Chapter 38
Georgie grinned when she heard Johnny's door handle jiggle. She had been staying there, for the most part, wanting to be as close to him as she could.
A smile lit up his face. He looks tired, so she gets up and meets him halfway.
"I missed you," he said as he took the time to peruse her. God, he loves this woman. Her eyes and smile light up his world.
"I missed you more. How is she?"
"She's sleeping better."
"But you're worried?"
"Yes. I'm ready to ship her to the island for the duration of this pregnancy."
She gripped him tightly. "I get it. I miss her smiles. They don't reach her eyes anymore."
The memory of how she looked after Lucky died pops into his head. The only difference is this time, she looks haunted and is more withdrawn. He kissed the top of her head knowing exactly what she means.
Retreating, she grasped his hand and pulled him into the bedroom where she slowly stripped him.
"Go take a shower."
That is the last thing on his mind as her hands caress his abs.
"Trust me…"
He did as he was told and just when he was about to finish, the curtain drew back to reveal his girl in all her glory. His eyes darkened and he practically jerked her toward him. Their lips crashed together as they wildly kissed, and then she groaned when his fingers gripped her ass and he lifted, pushing her against the wall. His fingers slid home as he pumped them, and she practically sobbed as she begged him for more.
"Fuck! You're so hot. I have to have you." They'll do slow later. Before she could reply, she was smothering his cock as her walls gripped him tightly. He stilled to catch his breath and then drilled into her, nailing her to the wall with each stroke, and she was practically delirious. "Johnny!"
He went to town as his tongue dueled with hers, and suddenly she froze and the tremor that went through her body shook his.
Her mewl of pleasure spurred him on as he fucked her through it and then stilled as his cock erupted.
"God, I love you."
She grinned as she held him tight. "I love you too."
"You drive me crazy," he said as he lowered her to the ground.
She kissed him languidly. "It's a good crazy though."
He grinned. "Yes, it is."

Enzo jumped when Elizabeth screamed and then hurried toward her.
"Jason!"
The desperateness of the yell made him cringe as he moved to her side. "Elizabeth…"
She is gripping his shirt and then her head flops back and she lets out a terrifying scream.
"Elizabeth!"
She jerks at the sound of his voice and then slowly opens her eyes. When her bottom lip quivers, it broke his heart.
"I almost wish I'd wake up and have no memories like he did after the accident. Maybe it wouldn't hurt so much because I wouldn't constantly know that half of me died that day and I'll never get over him. The pain will never go away."
He eyed her tenderly. "If I could bring him back for you, I would."
She dove against him and he held her tightly, gently rocking her until she fell back asleep. When she wouldn't let him go, he laid down and stared at the ceiling. If Jason is out there, he has to fight, because Elizabeth's pain is just too much for her to bear.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
Elizabeth's eyes blinked a few times and then she realizes that she's laying in Enzo's arm. Looking up, she watched him sleep as wheels turned in her head.
Sensing that's she's awake, he laid still until he felt her hand on his cheek. He hadn't slept very much because he was so worried about her. He had texted one of their techs to watch the monitors. When his eyes fluttered open to meet her gaze, he is alarmed when he spots tears. "Elizabeth?"
Her hand stills. "Life is so short. I want you to be happy."
"What makes you think that I'm not?"
"Because all you do is work."
"I need to protect you."
She shook her head. "Your life shouldn't be all about me."
"Elizabeth…"
"No, Enzo. Do you like Emily?"
"Yes."
"Then don't let anything stop you from experiencing love because you never know how long you have. Jump with both feet in. I know you're worried about me, but I was so lucky to experience his love, even if it was only a short time. I'm thinking about leaving."
"What?"
"I just—it's too painful here."
"Elizabeth… The family needs this baby as much as you do."
"They can see the baby whenever they want. I just—mentally, I just need to get away for a while."
He sighed. "What if I could sneak you to my mom's house? Would that help?"
She rolled onto her back. "It wasn't what I had in mind, but it might be a good change of scenery. I just—could you tell her not to bring up Jason and just treat me normally?"
"I can do that."
"Okay." She got up and went to the bathroom while Enzo called his mother and then he dialed Sonny.
"Enzo? How is she?"
"She's emotional but holding on. Listen, she wanted to leave town—I think for good. I talked her into just going to my mom's house for a while. Can we make it happen?"
Sonny sighed. "Yeah. I guess that's doable. You want to leave right from there?"
"If it's okay, I think it's for the best." It's not good that Elizabeth is stressed all the time.
"Okay. I'll call Emily and have her pack a suitcase. You can swing by and pick it up because I don't think Monica is going to let her go without seeing her first."
"I'll let Liz know."
"Take care of her, Enzo."
"I will."
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
Carly moved into Jason's room with Michael in her arms.
The little boy squealed when he saw his uncle.
Jason's eyes softened. "Hey, Michael."
Michael kicked as Carly chuckled and then she laid the baby on Jason's good side.
The little boy grinned and then got on his knees and started to babble.
"He has a lot to say."
"Yeah. He's just telling you what he has been up to. Right, little man?"
He bounced on his knees as he gave Jason a toothy grin.
"He looks happy."
"Of course, he is because he gets to see you."
Jason doesn't think that's it, but he lets it slide.
"You feel a little better today?"
He nodded.
"Good. I just have him for a few hours. AJ had some emergency board meeting."
"Are you getting along with them?" He wonders if they'll notice that something is seriously wrong with Carly before she's able to take Michael.
She shrugged. "I don't see them much. Alice is usually waiting for me with the baby, and that is fine with me." She doesn't need a bunch of shrews judging her.
"I'm going to take him outside."
"The fresh air is good for him."
She nodded and then lifted Michael into the air, prompting him to laugh.
Jason will never get tired of hearing that sound.
She leaned over so Michael could give him a wet kiss and a few pats and then left him alone.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
Enzo stopped the car in front of the mansion and got out. Alice opened the door carrying Liz's bags and then moved toward him.
"Monica is coming."
"Okay."
He put the luggage in the trunk and then opened the car door for Monica.
Liz's gaze locked on her.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay."
"It will kill me to let you out of my sight, but Sonny explained it to me, and I get it. How long are you going to stay?"
"Honestly, I don't know. I'm guessing at least a week."
Monica let out an uneasy breath. "If you could text us every few days, we'd appreciate it."
"I can do that."
Monica leaned over and kissed her forehead. "I want you to know, that we care regardless of the baby. You're a wonderful woman, Elizabeth Webber and this family loves you."
Liz's eyes pricked with tears. "Thank you. I've grown to love you too."
"Good. Because you're stuck with us. You have no idea how much trouble you're in."
Liz chuckled. "Thanks for the warning."
Monica patted her on the knee. "And don't sign anything Edward hands you. He'll end up having you sign a contract to make your son head of ELQ someday."
Liz laughed. "I'll keep that in mind."
With one more squeeze of her hand, she was gone.
Enzo slipped onto the driver's seat. "You ready to go?"
Liz nodded.
"I'm kind of bummed though," he said as he pulled off.
"Why?"
"Well, there's no snow, and I can't tackle you, so I'm not sure what we can play that I can beat you at."
She rolled her eyes. "Charades?"
He grinned and then chuckled. "Alright, but you better bring it. Annie and I are very good."
Liz smirked. "Consider it bought." It feels good to just go somewhere that she can wind down. While she loves the Q's, they hover, and she had started feeling a bit claustrophobic. On the other hand, having a family around who cares makes her feel good. If it weren't for them, she doesn't know if she would even think she had the chance to be okay again.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
Carly injected something in Jason's IV.
"What's that?"
"Just something to make you chatty."
He frowned. "You're drugging me?"
"I'm doing what I have to do to save you, Jason."
"You're the one I need saving from."
"You're wrong. I'm the only one who loves you like you need to be loved."
Jason rolled his eyes. "What is it going to take to get out of here?"
"You need to cooperate and realize that you belong with us. Once I can trust you, then we'll go somewhere, just the three of us. I already have it planned. We're leaving the country."
Jason studied her for several minutes. When had she lost her mind to this degree? She looks so convinced at what she's saying, and the smile that lights up her face is chilling. As the drug began to course in his veins, he started to get a little drowsy.
Five minutes later, Carly moved closer. "How are you feeling, Jason?" The drug will allow her to know what's really going on in his mind. It's different than her plan b. He won't be able to lie.
"I'm sad."
"Why?"
"I miss Elizabeth. I love her."
Carly's jaw clenched. "I told you that she's gone."
"I'll find her."
"You'll get over her."
"No…she has my heart."
"Are you saying there is no way you'll love me?"
He shook his head. "I don't love you. You hurt me."
"I didn't mean to."
"Yes, you did. You don't care what I want."
"Don't say that."
"It's true. All the decisions you made were all about you."
"I was doing it for you; so that we could be together."
"It was self-preservation at any cost. I think every lie I've ever told since the accident has revolved around you, Carly. You turned me into someone I never wanted to be, and I let you."
She chuckled. "Wow. Jason. I'm glad you think so highly of me. Since you want to go there, I'll tell you the truth. I was trying to spare you, but Elizabeth is gone."
"Stan will find her." His head lopped forward. It feels so heavy.
"He won't be able to find her."
"Why?"
She sighed. "I didn't want to tell you this because I don't think you are ready to handle it."
"What?"
"Elizabeth died, Jason. She was shot too, and she didn't make it. The doctors couldn't save her due to the damage."
His head rose and he just stared at her. "You're lying."
"No, I'm not. You're going to have to accept it."
"I hate you."
Carly's eyes pricked with tears. "I'm sorry."
"No, you're not. Leave me alone."
"Fine…"
She left the room, and a tear ran down Jason's face. He's not sure if she's lying or not, but the longer he has to stay here, the more dangerous it will be for him especially since he can't seem to control his hatred for her. This is all his fault. He had placated her and enabled her lunacy, always allowing her to get away with manipulating and hurting others. If he had just stayed away from her after their Jake's encounters, he would be home with the love of his life instead of here, wondering how long it will take before she completely goes off her hinges and does something irrevocable.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
Enzo parked the car and then chuckled when his sister ran toward it. "You have a fan."
Liz slightly smiled. "I like her too."
Annie opened the car door and Liz slid out and they hugged.
"You look so beautiful."
Liz doesn't feel beautiful at all. "Thank you."
Isabel stood in the doorway. "Welcome."
Liz smiled and made her way over there. "Thanks for having me." They warmly embraced.
"Come inside. Enzo will get your bags."
When they entered the living room. She smiled at Enzo's dad. "Hello."
"Hello. It's good to see you again."
"Thank you for letting me visit."
"Anytime…"
She plopped onto the couch. "What are you watching?"
"Something about sharks."
Liz chuckled. "What else have you been catching up on?"
Antonio's eyes grew wide. "People are crazy. I would never go on television and say or act the way they do. It makes me want to lock Annie in her room."
Annie rolled her eyes and sat on a chair. "I will just have to sneak out then."
"You are grounded."
She shrugged. "You ground me like every day, dad."
"I mean it every time."
Liz laughed. "Is my sweet little Annie really a bad girl?"
Enzo pretended to choke while his dad just shook his head.
"They thought I was sweet back then too." A wicked grin lit up her face that made Annie crack up.
"That's it. Enzo, take her back to Port Charles. She's a bad influence."
Isabel clucked her tongue. "She is not going anywhere. I have plans."
"Like what?" Liz asked.
"Well, I'm trying to perfect a recipe and I need your advice."
"Is chocolate involved?"
Isabel grinned. "Yup."
"Then I'm in."
Enzo shook his head. Liz jumped up and huddled with his mother.
Antonio watched them with a smile on his face. Isabel had already warned him that Liz may have nightmares. He hates that the young woman is so troubled and lost the man of her dreams. He just hopes she can find some peace here before she goes back.
IiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIiIi
For the next three days, Jason wouldn't speak to Carly at all. That's when she decided to use the experimental drug that would leave Jason open to suggestions. Finally, she'll be able to drill him into submission with her words.
When Jason's gaze finally connected with hers, she almost shivered. Ignoring his glare, she pulled down his covers to his waist and washed him up as he seethed.
"What do I have to do, Carly?"
"You know what," she said before toweling him off.
"Did you lie?"
"About Elizabeth? No."
"I need proof."
She rolled her eyes. "Why should I give you anything? You're not cooperating, and you're mean to me."
"Please…"
"Fine…" She moved over to a drawer and retrieved the doctored pictures that one of the men had prepared and took a few of them out and held them up, making him gasp.
His girl is covered with blood. He averted his gaze and said a prayer that it's a lie and she's safe.
"I'll be back in a while."
She left and he growled. He's restrained, so there's no way out unless he complies which makes his stomach turn. There aren't many times in his life that he felt helpless, but this is one of them.
