Chapter 37

The man next to her, who seemed to be her brother, smiled down at his sister before shaking Ali's hand which Shuri had just let go of.

"T'Challa."

The girl called Shuri had her hair braided and put into a ponytail. She was wearing orange dress and black tights which both suited her perfectly though looked incredibly formal. Shuri looked to be around the same age as Ali.

The man was a lot older than them both and looked to be around 20. He was wearing black trousers and a cross between a blazer and a jacket. The blazer-jacket was also black but along the edges of it where silver patterns. They both had an African accent when they spoke and black skin.

All of Shuri's friends and family knew about Shuri's obsession with memes but they didn't understand any of them. She had always felt the need to share her meme obsession and thoughts with someone else so decided to see if Ali knew any.

The obvious way to do that would be to ask but that was just not Shuri's style.

Unfortunately for Tony he had chosen that moment to enter the room.

"So, what do you guys do for fun around here?"

Ali's face lit up like a Christmas tree. She had just found a fellow meme obsessioner who was at least going to be around the tower for a few days.

"I don't know. Sometimes we throw stuff at Kevin."

"Whose Kevin?"

"Kevin!"

Unfortunately for Tony there wasn't anything for Ali to throw so she created a snowball and through that at him instead.

It hit him right in the face and Shuri and Ali literally fell to the floor in laughter while Tony looked both shocked and confused. He wasn't awake enough yet to be angry.

T'Challa looked horrified.

He knew how his sister could get with memes, but it had always just been her then. Now there were two of them and T'Challa was really worried that by the time they left next Sunday, the tower would have collapsed.

"Who just through a snowball at me?"

"YOUR KEVIN!"

Both girls shouted it at the same time while still laughing. The men looked so confused.

Shuri had been to the compound before so ran over to the elevator and got in. Ali ran after here and they left the two men behind as they travelled up to the main living room.

"We need to cause more chaos!"

"I agree but first we need to think of more ways to do it."

Ali was still smiling at what had happened with her Uncle Tony, but she did have an idea of what she could do next. She just needed some chicken nuggets.

She told her plan to Shuri who nodded in excitement before tapping on a bracelet that was on her wrist and telling a holographic person that she needed at least 50 already cooked chicken nuggets.

By the time they had formed their plan they had already arrived in the living room.

Bruce and Clint were up. Ali was starting to think that Natasha and Clint had a rota so that when she was up one of them had to get up as well because Clint was half asleep and he was always there every other morning.

The two silently made their way over to Clint. Ali held up three of her fingers and started to count them down.

Once her last finger was placed down the two jumped up from behind the sofa and landed on Clint. Both shouted Boo as loud as they possibly could.

Clint had almost managed to fall back asleep when the girls had walked in and so hadn't seen them arrive. He only realised that they were there when they gave him the fright of his life.

The girls both heard his scream of surprise and for the second time in the space of 5 minutes fell to the floor laughing.

Bruce looked visibly shocked by the scream as although he was more awake than Clint, he still wasn't fully awake. Now, however, he was.

Natasha chose that moment to enter the room. She had heard Clint's scream and even though FRIDAY had told her what had happened she still wanted to make sure.

Everyone in the tower knew of Shuri's obsession with memes but luckily, she had practically stopped quoting them after realising that nobody understood what she was talking about. The evil grin on both girls faces though was not what Natasha expected to see when she had been told that Ali was with Shuri.

Both men in the room didn't have looks of dread on their faces so it was obvious that they had no idea that Shuri now had someone to share her memes with.

The fact that T'Challa and Tony were nowhere to be found meant that they already knew. Natasha was very much inclined to disappear for the next week. She would still be there but just watch the two from a safe distance and without them knowing. Unfortunately for her though she was very hungry and that, at the moment, took priority.

"Hi Shuri. Where is your brother?"

Clint and Bruce were no longer half asleep, but they were still in a state of shock and so Natasha was the only one at that moment in time who was able to compose herself enough to speak.

"No idea. He is probably hiding after we through a snowball at Kevin."

Natasha had learnt not to ask when Shuri started talking about stuff she didn't understand. Unfortunately for both Clint and Bruce they hadn't learnt that yet.

"Who is Kevin?"

The look that the two girls gave each other and the evil smiles that lit up their faces only confirmed Natasha's theory.

Ali was the first to speak up, out of the pair.

"Do you think it would be acceptable to have more than one Kevin? Like say 6 Kevin's?"

"Why, I think that would be more than acceptable!"

The two men were both now sitting on a sofa and staring at the two girls in confusion.

"They look confused. I think we should enlighten them."

The fact that they were talking about something, that Bruce and Clint were sure was to do with them, and completely ignoring the fact that they were in the room unnerved them.

"I think we should but first I have a very important question for you."

"And whatever could that be?"

The look on Ali's face told Natasha that Ali knew exactly what the question would be. Natasha quickly made her way to the kitchen so that she could duck behind the counter if necessary. Both Ali and Shuri were standing in front of the sofa that Clint and Bruce were sitting on.

"What do you do for fun around here?"

Bruce and Clint had no idea that this was a meme but did know, from the looks on both Shuri and Ali's faces, that they weren't going to like what would happen next.

"Well, sometimes we throw stuff at Kevin."

"Who's Kevin?"

"KEVIN!"

Ali had given a snowball to Shuri once she had asked the first question of the meme. Shuri through her snowball at Bruce and Ali through hers at Clint.

As soon as the snowballs touched the two men, they exploded into a pile of snow which covered the two but left their heads free and above the snow.

Even Natasha laughed when she saw what had happened.

The two men looked like snowmen and had little hats of snow on their heads.

Bruce and Clint looked at each other in horror.

"They know memes!"

"Once we are in my lab, I will seal it shut. There is enough food and water in there to last us a few days."

Ali and Shuri were laughing too hard to hear what the men were saying. It was 7:15 now and the others would soon come into the living room to see what was happening. Unless they had soundproofed their rooms last night there was no way that they could still be asleep after all the commotion and noise.

By the time the two girls had stopped laughing both Clint and Bruce had left the room. They had practically run for it once they had noticed that Ali and Shuri were distracted.

"FRIDAY, can you wake everyone up one at a time and tell them that I have someone I want them to meet in the living room."

This time it was Shuri who had come up with the idea, but she quickly told it to Ali.

They both stood either side of the doorway that connected the corridor where everyone's rooms were located to the living room. From where they were standing, anyone who entered the doorway from the corridor wouldn't see them.

There first victim was Steve.

He was already dressed and wasn't expecting to be ambushed.

As soon as the two girls saw Steve, they both jumped in front of him and shouted,

"WELCOME TO CHILIES!"

They repeated this with everyone that came through the doorway. Unfortunately, they didn't manage to scare Wanda as she had already read Vision's mind when he had stepped through the doorway and so knew what they were doing.

After the job of scaring everyone was completed, Ali showed Shuri her room and they both started to watch their favourite vines and memes on her TV.

Ali did ask if Shuri knew anything about her but soon discovered that she knew everything. Shuri had hacked into a camera in the tower once her brother had told her that she would be visiting it and had seen Ali in the main living room. She then did as much research as she could about her and found out everything.

Shuri also confessed about where she was from and how she was a Princess. Once she had told Ali this, she was relieved to find that the girl didn't start to treat her any differently.

After an hour of watching memes and vines, Shuri's bracelet started vibrating. After pressing on it a hologram of the woman that Shuri had spoken to before on her bracelet appeared.

"I have brought you the 50 chicken nuggets and I am currently in the reception area of this tower as I am assuming that you don't want your brother to know."

"Thanks Okoye. We will be right down."

Ali knew what was happening and so an evil grin lit up her face. Shuri was trying her absolute hardest to try and maintain a serious face but anyone who could see her face saw the mischievous that she was planning.

"I have one request before I go. Please don't completely traumatise your brother as we still need him to rule Wakanda."

With that Okoye disappeared and Shuri looked at Ali with an expression that matched hers before they both ran from the room and towards the elevators.
