Ch 38 Christmas with the Family Pt 2
Jane filled her plate with mashed potatoes before handing it over to Hermione. "Thanks, Jane," Hermione thanked her friend before passing it to her father.
The sound of both Arthur and her mother shouting, their shouting has a sense of shock coming from it. "Was that Mum?" Jamie asked the table, hearing her voice too.
"It's Dad too," Ron added,
Molly stood up from her seat, walking to see what's going on out there. "Arthur? What's going on out there?" She was an inch away from exiting the door when a woman with black horns appeared before her. "SWEET MERLIN!" She jumped.
Everybody within the room stood from their seats seeing the Beast in front of them. "WHAT THE BLOODY HELL IS THAT THING!? Ginny gasps, stepping back.
Moody was mad enough to pull out his wand, aiming it at the Primordial Goddess. "Everyone! I will handle this beast and-"
Lily quickly moves to the side and held out her hands. "STOP! STOP! She's not a threat!"
"THE HELL YOU MEAN NOT A THREAT!?" Moody demanded of Lily, questioning if she'd gone mad.
Jane points at the being, tilting her head. "SHE HAS HORNS, MUM! SHE'S CLEARLY-"
"Ritsuka's adopted mother," Arthur walks to the side,
"WWWWWWHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTTTT!?" Everyone exclaims, hearing the Goddess before them was Ritsuka's mother in all except for blood.
Tiamat smiles at the shocked Wizards in the room. "Laaaa!" She greeted them all.
Ron looks to Hermione, not getting what she said. "D-Did she sang?" he asked his friend.
"H-How am I supposed to know what she's saying!?" Hermione retorted back at him. "I'm just learning about this today!"
The red-haired boy looks at Jane and Jamie who shook their heads. "Nope, nada!" Jane answered.
"I'm just shocked as all of you!" Jamie responded.
The sounds of footsteps came behind the rather big woman. "She said hello." Kingu appeared, walking over to a chair. "Mother can't speak as you humans do, only those close to her can understand." He huffed, leaning back in the chair.
Everyone looks at the green-haired man, leaning in the once empty. "Uh…who are you?" Ginny glares at the Lancer Servant.
Kingu opens his one eye, seeing the human that is sexually attracted to his little brother. "Lancer, I'm Ritsuka's brother." He informed the red-haired bitch.
"How rude, that's no way to speak to your sister-in-law!" Ginny huffed glaring at the Child of Tiamat. "You should learn your place!" she looks down at him.
The Lancer glares at the girl who dares to speak to him like she's higher than him. "Oh? The little girl is trying to place her dominance on a being such as me?" He chuckles evilly causing everyone to be wary of him.
He walks up to the girl, glaring down at her with piercing eyes. "Is that supposed to intimidate me? Because it's not working, you green-haired freak." She growls, hiding the fear deep within her.
"Ohohoho, you have no idea who you are talking to." Kingu's hand started to spark, electric currents flow down to his right arm.
"Oh yeah? What are you going to do? Kill me?" Ginny laughs thinking he won't do a thing, he was just doing some big shot talk to scare her.
Tiamat remains quiet, disliking how this Ginny is speaking to her eldest son. Thankfully, she had her youngest child place a Command Seal on her; preventing her to attack whenever someone is making fun of him or any personal relation to him due to her matronal instincts to protect.
"N-Now, now, that's enough squabbling you two." Molly steps in, seeing the current running down his arm. Whatever that is, isn't a good sign to mess with.
"Mrs. Weasley's right, Lancer stand down." A familiar voice orders the Lancer Servant.
Kingu huffed, letting his power rest. "Fine, Saber. I'll stand down for now." He walks back to his seat where Tiamat joins him happily.
"Laaaa," Tiamat thanked the Saber behind her.
"You're welcome Beast, now shall we get to eating? I'm starving." The Saber said, walking out of Tiamat's behind.
James blinks, remembering the sound of his voice, "It can't be, Father?" The Auror Captain asked to be sure it's him, the sight of a man in a white suit and the Potter's untamed hair is enough to confirm his suspicion. "What are you doing here?" He asked his father, not noticing the slight age difference.
"Grandfather! You're here!" Jamie bounces up, happy to see his grandparent.
"Yep, I'm Charlie Potter," Charlie chuckles, sitting in the empty seat next to Ron. "Oh? Two grandsons, two granddaughters? By the root, I'm getting old though…heh, even though I can't." He jokes.
Jane looks closer at her 'grandfather' finally noticing the minor details about him. "Grandfather, you're…young," She said after seeing the full scale of his appearance. "And what's with your hair?"
James and Jamie look closer seeing what Jane saw. "Yeah, Grandfather what's with that hair job-"
"Let me guess, you're Ritsuka's Servant, aren't you?" James asked, deciding to humor himself. "Hahahahaha, ah, that's a good joke in my book; right Father?" He sighs, hearing no laughter
Charlie looks at his 'son' and smiles, James, Sirius, and Remus blinks. That smile he gave is just a confirmation. "SWEAT MERLIN YOU ARE HIS SERVANT!" James exclaims, finally getting that in his brain.
"B-But how is this possible? It shouldn't be possible!" Sirius asked, still wrapping his head around Ritsuka having a mother other than Lily. Now that a young-looking Charles Potter is here, this is getting weirder and weirder for them.
Remus rubs his forehead; he was getting a massive headache trying to find an explanation on how Charles looks this young. "This is so confusing? There's only one way to retain youth and it's just a legend!" he exclaims, knowing the legend of the fountain of youth.
Jamie looks at his grandfather, smiling at their confusion. "Hey Grandfather, can you explain how you were able to gain your youth?"
"I believe that's Ritsuka's responsibility, he's the master after all." Charlie smiles, not acting like the Charles Potter in this world. "I'm simply here for the ride!"
They all looked at him, unsure how to feel about the man. "Geez Charlie, you're causing so much confusion for them." The Saber looks back, seeing his Grandson walking in with his wife.
Charlie chuckles, waving his hand at him. "Sorry, sorry, I do like fooling around like this. I mean you know me, my beloved Grandson!" He grins.
Ritsuka sighs, that he's still the fun and loving Grandfather he knows back when he's young. "Yeah I know," He looks at the Order with an apologetic expression. "I'm sorry everyone, Charlie here is a carefree person, regardless of the situation."
"True that," Charlie commented.
Everybody saw Ritsuka standing near the entrance, not noticing Mashu or Romani in the background. "RITSUKA!"
"HARRY!" Ginny exclaims, seeing the love of her life.
James looks at his 'son', happy to see him here during the Holidays. "Ritsuka, I'm happy that you're here but-"
"Can you explain why Charles Potter is here!?" Sirus asked, still shock to see a young version of his father figure.
Jane nodded, "And how is it he's so young? He was an elderly man and now…"
"He's around your age." Hermione finished, sharing the same question as everyone else.
Ritsuka scratches his head, a bit unprepared to answer them. "Um, well in short; back home the Charles Potter of my world died from old age and when I was preparing to Summon another Spirit to be a Servant. Charlie here is the most compatible for that Spirit so, yeah a Pseudo-Servant." He tries to make the Heroic Spirit Ritual as brief as possible, due to the regulation.
Tonks was processing what he just said, "S-So, the Charles of your world is dead and a Spirit that will become your Servant upon summoning has combined with him?" She asked before throwing her head back. "MERLIN THIS IS CONFUSING!"
Ritsuka and the Chaldeans chuckle at their confusion. "It took me some time too to understand the workings of Pseudo-Servants, there's a lot that serves under me. You met some already, Archer, Lancer, Lancer, Saber, and Caster." He informs the Order.
"So you carelessly summon these Spirits to serve you?" Moody said, suspicion hinted in his tone of voice. "Talk about a dark art." He scoffs.
"Alister! That's enough!" Remus defended his 'nephew' from the retired Auror.
James held his head, trying to understand. "Merlin, this…this is intriguing and
Ginny got up and ran over to the Magus, about to hug him. "Oh forget about that boring stuff," She said happily,
Ritsuka steps to the side, avoiding her charge. "Hello, Ginny. Merry Christmas." he greeted her, feeling uncomfortable around her.
"Come now Harry, don't be shy." Ginny approached the master. "Just admit your love for me and ditch that bitch and-"
Romani and Abigal's cries echo throughout the dining room. Ginny covers her ears, hatting the sound of infants crying. "Merlin, I hate brats crying! Piped that stupid-"
"GINEVRA MOLLY WEASLEY! I DID NOT RAISE YOU TO HATE INNOCENT BABIES!" Molly scolded her daughter for saying such a rude comment,
Jane had enough with her stuck-up attitude. "What's your problem? You're being a selfish person who thinks that the world revolves around you!" she spoke out her mind.
"(JANE! What are you doing!?)" Hermione questioned her actions.
Ginny glares at Jane, always hating how she's trying to stand up against her. "Oh shut up Jane, you don't understand since you aren't dating anyone, especially a famous one." She stated.
"Dating is like a duel; the lady must stand above the rest to be the best. Me and Harry here is a perfect example of how a couple is like. Right, Harry?" Ginny looks over to her lover, only to be gone. "Harry?" she looks over to the side where Mashu was standing.
Everyone looks at the Magus, tending to something or someone with the violet-haired girl. "Who is she?" Tonks asked, never seeing someone like her around.
"Shhh, it's alright Romani." Ritsuka took his son out of his wife's hands,
Mashu rubs her hands on Romani's back, soothing him to stop crying. "There, there, everything is fine, baby." She soothes her son.
Romani's head appeared over his father's shoulder, still crying after hearing a vulgar word. "I-Is that!?" Sirus gasps seeing the similarities between the Potter males.
"A BABY!?" Jamie exclaims, also seeing the resembles between the toddler and his 'brother'.
Remus looks at James and Lily expecting a shock knowing that they are now grandparents. However, instead of a shocked expression, they were cooing over him at his big blue sapphire eyes cleared from tears.
"Do you two already know about Ritsuka's son?" Remus looks at his long-time friends.
James looks over to the werewolf, shrugging his shoulder. "Both me and Lily found out when Ritsuka needs a babysitter." He explains to his friend. "We were surprised as well when we first saw Romani, but after some bonding time with him. He's such a well-behaved for a toddler!" He smiles, looking back at the child.
Ginny's eyes twitched, her rage is boiling within her. The happy expression she saw on Harry's when he's with this woman and her son, it's making her envious and resentful of the happy family. "Tch, WHY ARE YOU SUCKING UP TO THIS LITTLE BITCH!" Ginny placed her hand on her chest.
"I'M THE PERFECT WOMAN FOR YOU! I'M BEAUTIFUL, SMART, COURAGEOUS, AND I'M POW-" A slap echoes throughout the dining room. Ginny held onto her cheeks, seeing Ritsuka standing before her. "W-W-W-"
"I had enough of you talking about my family like that," Ritsuka said coldly.
Ginny looked at her lover in shock, his eyes were glaring down at her with no emotion. "H-Harry, why did you do that to your girl-"
"You aren't my girlfriend, you're just a nuisance who only thinks for herself," Ritsuka stated, still giving her a cold glare. He then chuckles slightly, "You know? I pity you, you have so much potential and yet you waste it all on being a spoiled princess,"
"H-How-"
Ritsuka turns his back at Ginny, walking over to Mashu and Romani. "Harry, don't be like that!" Ginny steps forward, trying her best to reason with him until Molly steps forward. "Mum!? What are you-"
"Ginevra Weasley, go to your room," Molly demanded of her daughter. "I will not have you ruin this once a year gathering!" she scolded her.
Ginny was appalled that her mother would do something like this to her. "Mum! You can't be serious; it's Christmas dinner, family must be together for this!" She reasons with her, trying to convince her to stay.
Arthur agrees with his wife, he was tired of his daughter's snob attitude with other people. "Ginny, listen to your mother. Go to your room and think what you have done, "
"B-But-"Ginny looks around her, seeing the judging and unpleased eyes of the Order of the Phoenix. She then looks at the Chaldeans, not giving their time to deal with this moment. Her brown eyes shift over to Ritsuka, ignoring her eye range. "FINE! I ALWAYS HATED THIS GATHERING!"
Ginny marches out of the dining room not before she looks at Mashu and Romani. "Tch, that bitch I'll show her place soon enough." She huffed, marching to her room.
Molly and Arthur sigh and looked at the small family. "Ritsuka, I'm terribly sorry for how our daughter is acting." Molly apologies to the Magus. "We know that you came here for a nice relaxing holiday."
"And we're sincerely sorry for-"
Ritsuka turns to the Weasley parents, "Don't worry about it, I knew this might happen if I came here." He ensures them that everything's fine.
Mashu nodded, bouncing a calmer Romani. "Ritsuka's right, let's just celebrate another year with friends and family." The former Demi-Servant said to them. "Oh, I'm Mashu Kyirelight Fujimaru, Ritsuka's wife for those who didn't meet me." she lifts Romani for all to see.
"And this is Romani Wodime Fujimaru, our son." Mashu motions the small boy to wave at everyone here.
Romani looks around with uncertain eyes, "H-Hewwo…" he shies away, nuzzling into his mother's arms.
"Awwww," The females' occupations cooed over the toddler's shyness.
Hermione was squealing at the cute face that the toddler. "That's the cutest baby that I've ever seen," she coos, leaning on her chair.
"Geez, Hermione. I know Ritsuka's son is cute but please don't fall off your chair!" Ron begs, hold her back preventing her to fall.
Lily claps her hands together after the whole scene that unfolded. "A-Anyways, Ritsuka, Mashu, why don't you take a seat, and we'll begin dinner alright?" The red-haired mother motions the Chaldeans to take a seat at the table.
Soon enough everyone was enjoying the food that Molly and Lily prepared. "Hey, Ritsuka?" Fred looks at the Magus.
"Yes, Fred?" Ritsuka asked, placing down his utensil down on his plate.
"Why isn't Saber with you? You know the one with the delicious food." Fred asked, seeing no sign of the Pseudo-Servant.
George nodded, wondering the same thing as well. "Now you mention it, I didn't see anyone that came with you."
Moody looked at Ritsuka from what the twins just said, it has piqued the retired Auror's attention. "Care to explain Ritsuka on why you have different Servants?"
"Tch, how about you mind your own business you old coot!" Kingu glares at the Auror, uncaring of the concerned eyes of everyone in the room. Moody glares at the Lancer
Tiamat nudges her eldest son for snapping at the dinner table. "Laaaaa!" the Beast scolded him.
Kingu rolled his eyes, "Fine mother, I'll stop my attitude for now."
Tiamat sighs before delving into the cooked steak on her plate. "Laaa," she looks over to her youngest son.
"It's fine mother," Ritsuka smiles at his mother figure. "I don't mind sharing some important things with them.'
"What important things?" Jamie asked, getting intrigued.
Charlie finished with his drink; he then looks at his other 'grandson'. "Like how we arrived at your dimension." The King of the Franks explains with a wink.
Hermione always had questioned about how Ritsuka and his Servants manage to come here. In the beginning, she always thought interdimensional travel is preposterous, but after meeting Ritsuka that changed. "I always wondered how you were able to come to our world. Did you like using a spell or a special type of Time Turner for interdimensional travel?" She asked.
"Me as well," Remus added, also wanting to know how his 'nephew' has done an impossible feat.
"Mmmm, I can't go into details but in hind short Chaldea's Head of Technology Development Division and an associate have developed a vehicle called the Storm Border that can transverse through reality and space," Ritsuka explains, leaving out the help of Amilia's Outer God powers and Poseidon's Core that generate the Mana for a Dimensional Shift.
"Storm Border. That is one bloody hell and a wicked of a name mate." Ron commented, never hearing a name that sounded so wicked.
Fred and George nodded, agreeing with their little brother that is a sick name. "Where did,"
"you come up,"
"with that name?"
Mashu wipes the baby food from Romani's mouth, "Well it's Da- Caster-chan, she comes up with the names along whin Sion-san." She informs the table.
"Sion? Was that the woman on that rectangular screen?" James asked, remembering the name from somewhere.
Charlie nodded, "Yep, my dear son. Sion is a fellow Chaldean just like us, she helped Ritsuka here when the original Chaldea was destroyed." He informs them.
"Original? What happened that causes your base to be destroyed?" Lily asked, concern if something horrible had happened,
Ritsuka scratches his head, remembering those who didn't survive Anastasia's attack. "Um, let's just say we were victims to a plot that was under our noses." He scratches his head, not wanting to delve into the Lostbelts.
Just on cue, Romani and Abigal yawned. Both their parents look at their respected child, they were picked up by their parents and went into a limp. "I guess they ate too much that went to sleep immediately." James chuckles, bouncing his youngest daughter in his arms.
"I guess you're right," Ritsuka agrees also rocking his son.
Lily stood up from her chair, retrieving her plates. "Ritsuka, if you would Romani can stay in Abigal's room. It's close to yours and ours so they can be together." She smiles at her child and grandson.
Ritsuka looks at Mashu, content with the idea. "Why not, after all, they are already good friends already." He commented.
"Okay, follow me to the bedroom." James motions him to follow him which the master did.
After the two fathers left the dining room with their toddlers, everyone laid their eyes on the violet-haired woman. Tonks leans on her hands, "So, how did you and Ritsuka met? I'm sure it's an interesting tale." The Metamorphmagus smiles at her, wanting all the details.
"Oh, I'm sure it is." Molly commented, "Though, you don't need to feel pressure when telling it, dear."
Tiamat nodded, seeing Mashu as her own daughter. "Laaaaa,"
"Mother is right, don't give in to peer pressure." Kingu crosses his arms, "Ensure that you're comfortable, Mashu." He looks at her,
Mashu shook her head, "Thank you for caring Lancer." Kingu's face blushed at the ensuring smile she gave to him.
Kingu looks away from her gaze, still blushing. "Y-Yeah, well it's nothing."
"What a complete tsundere you are Lancer." Charlie chuckles, eyeing the Weapon of the Gods.
The Lancer huffed, not acknowledging his teasing stare from the King. "Shut up, Saber." he rolled his eyes.
"So, how did you two met?" Hermione asked, wanting to know the story.
"Yeah, yeah, please tell us!" Jamie asked excitedly.
Lily nudges her youngest son for shouting at the table. "Jamie, no yelling at the table." she scolded her son.
Mashu giggles, looking up at the ceiling. "Let's see…I met Ritsuka when he first applied to Chaldea where after a simulation; he fell asleep in the middle of the hallway where Fou…"
Ritsuka places his son in a crib after he changed him into his pajamas. James had helped prepared beforehand when he learned that his family is coming. "Alright, comfortable buddy?" He asked his child.
Fou jumps out of Ritsuka's pocket, landing on the rim of the crib. "Fou,"
Romani crawled around the mattress, getting a good feel of it. he looks at his father wanting him to do something for him. "Daddy, pway?" he asked. He looks over to the Beast, jumping off the rim and into
"Play?" Ritsuka wonders what he means by that. Then he saw him pointing towards the old music box. "Oh, you want me to this music box. I'm not sure-"
"No! Pway, shong." Romani looks at his father, his sapphire eyes were big as a puppy's.
Ritsuka tilts his head before he realized he wants to hear the song Mozart created for him. "Oh, just hold on." He took out his phone and searched for the song. "Here we go." He played the song, letting Romani listen to it. (Shikisai/Maaya Sakamoto Music Box)
"Ritsuka, I just finish-" James stopped hearing a beautiful song.
"Watashi ga miteru mirai wa hitotsu dake."
James watches in awe, never hearing anything beautiful and peaceful like it before. "Ritsuka…"
"Eien nado sukoshi mo hoshiku wa nai" Romani smiles, nuzzling into his father's arms. "Ichibyou isshun ga itooshii anata ga iru sekai ni watashi mo ikiteru." His eyes weight down, closing them, and fell asleep in his arms. (End song)
Ritsuka places his son back inside the crib, watching him curl up into his sleeping ball. He leans down and places a kiss on his chubby cheeks. "Good night, Romani. See you in the morning." He said, turning around and paused.
James was amazed, he felt tears falling from his face. "T-That was beautiful, I never knew you can sing like that." He commented, before letting out a chuckle. "Even Abigal likes it, she was all fussy until we entered the room."
"O-Oh, usually I leave the singing to my Servants. But I do sometimes sing for Romani when he wants a lullaby." Ritsuka smiles down at his son, sleeping soundly.
James chuckles, walking over to the crib next to Romani's. "I can tell, you have a nice set of pipes. Abigal fell right to sleep when we enter this room." He placed her in her crib.
"Thank you, for that James." Ritsuka smiles, never really got a sense of appreciation from his father before.
"So, are you set for tomorrow? We'll be leaving really early in the morning." James informed his 'son' of what to expect tomorrow.
Ritsuka nodded, "So what's my 'grandparents' on Lily's side is like? I haven't met my version, just Charlie." He asked, curious about what they're like.
James thought for a moment, trying to find the words to describe his in-laws. "Well, they're supportive, affectionate to many. In a sense, they're a kind couple." He informs his 'son'.
"Well, I can't wait to meet them," Ritsuka said walking out of the toddlers' room.
"I'm sure they can feel the same way, Lily wrote to them near the beginning of December about you." James went on, closing the door behind him.
Ginny sat in her room, brooding at how the others treated her. She was the girlfriend of the Boy-Who-Lived, the vanquisher of evil, defender of the Wizarding World the one he confessed his feelings to her. If he won't give in to his promise to her then she'll make him remember.
She walks over to the notepad on the side drawer, given to her by Rita. She took her quill and starts to write in it. "Dear Rita, I'm in with the plan…"
The next day Bedivere and Charlotte were packing their master's belongings in the minivan parked outside. "Thank you again for helping with our things you two." Lily smiles at the Servants.
"Of course, it's what we Servants do after all." Charlotte walks overtaking the last luggage from her hands.
Ritsuka and Mashu stood before Charlie, standing on the sidewalk. "Are you sure you don't want to come Charlie-san? It won't be the same without you." Mashu asked the Saber Servant.
The King of the Franks smiles softly. "As much I would love to attend the Evan's dinner party, I have planned this evening with Rider and Lancer. I was able to attend last night because Rider was with the Servants of Black and Lancer was with Ruler." He explains that Astolfo was with the Black faction and Bradamante was with Samba Quetz on the Border.
"So we'll be expecting you at the Potter's Christmas party this Christmas Eve?" Ritsuka asked his grandfather if he can attend the celebration.
Charlie nodded, "Of course! I'll bring Archer, Flat, Saber, Saber, and Lancer with me; I'm sure they'll be overjoyed to attend." He said cheerfully.
Ritsuka chuckles, "I'm sure they'll be too." He said, carefully holding his son in his arms still holding Fou.
James and Lancer of Christianity walked up to the Chaldeans, ready to go to Cokeworth. "Master, we're ready to depart soon," Lancer informed his master.
"The drive will be at least an hour and a half from here, if we leave now the traffic will be lessened," James told the Chaldeans about the ride over to his In-laws.
Kingu walks down the stairs, arms behind his head with Tiamat by his side. "About time, I was getting sick of waiting around here." He said out loud, uncaring what the others say.
"Laaa," Tiamat sighs, guiding her son into the van.
"Tch, fine." Kingu huffed, entering the vehicle.
Jane, Jamie, Ron, and Hermione arriving at the driveway of the Black's home. "I can't believe that we're leaving each other after all we've been through," Hermione commented, stopping near the door.
Jane nodded, feeling bittersweet that the three are separating for the holidays once again. "'I know, it's almost been a year since we last separated for the holidays." She commented before hugging them both.
"Awe, Jane don't worry." Hermione hugged her back.
Ron nodded, "We'll see you soon, like during your grandparent's Christmas party!" he smiles at her.
"JANE! Let's go! Grandma and Grandpa are waiting for us!" Jamie shouted, calling his sister over to get inside the car.
Jane looks at the minivan, Mashu entered the back with Romani after Ritsuka handed him over to her. Tiamat enters too along with Kingu, Jamie rushes to Ritsuka side with an excited smile on his face. "Ritsuka, can you sit with me please?" He begs him.
Ritsuka chuckles, ruffling his hair. "Sure, Jamie." He said, motioning him to go inside.
"Well, I'll see you guys soon." Jane waved bye at her friends before entering the minivan.
The vehicle departs Grimmauld Place, leaving Charlie and the rest behind watching it disappear around the corner.
Cokeworth River St Number 54, December 22, 1995
Mary Evans stood at the driveway of her home, watching Petunia stepping out of her son-in-law's car. Her chubby grandson kicks open the back door, rushing out of the back. "Mummy we're here! We're here at Granny's!" Dudley exclaims.
"I know my Dudley puppy; now why don't you say hello to Granny there." Petunia points over to the old woman with two grey streaks in her red hair.
Dudley rushed over to Mary with a bright smile. "Hi, Grandmama! Is there food inside your house?" He asked his grandmother, uncaring how rude his tone is.
'What is that girl teaching her son nowadays.' Mary sighs at how spoiled her grandson is. But for the sake of her family after a tragic loss, she has to put on a brave face. "Y-Yes, Dudley there right inside at the kitchen counter, your grandpa is preparing them now." Her smile was a bit strain, but luckily Dudley is too dense to notice.
"Yay!" Dudley ran inside, wanting to eat all the food he can get.
Mary sighs, looking at her fifteen-year-old grandson acting like a five-year-old. She notices Vernon and her eldest daughter walking up to her with their luggage in hand. "Hello mother, it is so nice to see you again." Petunia smiles.
"You know, Petunia there was an opportunity for you to see your family at your nephew's funeral last spring," Mary said, a bit peeved at the Dursleys for not even attend Harry's funeral session not alone send a letter of condolence to Lily and her family.
Vernon chuckles, "Ohohoho, Ma-mother, you know very well that my work isn't that lenient for a silly old party." He said, not even a hint of sympathy for James and Lily.
Petunia smiles, an ugly one for that as she places her hand on the walrus's shoulder. "Yes, do understand mother that we are a hard-working family. Everyday life will get in the way of the little things you know?" she said.
Mary just retains her strained smile, hating how her own daughter could say that. "W-Well, please why don't you show yourselves inside. Harrison would be…delighted to see his daughter and son-in-law after this year." She motions them into her home.
"Why thank you, mother. Come Pet, I'm sure our rooms are the same as we left them." Vernon said, taking his wife's hands and enter the medium-sized home.
Once inside, Mary let out a sigh of distraught. "God, if you are out there please forgive me for hating my own daughter's snob attitude." She spat before recollecting herself for Lily's family along with…someone else.
Mary saw the grey van coming up from the corner sign and stopping at her driveway. She smiles, seeing the face of her daughter and her husband, "James, Lily I'm so happy you two could make it after what has happened." She said to the couple.
Lily walks up to her mother, hugging her. "Thank you, mum, I know you too are suffering as we are." She said, letting her go.
Mary hugged James after Lily, happy to see him well since the funeral. "And James, how are you been? I know this year is especially hard with your side of the family." She said that hearing how Charles and Euphemia are taking their next heir to the family was taken away.
"They're doing fine, but still in mourning," James said solemnly.
The van's door slides open, letting her two grandchildren out. "Grandma!" Jamie and Jane rushed to hug the elderly woman.
"Oh, I missed you two," Mary said, happy to see them still retaining their old sense of self.
"Grandma! Grandma, you could never guess what just happen during the end of summer!" Jamie jumped with glee.
Jane looks to the side, a bit uncomfortable to add to her brother's statement. "W-Well I do have some idea, Jamie," Mary said, eyes drawing at the brown-haired French maid exiting the van with a silver-haired man in a butler's outfit. They move to the back, opening it to retrieve the other luggage.
The next was a long green-haired feminine man, he wore a green sweater, white pants, and slip-on shoes. "Tch, look at this place. Dark and dingy, I swear the humans of this era are-"
"LAAA!" Mary jumps hearing a beautiful yet frightening note coming behind the young man.
Kingu sighs, walking to the side. "Yes, mother I know to watch my tongue for brother's sake." Hed rolled his eyes. The woman got of the vehicle, she wore a dark green sweater and a long skirt, her hair was a teal color that reaches the ground.
Tiamat looks around, not feeling the Christmas spirit around the neighborhood that much. "Laaaa," Mary finally saw that this woman was holding the sleeping Abigal in her arms, cradling her maternally as if she was her own.
"Tiamat-san, can you help me in getting Romani's things in the back?" A young girl with violet hair in designer clothing that she could dream of. (Bright Voyager costume) In her arms was a familiar sight, a young boy that is much like Harry when he was a toddler but with violet hair and eyes like sapphire. He wore a white winter coat and black pants and boots; on his back was the Chaldea symbol.
"Mashu, I can help with that. Mother has her hands full with Abby."
Mary's eyes shot open; she already knew of this doppelganger from Lily's letters. To see him with her own eyes is just so…so…nostalgic. "O-Oh my…" She couldn't find the words to describe the sight before her.
The man was wearing a white shirt with a black tie and black pants, he wore the same jacket as the little boy with white boots that reach right under his knees.
Mary looks over to Lily and James, their faces were expressing a bit of nervousness about this situation. "I-I have a lot to catch both you and daddy on, mom." Lily smiles nervously at her.
