Rebecca's Point of View
I woke up and got ready for the day. When I got into the kitchen there was you guessed it, bacon being cooked. I didn't get why I was so adverse to it today, "good morning!" I said leaning in to kiss him when we pulled away. I noticed that Caius and Athenadora were in the room, "good morning to you guys to!" Caius just looked at Aro and said, "I can really see why you say she's a morning person." of course Athenadora giggled to my expense, and the telltale smile played on Aro's lips. I was blushing.
"so what if I'm a morning person?" I said in mock annoyance. "It may not be the fact you're a morning person, but to the degree you are" I looked at Marcus and then Diana, "oh, hey! good morning to you as well!" he tisked and shook his head, "if we weren't vampires, I doubt we'd be as positive as you in the morning."
He went back to the living room with Diana "it's finished," Aro put the meal he was working on in front of me. of course, the bacon didn't entice me as it usually did, I ended up eating only half the meal before nausea hit me. I put down the fork and ran to the bathroom emptying the contents of my stomach into the toilet. Of course, Aro was there in an instantly trying to comfort me.
Usually I don't throw up, even on the worst of days; yet here I was perfectly fine and healthy minus the toilet full of barf. "well, that's not good." I mumbled and tried to stand up, Aro kept me seated and checked my temperature by putting his ice-cold hand to my forehead. I wasn't entirely sure how he would be able to tell the different in temperature. But hey you do you. "you don't have a fever so I'm unsure why you're throwing up."
I just realized my new family was standing in the doorway. Perhaps waiting for Aro's permission to come in. "Dimitri, have you seen anything like this?" he shook his head, "no master" he pursed his lips. "there's only one thing and it couldn't possibly be it." Aro looked at Dimitri annoyed, "and what couldn't possibly be it." He shifted uncomfortably "morning sickness. It's the only thing I can think of, but she can't be she wouldn't have been unfaithful to you."
I couldn't read Aro's expression or the ones of the vampires in the room, "you're very right Dimitri it couldn't be that. She was a virgin before I had sex with her, but if this is a pregnancy then she should be four weeks along, unless… Caius you remember the tales of a half human half vampire?" he looked at Aro like he was crazy for a moment, then understanding passed over his features. He nodded, "maybe, if she is pregnant and the child is a hybrid, then pregnancy could go on different lines. We would have to study it a bit." Aro nodded at him.
he let me stand up and then asked Dimitri "hmm, I guess the question is now is if she can go to the meet and greet or if we should go home now." Dimitri thought for a second "hmm, she could, but I think it would be good to let her eat first, so she has something in her stomach." Marcus spoke "you know what? I'll cook something for her, you can stay with her for the moment."
After they left Aro finally spoke "I'm sorry, I did not realize I could impregnate you." I frowned "why be sorry? this is a chance to create life." I didn't add that I had always wanted children, he already knew. "the stories do say that the child kills the mother. They bite their way out of their mothers." I tried to comfort him. "I think we've already established that they won't be able to kill me."
He looked deep in thought "hmm, there was a vampire named Jhoten long ago that said that he made a half human half vampire. Of course, I thought that it was so laughable that I didn't even take his hand. Maybe if I can come in contact with him, he can help me figure out how to help you."
Marcus came in "I made you some breakfast Rebecca." He left and I gave Aro a hug before going to the kitchen. Leaving him to figure out how to get in contact with this vampire Jhoten guy. As I was eating, I was thinking about what just happened and I muttered "well this is insane." Forgetting that the vampires in the room could hear me, until Caius came over and sat down next to me. "you're very right about that." I sighed "why does my life have to be constant running around solving supernatural problems?" he chuckled dryly, "I'm not sure, but I think there was a reason for all you've been through. We'll be leaving in a few minutes so be ready."
He got up, pushed in his chair, and left. I finished eating and thankfully the food didn't come back up, which was good. As I was putting my plate in the sink, Aro showed up behind me. "Are you ready?" I didn't say anything and merely nodded. Athenadora came in "come on we're going now" and then left, as we walked to the car at human speed I tried making conversation, "did you find a way to get in contact with Jhoten?" he shook his head, "no, not by conventional methods, allying covens said he was somewhere in the amazon." We got to the car and got in; I think Aro was being extra protective of me now that he knew I was pregnant. He didn't let me get into the car by myself, I guess were back at protective instinct. I was trying to think about what I would do if we switched roles, sure enough I would have done the same thing. I sighed, I hate it when others have a reasonable argument for doing things I don't like.
