I have no fucking idea how I picked up my son, I have no idea how I got home. All I knew was it was 4 PM and I was at my house and my son was playing with his toys, apparently I had a power nap as well. I look to my phone and snort as I see a missed call from Laxus. I reach for my phone and I dial his number back.
"Hey bro." Laxus answers and he still sounds the same as when I left them earlier. "Are you home?" he asks and I sigh.
"Yeah, I am home, you guys?" I ask and I can hear they are still at the venue because I can hear Lucy and Zeref in the back ground.
"Natsu we still wanna drink!" I hear Lucy yell and then there is some laugher.
"Let's have a barbeque at your place?" Laxus asks and I raise a brow as I look around the house. It was clean and Lisanna would be home in one hour, and a barbeque wouldn't harm anyone right?
"Who?" I ask as I sit up straight on the couch and I look around. Everything was still as I left it this morning.
"Zeref and Cosmos, me and Laxus." I hear Lucy's voice and I sit for a moment as I listen to her upbeat voice. "We will get drinks and meat if you can make salad or something?" she asks and at this I nod my head as I look to my son who looks to me and he smiles brightly.
"Sure, let me call my wife and inform her. When would you guys be coming?" I ask as I reach for the glass of water on the table.
"How are we gonna drive?" I hear someone say and it's clear that they are not talking into the phone right now.
"I am not sure where he stays." That was Lucy.
"Okay what about you drive behind us till the station then you can go and drop of Cosmos' car and then we can meet at his place?" Laxus asks and there is some murmurs as I can't make out what is being said on the other side.
"Yeah I remember somewhat of where he stays. So that's the plan?" Zeref asks and I hear some more murmurs as I look around the house to make sure it looked okay.
"Okay we will be there in like 45 minutes." I hear Laxus say.
"Okay then." I say as I hear the click and the call ends and I look at Toby who smiles to me.
"Daddy is someone coming to visit?" my son asks to which I just smile and I nod my head.
"Yeah, some of daddies friend." His eyes lit up like the Fourth of July as he smiles to me. "Let's call mommy." I say as he makes his way towards me and then I rise to my feet and I pick him up into my arm as I start to walk towards the kitchen. I dial Lisanna with my other hand and soon place the phone on speaker phone as I place my son on the kitchen counter and I keep the phone between us.
"Hi love, how are you feeling, did you pick up Toby?" Lisanna asks as I turn to the fridge and open it.
"Hey, yeah I picked up Toby. Listen some work friends are coming over. Is that okay?" I ask and there is a pause on her side before she replies.
"Sure, who?" she asks.
"Well it's Laxus and Lucy and Zeref and his girlfriend." I say and I feel a bit uneasy to even say Lucy's name in front of my wife.
"Sure thing, we going to have a barbeque?" she asks and I look back to Toby then to the phone, she was reading me like a book.
"Yes mommy." Toby says and at this he smiles and I can think that she is smiling as well. "Daddy invited his fwends." He says and at this I just smile.
"Sure thing. Just make sure everything is in place and clean please love." She says and at this I nod my head knowing she is not able to see.
"Sure thing. See you in a bit." I say as I end the call and I start to pull out things from the fridge. I would make a salad and something to ensure that the drunk morons actually have food in their bodies. At this rate they have been drinking since this morning and sober wasn't even a word in their vocabulary. By the time I finished the salads, and got freshen up my phone started ringing and I can see Toby running towards me with it in his hand.
I reach for it and then look at the caller ID. Zeref… "Hey bud." I greet into the phone start to move to the front door, my son following me as I go.
"We are here." I hear Zeref say and then I nod my head.
"Okay let me send you the code to come in and then you turn to the right, you can park at any parking there." I reply into the phone, I hear a faint okay and I end the call. I instantly send both Zeref and Laxus the code to enter the security complex because I know they would follow suite. I open the door and I can hear a vehicle driving to our houses direction. Toby following me suite as he stands behind me. And soon I see Cosmos and Zeref's faces as they move to the gate smiling brightly. "Just open the gate and come in." I say as I watch the petite girl walk in to my yard, Zeref carrying a cooler box and a bag as they walk.
"I forgot how easy it is to find this place." Zeref says with a smile. I nod my head as I guide him towards the front door towards the open plan kitchen.
"You have a beautiful place!" Cosmos says as she looks around walking slowly. I watch my son out of the corner of my eye as he stands behind a chair looking at Cosmos, not too sure if he should greet or hide. I shake my head from side to side as Zeref places their stuff down and start packing their drinks into the fridge along with their drinks.
"Thank you." I say as I read for my son and he walks to me, I pick him up instantly as I walk to the other two people. "This is my son Toby and toby this is daddies friends, Uncle Zeref and Aunt Cormos." I say and he is so shy as he hides into me and at this Zeref extends his hand to him and he looks to it then shakes his head from side to side not wanting to do anything with the younger male. It was only a few moments later when my wife arrived and I introduced her to my friends. It seemed that Cosmos and Lisanna his it off well, the same with Zeref and Lisanna.
About an hour later Laxus' voice finally booms from the gate as he opens it and smiles waving to the four of us sitting on my porch, fire almost ready for the barbeque. "Hello, Hello lovely people." Laxus greets as he walks into my yard with ease, packets in his hands. Both myself and Zeref rise to our feet and move over to him to help him. And that's when I look up and Lucy slowly walks in, she seems really unsure as she smiles, clutching onto her purse.
"Finally!" Zeref says as he walks back out and he is followed by Laxus who is smiling from ear to ear.
"Where the hell did you two disappear to?" Cosmos says as she rises from her seat and she walks over to Lucy, hugging her.
"Hi," Was the first thing Lucy said as she looks to me and Lisanna and then to Toby who is clinging to my wife's calve. "Sorry we stopped at three difference place." Lucy says and I can see that red hue on her cheeks. She was actually being shy. Something I never saw.
"Lucy is undecided." Laxus says as he walks to the side and he grabs for two chairs as everyone seems to make themselves at home except Lucy who seems to be slightly uncomfortable. She turns slightly to the side and then she looks back to me and my wive and she take a slow step towards us stopping a few inches.
I furrow a brow and then watch as she extends her hand towards my wife. "Hi, I'm Lucy, you must be Lisanna… Natsu's wife?" She asks and the way she said it, it was so pure and innocent as she smiles towards me and my wife. I remain staring at her as I never really though something like this would happen, the girl I was lusting after meeting my wife and she knowingly knew it was my wife.
"Oh! Yeah these buffoons haven't introduced us." Lisanna says as she giggles and she extends her hand towards Lucy but instead of shaking her hand she pulls Lucy in for a hug. "I'm Lisanna Dragneel and this is our son Toby." Lisanna says as she pulls away and looks down.
Lucy continues to smile, and she isn't even faking it as she nods her head and when Lisanna lets her go she bends down to Toby's level and she smile to him extending her hand to him.
"Hi Toby, I'm Lucy, nice to meet you." She says in the sweetest way and I expect my son to do exactly what he did to Zeref and Cosmos but he smiles and he extends his hand to Lucy before he is in her arms. Hugging her tightly as she picks him up on her hip, and she giggles as she looks to him.
"Hi Lucy, can you be my friend?" my son asks and we all look to him and the blonde as she smiles and nods her head to him.
"Of course!" She exclaims as she looks to me and Lisanna a bit unsure if she is allowed to even pick him up. "If it's okay with your mom and dad?" she asks and at this Laxus walks to Lucy and hugs both her and Toby and for a moment they almost seem like a little family.
"Hey little man, don't go stealing my girlfriend." Laxus says and at this and I chuckle because he was being such a joke right now. But I couldn't help the pang of jealousy that spiked as I saw him with Lucy and Toby.
"Oh! So you're the girl that stole Laxus!" Lisanna asked with a giggle and at this he actually blushed and Lucy just smile. "Treat him well." Lisanna says with a smile as she wraps her arm around me and she hugs me, and for a moment I feel completely off.
Lucy makes eye contact with Lisanna and then with me and she gives this small apologetic smile. "Sure will. But right now I have a play date with this one." Lucy states with a smile before she turns to Toby and she asks him something. Lisanna smiles and then she even turns into me and she places a peck on my cheek. Laxus just laughs as he walks over to Zeref and Cosmos.
Most of the night was either Lucy playing with Toby and feeding him chocolates or Laxus trying to get Zeref and myself to drink more, and Cosmos would sit with Lisanna and just talk. Every now and then I would see Lucy smile towards me before she grabs up my son and throw him into the area again. I don't know who was going to be more tired. Lucy or Toby?
Just before we ate I watch as Lucy make her way into the house and she rummages in her purse pulling out her phone as she places it to her ear. I see Laxus looks up and shake his head. "Most likely Mavis asking Lucy something again." He says and at this I nod my head taking another sip of my beer. I continue to watch as I see her turn her back towards us and then I look back to Cosmos and Lisanna. A few moment later I see Laxus walk into the house and then Lucy tells him something and he frowns but he nods his head, Toby rushes over to Lucy and then she pulls him into her arms again as she turns to grab her purse.
Laxus is soon the one who walks out with a bag. "Sorry for this but it's time for us to get going." Laxus says with a nod of his head. I furrow my brows as Lucy follows behind still holding my son.
"Yeah it's late and we need to get home." She states but she doesn't make eye contact as she smiles to Toby and then tickles him. "I need to leave now." She says to the little boy in her arms.
"Daddy why can't Lucy be my mommy." At this Lucy goes completely quiet, Laxus smiles and I look to my son in complete shock but I would also have liked it if she was his mommy. I shake my head from side to side as I look to Lisanna who giggles at something Cosmos said, she clearly didn't hear what her son just said.
"We'll see you on Monday then." I say a bit uncomfortable as I move to Lucy and in the motion of taking my son I hug her, both herself and Laxus greets the remaining group and with that they are off. I look to Zeref and he smiles. "Those two…" I say under my breath.
"They make such a cute couple. How long have they been together?" Lisanna asks and at this I furrow my brow because I didn't know if it was official between the two of them and I did not want to speculate.
"Not sure, the relationship started recently." Cosmos says with a smile and Zeref furrows his brows as well.
"I didn't even know…" Zeref states and at this Lisanna frowns. "Before or after us?" Zeref asks.
"I have no idea. But they look good together." Cosmos says and at this I just shake my head from side to side.
"It's good to know everyone has a girl now." Lisanna says and at this I chuckle.
"Why?" I ask and Zeref looks to my wife.
"Well its always the single ones leading the others to do stuff they shouldn't." At this Cosmos burst out laughing and Zeref chuckles as well. I rub the back of my head. "I am aiming that statement to Grey and Jellal though…" At this I chuckle but shake my head. How true her words were she would never know.
