The best and the worst of times

Chapter 38

"I seem to be Doctor thinking a lot about Loreile and what she does to me at times. She can make me feel putty when we are together. Otherwise, I am different when she is not while I am working on a case." Gibbs needed to say to the doctor and with having been a long session.

"I must say Gibbs you're changed a great deal during the past few years? I do hope that you're going to continue to progress for the rest of your life?" Doc said with Gibbs smiling.

"That's because I allowed myself to change for the better. There had been a number of others like the idea and one of them was Bishop always worried about me whenever I had been emotionally hurt and vice versa."

"And since Bishop was worried about you. What was your judgment for when you're able to find out about Bishop and Torres getting together as a couple even though you had to burn up a number of your rules?" She needed to say to her patient.

"I needed to do it Doctor or else I would have lost them just as I did with Ziva and Tony early on until the both of them had left NCIS for good. I still miss them a great deal with the both working great as a team in spite of their differences."

"When do you plan on going to see them in Paris?" She asks.

"Good question with so much going on with the wedding, Loreile's pregnancy, and getting back to work at NCIS. I have spoken to them over the phone especially with talking to Tali to be such a smart little girl in every way." Gibbs needed to say with the pride showing on his face.

"Maybe your children will be the same way Jethro?" she cried out to have Gibbs chuckling.

"No doubt they will be Doctor Confalone. But first one child at a time," he states with a chuckle again to make him feel better.

"However I wouldn't be surprised even though there is no history of twins down the line?"

"But your wife already knows with this child is going to be a boy no doubt to be three of a kind for the family?" she made the suggestion.

He laughed at the possibility of Loreile going for a fourth child and no doubt be a boy once again. "I am a lucky man doc after the history I had with my past?" he cried out.

"That was the past and now your future is brightly ahead of you, Gibbs. However, you need to stop with the obsession for when it comes to the job and the criminals coming after you all of the time? Understand what I am trying to do in the first place?

"Actually yeah I do Doctor. Right now I have a lot to think about once you leave here," he said with a tone that she hated coming from him.

"All I want you to do while you're here in the hospital is take it easy and relax," she suggested with the order.

"Sure," Gibbs responded with watching her getting up from the chair to leave while packing up her things.

"Good Gibbs, I will check in with you in a few days depending on whether the doctors will be sending you home instead?" she says with patting him on his shoulder before walking out of the room.
