so sanctimonious with how the way he speaks to others.

Iris - "Go to hell Donovan, is it such a crime for me to make coffee for myself?"

Dusty - "As long as you're not breaking into a closed store each and every night. Sometimes I wonder why you're even here...and what Ripley saw in you"

Iris - "Then why do you care or give a damn Dusty? People like you look down on me, the ones like you who are so full of themselves, you all have done your fair share of mistakes"

Dusty - "You're right, I don't give a damn about you Iris, I just don't want you here at Worldwild. Actually you AND Wells don't belong here"

Iris - "Is that so? It's just too damn bad that from now on, you'll be running into me more often. If you can't handle it, you should quit and find another job"

Suddenly Wells comes into the break room and bumps past Dusty without even paying attention to who else was in here

Dusty - "Watch where you're going chump"

Ripley - "Excuse me?"

Dusty - "You heard what I said, watch where you're going Wells or shall I call you Mister Wells?"

Ripley - "Your sarcastic and disrespect is charming, but you should be lucky that I am not the sole owner of this place or you would be fired"

Dusty - "Oh really?"

When the coffee maker was done, Iris was about to take the cup and give it to Wells until Dusty snatches it and pours the coffee all over Ripley's shoes. Ripley moves out of the way before Dusty could pour the rest of the coffee out and groaned before kicking away the warm substance from his own. Iris, who was in shock immediately took napkins from the counter and gave them to Wells to wipe his feet but he pushed her hand away. Looking up at Donovan, who grinned, Wells was pissed that he would do something like this but it should not be surprising. From the files he looked at which belonged to his brother, Dusty Donovan was a manipulative, sneaky, liar of a con man from how he treated people and how he used others from time to time. If he wasn't the co-owner of the company right now, he would make Dusty regret doing what he just did as Lilly came into the room. Right off the bat she could see that something happened as there was a small pool of hot coffee spilled on the floor. That could only mean one thing, Ripley and Dusty got into it or they are just about to get into it. Lilly looks at Dusty who shrugged his shoulders as she knew immediately that Dusty started it.

Oakdale Police Department

Pulling up to the OPD, Katie sat back in the seat of her car with her eyes closed and not sure what to do. Now of course she was here to see her big sister and talk to her about the kind of good news. She was pregnant, that's the good news but the other news, she didn't know who the baby daddy is. It should be Christopher, they've been discussing and talking about having more children. Hell, they even made love the night after they had it out over Katie confessing to Christopher that she kissed Simon on the island when Jacob and Barbara were kidnapped that other night too. Christopher forgave her and the two made up by sleeping together but then there's also the night when Katie and Simon accidentally slept together when Donovan unleashed that gas on them before leaving the compound for them to die. Christopher so was happy to be a dad again after all this time since they've been married. How in the world was she going to tell him that the child may not be his? Getting out of the car, Katie walks inside the department looking for her sister until an officer tells Katie she was in her office, so she walks up and knocks on the door.

Margo - "Come in!"

Katie opens the door to see Margo doing some paper work and checking out daily logs from all of her officers/detectives. Margo saw her little sister and smiled, happy to see her so she could at least excuse herself from work for the time being.

Margo - "Hey Katie, what brings you by?"

Katie - "Well I got some big news to share Margo and news you may or may not like"

Margo - "What's the big news?":

Katie sighs and opens her purse before taking out the pregnancy test, then she hands it over to Margo before sitting down. Margo took the pregnancy test from Katie and immediately recognized it, seeing the plus sign at the end.

Margo - "A pregnancy test? Wait a minute Katie...are you...you got to be..."

Katie - "Pregnant? Yes, I am going to be a mom one more time and you'll be an aunt to your nephew or niece"

Margo smiles before she gets up and hugs her sister, so happy that she was going to be aunt again. Kissing Katie on the cheek, she sat back down and leaned back against her chair.

Margo - "That's wonderful news sis, I bet Christopher is over the moon as we speak isn't he?"

Katie - "Yes he is, we haven't have told anyone though until now. Chris is going to tell Tom and his parents at some point, right now he's busy...but that's not the other big news"

Margo - "What do you mean?"

Katie - "How can I even say this? Well...Chris...he may not be the father"

Margo - "Huh? What are you talking about? Of course Chris is the father of your new born baby, who else are you, wait...no...it can't be Katie"

Katie - "Yes...it might be Simon's after all"

Margo had put two and two together, the baby belongs to Simon and not Christopher. Well they didn't know the answer to that yet but from the concern, worried look she could see on her sister's face, Katie was just about sure Simon is the father of her future son or daughter. If not Simon then who else? No one, but this is starting to become Katie's worse nightmare when she should be happy and already planning what they need to do next for their child. Katie could wish that she could go back in time to reverse the damage, even if she didn't mean to hurt Chris. Both her and Simon would not have kissed each other in the cabin on the island and they would not have slept together. Now this child may not have a father at all, because she knew Simon would take responsibility and be a good father despite not having any kind of experience. Then there was Chris, but would he really give up on Katie, their marriage and the family they have with Jacob. And yes, there's Jacob who was also innocent in all of this, as the kid didn't want to see his parents split over something like that. Either way, Chris and Simon were going to be understanding or a fist fight would take place and that's what Katie doesn't want.

Montgomery & Associates

Coming back from his lunch break with Rosanna and Johnny, Craig was glad to spend more time with his son along with his ex-wife whom he was getting more accustomed too lately. At one point they could never stand one another mostly because of Craig himself. The man will admit, he can be such a hot mess at times and make the situations completely worse but now Craig was learning better including being a better father to his children over the past ten years. Nothing was perfect but at least Craig understood the pain he put people through and how his decisions affected others including Rosanna herself. She was such a good woman who Craig never deserved to have in the first place, and because of his actions he made things worse between them. Rosanna has every reason to not put up with Craig's crap and for all this time, she's done a good job of avoiding whatever Craig had up his sleeve. And even though Craig has been on his best behavior, Rosanna wasn't interested in starting a relationship with him again. Craig on the other hand still had feelings for her, he just didn't know how to tell her. As all three of them walk up to the building, they stop before Craig hugs Johnny.

Craig - "Alright buddy, I will see you tomorrow after Rosanna picks you up from school okay?"

Johnny - "Okay dad"

Craig - "Have fun tonight with Rosanna but be good"

Johnny - "I will dad, I promise"

Craig - "Good" *Looks up at Rosanna* "Thank you for today Rosanna, it was good for us to have this time with Johnny"

Rosanna - "I agree Craig. Whenever were with Johnny, you light up like a Christmas tree, something that's rarely seen when it comes to you"

Craig - "I'm always in a good mood Rosanna. Sometimes the annoying people of this town, minus my family and others burst my bubble for no reason"

Rosanna - "Am I one of those annoying people?"

Craig - *Smiles* "No, no you're not Rosanna, I enjoy the time we have together too when were with my son. Anyway work is calling me, see you around"

Craig waved at them both as Rosanna who wanted to say something kept her mouth shut. Her head was telling her to just keep quiet and not say anything but the heart told her to just say something. In the end she decided to keep quiet then went into her car with Johnny before driving away from Montgomery & Associates. Using the elevator to go up to the main floor that his office was located in, Craig steps off it and goes his office. Walking passed the receptionist she got up and was trying to tell him something but Craig ignored her. Craig finds a surprise waiting for him in his office as he opens the door seeing a woman Craig never thought of seeing again.

Craig - " Samantha? Samantha Markham? It's really you isn't it?

The blonde had her back to him when she looked out the window before turning around and looking at Craig before he smirked. It was her alright but something told him this was no time for playing around or catching up on history.

Samantha - "Yes and you're going to help me Montgomery, seeing that no one else will. It's very important that we do this"

Craig was still blown away from seeing the woman he thought died the night when she vanished from him and her loved ones. Telling the receptionist that it was okay, she leaves the office before giving Samantha a warning glare though Samantha didn't really give a damn what she thought about her. She only wanted Craig's help to get him out of the mess they she has created for so long. She didn't mean to bring this on his doorstep but the one person who can get him out of this jam was Craig, and the man could do wonders with the connections he has. But how far was he willing to go to help her? This was no time to fool around and beat around the bush as Craig was a serious man when it comes to handling his business. Slowly walking up to the blonde and making sure this was real he stopped right in front of her before he touched, feeling her near cold skin. Craig immediately hugged her catching Samantha off guard and by surprised by what he was doing. The old Craig Montgomery was cutthroat and ruthless but deep down there was a soft spot, maybe this was one of them. Samantha hugged him back. The question though, how was she going to explain herself to him for what may happen next.

Worldwide Industries

Lilly should not be shocked that Dusty was trying to start up trouble judging from the look on both men's faces. Whenever there was someone Dusty did not like he would at least try to ruffle their feathers a little bit. He would always show it by taking action as Lilly sees the mess on the floor that was made, mostly by Dusty. Since the aftermath of the big meeting with the stockholders and the board of directors, Lilly has done her best so far to work with Wells on some of the issues facing the company. But every time they meet Lilly has this uneasy vibe about the guy that reminded her about James Stenbeck. He was part of the reason that her mom and Lilly nearly broke a part, even the one time when Lucinda was going to confess the man's crimes but backed out for no reason. It didn't make sense until it was revealed that James had a part in all of it. Ripley so far hasn't done any harm to the company or to Lilly and Dusty herself, but things were far from over between them all. She also had to be careful because of Iris too, who was the wild factor, because even though the woman is working for Wells, there's no way she could trust her boss. Lilly steps over the mess and between the two men.

Lilly - "Okay you two, whatever is going on, break it up"

Ripley - "I didn't start anything, ask your...well one of our employees what happened or if he even is an employee"

Lilly - "Dusty?"

Dusty - "He got underneath my skin and I was just testing him to see how he would react"

Ripley - "Did I physically attack you or punch you? No, but after the stunt he pulled I had to urge to hit him"

Dusty - "If you want to get froggy Wells then jump, it's not that hard to do"

Lilly - "Both of you...stop okay? Ripley, when you have the chance can you please see me in my office? We need to discuss the finance report that was sent to me by the CFO of the company"

Ripley - "And that will be no problem Lilly. I'll meet you in your office in about five minutes, I was just here to get the coffee that my assistant was making for me"

Iris - "And here it is Ripley"

Ripley - "Thank you Iris"

Ripley takes the coffee from Iris and the first sip as he nodded his head, feeling a little more at ease after what just happened.

Ripley - "Ahhhhh...just the way I like it. Thank you Iris, now we must move along, I will see you in five minutes Lilly"

Dusty - "Watch your step when walking out"

Ripley glared at Dusty before he left the break room with Iris. When they were out of the room, Lilly smacked Dusty upside the head.

Dusty - "What was that for!?"

Lilly - "For acting like an idiot! I know you don't like the guy Dusty but he works here now. If you did something damming against him, worse than pouring coffee on his shoes, I would have no choice but to let you go"

Dusty - "Then what do you expect me to do, put up with it? He doesn't deserve to be here Lilly and you know it"

Lilly - "Trust me, I know Dusty but we can't let him get the best of both of us. That means we need to keep our cool and just 'try' to work things out"

Dusty - "Okay, fair enough Lilly. What now? At some point we'll have to boot him out of Worldwide"

Lilly - "I have plan for that Dusty. We'll be in touch about it, but right now just be cool and stay out of Wells sight, don't poke the beer"

Dusty - "Aye aye captin, see you later"

Dusty does a mock salute before leaving the break room as Lilly noticed a janitor, pointing at him to fix what was needed to be cleaned. When she left the break room, Lilly went back to her office just like Dusty did, she made sure to gather the finance report for her meeting with Wells. Dusty, despite nearly being reprimanded for provoking the boss thanks to Lilly calling him out on it, obviously didn't care but she was right about a couple things. If anything happened that caused Lilly to no longer own the company that her mother created from the ground up then that means Ripley would take full ownership. He would fire Dusty and anyone else who stands in the way, so Dusty was thankful in a way that Lilly was the 50/50 owner of the company still. Stepping into his office he noticed Ripley talking to Iris about something before he walked away from her. Dusty closed the door behind him but pretended to just to hear him talking to someone on the phone about something else that he wasn't happy about, but who? The next couple of minutes Dusty heard the sound of hard closing of Wells phone and nearly stopping down to Lilly's office.

Oakdale Police Department

How in the world was Katie going to resolve this? And she didn't even do a DNA text yet? In order for that to happen it would take place after she gives the birth to her baby, but Chris and Simon would get suspicious from the way she'll act and try to make it seem like nothing happened. In a way Katie knew this was her fault the moment when both her and Simon slept together. It didn't matter what Donovan tried to do to them, pretending to have them dead or at least attempting too, it happened and that was that. Even Margo was trying to absorb this and the mess her sister has made. She should of knew the moment Margo, Jack, Chris, etc found her that they slept together despite the knockout gas coming into affect. And now this was going to turn into a mess and when both Chris and Simon find out, one of them will be pissed and the other will do his best to work with Katie. Standing up from the chair Katie walks up to the window just staring endlessly at the phone, not caring about the other officers/detectives who were doing their own jobs. She placed her hand on her stomach and thought of her child, not sure who the father was. Katie shook her head before she started to speak.

Margo - "There must be some mistake Katie or maybe something in your mind is telling you and you want to believe it"

Katie - "Margo, I am sure that my child's father lives in the land down under. It just can't be Chris's child, this is all my fault"

Feeling tears threatening to spill from her eyes, Katie, already feeling the hormones starting to kick in starts to rub her eyes as Margo gets up.

Margo - "Hey now, it's going to be alright Katie"

Margo hugs her sister from behind and kisses her on the cheek. She already was feeling guilt from this which is what Margo could see from miles away.

Katie - "No it's not going to be alright, it's going to turn from zero to a hundred quick when the two of them know what's going on"

Margo - "Which means you're going to tell them?"

Katie - "Maybe...but then again it would crush Chris more than Simon. If I tell Simon the two of us will bond more and Chris will hate it, he'll start to feel out of place, like he doesn't belong here or something like that"

Margo - "Take some time to figure things out sis, you got all the time in the world to tell them. But don't forget, you also need to focus on my future nephew. You are going to be a great mom you know?"

Katie - "Thanks Margo, I know you're going to be a great aunt too but spoiling my son or daughter by the way"

Both of them laugh before they hug one another. It was good enough to have the support of Margo in Katie's corner, despite some of the things she did to her that caused them to have differences before, but now they were better than ever

Margo - "You know I will Katie but seriously, just think about what you want to do. I'll support you a hundred percent"

Katie - "Thank you Margo but I better get back to work at KWOK, the crew needs me there"

Margo - "Of course, I have a lot to catch up on anyway Katie but take care. Tell Chris and Jacob I said hi okay? Have a great day and I love you kiddo"

Katie - "I love you too Margo"

Katie blows a kiss at Margo who does the same thing as Margo watches her leave, hoping Katie will do the right thing to tell the two men the truth. The one thing about the truth is that it can sting and hurt a lot, which is why Tom telling Margo at that time when he slept with Emily hurt so much for her. She was unfaithful to Tom herself back then when she slept with Margo but at least Tom understood, though she could understand his anger and frustration. In the end they forgave one another both times around despite them going through more challenges but it made their love stronger in the end. The same can happen for Katie and Chris but with a third man in the mix, someone in Simon that she knows so well, someone who has a past with her, it can be complicated. Margo sits down at her desk to continue her paperwork as outside of the OPD, Katie felt a little better after a talk with her big sister before she got in the car. The only thing she had to do now was talk to both men about this, but she had to think about going through this the right way. She loved both men but they were going to be hurt regardless of the outcome, so as Katie drives away from the OPD to KWOK, deep down Katie would get through this situation...she had to for herself, Jacob and her son or daughter.

Montgomery & Associates

Stepping away from Samantha, Craig looked at the blonde up and down, realizing she looked the same despite a couple grey hairs he was seeing from her hair. Samantha just looked at him strange and realize that this was kind of the same Craig Montgomery but at the same time he wasn't which is weird. The only reason they were together was because at one point Craig was trying to get over Sierra who was his everything back then. Craig even knew that Samantha was a con artist herself and knew how to play the game each and every time which worked out for her. She caused a lot of mischief and chaos between herself and her own sister in Lucinda which nearly blew a part their relationship. Heck, she's been in and out between her and Georgia (the two of them don't talk that much, only a little bit) after Samantha has kept in contact with her from time to time. But now things were very different and if there was any other man who could help her get out of a jam for the time being. There were some things that Craig didn't know about her or what she's been up to for the longest. Samantha rolls her eyes and shakes her head before her receptionist asked if she wanted to get security to throw her out.

Craig - "No...don't throw her out...just let me handle this. If anything happens, I will call you, your excused"

The receptionist walked out of the office, but gave Samantha a warning glare. Samantha ignored her and crossed her arms as she looked at Craig. Craig was the one she wanted to do business with in a way, no one else had the firepower that Craig had.

Samantha - "Well...are you going to stand there like a ghost and say nothing or do I need to walk out of here by myself?"

Craig - "I'm sorry I just...can't believe you're here and alive Samantha. Why are you here though? And...what trouble did you get yourself into?"

Samantha - "I need you're help Craig, to find my husband, to find Kirk. Recently, he's been missing and I don't know where he is"

Craig - "What do you think happened to him?"

Samantha - "He was probably taken or kidnapped by someone that even we don't know about. Maybe he was on the run and didn't have a chance to tell me "

Craig - "And who do you think is behind this?"

Samantha - "James Stenbeck"

Craig laughed and shook his head before Samantha narrowed her eyes, starting to not like where this was going between them.

Samantha - "What's so funny Montgomery?"

Craig - "James Stenbeck is dead Samantha, he can't behind what happened to Kirk. Last year his...brother came to Oakdale"

Samantha - "One, I know the man is dead and two, if it's not him then it has to be his brother who I never knew about"

Craig - "The name's Ripley Wells, he just scored up a huge gig as the co-owner of Worldwide Industries. You would think he comes off as a joke but he's got leverage"

Samantha - "Is this guy really all that powerful?"

Craig - "I haven't had the chance to look him up or get a chance to see him face to face but from Lilly and Dusty's information, the guy is a sleaze ball just like his own brother"

Samantha - "I don't care, all I want is Kirk so we can move on with the rest of our lives. Then you won't have to worry about the rest of us"

Craig - "Why not call the police? Why come to me?"

Samantha - "You mean the incompetent OPD? Not a chance, the difference between the two of them is that you have the connections and the insider information on everything"

Craig - "Well..."

Samantha - "Either you're with me or I will find someone else to do the job"

Craig sighed and nodded.

Craig - "Alright alright Samantha, I will help you. But here's the thing, you need to stay out of sight and be patient for the time being"

Samantha - "Okay, I can do that but don't take too long please? The more time we waste, the more time Kirk may be running out of options"

Craig - "I'll do it ASAP, for the time being I know a place where you can stay. It's on the outskirts of Oakdale, once I am finished here we can go"

Samantha sighed in relief and felt very good, glad that Craig was going to help her out but the other side of her told her not to get full of herself. A lot has changed in Oakdale over the years for Samantha, she usually kept tabs on the town from time to time. She knows how messed up and complicated things were between herself and Lucinda but nowadays Lucinda is all up in John Dixon's backside in their own relationship. Samantha didn't want to mess anything up between them including Lucinda's perfect life at the moment. Then you got Lilly who was busy with her own problems when it came to James Stenbeck, a man Samantha didn't know anything about since he came under the radar. Sitting down in the chair across from Craig's desk, he waited until the man was finished with everything as the two of them left the company. She got in Craig's car and went to where Craig wanted her to stay which was at a condo that he barely used unless he had to get away. Looking around the place, she liked it and decided to stay there as Craig made sure she had everything before going back to Montgomery and Associates. Now this was another fine mess Craig got himself into, how's he gonna get out of it?
