A/N: Thank you for the reviews and for your favs/follows for this story. Always great for me to see people like it. I usually try to respond to reviews via PM if they warrant a response. If you're a guest I can't reply and if it's a flame, I usually just try an ignore it. One guest posted a review that I guess could be considered a flame, but I think they raised some points that are worth addressing since I'm sure they are not alone in their opinions. I'd like to explain myself a bit in case another reader shares this opinion.

The points they raised were 1: The Kais could not seal someone stronger than them. 2: The Kai OCs were garbage and I should get rid of them. At least that was the gist I got from it.

So, now to address these points in order.

1: Anime in general and DBZ in particular use sealing as a way to stop impossibly strong opponents all the time (Or at least they try). Just in the Dragonball franchise, the Mafuba is used a fair bit. Not to mention the fact that four Kais, who's power levels are supposed to be around 3500 or so, are able to seal Bojack, a Cell level enemy, along with his crew. I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility for a Kai who is supposedly many times stronger than Frieza, to have a few sealing techniques that could capture Gohan in the right circumstances.

2: I am well aware that the hierarchy of Kai's that I portray is not the way things are in cannon. If you don't like the Kai OCs I made for the purposes of this story, good, they aren't meant to be liked. With a few exceptions, they're meant to be arrogant and bureaucratic. If you think their characters are written poorly, I'm sorry. They are barely tertiary characters, so they aren't as developed as the other characters. I do hope they don't ruin the story for you though.

So, that being said, I appreciate your review and questioning my logic. I hope you keep reading and trying to ensure my writing makes contextual sense.

If I haven't replied to your review already, I just want to say thank you. I hope you all continue to enjoy the story.

Disclaimer: I don't own Dragonball, DBZ or Dragonball Super.

Chapter 38

"Momento Mori Buu." Gohan said.

"You know, Gohan's the only one who can make nerd stuff sound awesome." Zangya mused while listening to Gohan's intellectual death threat. 'It's also kinda hot.'

"Well, let's just hope that he makes good on his promise." Goku had a serious expression as he watched his son square up to the majin.

"Of course, he will." Zangya insisted. "I mean, he's Gohan after all."

"He's strong, that's for sure. So strong that we'd really just get in his way." Goku said with genuine pride in his son. "He's also got a good head for strategy, but the question is, can he find a way to destroy Buu before his energy runs out? He's just been coming back no matter how much damage is done, and I have a feeling we're only beginning to see what Buu is capable of."

Zangya stopped to think about this. It was true that Buu kept on surprising them. It really did seem like he was indestructible. How could you beat an enemy that you couldn't even hurt permanently? She looked worriedly at Gohan. "He'll find a way." She smiled. "He'll figure out how to win no problem."

Gohan stared at the pink blob before him. His initial assault had been fueled by his desire to protect Zangya, but since the blitz failed, he needed a more calculated approach to deal with this opponent.

Buu frowned at the human in front of him who had just threatened his death. "You no kill Buu. Buu kill you!" He jumped at Gohan with his fist pulled back. Gohan dashed forward and slipped his head past Buu's fist, countering the punch with his own in the enemy's fat face. Buu flew backwards only for Gohan to grab his foot and bring his energized hand down on the knee severing the limb from its rotund body.

The young warrior examined the leg while Buu flew away from him. Before he got the chance to get a good look at it, it formed into a pink blob and flew out of his hands, reattaching itself to its owner.

"Nyahnyah!" Buu stuck his long tongue out and danced around taunting his opponent. Gohan appeared in front if the man-child and yanked him downward with a firm grip on his tongue, butting the monsters head against his own.

"OOWIE!" Buu yelled angrily and Gohan shoved the tongue back into his mouth while punching the back of his throat.

"HAAA!" Gohan fired a one-handed ki wave within the creature's mouth and the head of Majin Buu was blown away by in an explosion, leaving a headless blob standing in front of him. The body didn't seem to care that it was headless though as almost immediately it swung a fist at the teen, making him jump back to avoid the yellow mitten. The half Saiyan watched curiously as the base of Buu's neck began to bubble and bulge until a full head appeared with a *pop*.

"BUU GET YOU FOR THAT!" The majin came at the boy with both hands raised over his head. He brought his joined fists down on Gohan who caught both hands at the wrist. Buu growled as he tried to force the attack downward and to the teen's surprise, he actually started to struggle against the monster and his feet sunk into the earth. Instead of continuing to push back, the Saiyan stepped forward while spinning his body and flipped Buu over him. He slammed Buu against the ground, releasing him to bring his hands over his head. "MASENKO-HA!" He fired but Buu did a backwards summersault to evade the yellow blast.

Gohan didn't give his quarry any time to recover, dashing forward and landing a dozen hits on his body. Buu struck back with a stretched-out punch but Gohan weaved to the side as he saw it coming without breaking his rhythm. He sunk another punch into Buus belly and to his surprise, the body became even softer, and the teens arm sank deeper into the monster than he meant to. Buu clenched down on his opponents' arm, keeping Gohan trapped so he could get his payback.

Yellow gloved fists came at Gohan's face like a swarm of bees. That is if the bees were super-fast and magical. Gohan did his best to avoid the storm and even with his hand stuck, he still did a decent job of weaving through Buu's assault while also using his other hand to guard. Unfortunately, Buu did an even better job of capitalizing on the handicap. With as fast as his hands were moving, Gohan could only block two hits for every three or four that came at him.

"Pow!" A right hook impacted his cheek, but the boy kept his head moving. The follow up was dodged and another hit was taken on Gohan's forearm.

"PowPow!" A straight hit to the face followed by an uppercut that grazed the saiyan's chin. With his one arm stuck and his other occupied completely by blocking, he was unable to strike back with any real resistance.

"Pow! Pow!" Buu chanted every time a hit landed on his enemy's face and Gohan could do little but grit his teeth and take the punishment head on.

"Will you SHUT UP!" Tired of not being able to fight back, he gathered ki inside the monster to blow himself free. Buu felt the rumbling in his tumbly and before the attack exploded, he belly bumped Gohan while loosening his stomach. Gohan bounced away and the ki blast flew just over the majin's head. After hitting the ground, he quickly rolled to his feet, just in time to deflect Buu's own ki blast into the air. In a single jump, the blob cleared the distance between himself and his opponent, trying to stomp Gohan as he landed. Rolling forward, the teen was able to avoid the foot and when he stood up, he landed a jumping side kick dead center on Buu's back sending the monster flying forward.

Bouncing off the ground and turning around to face Gohan, he cupped his hands at his side and gathered some pink ki. Gohan's eyes widened, and he dove to the side just in time to avoid the attack and the beam passed by him. "Hahaha!" Buu giggled. "Buu make mean boy dance!" He cupped his hands again and prepared for another imitation Kamehameha but Gohan had already closed the distance.

"Then allow me to take the LEAD!" He stopped the attack with a superman punch to Buus cheek that sent him reeling. He landed and came back with a right hook in the pudgy face, followed by a fist to the chest, then a knee to the chin. He landed a blow to Buu's stomach and his arm was sucked in once more.

"Buu trick you again!" The monster taunted, but his gloating was short lived. He didn't even have time to throw a single punch before Gohan yelled out.

"MASENKO FIST!" He ripped his fist out of his opponents' gut, leaving the hole charred and blackened.

"OWIE! That no fair!" Before he could protest much further, a fist surrounded by bright yellow ki came at him. He moved his head to the side but the blow grazed his cheek, causing pink smoke to stream from the wound. Buu didn't like this development. He tried unsuccessfully to block the next attack with his arm, the glowing fist just taking a chunk out of it. Happy with Buu's obvious distress, Gohan kept his opponent off balance by switching from the body to the head, each hit burning off a bit of Buu and emitting pink steam. Buu was a quick learner and, just as he had done with Goku and Zangya, he began to adapt to Gohan's level of fighting. He slowly started to dodge some of the hits rather than blocking. Burn holes covered his rotund body and he tried to reassemble himself while avoiding the fiery fists of destruction.

Even though Buu was starting to dodge some of Gohan's attacks, he couldn't completely escape from all the damage. Gohan was still faster and regardless of how quickly Buu moved, he still presented a wide target to the teen. Getting frustrated that he couldn't seem to defend against the mean boy, Buu tried to copy him, lashing out with a front kick surrounded by pink ki. Gohan saw it coming and jumped up, flipping over the blob, grabbing the antenna as he did so. A sonic boom sounded as Gohan flew into the air, hauling the enemy up with incredible speed.

When they were high in the sky, Gohan tossed the majin upward and cupped his hands at his side. "KaameeHAAAAMEEEE" Gohan flexed his fingers and the ball of energy compressed, glowing even brighter. "-HAAAA!" He fired a giant blue wave and Buu actually looked scared. Before the attack hit Buu spread his limbs out and started to bloat up. The Kamehameha wave engulfed all but his limbs, the four appendages falling to the ground.

Gohan was impressed. Buu's indestructibility was no joke. He seemed to be able to recover from anything, be it loss of limb or head. Even attempting to burn the monster seemed pointless. He thought at first that destroying Buu one piece at a time would be the easiest way to dispose of him, but it seemed that not only could he reassemble himself if destroyed, he could reproduce body parts easier than even Cell. Like a magical form of mitosis. Just like with the android, Gohan believed that if he fired an attack with enough power, he could destroy the monster in one shot. Unfortunately, Buu seemed to be more durable than Cell and even a compressed Kamehameha wave didn't completely wipe out all trace of him. It's true that his attack destroyed the majority of the monster, but at the last minute Buu stretched himself wider than the attack so a portion of his body remained. Not only did his limbs survive, but Gohan also saw a puff of pink cloud remain from his attack.

'I guess the law of conservation of matter applies even with magical pink demons.' His Masenko fists had left his hands slightly burned and didn't permantly destroy the parts he charred off of Buu. All it really did was basically turn him from a solid to a gas and even a compressed Kamehameha did the same thing. As the monster started to reform again, Gohan tried to consider his options. 'What I really need is an attack with enough range and power that he can't escape." Gohan tried to think. there wasn't much in his arsenal that could surpass a Kamehameha. 'I guess I have one attack that could work. It just isn't really safe to use this close to earth. Is it really necessary? I mean, I have the advantage in power, and I have better technique than him, so he isn't that hard to deal with. Plus, his childishness is making him easy to throw off balance. On the other hand, he seems to be getting better as he goes, and his energy doesn't seem to be decreasing. If I let this drag on, He might get the upper hand eventually.'

Making up his mind, he descended to the earth between Buu's regenerating body and his three companions who were staring at the boy in awe and admiration.

"Incredible…" Shin uttered. "He isn't even using his demon abilities."

"Way to go Gohan!" Zangya cheered. "One more like that and bubblegum wad is history!"

Gohan nodded while keeping his eyes on Buu's recovery. "Yeah, you might be right. I do have one attack that might finish him off."

"Really!?" Goku and Shin asked simultaneously.

"Maybe. I don't really know what will happen when I use it at full power. Guess we'll find out now." He looked to see that Buu had fully reformed looking anything but happy. "I'm gonna try to get him in the air to minimize the damage. If you can, I'd put a ki barrier over yourselves." Gohan walked closer to Buu and the pink demon growled and steamed.

"GrrAGH! Why you so much stronger than Buu!?"

"I'm not." Gohan replied. "Not by a ton anyway."

"Then why you beating Buu!?" He pointed and stomped his foot like a toddler having a tantrum.

"Easy." Gohan disappeared. "Because you suck at fighting."

Buu turned when he heard the voice behind him just in time to take a side kick on his cross guard. Buu used roundhouse which Gohan blocked with his forearm, making him skid sideways.

"And you're dumb." Gohan taunted further.

In anger, Buu aimed a spinning elbow strike which Gohan countered with his own, the resulting backlash of the blows meeting created a giant crack in the earth. The shock surprised Buu and Gohan pressed his advantage by sending a right straight ripping through his opponents' chest where his heart would be, splattering a pink wad of goo out and on the ground. Buu growled and turned red as steam shot from his pores. He aimed his antenna at his enemy and Gohan jumped back in time to avoid the pink candy beam. The ground where he was standing began sprouting lollipops like mushrooms.

"Buu not dumbdumb! You Dumdum!" He continued to shoot his beam at Gohan but it continued to miss as the boy vanished from one spot, landed at another, then vanished again before the beam hit. Buu was getting more and more frustrated and the growing supply of candy on the ground was starting to distract him. Seeing an opening, the demi Saiyan appeared right in front of his enemy, making Buu nearly stumble backwards. He smiled at the abomination before shooting up into the sky.

"You won't be able to hit me from down there!"

Buu growled and let off even more steam before he took off after Gohan and was gaining fast. The teen looked behind him to see that Buu was following him. 'Alright, might only have one shot at this.' Allowing himself to slowdown, he started to focus his energy for his attack. "Atomic…" Buu was right on his tail. "Kame…" A yellow mitten reached out for his foot while he cupped his hands at his side. "Hame…" He stopped abruptly in the air while Buu shot past him, not expecting his target to stop so suddenly. He looked down and saw that in Gohan's cupped hands there was a blue ball with two yellow rings orbiting it at in a crossing pattern like an atom. "HAAAAAAA!"

The beam fired with the rings spiraling around it in a crisscross pattern. It came over Buu in less than a second and went from bright blue and yellow to a blinding white. Even though Gohan was high above the earth, the planet still trembled at the power he unleashed. The ground began to break apart and the loose rocks disintegrated while Shin, Zangya and Goku felt the scorching heat penetrate their defenses. It felt as though their fate would be the same as the rocks, disintegrated into tiny particles. They couldn't even keep their eyes open to see what was happening, such was the to the intensity and brightness of the attack.

At last, the attack finished but none of them wanted to look up in case they could still go blind. Unable to take the suspense, Zangya was the first to open her eyes and look up. In the sky, there was no more Majin Buu, but she was engulfed in horror as she saw that there was no sign of Gohan either.

"G-gohan?" No answer came. "GOHAN!" She yelled in a panic.

"BUUUUUUU!" The familiar war cry came from behind and froze her heart in a block of ice.

Break

Anger overtook her and she spun around with fists raised. "HOW DARE YOU KILL MY-" She stopped as a finger was poking her cheek. She blinked when she saw the one the appendage belonged to. "Gohan?"

"Gotcha." The teen gave her a cheerful grin. He had seen that they were all closing their eyes and thought it would be a funny prank. "Sorry Zangya, I couldn't resist." He started to laugh, which he would soon find was a mistake.

"Ahahaha! You should have seen your face! Hahahaha *SMACK* OWWW!" Gohan crouched down while rubbing his head and Zangya was holding her spoon with a fiery aura surrounding her. If looks could kill, her eyes would be locked up for life. "It's. Not. FUNNY!"

For someone who had just successfully taken on one of the most powerful monsters the universe had ever known, the terror in the young warrior's face was a comical sight to behold. He tried to explain himself as the girl advanced on him with narrowed eyes. "I-I-I'm sorry, I just thought that-"

He was cut off as she pulled him up and wrapped him in a tight, yet tender, hug. "Don't ever do that to me again." Gohan sighed in relief before he returned the embrace and placed a hand on the back of her head. "I won't. I'm sorry Zangya."

Goku looked at the scene with a smile. Gohan really had grown up more than he realized. "All jokes aside, I gotta say, that was the most amazing thing I've ever seen, even with my eyes closed."

"I-indeed." Shin was still gob smacked by the fact that Gohan had singlehandedly destroyed a seemingly indestructible opponent. "Gohan, you have my sincerest gratitude. If it hadn't been for you..." Shin bowed, causing the three mortals' eyes to widen. "Thank you."

Gohan smiled and laughed a little awkwardly. "Heheh, no problem. I mean, I live here. I'm not going to stand by when my friends and family are in danger. You don't really have to thank me for saving my home."

Shin raised his head and was about to tell Gohan just how big a deal what he actually did was but Zangya broke in with some nervousness.

"Um… Gohan?" The friends and family bit made her remember something unpleasant. "There's something you should know."

"What's wrong?" He asked with concern.

"P-piccolo… I left him alone to go in the ship. I… I think he got caught up in the blast." She looked absolutely miserable as she told her friend the bad news.

When Gohan realized what she was saying, a painful look entered his eyes, and he hung his head while clenching his fists so hard his arms began to tremble. His power began to surge as he tried to get his grief under control.

"Gohan I'm so sorry. It's all my fault, if only I hadn't left him, he-"

"No." Gohan cut her off without looking up. "If there's anyone to blame, it's me."

"No, that isn't true!" The girl protested.

"I couldn't get Dabura to release the spell. If I had, Piccolo wouldn't have-"

"We'll get him back Gohan!" Zangya couldn't take Gohan looking so miserable. She almost wished he had just blamed her instead. "We can use the dragon balls remember?"

Looking up, he forced himself to smile. "Yeah, let's do that." 'Yeah, that's right, just let the dragon clean up your mess like usual. Pathetic.'

Goku saw his son's subdued manner and had a feeling he knew the reason. He walked over and put a hand on the boy's shoulder. "You can't always save everyone." Gohan turned away. 'You always seemed like you could.' His father continued. "You know, I forgot to tell your mom to get dinner started. If we get her now, I'm sure she'll cook us something really good when we get home. Then we can hunt for the dragon balls."

Eager to cheer Gohan up, Zangya nodded her head fiercely. "Yeah! Me and Chichi will make the best meal you've ever had! All your favorites. We'll have a feast to celebrate you saving the world. Again."

"Sounds good." Gohan tried to give her a cheerful look, but the smile didn't reach his eyes. He didn't even have an enemy to pound on to release his frustration like normal.

"Great! I'm starved! Come on Supreme Kai!" Goku started to walk away, joined by a mentally exhausted Shin. Gohan let out a small chuckle at his father's appetite and started following him with Zangya at his side.

"Are you gonna be ok?" She asked her younger friend.

"I guess." Gohan shrugged. "Some things are hard to get over so quickly, dragon balls or no dragon balls."

The Hera nodded in understanding. "My mother used to say that the only way to take the sorrow out of death is to take the love out of life. I think that's probably true even with a magic dragon around."

Gohan nodded. Losing a friend like Piccolo was a huge blow, though it was softened by the fact that they could bring him back. But it was made even worse as it was also a reminder of his own weakness and inability to protect what he loved. He didn't like to rely on the dragon balls to fix his mistakes.

Deciding that a change in topic was needed, Zangya did just that. "So that final attack you used was amazing. What's it called?"

"The atomic Kamehameha." Gohan answered. Despite his grief, he was rather proud of the technique.

"Oh." Zangya said with a little disappointment. "So, it's just a really big and powerful Kamehameha?"

Goku looked back at his son, clearly interested in the technique. "Yes and no. See we were learning about nuclear fission in school and I thought it would be cool to-"

"LOOK OUT!" Goku rushed the teens and pushed them out of the way, both of them landing on the ground. Gohan got back up and turned around.

"Dad what's the big idea? DAD!?" The teen cried out when he saw what was happening to his father. Goku was struggling as a pink goo was trying to engulf him.

Break

"Buu!?" Zangya yelled in fear and shock.

"No! How!? You destroyed every last trace of him!" Shin panicked.

Gohan couldn't believe it. He was sure that he had gotten Buu for good. Realizing that the how didn't matter, he started to move towards a struggling Goku. "Hang on dad! I'll get you out!"

"NO!" Shin grabbed Gohan from behind and tried to hold him back.

"What are you doing!? Dad needs my help!"

"You must not let that touch you, he may absorb you-OOF!" Shin sunk to the ground holding his stomach and Gohan tried to reach his father. Zangya followed his lead but Goku cried out.

"STAY AWAY!" The goo had covered everything but an arm and his face by now. Gohan ignored his warning and reached out to grab Goku. Instead of letting him help, the Saiyan knocked his son away with his free hand and Gohan hit the ground hard. He got up just in time to see the last of his father's face be completely covered by pink.

"DAAAAAAAAAAD!"

All he could do was watch as the slime overcame his father. The blob ceased to move from the struggling of its captive and started to glow bright pink. The form smoothed out and morphed into a humanoid shape.

"Gohan, you must destroy that thing now!" Shin yelled.

"But what about my dad!?" He asked angrily.

"It is too late for him now! He is now a part of that monster and he-"

"Monster?" The calm question came from the newly formed pink figure. The being in front of them was a far cry from the pudgy man child that had hatched from the egg. He now had the body of a warrior with a muscular figure and a firm law line.

"Do you really think I'm a monster Gohan? Your own father?"

While the person in front of them had the antenna and the skin of Buu, the build and facial features belonged to Goku. He was wearing the clothes that Goku was wearing and as it spoke, even its voice sounded similar to Goku's. Regardless of the similarities, Gohan narrowed his eyes when he gave his reply. "You think I'm an idiot? I know you're not really my dad. Tell me what happened to him?"

"Gohan!" Shin urged, only received a glare in return.

"Stay out of this." He warned before returning his attention to Buu. "Answer me Buu."

"Ahahaha! Oh, I'll answer you, But I don't think you'll like what I tell you." Buu replied. "That little technique of yours nearly killed me. Fortunately, I wasn't quite whole when you fired it, thanks to you of course."

"What are you talking about?" Gohan demanded.

Buu raised his hand and touched a finger to his chest. The teen's eyes widened as a memory flashed in his mind. "When I punched a hole through you some pink goo landed on the ground…"

"Yes." Buu nodded with satisfaction. "Luckily I wasn't able to reattach it before I chased you into the sky. If I had, we wouldn't be able to continue our fight."

Gohan cursed himself for making such a mistake. That was hardly his main concern now though. "Are you going to tell me what you've done to my dad or what?" He asked impatiently.

"Like I said, I am him. I guess you could call it a defense mechanism. Like, if I find someone too strong to beat, I can just absorb them. I can do it at will if I want, but it also happens as a reflex. What I absorb becomes a part of me. I am now just as much Goku as Buu. I guess you could call me Buuku. No wait, that's stupid. Gobuu? Yeah, that sounds better."

"But why!?" Zangya couldn't help herself. "Why did you absorb Goku? He isn't the one who beat you."

"He wasn't aiming for dad Zangya." Gohan answered for the monster. "I was the target, dad just got in the way. Right?" Buu nodded, though the affirmation gave the boy no satisfaction.

"That's right. I don't think I've met a warrior like you in all my life. Even stronger than the last person I absorbed."

"Last person?" Realization dawned on Gohan and he turned to glare at Shin. "You knew he could do this, didn't you?"

The supreme Kai flinched at the accusatory tone. "Yes."

"And you didn't think to warn us!?" Zangya shouted.

"Oh, don't be too hard on him." Gobuu said with fake sympathy. "Try and show some respect for the departed."

The death threat was missed by no one and Shin's eyes went even wider with fear.

"Yes, that's right supreme Kai, part of me is Goku, and that part's got a bit of resentment toward you. Holding a boy hostage and forcing his father into servitude doesn't sound like something a supreme Kai should do. I'm even ashamed to be dressed like you." The formal Kai clothing that Gobuu wore slowly shifted into a blue undershirt and orange tanktop. Rather than the Kame symbol, the insignia on the front was the stylized M of the Majin. (In case anyone forgot, Goku came to earth dressed the same as Kibito and Shin.)

"That's much better. Now, on to business." In a burst of speed, Gobuu came at the supreme Kai with his hand charging Ki over his head. Even if Shin could react in time, his body was too frozen with fear to do so. His life flashed before his eyes as the monster came closer, bringing his imminent death. Before Gobuu could release his attack a knee impacted the side of his head launching him into the distance. Gohan landed in front of Shin and looked down at him with contempt.

"You're going to tell Zangya everything you know about this." Gohan ordered. "Zangya, try and find out if he knows any way to undo this."

The hera looked at Gohan with concern. From the way he was acting, he seemed just fine. But he had used up a considerable amount of energy against the fat Buu. He hadn't gotten away from that fight unscathed either. Buu hat gotten some good hits in and the demi saiyan's hands looked burned from when he wrapped them in the masenko. Not to mention the fact that Gobuu felt more powerful than fat Buu by a long way. "Are you gonna be okay fighting Gobuu?"

"Don't call him that!" Gohan snapped. The Hera looked hurt by his outburst, causing him to regret his actions. He was about to apologize, but a voice from above stopped him.

"Now, now, son, that's no way to treat your girlfriend." Buu was floating cross legged above them with is head in his hand.

Gohan clenched his jaw and growled through gritted teeth. "I'm not your SON!" His aura flared around him as he powered up. He flew up to meet Buu with a fist full of anger, but the punch was caught by a pink hand.

"Not bad." Gobuu chuckled. "I'm actually glad that I didn't absorb you. This fight should be fun." He released the fist before hitting Gohan in the head with a round house. The teen's head twisted to the side and he bent over from the impact of the kick. Buu grabbed the back of the boy's head and brought it down while bringing his knee upward. Gohan brought his arms up and the knee impacted on his cross guard. Gobuu tried to hit him with another knee, but the younger warrior fired a burst of ki from his mouth blasting off a part of Buu's leg. Twisting his head out of the monster's grip he fired a few quick jabs into his abdomen followed by a high kick to the chin. Buu blocked a roundhouse to his head with his hand before closing his grip and tossing Gohan away. "Oh yeah, this is gonna be really fun." Buu laughed as he chased after his opponent.

Shin watched the battle drift away from them. Every time he thought that things couldn't get any worse, that's just what they did. Suddenly, he was hauled up by the front of his shirt and brought face to face with a furious Hera woman.

"Like Gohan said, you're going to tell me everything you know about this monster, starting with how to reverse the fusion." There was danger in Zangya's eyes that told him his fate would not be pleasant if he didn't give the right answers.

"Th-there is no way to undo what has been done. I'm sor-"

"LISTEN YOU LITTLE PUNK!" She started to shake the Kai vigorously. "Maybe you haven't noticed, but that thing just got a huge power up! I don't even know if Gohan could take him at full power and he's already been fighting and using energy like crazy! He's exhausted and he's injured. Besides that do you really expect him to sentence his own father to death!? What ever Buu did to Goku, he basically has a hostage now. If we don't find a way to free Gohan's father, then you can kiss this universe you supposedly rule goodbye! Tell me how to release him NOW!"

"I DON'T KNOW!" Shin yelled back. Zangya stopped shaking him. "I don't know! Don't you think I would have done something about it if I did!? The last person he absorbed was the grand supreme Kai! He was my mentor, my friend! I would do anything to rescue him from his fate but I can't! There is no other way! Gohan must destroy that abomination for the good of all creation! Even if that means he must destroy his own father."

Zangya threw him to the ground and gave him a disgusted look. "You're pathetic. You consign a good soul to oblivion and a boy to misery. Have you no heart? No compassion? You should at least try to do something, anything to help. But you can't be bothered to even try and find an alternative. All the mighty supreme Kai can do to protect his domain is cower and wait for a teenager to do his job for him." Zangya turned her back on him and faced toward the direction of the battle. "You're useless. You probably don't even know anything that could help us."

Shin looked up at her before hanging his head in shame.

"You stay here sniveling if you want, but I'm going to help my friend."

"But what can you possibly do?" Shin couldn't help but ask the question.

"Everything I can to keep him safe." Her aura flared and she took off, blowing dust on the supreme Kai as she went.

Break

The fight between Gohan and Gobuu was not going well. Gohan was barely able to keep up while Buu seemed to be having the time of his life. He smiled and swayed back causing the teen's fist to sail in front of him. Two left jabs hit their mark though, landing on the pink face one right after the other. He followed up with a spartan kick aimed at Buu's chest, but the pink demon diverted his foot with an open hand. Using his momentum, he landed a spinning back fist on his younger opponent, smacking Gohan away.

After steadying himself, Gohan used his wrist to wipe some blood off his chin as he glared at Buu. The majin folded his arms and smiled. "Go ahead, take a breather. You must be exhausted after so many fights." The words were spoken with an air of condescension and Gohan growled in response.

"I'm just fine." He flew back at his opponent and the two fighters clashed.

"Are you sure?" Gobuu said as he dodged a fist and returned one of his own which was blocked by Gohan. "I mean first Dabura, then Vegeta and even my fatter self." He swatted a few more punches away before hitting Gohan square in the temple and the teen went crashing into the ground below.

Gritting his teeth and clenching his fist, Gohan pushed himself up to his feet and readied himself to face Buu. The monster calmly dropped to the earth.

"You used a lot of energy in that fight alone. Not to mention the fact that you've been in super Saiyan two for a long time, and super Saiyan even before that. You sure you don't want to take a break?" He asked smugly.

"Just shut up and fight."

"What's wrong? Aren't you having fun? I'm having a blast, just like back when we were in the time chamber." Gohan growled in response and Buu laughed. "You've always made for a pretty entertaining opponent. I just think you'd be even more fun if you recovered your energy."

"I've got plenty of energy for the likes of you."

"Oh really, so you've been holding back?" Buu asked mockingly. "Didn't want to go all out against your old man?"

That set him off. "You're not. My. DAAAAAAAAAD!" Gohan's power shot up and his aura reignited. He lunged at Buu who just laughed. The majin raised his arms to ready himself for the assault but it came quicker than he anticipated and Gohan nailed him in the face. His arms and legs moved like a hurricane as he continued to pummel Gobuu. "YOU AREN'T HIM!" He shouted, landing a foot in his foe's ribs. "You absorbed him! That's it! You stole him!" Buu struck out with a back hand but Gohan ducked and dove into his guard. He began to punch with all his might at the pink midsection. His fists ignited with Ki and they started to rip and burn through the pink skin. "I'll beat him out of you if I have to! Let! Him! GO!"

To get the raging teen off of him, Buu stretched out his antenna and wrapped it around his attacker's neck. Whipping his head around, he spun Gohan in the air before releasing him away from him. Looking down at his body, he admired Gohan's handy work. Blackened gouges covered his abdomen and obliques. "Woah, not bad." The dents in him popped out and the smoke returned to fill in the gaps. "I wonder how much more he has in him."

To answer his question, Gohan came charging back at him. Buu was ready this time and fended of the first strike with an upward cross block. Gohan tried for an uppercut but Buu brought a hand down to catch it. The teen bared his teeth and Buu did the same in a grin.

"I have no intention of separating myself."

Gohan tried to kick him in the face but Buu hit him with a head butt. Then he picked the kid up before slamming him to the ground.

"I like this new form. I'm stronger now, aren't I? Or do you think I still 'suck at fighting'?"

Spinning around, Gohan used his low position to swipe Buu's legs out from under him. As he fell, Buu fired a Ki blast at the ground causing a cloud of dust and gravel to explode upward, making it so that neither fighter could see the other. Gohan, now fully on his feet, tried to sense where Buu was. He turned around and brought his arms up just in time to block a pink fist. Before he could retaliate, Buu was gone again.

"My moves are sharper." Buu appeared again and Gohan dodged to the side and a kick flew past his head. "So is my mind." A fist sprouted up from the ground and sped toward the teen's chin which he avoided by doing a back hand-spring. "You're good Gohan, but even you're no match for your father's martial arts combined with Buu's invincibility.

"RAAAAAGGHHH!" A kiai forced the dust cloud to depart and the boy looked around, unable to see his enemy. "You're nothing but a poor imitation Buu!" Gohan shouted. "If you were really my dad, you might stand a chance against me, but we both know I can destroy you! That's why you're hiding isn't it!? I already proved I can do it before!"

He started charging a Kamehameha and turned around, facing Buu as he appeared. "Kamehame-"

"Destroy me, and you'll never see Goku again, dead or alive."

This statement froze the teen in pace and his attack dissipated. Buu was right. He couldn't risk sending his father to oblivion.

"I thought so!" Gobuu swung a sideways jack hammer fist knocking his opponent back. "If anyone's a poor imitation, it's you." He charged Gohan and kicked him into the air. "Trying so hard to be like Goku, but all you're doing is playing hero." Buu instant transmissioned next to Gohan and brought an axe kick down on him. The young warrior brought his guard up in time to block, but it still sent him speeding toward the ground. "Daddy wouldn't have let you get absorbed." Gobuu jeered. "He wouldn't have let his best friend be turned to stone." He sped downward and Gohan jumped out of the way as the abomination hit the earth like a meteorite. "But you're the one who let me die in the first place." He pulled his feet out of the ground.

"You… aren't… him." Gohan was breathing heavy.

"Does it really matter?" Buu questioned. "I'm enough of him to know the truth. With all your power, you're still unable to do anything to protect what you care about. So just keep throwing your tantrums. It didn't save Piccolo and it won't make me separate. I only let you last this long because you're a fun challenge. This fight is just to pass the time." He teleported in front of Gohan and buried a fist in his stomach making the boy gasp for air. "All you are to your father now, is entertainment." Adding injury to insult, he landed an elbow on Gohan's temple, toppling the teen to the ground.

"Come on now, don't give up on me yet." Buu coaxed the downed teen. "After all, don't you have the power to destroy me? I'm eager to see it."

Gohan Raised his fist slowly and punched the ground. He looked up, shooting a death glare at his enemy before pushing himself up slowly. He just stood there for a moment, eyes closed and breathing in through his nose and out through his mouth. When he stopped, he opened his eyes which held a look of hatred. In a flash he was crouched down in front of Buu. "HAAAAH!" With a wild shout Gohan attacked the majin.

Despite the hale storm of blows, Gobuu just kept smiling. At first nothing he did could make it through Buu's guard, but the monster was soon surprised when some of the kid's attacks made contact on his body. Rather than petering out, his assault actually increased in intensity. This did little to dampen Gobuu's good mood.

"HRAGH!" Buu shouted and the kiai forced Gohan back a few feet. Undeterred by the monster's apparent power, Gohan dove back in, but not before Gobuu yelled out "TRI FORM!" Gohan hit the center Buu, but there were now two more on either side of him. Gohan blocked a front kick from one, only to have the other one land an elbow on his back. Gohan turned around while stumbling forward but the other Buu grabbed him in a bear hug.

"GEAAAAAAAGH!" Gohan let out a cry of pain as the majin began to squeeze. The other two Buus were standing to the side and laughing. "What a precious sight." They took turns punching and kicking Gohan in the gut while he was unable to fight back.

"It looks like he doesn't like it." One Buu said with a side kick.

"What's wrong Gohan?" The other one asked. "Too old for a hug from your old man?" Gohan stopped screaming in pain and did something that none of the Buus expected. He chomped down on the arm of the one holding him.

"OOW!" He yelled and released the boy. Gohan ducked down in time to dodge a kick from Buu one, which resulted in the blow landing on the Buu Gohan bit. Spinning behind them and lining them all up in a row, Gohan hit the first one with a close range Ki blast that sent him flying into the others. The three Buus merged on the ground and stood up but Gohan was back on them with more fury than ever.

Buu got his guard up just in time to block the boys first hit, but his fury made defense more difficult than ever. Buu was still smiling though. For every attack that the teen landed, the majin returned the hit with equal power. Though he was marked with bruises, burns and blood, Gohan refused to back down and just kept going. This fight was the most fun Buu had ever had. He almost wanted to heal the boy so that they could continue. However, all good things had to end and Buu felt like Gohan had just about done everything he was going to do to keep things interesting.

He wound up his arm, readying it for a haymaker, ignoring the pain as Gohan pounded away at his midsection. "No hard feelings kid!" He let his fist fly, but halfway to its target it froze. "What the!?"

Seeing the opening, Gohan slammed a haymaker of his own into Buu's surprised face. The hit sent the creature flying before he finally landed on his back. Getting up quickly, Gobuu looked himself over, trying to figure out what just happened. His enemy wasn't about to allow him too much time to figure it out and Gohan was back in the fray. Buu tried to smack him down with a downward thrust but again, his body froze and Gohan unleashed everything he had on him, landing innumerable solid hits on his opponent and finishing it off with a masenko.

Buu fell once more to the ground, this time, a misshapen, mutilated mess. He saw Gohan continue his advance and teleported up into the sky to gain some distance while he regenerated. "What on earth is going on! Why can't I attack!?"

The demi Saiyan was still charging and Buu tried to defend. Gohan was right in front of him but whatever was stopping him from attacking wouldn't even let him move his arms to defend.

"KAMEHAMEHAA!" Gohan fired quickly and the blast consumed the lower part of the majin's body, leaving the chest and above to fall to the ground.

"H-how!?" Gobuu questioned in anger and confusion. "Why can I not attack him!?"

Gohan was flying straight down at him with both arms extended, ready to plow him right into the ground. Even in his half-formed state, he tried to flee, but again something kept him from moving. Gohan's fists slammed into Buu, but not before the monster noticed a thin, almost invisible wire floating next to him. Gohan wailed on him, but even with the intense beating, his thoughts were else were. 'It's her! The girls here! But where?'

Unable to take Gohan's assault anymore, he morphed into slime while keeping his eyes and slithered at high speed along the wire. "Get back here!" Gohan demanded and chased after him. Soon, Buu found his quarry hiding behind a rock and Zangya was shocked to see that Buu had found her. Though, not as shocked as he was when she sent an electric current his way. The energy zapped Buu and he fell off the wire in a pink puddle. Gohan gathered up some ki in his hand and thrust it at Buu, but in a stream of pink, he fled away from Gohan and Zangya, reforming a great distance away.

Gohan was breathing heavily and Zangya flew over to him. "I'm sorry Gohan, I was trying to stay hidden so he wouldn't catch on."

"Heh, well you did a good job. Looks like he wasn't able to realize it was your wires till just now."

"Yeah, they're pretty hard to counter if you don't know they're there. I figured he'd have to consciously let the wires pass through him, which he couldn't if he wasn't even aware of them"

"Well, to be honest, I wasn't even sure what was happening at first. It was a good plan. Thanks for the help." He offered sincerely.

"Well, looks like you needed it." She remarked on Gohan's battered state.

Gohan shrugged the comment off. "Did supreme Kai tell you anything about how to free my dad?"

"Tch, no." She said bitterly. "He doesn't think this can be reversed. Completely worthless."

Gohan looked down. He knew what needed to be done, but he had held out hope that he would find another way.

"Zangya, I have to kill him." His voice was heavy with regret.

"What? No, Gohan, what about you're dad? Just because Shin says he doesn't know how, doesn't mean it's impossible! We can still save him."

"I don't know how much longer I can hold him off. If you hadn't shown up, I'd be dead already. If I die, I doubt there is anyone else who can stop him." He wasn't being arrogant, it was just a simple fact. Buu was near indestructible and with Goku's skills and additional power, there was no hope for the universe. "Our only chance is to destroy him now."

"No! I won't let you do this to yourself!" Zangya yelled. "We can still save him, I know it!"

"At what cost Zangya?" Gohan replied calmly. "I'm not going to sacrifice the universe just to have my happy ending. Please don't try and make me."

"Gohan…" Zangya didn't know what else she could say. She didn't care about the universe, she cared about him. Him and his happiness. "There has to be another way."

"I wish there were." Saying these things hurt him more than Buu ever could. "It's like dad said. you can't always save everyone."

"But look at you, can you even do it? You've already used up so much energy, even for you."

"Yeah, I don't think I have enough in me for another Atomic Kamehameha, but there might be another attack that could work. I'll need your help though. Remember that move we talked about?"

Zangya nodded. "Yeah, but are you sure that will work?"

"It will. You've never let me down before. I doubt you will now. Just make sure you're out of the line of fire, ok?"

"…" The Hera hesitated.

"Ok?" He asked louder.

"O-ok."

"Good." Gohan nodded. "Now let's finish this." Despite his resolve, his voice was heavy with regret.

Gobuu was observing the pair from a distance. At first, he was scared that the lack of control might have been due to Goku's interference. When he realized it was just the girl and her wires, he calmed down a bit. Still, even if he knew what to expect, that didn't make things any easier. Gohan was still putting up a fight and while he was slowly weakening, the presence of the girl might just make the difference for the teen. 'Should I kill the girl first then?' He asked himself. 'No, that might just sign my death warrant. Don't want to give Gohan the motivation or the power he needs to actually kill me. Guess that means he goes first.'

He jumped up and landed halfway toward Gohan. He said something to Zangya and the girl hopped off to the side. Gobuu smiled. "This distance should be good." He dropped to a low stance and cupped his hands at his side. Gohan did the same and Gobuu laughed. "HAHAHA! You want to finish this with a beam struggle!?" He shouted but got no response. "You're funeral! Kaaameeee…"

"Kaaameeee…" Gohan mimicked Buu.

"Haaaa… Meeeee…"

"Haaaa… Meeeee…"

Bothe warriors had gathered an enormous amount of energy in their hands.

""HAAAAAAAAAAAA!""

All at once the energy burst forth and the beams clashed right in the middle of the two. Both attacks looked equal in power and neither one gaining ground on the other.

"IMPRESSIVE KID!" Buu shouted over the noise. "I didn't realize you had this much power left! Too bad it's not nearly enough! RAAAAH!" The Majin put more into his attack to overcome Gohan, but to his surprise, Gohan increased his attack by even more and the beam started to go toward Buu. In a panic, he tried to draw up more energy, but the opposing blast continued to overpower his own.

"W-what is this! There's no way he still has this much power!" He tried to push forward but noticed something hanging from his wrist. This brief distraction allowed Gohan to gain more ground and Buu started to slide back before he refocused.

Zangya was off to the side like Gohan had told her, with her arms outstretched, one in the direction of Gohan, and the other toward Buu. She and Gohan had discussed the possibility of using the psycho thread to redirect energy rather than simply stealing it. They thought it could come in handy for combining not only the power of their allies, but also using the enemy's own strength against them. Now they were putting that theory to the test by siphoning off Buu's Ki and routing it over to Gohan.

"That-That filthy wench! Try and steal my power will you!?" Buu was livid as he was losing the beam struggle. "F-fine! Take it! TAKE IT ALLLLLLLLLLL!" Not bothering to hold back anymore, his aura burst and the wires that were on him burned off from power overload and Zangya lost control of her technique due to the surge. Now she could neither take, nor give energy and Gohan was on his own. At the same time, Buu's attack grew far bigger and it quickly began to push back the beam struggle.

Pushing with all he had, Gohan tried to fight the overpowering force of Buu, but it was in vain. A blue wave of energy barreled over him.

"GOHAAAAAN!" Zangya yelled helplessly.

Break

Zangya looked on in disbelief. "G-gohan?" She called. "Gohan!" she tried louder, but he didn't come. She couldn't sense his energy at all. "Gohan come on, stop playing around! It isn't funny! IT ISN'T FUNNY!" She yelled and tears streamed from her eyes. "GOHAN! GOHAN COME OUT NOW!" She ran over to the trench and jumped in. "GOHAN!? STOP HIDING! THERE'S NO WAY YOU LOST!" She turned every which way in sheer desperation. "GOHAAAN! COME OUT NOOOWW! YOU PROMISED! YOU PROMISED YOU WOULDN'T DIE ON ME! YOU PROMISED!" she screamed until her voice became hoarse. She looked down and her tears started to water the ground at her feet. "You promised me…"

Buu looked at this display of hysterics with an odd look. It couldn't really be called sympathy, nor was it confusion. There was something about the cries of the girl that resonated with a part of him, and he didn't know why. Whatever it was, he was no longer in the mood to kill the girl. "Farewell Gohan. I couldn't have asked for a better fight. He turned around to leave, but his eyes widened as he sensed a sudden spike in power behind him.

"Give him back." He turned and saw Zangya with her head down and fists clenched. She was emitting a powerful aura that reeked of danger. "Didn't you hear me?" She growled and looked up at Buu. The look in her eyes was so fierce, so wild and desperate that even Gobuu took a step back. "I said, give him back." Buu didn't answer. "Give him back now! Give him back! GIVE ME BACK MY GOHAN!" In a single move she crossed the distance between her and Gobuu and landing a hit that floored the monster. "YOU TOOK HIM FROM ME!" She grabbed his neck and started to pound his face in. "I WAN'T HIM BACK! I WANT HIM BACK NOW!"

Recovering from the shock of her sudden attack, Buu lengthened his antenna and wrapped it around her neck and lifted her off. Before he could fling her away, she grabbed onto the pink appendage and yanked him toward her so hard that his head rammed into her fist. Using his antenna to flail him around, she hit him against the ground and banged him against any rocks that were still around. "DIE YOU PINK B*****D! DIE AND SEND HIM BACK TO ME!" She reeled him back in and smashed his face in with her knee before driving him into the ground with her fist.

Buu didn't know how Zangya became so powerful. Maybe it was because he had been weakened by his bout with Gohan, maybe Zangya had tapped into some hidden power. Whatever it was, he knew that he had no chance against her wrath in his current state. She gathered Ki in both her hands but before she could fire, Buu became a wave of pink slime and washed over her.

"GGRREEEAAAAAAAHHHH!" Zangya fired her attack and instead of absorbing her, the pink wad became a dome shape as it expanded like a bubble. The blast ripped a hole in the goo and Zangya shot out of it before quickly turning around and firing continuous Ki blasts at Buu. "HRREEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYAAAA!" Ki bomb after bomb rained down on the area, creating a dome of fire and energy. The dome grew bigger and bigger until it nearly engulfed Zangya herself. Not caring for the danger, she kept firing. At last, she put two ands to her side and gathered as much Ki as she could. "WHERE IS HE BUUUU! TELL ME WHEEEEEEEERRE!" She fired and all around her was engulfed in the explosion.

When the light cleared, Zangya was still in the air, though her skin showed some damage from her own blast. There was now another significant change in the landscape. Zangya's attack actually melted the ground into a pool of molten lava. She looked down at the glowing liquid, breathing heavily. She caught her breath and then started yelling again. "GET OUT HERE BUU! WE AREN'T DONE YET! GET OUT HERE AND GIVE HIM BACK!" She charged another ball of ki and hurled it into the lava, causing an eruption and the molten rock rained from the sky. She charged another attack but before she fired, Buu jumped out of the fiery lake and tried to make a run for it. "Oh no you don't!" She chased after him and grabbed hold of his ankle. "You don't get to leave!" She threw him to the ground. "You don't get to LIVE!" She stomped on his neck. "The only thing you get to do is bring my Gohan BACK!" She lifted her foot to stomp down again but Buu was too quick and he took off into the air. Her wild eyes narrowed and she raised her hands over her head. "This is for Gohan! MASENKOOOOO…" She lined her shot up perfectly with the fleeing Majin. "HAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" The yellow wave washed over Gobuu and he screamed. "GREAAAAAAAAHHH!"

Zangya's legs trembled and she finally collapsed to her knees. Tears started to fall once more and even though she heard the sound of a body hitting the ground, she couldn't be bothered to care. "Give him back." She heaved a dry sob. She stayed on the ground a few minutes weeping softly.

"You…" Zangya turned at the sound of Gobuu's voice and glared. "You and Gohan really are full of surprises. You had me worried there for a minute. But looks like your charge is spent. I'm sorry that I can't grant your request. But I can send you to him if you like."

Zangya got up shakily and put up her hands to fight. Her grief induced frenzy had come to an end. Weakened and drained, she readied herself for whatever might come.

"STOP!" Both, fighters turned to see Shin land. "You will not harm another while I'm alive Buu?"

"Get your worthless self out of my sight." Zangya growled. "Like you said, you can't do anything anyway."

Instead of answering, he walked over to stand between Zangya and Buu. The majin laughed. "BAHAHAHA! You want to die shorty?"

"I have been cowering long enough. I will not let you do as you please anymore!"

"I don't want your help." Zangya said plainly. "Get out of here."

"No Zangya, it is you that must get out of here. Your strength is more necessary than I am. You must find a way to destroy him no matter what. I will hold him off as long as I can."

"So what, ten seconds?"

Before he could respond, a pink hand impacted the side of Shin's head and smashed him into the ground. "Make that one." Buu picked the kai up and dangled him by the head. "It would have been less, but I wanted to know what he was thinking." Tossing away the limp body, Buu turned his attention back to Zangya. "You may have gotten the better of me just now, but you won't do so again. Even if you ran away to get help, even if you trained all year. I'll still catch you and kill you."

"I'm not running." She was honestly too tired to. 'I guess I'll see you in a little bit Gohan.'

"Good. Makes the shot that much easier." In his hand, he charged his ki and stretched it out to his opponent.

'Maybe when we're dead I'll be able to tell you how I feel.' She smiled at the thought and almost welcomed death now. She closed her eyes and the pink energy shot towards her.

"NO!" Shin yelled. The Hera opened her eyes and was surprised to see Shin was standing in between her and Buu's beam. Somehow, he was able to keep the attack at bay.

"You idiot! What are you doing! I told you I don't want your help!"

"I-I don't care!" Shin had his hands stretched forth and was mumbling some spell under his breath to keep the beam away. "Allow me to at least atone for my mistakes by saving you. Please, get out of here!"

Buu laughed. "Oh, man! This is adorable. I'm actually impressed that you can hold this back, even if it is only a little thing. Let's turn up the heat then." The beam grew in size and Shin's arms began to buckle under the pressure. Zangya didn't know why she was bothering. After all, she had resigned herself to death anyway. Perhaps she didn't want to let someone else die for her today. Or maybe it was her desire to help the helpless. Or maybe she just couldn't shake the thought of what Gohan would do. No matter the reason, Zangya stretched out her hands over Shin's shoulders and fired a beam of her own. "HAAAA!"

Buu stopped laughing as he was pushed back. "Still have some fight left I see. That's just fine by me!" He brought his other hand up to add to the blast. "HRAAAAGH!" The Supreme Kai was forced back into Zangya, but still they pushed back. Unfortunately, Zangya was nearly drained already and even combined, their strength was no match for Buu. "HA!" With a final push, Gobuu overcame their defenses and they, along with his beam, shot off into the sky. He watched as they flew away, until with a twinkle, he felt both their energy disappear.

"Hoooo." Gobuu sighed. "Well, that was fun. Now what else can I do." He looked off into the distance and a sadistic smile graced his face. "Oh right. Payback." And with that, Buu joyfully took off to the east.

End chapter.

Well… Looks like the universe is screwed.

I will say one thing about the atomic Kamehameha. I know there is already an attack called that but This one works differently. If you are interested, Gohan, being smart and understanding physics, thought that maybe you could split Ki particles like you split atoms. This causes an enormous amount of energy to be released and Gohan uses his mastery of Ki control to channel that power in one direction. But energy is not the same as matter you say? Well yeah, but this is a work of fiction and anime science applies here.

If anyone is wondering why Gohan's darker side didn't come out, there are actually two reasons. He has spent the last year training and meditating with the purpose of keeping the demon at bay. He still gets mad, but he doesn't let that overcome him. Second reason is he came out against Broly only because the fight was so hopeless and Gohan let him take control. This fight rough on him, but he still felt he had a fighting chance until the end.

Any other questions, please ask them. I will either respond in a PM or in the opening A/N
