So… it's been two months since my last update. I am really sorry for keeping you all waiting and I have an unfortunate announcement to make. New Titans is being put on hold. Maybe permanently. I just have too much going on in my life right now from college to job hunting to dealing with my mental health (which is always fun). But I do have some stuff to offer and say. However, first I'll respond to some reviews…

I have an idea if you do the justice league series, the league encounter a hero name triumph who they want on the league but aquaman thinks there is something off with him which turns out to be right when he turns out to be a villain who staged his own disasters and at the end he is defeated but his prison transport has been hijacked where he is killed by his employer.

Vandal savage.

Not a fan of that idea. One, you completely missed the point of Triumph in the comics to the point where he's no longer Triumph so why even call him that? Two, I don't like the "villain who pretends to be a hero by staging his own disasters" plot since it's been done so many times and there's nothing interesting here. Aquaman is suspicious, his suspicions are validated, and the villain is defeated. That's all. It's such a stock plot. And third, it goes against what I already have planned for Vandal Savage in this universe. He wouldn't do something like this and his inclusion just comes across as pointless.

Will heroes from team titans appear like mirage,

Night rider, Batallion, red wing, and prestor Jon.

I don't like the Team Titans. I find them to be forgettable 90s characters and I especially dislike Mirage for having sex with Nightwing under false pretenses by pretending to be Starfire. You know what's that called? It's called rape. However, the Team Titans were still planned to appear in New Titans… as an alternate universe counterpart to the Titans. I'm drawing inspiration from the tie-in comics to the animated series and one issue reveals that the show's version of Kilowat is from an alternate universe. When he was in grave danger, he called out for help and Raven somehow heard him from across the multiverse so she saved him by pulling Kilowat into her universe. Eventually, she managed to find a way to send Kilowat back home. I did plan to adapt this storyline and have the Team Titans make a cameo back in Kilowat's original universe. Besides that, I don't have a desire to do too much with them.

And that's all for reader questions. The next thing that I have to share with you is two scenes from my outlines that were adapted by a friend of mine, dylanbiancamano. He was initially going to adapt all of New Titans, but cancelled those plans for understandable reasons. However, I asked if he could at least adapt a couple scenes of my choosing and he was more than happy to do so. And I really liked how they came out, he especially had a great way of writing the back-and-forth between characters. A huge thanks to him for writing these scenes and his support. He's a great guy and a great writer. Hope you enjoy what he came up with.

Raven blew out a cleansing breath as she approached the McCay had mentioned. As she approached, two things became apparent about her. Firstly, from the way she was hooving down bowls of soup, and rather slovenly if Raven was being honest, she was definitely hungry. And secondly, she was mistrustful. The second one would have been less apparent to anyone else, but Raven had been training with the world's second greatest detective for the past few months and she had managed to pick up a few skills herself.

Her observations were thus: The girl was jealously guarding her food, as if afraid someone would steal it. She was sitting with her back to the wall but within dashing distance of the exits just in case. And every time another person made a loud noise or banged against something, she would pause like a dog sensing a squirrel. All that added up to someone who probably didn't want to be bothered.

And wouldn't you know it, Raven was about to be a bother.

She took another breath and approached the blonde cautiously, putting on her best smile.

"Hi," Raven said in a cheerful tone. Well, cheerful for Raven.

The girl paused with a spoon halfway to her mouth and stared for a long moment at Raven.

"I'm Rachel, a volunteer here at the kitchen," Raven persevered, though she was afraid the conversation was over before it began.

After another moment or two the girl blinked and shook her head. "Uh, hi!" she finally said, possibly louder than intended. "I'm, uh, Tara."

Raven noted a slight accent in the girl's voice, eastern European, possibly Dutch? But it was very faint. 'So she's run a long way from home,' Raven thought.

"Can I sit?" Raven asked with a smile.

"Oh! Sure."

Raven took the seat across from Tara. The blonde's eyes never once broke from her until she was firmly seated. Then she went back to devouring her soup.

"So," Raven began. "You live in town?" 'Great state Rae.'

"Nope, just passing through. I heard California had great beaches, so I thought I might catch some waves." It was a quick deflection but Raven was not one to be discouraged once she began something.

"Really? I'm new in town too. I used to live in this church actually."

"You the pastor's daughter or something?"

"No! I wish. No. He's just a family friend. He put me up when I had no place to go. He was a friend of my mother's actually." Raven looked over her shoulder so see if McCay was listening. When she was certain he was properly distracted, she leaned in to speak conspiratorially to Tara. "But I suppose he's the closest thing to a positive father figure I've ever had."

Unbounded to Raven, across the room, McCay smiled slightly before returning to his previous task.

Tara slurped down her bowl of soup and gave a sigh of satisfaction. "That hit the spot. Let me guess, your real dad's a piece of shit, right?"

Raven raised her eyebrow "That obvious, huh?"

"I can tell from experience," Tara said quite bluntly. "I know a runaway when I see one."

"You're very perceptive. Do you have a place to stay? I can vouch for Pastor McCay, he'd be more than willing to put you up."

"Kind of you to offer, but no thanks. I've been homeless for a few years now and I'm not half bad at it. Besides, like I said, I'm only here for the beaches. I'll be moving on after a few days."

Raven raised an eyebrow at this and Tara realized the deflection probably wouldn't work a second time.

Tara picked at the hem of her worn shirt. "Look, I appreciate the offer. Really I do, but things…" She paused and the sure facade she had had up for the beginning of the conversation began to abate. "Things tend to turn out badly."

Raven's expression softened a bit. Maybe McCay was right about them having a lot in common.

"Well, I won't force you to do anything Tara, but I will say that Jump is a great city, full of good people. It's where I made the friends I'm currently living with, actually. People who…" Raven searched for the right words. People who she admired, who she loved? Maybe not that word, they did get on her nerves all the time after all, but they were still a warm harbor for her in the raging sea that was her life.

"Friends who I honestly never expected to make in a million years. And not to be too forward about it, but I know a lonely kid when I see one."

Blue eyes peeked through Tara's sheet of blonde hair. "How can you tell that?"

"I'm really good at reading people," Raven shrugged with a smile. "It's my super power."

Tara scoffed out a chuckle and rolled her eyes. "Okay, Zatanna."

Raven chuckled in her raspy way and soon Tara joined in with a rather husky chuckle herself.

But Tara couldn't help but smile. "Thanks for coming over to talk to me, most people tend to ignore me. Or proposition me."

Raven's eyes widened.

"Don't worry, I'm very good at dissuading them," she said, patting herself on her almost non existent bicep, which did little to abate Raven's concern. "But maybe I'll consider planting my flag in the church. If other Jumpers are like you, I might just stick around after all."

"Well you were right, there are some great beaches here."

"Right, like you've ever been to a beach," Tara said, gesturing to Raven's incredibly fair skin.

Raven gasped in fake offense. "Rude."

Yet both girls still laughed.

Raven entered Tara's room and found no one within. She checked her phone, rereading the message Tara sent her only minutes earlier.

Tara: Can you come to my room please? I need your advice on something.

"Tara?" Raven called out.

Raven jumped back as she heard a loud bang come from the adjacent closest.

"Rae!" came Tara's voice from beyond the sliding door. "Ah! Sorry just finishing up the final touches now."

"Uh, can I ask what you're doing in the closet?"

Tara chuckled nervously. "Well, I was thinking, since I'm going to be going on missions now, I needed a costume. Cause, well, you can't be a 'costumed adventurer' without one."

Raven nodded. "Makes sense."

"And, well." Raven could hear the nerves even though the wood of the closest door. "I just wanted your thoughts on it I suppose."

Raven smiled slightly. "Alrighty then, but you know how brutally honest I can be."

"Raven!" Tara whined.

"Oh I'm joking, you can trust me." She raised one hand and placed the other over her heart, more for her since Tara couldn't see her through the wall. "I promise that I will give you a kind yet fair appraisal of your new costume."

A moment passed before Raven heard yet more rustling from beyond the door. "Okay, I'm coming out!"

The door slid open and Tara strutted out and struck 'the Superman Pose' as Gar had called it. Her costume, as it was, consisted of a brown leotard, possibly the exact brand that Raven wore for her costume, albeit cut for a much svelter frame. Beyond that, Tara had her lengthy hair up in a ponytail and was sporting thick leather gloves and a utility belt with many, many pouches. To top it all off she had a black domino mask, slightly different form the one Robin would wear as it didn't obstruct Tara's eyes.

"Well, what do you think?" Despite her heroic pose, Raven could see her visibly shaking from embarrassment. After a second or two her resolve wavered and she shrank into her usual guarded stance.

"I, uh, kind of based it off of yours," Tara said, a bashful expression on her face. "I hope you don't mind. Well honestly I took a bit of inspiration from everyone. Gar's gloves, and Rob's mask and belt. I guess I should have come up with something a little more original."

"Tara?"

"Yes."

"I think you look like a superhero," Raven said with a smile.

Tara's face began to heat up, which she promptly his behind her ponytail. "Thanks, Rae."

"But!" Raven said firmly, pointing up and causing Tara to jump back a bit. "A costume is only half of the magic. Now that you have hidden your identity from the world, you must invent a new identity for them to know you by." Raven waved her hand through the air dramatically as she said this.

Raven then shrugged. "Or something like that, I dunno. Rob had this whole speech but I mostly didn't pay attention."

Both girls chuckled and Raven noted Tara's tension melting away at the much needed levity.

"Point is," she continued. "You gotta pick a codename. Preferably something you can easily shout, like no more than three syllables."

"So the Radical and Rambunctious, Rock 'n' Roller is out, I guess?" Tara asked with a shrug. "I actually did have an idea. I was thinking Terra. It's simple, and, I mean, pretty on the money when it comes to my powers."

Raven nodded in approval. "It's perfect. And so is the costume."

Tara turned around and for the first time observed herself in her closet mirror. She struck her heroic pose again, and she didn't shake.

She really did look like a superhero.

So one last thing that I have to share. Because of how unlikely it is that I'm going to finish New Titans or get to all of my plans, I am willing to answer ANY question that you may have. Regardless of spoilers. This is due to all of the loose threads that I have left hanging. My bad. So if you want any closure or just want to know where I was going with certain plotlines, feel free to ask. There's no limit to questions either. You all deserve this much. I planned a total of eight seasons in advance, so I can answer your questions in pretty good detail as well. Once again, I'm just sorry that this may be it. Real life has just taken too much of a toll on me. This is it for now, but seriously hit me up with your questions. You can even send me a PM if you want the answers to your questions sooner. I hope to hear from you all and give you the answers you want to the mysteries of New Titans. I do feel unbelievably bad for this though.
