Abby's POV
It has been a day now since the ice cream shop exploded. Apparently Tony showed up at Peter's house after, but I didn't see him. I still haven't told anyone that they work for Ms. Witter.
I'm on my laptop trying to catch up on some school work and I think "Who would of thought missing one day before break would bring so much work?" After about 30 minutes of trying to figure out what the heck the atomic theory is I slam the laptop and give up. I groan.
"Hey, sweet pea, everything ok?" My mom says, peeking her head in my room.
"No," I mumble.
"You need to relax. How about you invite Daisy over for a girls night?" She says.
I fall on my bed. "She's in New York." I groan. "Long story." I quickly add.
"How about Ida and Delilah?" she suggests.
"Yeah, why not? It'll get my head off of everything that's going on." I say rolling over on my stomach to my phone.
"Great! I'll go order a pizza, oh, and say Rosy can come too." She says walking out the door.
I search the contacts, Delilah and Ida. I quickly send a text. "Hey wanna come over you can stay for the night? Rosy can come too."
I put the phone down and get back to my laptop. I type Charlotte Witter into the search engine. Nothing came up except the fact that she was arrested by Tony Stark. I then search men with weird circle, triangle tattoos. Of course, it is just a bunch of tattoo places, but I just keep scrolling down. Until I see a picture of one of the men who blew up the ice cream shop. I click on the link. His name is Bob Roberts. He has an extensive criminal record and works for an unknown person.
Mrs. Witter, I think to myself. I try to keep reading, but then I get scared half to death by my phone going off. I look at it. It is a text from Ida.
"Girl, let us in your house. I can't stand like this forever. Oh, and Tony's here." I shut my laptop, walk downstairs, let the girls and Tony in, and we go up to my room.
"Ok girls, oh, and Tony, don't freak out but remember how the ice cream shop exploded?" I say looking seriously at them.
"Yeah," Delilah responds kinda confused.
"Well, the person who did it works for Ms. Witter," I whisper yell.
The girls mouths' drop open in shock. And Tony stands up and walks out of the room to make a call.
The rest of the sleepover we did basic sleepover stuff like watch movies and stuff like that. Pretty basic but a lot of fun.
•the next day at the wheat fields.•
We are settling down about to watch the movie when the two men with the tattoos appear. But this time there's even more of them. They ask where Spider-Man is, and Peter stands up. Then they start attacking. Peter runs over somewhere and puts on his suit. I panic and find a big...no, large... no, humongous stick as my weapon. Then Peter comes back.
"Abby, you can't use a stick as a weapon," Peter says.
"Watch me." I slightly yell.
Then some of the men start to come towards us.
"Abby, just get behind me I can deal with this," Peter says slightly annoyed.
"I can take care of myself thank you very much," I say rolling my eyes.
"Abby, I just don't want anything bad to happen to you," Peter says with a slight concern in his voice.
"Well, I don't want anything bad to happen to you," I say.
"Ok, ok, but you still can't use a stick as a weapon." He says tilting his head.
Then I feel someone coming up behind me so I wack him with my stick, knocking him out.
"Never mind you got this." He says kinda intimidated.
I roll my eyes and laugh "I told you so."
Then another guy comes at me he looks a lot stronger than the first guy. I feel my eyes go wide I punch him with my stick, a little too hard because my stick breaks. So I do the only sensible thing to do I use the stick as nunchucks. Except that didn't really work. He grabs a hold of me, but I just kick him where the sun doesn't shine, and he lets me go.
Me and Peter work together to take on the rest of the men. Everything is actually going pretty well for us until one of the men gets a hold of Ida, but lucky for her Daisy shows up in a car and hits the guy.
"Are you guys having a movie night without me?" She says.
We all laugh and run back to my house and have a movie night and me and Peter share one or two kisses. Unfortunately, before we could kiss a third time Daisy moseys on in between us so she could tell us all about her trip to New York. We have a grand old time. Everyone leaves, and I go to the kitchen to get some water before bed when I see a mysterious person sitting at my kitchen table.
"Hello, Abby." It was Ms. Witter.
"What do you want?" I say.
"Well if you want to know, I'm here to bargain." She smirks.
"What do you want?" I say more firmly. I don't want the fact that tears were starting to form in my eyes to show.
"I have your sister, Willow, and I'd hate for anything bad to happen to her so I'll give you a choice: you bring me Peter, and I'll give you your sister or Peter stays safe, and I'll continue to torture your sister." She takes a sip from her wine glass.
I shake my head. I can't decide.
"I'll give you an hour." She stands up and walks towards me "I would hate for something to happen to either of them." She whispers in my ear.
She leaves, and I run upstairs and put a sweatshirt on and run towards the door.
"Abby, what is going on? I haven't seen Willow almost all night, and you're constantly leaving the house. What is going on?" My mom asks.
"Don't worry I'm gonna figure this all out," I yell running out the door to Peters house. I bang on the door and his Aunt answers.
"Abby? What are you doing here?" She asks
"Where's Peter?" I slightly yell.
"I'm right here. What's wrong?" Peter asks.
"Willow.. ..has her...trade." I frantically yell tears flowing down my eyes.
"Woah, Abby, slow down." He says putting his hand on my shoulder.
"Ms. Witter has Willow, and she says I have to choose you or her, and I don't know what to do." I fall into his chest and start to cry.
"It's ok we'll figure it out," Peter says brushing my hair with his hand.
I nod wiping away the tears.
"Call the others we'll need back up. Don't worry we'll get your sister back." He says then lays a kiss on my cheek and wipes a tear from my cheek.
"Ever so coincidently, I'm here," Daisy says walking up behind us. "Hi May! This must be very awkward for you because it sure as gorgles is for me."
