I don't own ATLA

Azula and Ty Lee were enjoying the morning sun when Katara walked up to them. Neither of them were expecting the Waterbender to make an appearance, so they were certainly shocked when she started talking to them.

"Just because you beat me in combat does not mean that I trust you," Katara stated arrogantly as she smirked at the Princess.

"Good morning to you as well," Azula replied as she glared at the girl.

"You know, I heard your little argument with Zuko, and I have to say that he's right."

Azula raised her eyebrow and turned to fully face the Waterbender. "Oh?" She crossed her arms across her chest. "And what do you mean by that?"

"Just that he's right," Katara chided to the girl.

"Let me guess; you didn't hear a single word he said, did you?"

"Of course I heard what he said to you."

"Okay," Azula said as she started tapping her foot on the ground. "What did he say?"

"Well," Katara said as she tried to come up with something to say, "he...he said-"

"Exactly - you have no clue what he said to me. You didn't hear anything. All you know is that we talked, and that's it," Azula stated which made Ty Lee glare at the girl.

"That's not true!"

"Alright!" Azula waved her hand in a shooing motion and started walking away. " I honestly could not care less about what you have to say."

"Why don't you just keep walking, fatass!" Katara shouted at the Princess.

Azula simply shook her head in return. "At least I have one," Azula said with a smirk as she turned her back to the Waterbender. Azula then smacked her ass just to make her point as she walked away.

"Fat bimbo," Katara muttered under her breath.

Ty Lee stood there and watched the exchange occur and smiled. She knew that there were many things that Azula had always wanted to say to Katara and she was glad that the Princess was keeping her temper in check. She wanted her new friends to be on their good sides and having Azula wanting to murder Katara was a bad way to make that happen.

After a few minutes of walking, Azula found herself looking at a cliff face. She sat down, let her feet dangle over the edge, and gazed out at the deep blue water.

"Oh Aang, I wish you were here," she whispered as she watched the waves flow in and out. She sighed as this reminded her of the time where she and Aang would talk about their lives on the boat during the weekends.

~~FLASHBACK~~

Azula was sleeping soundly in her bed when she awoke to the smell of bacon and eggs being fried in the kitchen. She groaned and sat up from bed. It was then when she noticed that her boyfriend was missing from bed.

"Aang?" she called out as she grabbed his orange cloak and put it on over the bra and short shorts she wore to bed. She looked at herself in the mirror and then walked out to the kitchen to see a shirtless Aang cooking.

"Good morning," Aang said as he turned around to see her. He smiled as he noticed her wearing his cloak.

"How are you this morning?" Azula asked as she walked over to the Avatar to give him a kiss on the cheek.

"I'm great - Kyoshi says hello, by the way," Aang replied as he flipped some of the bacon that was in the skillet.

"That's good! What did you guys talk about?" Azula asked as she walked over to the table.

"Oh, how many kids I was going to have, where I was gonna live, you know, stuff like that," Aang said quickly so that Azula wouldn't catch all of it.

"Aang," Azula said in a threatening tone. "What...did...they...say?"

"They basically asked me what I was going to do after I end this war," Aang explained as he placed Azula's loaded plate in front of her. "Would you like anything to drink?"

"Coffee, please," Azula requested as she dug into her food. "What did you say in response to their questions?"

"The truth," Aang replied as he put on a pot of coffee.

"Which is...?" Azula glanced up from her plate to meet Aang's eyes. Why is he being so defensive? she thought to herself as she took a small bite.

"Alright, you really want to know?" Aang asked as he placed the cup in front of Azula.

"Yes," she answered firmly as she took a sip.

"I said that I wanted to marry you, have 5-7 kids, and grow old with you wherever we decided to settle down," he said earnestly.

Azula practically spat out her coffee. "5-7 KIDS?!" she exclaimed, which made Aang laugh.

"Yeah, so we can have a good bunch of Air- and Firebenders," he explained as he bended up some of the dribbled coffee and launched it out the window.

"You want to have kids with me?" Azula quietly asked as she looked at her boyfriend, tears forming in her eyes.

Aang immediately went over to scoop her up and hugged her. "Of course I want to have kids with you! Why wouldn't I?"

"Aang," she whispered as she tried to compose herself.

"And don't you dare say it's because of all the stuff you've done to me or the stuff you've done in the past," remarked Aang sternly. He stared deep into her golden eyes. "You are my girlfriend. You are the greatest person I've ever met. You are smart, kind, funny, and caring, which are all of the qualities I would want with the mother of my children."

"Aang, I...I don't know what to say," Azula whispered as she wiped tears that were now falling from her face.

"You could say...well, I haven't asked you to marry me yet," Aang pondered as he stared into the distance.

Azula laughed. "I don't think I'm going to find anyone that is crazy enough to marry me, so I await the question. Just don't wait too long," Azula added, smirking as she hopped out of his arms and walked back to her seat to continue eating her breakfast. "But, still, that's a lot of kids," she pointed out as she looked at her boyfriend, who had the brightest smile on his face.

"Well, I never had parents, so I and the rest of the temple kids were kind of like a giant family. Then, when I became an Airbending Master, I had to start taking care of the kids," Aang reminisced as he, too, went back to his breakfast. "When that happened, I was tasked with the newborns, and, well...I kinda fell in love with them all. They were so cute and I just love babies."

Azula smiled warmly at this. "Well, if you are going to take care of them, then I can't not help you have a large family," Azula stated as she finished her food and took a long sip of her coffee.

"Really?!" Aang exclaimed with stars in his eyes, which made Azula's heart swoon.

"Of course! It'll be fun to have a family with you," she replied sweetly.

After some more light conversation, the couple made their way to the balcony. Both decided to sit down in the chairs and watch the water for a while.

"You know..." Aang began as he gazed at the horizon.

"What's up?" Azula asked as she took his hand.

Aang turned and looked into Azula's eyes. "I want to thank you for capturing me," he said to her as she looked back at him with wide eyes. "I think that you capturing me was the best thing that has ever happened to me. For that, I must thank you."

Azula sat there staring at Aang with bewilderment written all over her face. She always thought that he still held animosity because of the things that she did to him when she had him imprisoned.

"Aang," she said in a whisper. She looked at him and didn't even try to hide the tears that were now falling from her cheeks. She took his hand in hers and gazed into those grey eyes. They locked eyes for what felt like eternity. It was as if their souls were having the most intense conversation. Nothing else in the world mattered. The War didn't matter. All that mattered in that moment in time was them.

"I love you," Aang whispered to her as he leaned in to kiss her.

"I know," Azula replied as they closed the gap between them to lock lips.

~~FLASHBACK END~~

"I should have said it back," Azula remorsed as she sobbed into her hands. "Oh, Agni, I should have said it back! Aang, I love you! I love you so fucking much!" she yelled into the vast expanse of space.

"What are you talking about?"

Azula turned around and saw Toph standing a few feet behind her with her arms crossed. The Earthbender walked over to the currently sobbing Princess and sat down next to her.

"What were you talking about?" Toph asked again as she spread her legs into the soft grass and dangled them off the cliff.

"I was just thinking about stuff," Azula replied as she attempted to wipe her eyes.

"Bullshit."

"Excuse me?"

Azula turned to face Toph, who was still gazing towards the ocean. She had a calm expression on her face, yet underneath she was boiling in rage. "What do you mean bullshit?!" Azula shouted at the girl.

"You were thinking about Aang, weren't you?" Toph stated.

Azula winced at the mention of his name. "How did you-"

"I can feel stuff," Toph calmly replied. "I know when you are sad, angry, or crying. I can feel the tears hitting the ground and I can hear you screaming."

Azula stopped moving for a second to take in what the girl had said. She had been crying and screaming and didn't even realize.

"Okay."

"Okay?"

"Okay! Fine, I was crying and screaming! I miss him! I miss him so fucking much!" Azula screamed as she began to choke up again. This time, Toph wrapped her in a hug. She melted into the Earthbender's embrace.

"I know," Toph whispered to the sobbing girl on her chest. "I miss him, too. We were great friends before he left."

Azula continued to sob on Toph for another few minutes until she was able to regain control. Once she was able to calm down, she hugged Toph back.

"Thank you," Azula whispered to the girl, who smiled at her.

"Don't worry about it! Aang was my best friend. I was very sad and disappointed when we decided not to try to find him," Toph explained, which Azula nodded her head to. "If I may...what were you thinking about? I know that it was about Aang, but...what specifically? Who knows - maybe if you talk about it, it'll help."

"I..." Azula trailed off into space. After what felt like hours, she finally started talking. "He told me how he wanted to have kids with me."

"Aang? I didn't know he knew what sex was!" Toph laughed as she fell back, holding her sides. Azula also laughed and wiped a tear from her eye.

"Yeah...we had to explain to him where babies come from!" Azula then went on to explain the whole story to Toph, who started laughing even harder at the poor Avatar's expense.

"So, how many kids did he say, like, two or three?" Toph asked the Princess, who was still attempting to regain control of herself about everything beforehand.

"5 to 7, I think," Azula recalled as she idly rubbed her stomach.

"5 to 7?!" Toph yelled as she sat up and faced Azula, who was now laughing her ass off again.

"You know, that's the same thing that I said," Azula mentioned as she laughed, remembering the fond memory.

"Wow - that's a lot of babies. You sure you're up for that?" Toph asked her companion, who smirked back at her.

"I'm a candidate for Fire Lord. I think I can handle some babies," Azula said with confidence. "I mean, they're a bunch of babies. What's the worst thing that could possibly happen?"

"Do you not remember what happened to Suki this morning?" Toph asked the Princess, who's eyes immediately widened as she remembered what happened to the Kyoshi Warrior.

"Well...hopefully, that won't happen to me when it's my turn," Azula optimized as she puffed up her chest.

"Sure, okay," Toph said with an unconvinced eye roll.

The two sat in silence for a while as they enjoyed the other's company. They continued to watch the waves go in and out until Azula remembered something. "You know, Toph…"

"Hm?"

"Aang loved you like a sister."

Toph turned her head so fast that she heard the joints in her neck crack. "WHAT?!"

"Yeah - he loved you like a sister. He told me numerous times when I would ask about the relationships he had with you guys," Azula explained to the Earthbender.

Toph's intrigue grew. "What did he say about me?" she pried.

"Well, he said that you were a great person, as well as funny, kind, brash, but also soft and caring. He said that you wouldn't show it, but you cared about him and the rest of the crew, as he called it," Azula explained.

Toph blushed lightly. "Wow. I didn't think he cared that much," she said as she looked at the ground.

"Of course he cared! This is Aang we're talking about! He cares about everyone," Azula said with a large smile on her face.

"Yeah. Though, I do have some questions for you," Toph mentioned, which made Azula perk up slightly.

"Sure, what's up?" Azula asked, now very interested in what the Earthbender had to ask.

"Well...how far have you and Aang gone in your relationship?" Toph asked with a slight smirk on her face.

Azula immediately blushed at the memories of all the times she had woken up with Aang's morning wood poking her in the side, or all the times where she would rub his sculpted chest or feel his hands on her now safe send hips. "Well...I've given him head, but he hasn't done anything to me if that's what you're asking," she replied to the girl.

Toph grinned. "So you both haven't had sex yet?" she clarified.

"No - we are waiting. Well, I'm waiting. I still don't think he comprehends what sex REALLY is. Usually, it's me who initiates the more intimate stuff. Although, I did give him head when I woke up from a nightmare," she explained, which made Toph nod her head in understanding.

"Alright...my second question is, do you want to marry him?"

"Of course!" Azula exclaimed as if it were the most obvious answer in the universe. "Why the fuck wouldn't I want to marry him?!"

"I don't know, I just want to make sure!" Toph said as she waved her arms defensively.

"Yeah, well, I will marry him because I will find him. I know he's not dead. I just know it!" Azula said with determination as she gazed off into the distance.

"Will I be at the wedding?" Toph asked.

Azula noticed a small trace of hope in her voice. "Of course! Why wouldn't you be at the wedding?" Azula replied with concern laced in her voice.

"Well, I don't know. Our group is kinda weird. With Katara and Zuko hating you, I don't know if Suki, Ty Lee, and Mai are cool with it and Sokka seems to be fine with you. I think we would need Aang here to really figure it out," Toph concluded, which made Azula nod her head.

"Yeah, I understand that. But you are definitely coming to the wedding when Aang decides to propose to me."

"Do you think he even knows how to do that? Or that he even HAS to do that?" Toph asked with a smirk on her face.

"Yes, he definitely knows that he has to propose to me. I explained to him how a wedding works and how to plan one," Azula clarified as she looked out into the sea.

"Ah, okay."

The duo once again fell into silence for a while. Suddenly, something caught Azula's eye as she watched the waves ebb and flow. She spotted a bird flying out from under them. This made her confused as she thought this was a solid cliff.

"Hey, Toph," she said to the Earthbender next to her.

"Yeah, what's up?" Toph responded as she sat up.

"What's under us?" Azula carefully asked the girl.

Toph raised an eyebrow at her. "What do you mean what's under us?" she wondered as she now fully sat up and looked at Azula.

"I just saw a bird fly from under this cliff. If this was an actual cliff, then that means it's solid rock."

Toph's eyes widened when she realized what Azula was talking about. She quickly got to her feet and stomped on the ground.

"HOLY SHIT!" she screamed as she started walking about the top of the cliff.

"What?!" Azula yelled as she, too, stood up hurriedly.

"There's, like, an underground city below us!" the earthbender noted as she tried to map it all out in her head.

"What do you mean an 'underground city'?" Azula asked as she was now trying to rack her brain for any kind of knowledge of an underground city. Then, it all clicked. "Wait! I remember! This is the Western Air Temple! Aang said that it was an underground city and that everything was upside down! We found it!"

"Azula, what the fuck are you talking about?" Toph asked as she tried to understand everything below her.

"When we were on Boiling Rock," Azula explained carefully, "Aang made a plan. We were going to go to the Western Air Temple so that we could make our next move. That's what was on that metal sheet: the plan and all the information that we had along with how to get here. We are currently above the temple. We have a place to sleep!" She immediately grabbed the girl's arm and sprinted back.

"Where are you taking me?!" Toph yelled as she tried to keep up with Azula.

"We need to tell the others! We need to get moving before we are found!" said Azula as they ran back towards the campsite with the good news.
