And I give you the longest chapter I have ever worked on! I wrote, rewrote and trashed and started over this chapter several times. I just wasn't comfortable with how the characters are feeling in the first few versions and other times I feel like they were nowhere to be seen. I hope you accept this chapter as a token of my apology.
Also remember that this is fan fiction hopefully giving justice to the characters from the Naruto series, which is given to us by the masterful Masashi Kishimoto-sensei. Everything aside from the original characters are created from the wonderful mind of Kishimoto-sensei.

Chapter 38 :
Orochimaru led them through the streets of Konoha, Sasuke had insisted he wanted his answers, and this was the only place he could get them. Separating from the group, he jumped up the rooftops and despite the changes, the village still felt nostalgic.
Being inside the village brought him back so many memories, both good and bad, and everything in between.
Even the night he officially turned his back to everyone…
" ...Goodbye Sasuke"
Misaki, even when he himself thought the worst of his brother, it was Misaki who saved him, all these years Itachi had been called a murderer of his own kin and rogue, she chose to believe in Itachi himself, how can he get past that?
That's why he came here, not to relive old memories, but to reaffirm his resolve, if he was going to destroy Konoha.
Later as they went deeper into the night, they finally arrive at the Uchiha shrine, a place where Orochimaru called the place where secrets sleep, the resting place of the 'All knowing'
Orochimaru had released the hokages from the shinigami and awakened them.

Despite the circumstances of the war, Senju Hashirama chose to answer all of Sasuke's queries, giving a chance for generations of hokages to cite their misgivings.
"So, then Sasuke, what will it be?" Orochimaru asked, Sasuke closed his eyes to focus his mind, moments with Itachi and with Misaki overruled his thoughts, thoughts he had let even the thoughts he buried for so long to surface as he made he crossed the bridge of destruction or salvation.
" ...I will love you, always"
Similar words born from both Itachi and Misaki echoed within his mind.
"I will go to the battlefield! I won't let the village and Itachi's efforts become nothing!"
"It's decided then!" Hashirama finally stood.

"Naruto, you concentrate on keeping everybody safe with the cloak" Misaki told. It doesn't mean that they are standing on equal ground literally. Naruto may have successfully provided for everyone, but it took a toll on his body, even Misaki could tell he won't be able to keep it up for very long.
Misaki gripped her sword tighter and sprinted towards Madara, someone needed to seal that dead guy and quick. Misaki's pace remained even as flames torched her surroundings, she released her chains and deflected the giant kunai and the susanoo shuriken with her adamantine chakra.
However midway, they were reminded to not yet take the juubi out of the equation as it screeched and began an attack only the juubi can. It began to release an enormous amount of chakra and began a very well coordinated collection of natural disasters.
"Shit" Misaki stabbed the ground in order to hold herself still as the earthquake, lightning storm, flood and tornado occurred all at once.
"Is that all you've got?!" Naruto emerged injured and bleeding, as the cloak began to decrease.
"Nice try pretending you're tough, but it seems you've reached your limit. You've given me something to look forward to, but I think it's time you made your exit" Madara looked down on them, but as he continued a flash of lightning came out of nowhere directed at him.
"Who said you could look down on us you corpse" Misaki shattered his susanoo all at once and kicked him back landing him on a boulder. Misaki was about to continue attacking Madara when Shikamaru called out to him via Ino.
"Misaki the juubi, is about to unleash a bomb on us can you stop it?"
"Alone?" Misaki vocalized her doubts, as she appeared next to Shikamaru sheathing her katana.
"If the enemy has quality, we've got quantity but these walls will be blown away quickly, we're going to slow that thing's momentum with many weak walls rather than try to stop it with one powerful one, Of course I intend to have all of you from Iwa to build me a super wall as well, Bee-sama, while everyone is building barriers, I want you to bombard the thing with bijuu bombs to shift the trajectory upwards, Misaki can you'll be the last line of defense"
"Alright" Misaki knelt to the ground, preparing for the attack.
"Ino think you can link me to everyone?"
It was a sight to be seen, in the eerie silence of waiting for the attack, nothing can be heard but the unison hand signs of thousands of shinobi moving in sync.
'Ino and Shikamaru are amazing, I bet their dads must be rooting for them right now' Misaki smiled to herself.
The Bijuu bomb released upon them crashing through the thousands of walls as if they weren't even there in the first place, and as it broke through the last wall everyone was too shocked to even remember to continue creating walls because of just how was breaking through the first set of walls, but it stopped midair, and in the midst of smoke and stone, golden pillars shined through, keeping the the bijuu bomb back in a display of gigantic grappling sport.
"Misaki?!" Kaede called out to the younger redhead. Her eyes were back to normal, she had just used up her second reserve. Veins popping, her fingers about to dig into the ground with the force she's holding on to keep herself upright, but Kaede was shocked when Misaki still managed to smile.
"Just a little more" Misaki mustered the words with great difficulty.
Until the bomb was just...gone.
A kunai landed next to her, and in a second, the blond white cloaked figure appeared.
"Am I late?" Minato landed on one knee.
"Nope, just in time pops" Naruto gave him a thumbs up.
"I'm sorry it might have been hard on you?" Minato wiped the sweat off of Misaki's forehead.
"Not at all, we kinda knew you'd get here sooner or later" Misaki smiled.
"The fourth hokage" some read out loud, but the first to recognize him was the blonde standing next to Misaki.
"Nii-san?!" Kaede exclaimed
"My name is Namikaze Minato, brace for impending explosion" and just as he uttered these words, the explosion occurred, only this time it was in a far distance, yet they can still feel the impact from where they are.
"What was that?" Sakura never once stopped to heal Naruto.
"I sent the juubi's attack back towards the sea" Minato explained, even more aftermath blew towards them, as he did, Kaede took this time to inspect every inch of his reincarnated body.
"Who are you?" Sakura was wary, they had gone through enough edo tensei to last a lifetime.
"Don't worry, I'm an ally, I am Misaki and Naruto's father? Thank you for healing Naruto, are you perhaps his girlfriend?" Minato asked.
"Huh, I suppose you can say that, yes" Naruto answered thoughtfully, which was his mistake.
"Naruto has a crush on her dad," Misaki explained as Sakura scolded Naruto.
"She kinda reminds me of Kushina" Minato sweat dropped.
"Kaede-ka-chan is the same," Misaki laughed.
"I am not" Kaede, who initially seemed too busy inspecting Minato, exclaimed, her grip on Minato's arm tightening, causing it to break and reanimate.
"Don't worry Kaede-ba-chan, I'm sure Kakashi-sense still loves you" Naruto teased.
"Wait what?" this time it was Minato's turn to exclaim at his little sister, Kaede, blushing and fake coughing, simultaneously avoiding eye contact.
"Yeah, I think you should know, your student married your sister," Misaki informed.
"Hatake Kakashi?!"
"Yes dad, your student that looks way older than you by now actually" Misaki repeated.
"That is so-" Before Minato can drift further into his thoughts, Kaede deflected
"This is so not the time for this!" A breath of relief could have been heard from the others when Sakura finally addressed the elephant in the room.
"How did this happen anyway and how did you guys find out?" Sakura asked in a more serious tone, it irked her how their family was having a casual catching up conversation, in the middle of war, with circumstances far too complicated to even describe.
"I sensed his chakra when I was in the kyuubi mode" Naruto explained, then Naruto looked to Misaki waiting for her answer.
"I felt the seal of the shinigami come undone," Misaki answered, flashing Sakura the key of the seal that claimed both Kurama and her father's life.
"Others will be arriving soon," Naruto told Sakura in a smile.
And when they did, the battlefield's morale greatly improved, finally they have revered legends who don't die and have unlimited stamina fighting on their side, even Madara got excited at the arrival of Hashirama at the battlefield.
"I'll deal with you later" Hashirama blatantly rebuffed Madara, and focused on helping the alliance deal with the juubi.
"Naruto, Misaki you guys did a great job, take some rest and recuperate for a while" Minato smiled at his children, feeling incredibly thankful at seeing his children, albeit it was for less than desirable circumstances.
"Don't worry your friend will be arriving soon, he's our ally too" Minato told them, a fact the twins didn't know how to react too. However that was put at the back of their minds as they stared at their father's kyuubi mode like a child looks at a magician.
"Awesome" they muttered in unison, making others look at them, and for those who have yet to understand that the two were actually siblings are beginning to see the similarities.
"Four Crimson Ray Formation" sealed the juubi within a kage level formation that was off the charts, disabling the juubi from moving around.
And just as everything is short lived in this war, so was their awe when it died down, replaced by the arrival of someone they never expected to show himself.
"Where's Itachi?" Sasuke asked Yoko.
"Not here, they were sent to check on the kages where Madara left them" Yoko answered apprehensively, but remained civilized in light of their current predicament.
"SASUKE" everyone who knew him approached him, some with this belief, some with speechlessness, some with anger, and apprehension, but it was Misaki who chose to look the other way as he continuously rained down on him, even Kazuhiko and Akihiko joined in the interrogation. In all their noise, Sasuke never once looked at them as he acknowledged their approach, his eyes only looked to the eyes that weren't looking at him.
"A lot of things happened, I've decided to protect Konoha, and then I'll...become the hokage"
OoO…..O-O…..O_O….OoO….O-O…..O_O….OoO…..O-O…..O_O….OoO….O-O…..O_O
These simply earned him even more criticism than his arrival, frankly even Misaki could have sworn she saw a bird quack by.
"Do you think we can just forget everything you've done?" Shino inserted.
"Yeah, I realize you probably can't, but it doesn't matter what you guys think of me, all the previous kage created these circumstances, so I will become the hokage and change the village." Sasuke incited.
"Disregarding the people you'll lead, that's a great way to start your supposed reign, I wonder how do you set yourself apart from your them" Misaki pointed out, stopping before him to get a good look at his eyes, his goal and his target might have changed but his eyes remained the same.
Sasuke didn't answer as he stared back at Misaki, how can he make her see his way, for her to look at him the same way she looked at Itachi, the same way she believed in Itachi, the way she understood Itachi.
"I'M going to be the hokage" Naruto stood next to Sasuke, acknowledging the rivalry for the position.
"I'm glad there's so much interest in becoming the hokage, but you guys are taking too much time, start infusing your chakra now! We'll take down the juubi in an all-out attack!" Hashirama announced.
"Hey, mom is it just me or does he sound a lot like Jiraiya-sensei?" Misaki whispered to Kaede.
"Thanks for healing me Sakura-chan, now it's your turn to get some rest, let's go Sasuke" the two left for the front lines.
"We both know you're not sideline material, now go" Kaede bumped her hips to Sakura, who smiled, following her team seven teammates.
"Finally Team 7 is back!" Naruto announced, this boosting the whole class.
"Hey, shouldn't we be showing our lower classmen how it's done team Hayate?" Kazuhiko urged Misaki and Akihiko.
"Eh, Kazu when did you get here?" Akiko teased.
"I was with you the entire time!" Kazuhiko yelled defensively.
"It's been a while, we should do Hayate-sensei proud" Misaki smiled being with them brought her spirits up, and Naruto sure looks happy, and that in itself made her happy.
The juubi grew angsty with its confinement and released a bijuu bomb, but the barrier held up, and thus it only ended up hurting itself.
Hashirama opened the gates and they all charged towards the juubi, met with fission beings the spored in order to protect the main body,
"Don't waver!" Naruto yelled as they collided with the fission beings, this time, it was Sakura who took the spotlight as she unleashed the strength of a hundred seal technique in the midst of the battle, sending the towering fission being few paces back.
"You just fell in love a little more didn't you?" Misaki smirked to Akihiko who sighed like a love sick puppy at the showcase of brute strength.
"Never took him for the masochist type" Kazuhiko wondered.
"What are you talking about, you blush every time TenTen scolds at you with her nunchucks" Misaki teased, jumping out of the way of Kazuhiko's flaming fury.
"You do know you're the worst masochist amongst us right?" Kazuhiko rolled his eyes, but there was no way in hell he was going to say that out loud.
Soon even team Kurenai, team Asuma and Team Guy were showing off.
"Whoa so cool!" Misaki paused in the middle of her battle to clap, giving her a view of Sai who bypassed the fissures to head to the main body via his special technique, but he was bombarded by spears, and was unable to dodge midair.
"SAI!" Naruto called out, but he disappeared midair.
"Clone?" Sakura muttered, but then he appeared next to her, assisted by Misaki.
"What the hell were you thinking?" Misaki scolded him, looking around as things were beginning to get tighter as the fissure began getting bigger and stronger.
'It's this guy again' Sasuke thought as he glared at Sai who was his wannabe, probably in more ways than one.
"Naruto can you share your chakra with everyone again?" Sai asked.
"Kurama hasn't finished amassing chakra yet!"
"In order to get to the main body, we need to mow down the big ones and slip past them, the distance is too great to make a single leap for it, we also need time to weave signs and repel the enemy's attacks, without your chakra Naruto it's very likely that we'll suffer heavy casualties, and the medical corps can't come up to the front," Sai's words ignited something within team Kakashi, and the new generation of the three way deadlock was formed.
"You know Sai, have I ever told you that sometimes you know exactly just what to say?" Misaki winked and stood up. Watching as Naruto and Sasuke were able to get close and attack the Juubi successfully, doing a combination of powerful wind and fire techniques.

Orochimaru, Suigetsu and Karin arrive at the kage's battlefield, a lone figure standing before them.
"Itachi, you seem to be doing much better, considering you were supposed to be dead" Orochimaru stopped in his tracks, Itachi's sharingan was activated, and he guessed the other eye was from Suigetsu.
"Likewise" Itachi responded, unwavering.
"We're your allies, believe it or not" Orochimaru answered, sensing no lies in his words, Itachi led them to where Tsunade, Lady Katsuyu and the other kages were at.
"Orochimaru" Kazumi was quick to draw her kunai in defense of the resting kages, but Itachi stopped her.
"It's alright, he's here to assist the kages," Itachi explained.
"Fine, I respect your advancement in medicine just as much as I respect Tsunade-sama, but I should let you know I'm not going to let you even try anything funny" Kazumi pocketed her kunai and continued to look after the other kages.
"How are they doing?" Orochimaru asked.
"The other kages are now recovering quite well, I've placed them under induced sleep inside Katsuyu-sama so they can recover their chakra. However, Tsunade-sama is a little more...extreme" Kazumi looked down trodden, she didn't know how she was still alive in her condition, much less how exactly to help her.
Thankfully though Orochimaru understood Tsunade's healing capabilities, and instructed her to attach Tsunade's torso.
"What's next? If only we had Kaede-sama's stitches, this would be solved in an instant" Kaede asked the veteran.
"Don't worry, Tsunade will be able to heal herself, she just needs chakra" Orochimaru then instructed Karin to give Tsunade hers.
When Tsunade had regained her strength, Kazumi checked on Itachi, who was doing better than he had been for years.
"I'm alright," Itachi comforted, smiling, after their small talk, when Orochimaru was sure that Tsunade had recovered enough, they left to go back to who knows where. Kazumi then began to wake the other kages so they could get briefed on the current status of the front lines, thanks to Katsuyu and Sakura who was able to awaken the strength of a hundred seals and summon Katsuyu.
"Everybody get on my sand, I will take us there, everyone please reserve your chakra" Gaara told them and the briefing continued on their way to the battlefield. Kazumi looked to Gaara who looked like he wanted to ask something but couldn't bring himself to voice it out, and Kazumi understood, he was a kage at war, he had to put the needs of his people first before his personal one, it must have killed him to find out that the Madara who bought them down is fighting with Juubi and Obito at the front lines where Ayako is.

Misaki brought Sai back to get him healed along with the others with Katsuyu.
"Misaki-" Before Sai could continue his question, Misaki had ruffled his hair.
"You think too much Sai" she smiled and returned to holding back the fissions.
"Kaede-san, it's Tsunade-sama and the other kages, they are on their way here" Katsuyu informed the blonde.
"Thank goodness they made it in time" Yoko sighed, and the relief on Ayako's face was incomparable, as she whispered a silent prayer of thanks.
"What the hell is going on there?" Natsume asked Neji who was standing against her back.
"They did it, their attack connected," Neji answered, focusing on the battle ahead rather than the battle in front of him.
"That would give us a perfect clearance to get the other bijuu out" Yoko told Misaki who nodded and flashed towards Naruto.
"What are you thinking Yoko-nee?" Ayako asked the older woman.
"I'm probably just being a little paranoid," Yoko answered, thinking back to Misaki's reaction at Sasuke's arrival and the exchange between them.
"Naruto!" Misaki appeared next to Naruto on top of Gamakichi's head.
"We can get them out" Misaki told Naruto as they watched the burning, Misaki can almost feel the hope inside Naruto, this meant so much to him to save them out of this mess. So at once, Misaki began concentrating to open her third reserve.
"Sasuke! The other bijuu are inside that big thing, once it's weak, stop the flames so we can pull them out" Naruto coordinated.
"No, they all burn," Sasuke answered, beginning a rant from Naruto, but Sasuke wasn't listening, like he didn't listen to them with all his previous goals.
But none of it matters because the juubi simply discarded the parts of his body that were burning, putting them in the bind as more and more of the gigantic fissions closed in on them. As Misaki opened her third reserve, she felt Obito's presence back outside the real world, and he was dying.
Obito was laying on his dying breath when Madara began controlling him, forcing his body to perform the Rinne Rebirth on Madara so he could finally become the jinchuriki for the juubi. Metal rods protruded out of his body, forcing him to let out a pain filled screech that dominated the battlefield.
"Lads you're much closer there, stop the technique of the one on top of the Juubi right now!" Hashirama commanded. Sasuke was first to react charging with Aoda, whilst Naruto and Misaki on Gamakichi followed in suit.
"Misaki?" Naruto turned to his twin, her eyes were now back in sage mode, she had successfully opened her third reserve.
"I got it" Misaki flashed off of Gamakichi.
Aoda was compromised and thus was ordered to leave whilst Sasuke continued on foot his attacks hindered by the rods that were shooting out of Obito. A flash of red appeared before Obito and in a second he was down flat on his chest, blood pooling around him.
"How long have you known?" Minato flashed before Misaki, the blood of his student still fresh on her sword.
"I'm sorry I didn't want you to find out this way" Misaki whispered, looking down, he might be the enemy and she might have been furious at him, but Obito was still Minato's student, someone very dear to him.
Minato pulled Misaki to him, lamenting his fallen student, one he had hoped to replace him as the hokage. All the things he'd done to the village, to everyone present, and to their family.
Misaki knelt down next to Obito, preparing to seal him to pay her respect to her father. Sasuke had finally arrived halfway through the process, noting the closeness between the dead hokage and Misaki.
"That's disappointing, all that's left to do is to seal the un-reborn Madara, and the war will be over, as well as this giant thing," Sasuke said as he walked closer.
"What makes you think the war is over, my fellow traitor" Obito mustered and once again the juubi began acting abnormally. Obito was sucked within it's flesh and almost took Misaki with him if Minato hadn't grabbed her to him, but as they jumped away they were sucked in by the force that absorbed juubi into some sort of singularity, thankfully Naruto and Gamakichi was able to grab them.
"Pops, Sasuke, Misaki?!" Naruto grabbed them out of the air and they perched on Gamakichi as they watched the transformation happen before them.
"Are you okay Misaki" Minato checked on his daughter who nodded, standing up on her own the moment she regained her footing.
"I was just surprised, I'm fine dad" Misaki answered.
Dad...Pops… they were the children yondaime hokage was talking about.
Sasuke took a good long moment to look from Naruto to Minato to Misaki, finding fault in his eyes for not seeing just how identical their eyes were.
"What's going on now? Another transformation?" Sasuke asked, distracting himself from his inner turmoil.
"No that's not what happened, he was weaving the signs to do this from the beginning, and that's the juubi's jinchuuriki!" Naruto explained.
"So you didn't stop him because you thought he was going to resurrect Madara, how did you guys know he wasn't being controlled?" Minato asked.
"We saw Nagato perform the Rinne rebirth, and those weren't the hand signs" Misaki answered.
"So that's the juubi's jinchuriki" Sasuke acknowledged.
"He looks even weirder"
"Obito"
Hashirama's deity gates crashed down on him, bringing him down to the ground.
"Amazing" Naruto gasped.
But only for a moment.
"No," Minato said as Obito destroyed the gates all at once then grabbed away the four crimson ray like it was an infant's blanket.
"It's not just about power anymore," Misaki watched as Obito emerged from the smoke and stood before them. Minato stood protectively in front of his children, talking some sense into Obito, yet it seems that even Obito doesn't recognize himself.
Hashirama, Tobirama and Hiruzen got there and ordered Minato to take the children away as they take care of Obito by themselves, it was no use putting the children at risk.
The hokage engaged and miserably battled Obito in jinchuriki form, dying countless deaths one after the other, something that did not bode well for Naruto. Even Hashirama was held back by Madara who clearly had enough of waiting for Hashirama.
The three of them watched the one sided fight, when all of a sudden.
"Gamakichi below us" and just as Naruto had said, the upper half of Obito attacked them, throwing Gamakichi back. Obito didn't waste any breath and immediately extended his black matter to spear a free falling Naruto.
That would have surely skewered him if it wasn't for Sasuke's susanoo, but that wasn't enough to stop Obito who covered their faces with his hands so his black matter can stab through their heads.
But by the time it went through they just weren't there anymore.
"That was so close, I thought we were done for thank you Misaki" Naruto panted, Sasuke looked around and found they were far back with Gamakichi, golden chains wrapped around their body, as it turns out Misaki had released her chains to latch on them as soon as she was thrown back.
Obito's body began combusting when he freed himself from the ground, inflating in several areas.
"What the hell is that?" Naruto asked.
"Exactly what happens to every jinchurki at the very beginning, they can't control the bijuu, just like Kurama used to threaten to escape your body, only this time, it's much more potent" Misaki explained.
"We need to take him down while he's still unable to use his body well" Minato prepared to attack, but Obito pointed his engorged arm at them, and as they waited for impact, he suddenly changed the course of his attack, throwing the explosion paces away from them.
"Was he aiming for your clone pops?" Naruto asked.
"He hit himself with his own attack," Sasuke cited.
"Seems Obito's consciousness is merely clinging on the juubi's great power, it seems he has no control over it" Minato said.
"I'm glad he missed us, because if it hit us, we'd be dead, we can't approach him carelessly" Gamakichi groaned.
"This time, I'll get the rasen-flash super-circle dance howl stage three in for sure!" Minato announced.
"I'm not entirely sure how you say that with a straight face, but I'll assist" Misaki volunteered.
"No, you stay here and prepare a strong combo and hit him hard, I'll create an opening" Minato ordered. He had no doubt it was Misaki's speed, but he was an edo tensei and she was not, he'll never be able to face his wife if he let any of his children die there.
Minato advanced on Obito as his body was progressively overtaken by the juubi.
"Pops!" Naruto called out, heavily warned by Sasuke.
"He got me, but I'm fine, I used flying raijin to escape" Minato flashed to them.
"Dad, your arm!" Misaki stood next to the black orb, wrapping it around her chakra to contain the blast, meanwhile Sasuke activated his susanoo and surrounded them.
"It's no use, I have to teleport it back with me" Minato stopped Misaki, who wouldn't have let up if Sasuke hadn't pulled her back.
The black orb illuminated into a blinding blue light until it's just gone.
"Don't worry, I only teleported a clone, I marked him that last time we were in contact." Tobirama flashed to them.
"Amazing! You can copy my old man's move! That's pretty impressive, nidaime stone face-guy" Naruto exclaimed.
"Yondaime was using my move! Besides that, call me Nidaime-sama" Tobirama scolded Naruto.
"Don't look so surprised, he got his naming technique from you" Misaki smiled, she shouldn't be feeling this happy in the middle of war, but could the world blame them when the father they never met was right there with them.

At the sidelines where everybody rested, the gigantic display of power was overwhelming, each exchange shaking their nerves, their morale. This wasn't lost on Yoko who was keeping an eye more so on their comrades than the battle.
"This isn't good, people are beginning to look hopeless as the stronger ones take on the enemy by themselves. Everyone should be focusing on recovering their strength as much as possible " Yoko began next to Shikamaru who nodded, he was thinking just about the same thing, so with Ino's help he patched through everyone's minds.
"Even small power can be helpful, we may not be of help now, but there might come a time when we'll be needed, so don't take your eyes off the battlefield. For if such time arrives, our power could change the course of this world! We can't afford to relax and let our guard down, even for a one second!" Shikamaru reminded them.

As Obito reappeared before them unscathed, they prepared for another attack, but this time, Naruto and Sasuke were pretty impatient as they attacked heedlessly despite the fact that the plan was for the kages to make openings.
"Idiots" Misaki grumbled ready to grab them back out, but Minato and Tobirama decided to make use of the situation. However their efforts did not bear any fruits once again.
"No effect at all," Tobirama observed.
"We can't touch those black transforming spheres, our attacks have no effect on him, he's quick on both offense and defense." Minato added.
"What a pain" Sasuke complained.
"He's even more perfect than how I imagined myself in my dreams" Naruto grumbled.
"It's like he's truly obtained a dreamlike power," Minato agreed.
"That's odd, your arm was ripped off, there should be dust swirling around to restore it by now," Tobirama indicated.
The conversations ran on, but Misaki was deep in thought, and I jumped up to whisper to the giant toad.
"Gamakichi-san can you do me a favor, before you disappear in a puff of smoke can you use any of your techniques as a farewell attack?" Misaki whispered and jumped back down.
"Syrup Gun" Gamakichi spit toward Obito.
"A toad from Mt. Myoukoubu" Tobirama turned, as if he was only noticing the giant toad right now.
"Gamakichi if you're going to make a move, do something diversionary or a combo" Naruto scolded.
"My bad, I told him to do that," Misaki defended with a smile, standing next to Naruto.
"I just wanted to repay him with a parting shot!" Gamakichi explained.
"Thanks for the effort, go get some rest!" when Naruto turned back to Obito and finally noticed what Misaki wanted to confirm. He turned to the red head and they nodded in unison. Using Minato's heart to heart as a diversion, the twins amassed their sage chakra into a ball, making their signature blue and gold rasengan, their intent lost on everyone but Tobirama.
"You have no right to make fun of the hokage, when you couldn't be one yourself" Misaki began.
"Especially our old man, who actually became one!" Naruto ended, Nidaime appearing on their backs and transporting them behind Obito.
"How dare you put him down!" Naruto growled, their attack pressing hard against Obito pushing him back down to the ground.
"How did it work?" Sasuke asked when the three had returned.
"We used sage technique, it's a kind of technique that utilizes natural energy, you can counter natural energy with natural energy, not that I understand it completely, I'm just glad I learned sage technique" Naruto explained as best as he can.
"The technique might have worked, but he already has recovered, and now guarding his back" Tobirama placed into attention. The ground shook as he prepared for the tsukiyomi, the three bursting four blooms set to release four bijuu bombs, and just to put icing on the cake, he imitated the four crimson rays and locked everyone in.
While Minato and Tobirama come up with a plan to save everyone as much as possible, Misaki holds on to Naruto's hands. Naruto took one look at Misaki and nodded, in turn Naruto offers his fist to Minato, who reluctantly pressed him against Naruto's.
"Minato is useless. He couldn't even protect your mom, or his subordinates, you know what tomorrow is don't you? It's the anniversary of Minato and Kushina's deaths, the day your parents died" Obito said, hiding behind his giant black head.
"Yeah that's right that means it's also the day we were born! So you see it's not over, cause we still exist in this world!" Naruto brushed off his jaunting, and Minato couldn't help the pride in his eyes, whispering his thoughts to his dear wife, how their children are all grown up now.
"Let's go Pops Misaki!" Naruto announced and the three of them glowed with Kurama's chakra.
"What's your plan?" Sasuke asked, but Naruto merely brushed him off as he was trying to focus, and it wasn't futile as moments later the battlefield lit up once again with the fiery flames of Kurama's chakra.
Juugo arrived at their location, urging Sasuke to use the reverse summoning snake and leaving the place.
"That's the plan, I was going to take you and the two of them with me," Sasuke replied.
"Hey you two, I haven't given you my chakra, get over here so I can give it to you" Naruto called out when the exchange between the two made him notice that they weren't exactly covered in orange.
"And what's that going to accomplish?" Sasuke asked.
"Sasuke, just get over here" Misaki puffed, fed up with the two tossing and turning with every single thing
"Are you ready Misaki?" Naruto checked on his sister who nodded.
"Of course we have to thank Obito-san" Misaki smiled as the ground shook with concentrated force.

My goodness, I thought writing this war sequence was difficult when they were apart, but boy was it hard utilizing the number of characters within this part of the war, especially since you know there's three overpowered enemies and thousands on their side. It kinda feels weird that they are just standing as spectators from the sidelines.
Minato and the other hokages are here, you know what that means?!
We're actually nearing the end of this fanfiction and that both makes me sad and eager at the same time. I've estimated the number of chapters when I began outlining this story years ago, and even now this near the end I haven't decided on how to end the fanfiction.
Don't get me wrong I've written a dozen, and I'm not even exaggerating, a dozen of the ending and none of them have yet to hit that bliss point, I guess i'd still go with how I think the characters would react authentically in the spur of the moment.
